5 非利士人<06430>將<0853>　神<0430>的約櫃<0727>從以便以謝<04480><072>抬<03947>(8804)到<0935>(8686)亞實突<0795>。
And the Philistines<06430> took<03947>(8804) the ark<0727> of God<0430>, and brought<0935>(8686) it from Ebenezer<072> unto Ashdod<0795>.
2 非利士人<06430>將<0853>　神<0430>的約櫃<0727>抬<03947>(8799)進<0935>(8686){<0853>}大袞<01712>廟<01004>，放<03322>(8686){<0853>}在大袞<01712>的旁邊<0681>。
When the Philistines<06430> took<03947>(8799) the ark<0727> of God<0430>, they brought<0935>(8686) it into the house<01004> of Dagon<01712>, and set<03322>(8686) it by<0681> Dagon<01712>.
3 次日<04480><04283>清早，亞實突人<0796>起來<07925>(8686)，見<02009>大袞<01712>仆倒<05307>(8802)在耶和華<03068>的約櫃<0727>前<09001><06440>，臉<09001><06440>伏於地<0776>，就把<03947>(8799)<0853>大袞<01712>仍立<07725>(8686){<0853>}在原處<09001><04725>。
And when they of Ashdod<0796> arose early<07925>(8686) on the morrow<04283>, behold, Dagon<01712> was fallen<05307>(8802) upon his face<06440> to the earth<0776> before<06440> the ark<0727> of the LORD<03068>. And they took<03947>(8799) Dagon<01712>, and set<07725><00> him in his place<04725> again<07725>(8686).
4 又次日<04480><04283>清早<09002><01242>起來<07925>(8686)，見<02009>大袞<01712>仆倒<05307>(8802)在耶和華<03068>的約櫃<0727>前<09001><06440>，臉<09001><06440>伏於地<0776>，並且大袞<01712>的頭<07218>和兩<08147>手<03709><03027>都在<0413>門檻上<04670>折斷<03772>(8803)，只<07535>剩下<07604>(8738){<05921>}大袞<01712>的殘體。
And when they arose early<07925>(8686) on the morrow<04283> morning<01242>, behold, Dagon<01712> was fallen<05307>(8802) upon his face<06440> to the ground<0776> before<06440> the ark<0727> of the LORD<03068>; and the head<07218> of Dagon<01712> and both<08147> the palms<03709> of his hands<03027> were cut off<03772>(8803) upon the threshold<04670>; only the stump of Dagon<01712> was left<07604>(8738) to him. {the stump...: or, the fishy part}
5 （因<05921>此<03651>，大袞<01712>的祭司<03548>和一切<03605>進<0935>(8802)亞實突<09002><0795>、大袞<01712>廟<01004>的人都不<03808>踏<01869>(8799){<05921>}大袞廟<01712>的門檻<04670>，直到<05704>今<02088>日<03117>。）
Therefore neither the priests<03548> of Dagon<01712>, nor any that come<0935>(8802) into Dagon's<01712> house<01004>, tread<01869>(8799) on the threshold<04670> of Dagon<01712> in Ashdod<0795> unto this day<03117>.
6 耶和華<03068>的手<03027>重重<03513>(8799)加在<0413>亞實突人<0796>身上，敗壞他們<08074>(8686)，使<05221>(8686)他們<0853>生痔瘡<02914>(8675)<09002><06076>。{<0853>}亞實突<0795>和<0853>亞實突的四境<01366>都是如此。
But the hand<03027> of the LORD<03068> was heavy<03513>(8799) upon them of Ashdod<0796>, and he destroyed<08074>(8686) them, and smote<05221>(8686) them with emerods<02914>(8675)<06076>, even Ashdod<0795> and the coasts<01366> thereof.
7 亞實突<0795>人<0582>見<07200>(8799)這<03588>光景<03651>，就說<0559>(8804)：「以色列<03478>　神<0430>的約櫃<0727>不可<03808>留<03427>(8799)在我們這裡<05973>，因為<03588>他的手<03027>重重<07185>(8804)加在我們<05921>和<05921>我們神<0430>大袞<01712>的身上」；
And when the men<0582> of Ashdod<0795> saw<07200>(8799) that it was so, they said<0559>(8804), The ark<0727> of the God<0430> of Israel<03478> shall not abide<03427>(8799) with us: for his hand<03027> is sore<07185>(8804) upon us, and upon Dagon<01712> our god<0430>.
8 就打發<07971>(8799)人去請<0853>非利士<06430>的眾<03605>首領<05633>來<0413>聚集<0622>(8799)，問他們說<0559>(8799)：「我們向以色列<03478>　神<0430>的約櫃<09001><0727>應當怎樣<04100>行<06213>(8799)呢？」他們回答<0559>(8799)說：「可以將以色列<03478>　神<0430>的約櫃<0727>運到<05437>(8735)迦特<01661>去。」於是將<0853>以色列<03478>　神<0430>的約櫃<0727>運到那裡去<05437>(8686)。
They sent<07971>(8799) therefore and gathered<0622>(8799) all the lords<05633> of the Philistines<06430> unto them, and said<0559>(8799), What shall we do<06213>(8799) with the ark<0727> of the God<0430> of Israel<03478>? And they answered<0559>(8799), Let the ark<0727> of the God<0430> of Israel<03478> be carried about<05437>(8735) unto Gath<01661>. And they carried<05437><00> the ark<0727> of the God<0430> of Israel<03478> about<05437>(8686) thither .
9 {<01961>}運到<05437>(8689)之後<0310>{<0853>}，{<01961>}耶和華<03068>的手<03027>攻擊<05221>(8686)那城<09002><05892>，使那城<05892>的<0853>人<0582>大<03966>大<01419>驚慌<04103>，無論<05704>大<01419>小<04480><06996>都{<05921>}生<08368>(8735){<09001>}痔瘡<02914>(8675)<06076>。
And it was so , that, after<0310> they had carried it about<05437>(8689), the hand<03027> of the LORD<03068> was against the city<05892> with a very<03966> great<01419> destruction<04103>: and he smote<05221>(8686) the men<0582> of the city<05892>, both small<06996> and great<01419>, and they had emerods<02914>(8675)<06076> in their secret parts<08368>(8735).
10 他們就把<0853>　神<0430>的約櫃<0727>送到<07971>(8762)以革倫<06138>。{<01961>}　神<0430>的約櫃<0727>到了<09003><0935>(8800){<06138>}，以革倫人<06139>就喊嚷起來<02199>(8799)說<09001><0559>(8800)：「他們將<0853>以色列<03478>　神<0430>的約櫃<0727>運<05437>(8689)到我們這裡<0413>，要害我們<09001><04191>(8687)和<0853>我們的眾民<05971>！」
Therefore they sent<07971>(8762) the ark<0727> of God<0430> to Ekron<06138>. And it came to pass, as the ark<0727> of God<0430> came<0935>(8800) to Ekron<06138>, that the Ekronites<06139> cried out<02199>(8799), saying<0559>(8800), They have brought about<05437>(8689) the ark<0727> of the God<0430> of Israel<03478> to us, to slay<04191>(8687) us and our people<05971>. {us, to...: Heb. me to slay me and my}
11 於是打發人<07971>(8799)去請<0853>非利士<06430>的眾<03605>首領<05633>來<0622>(8799)，說<0559>(8799)：「願你們將<0853>以色列<03478>　神<0430>的約櫃<0727>送<07971>(8761)回<07725>(8799)原處<09001><04725>，免得<03808>害了<04191>(8686)我們<0853>和<0853>我們的眾民<05971>！」原來<03588>　神<0430>的手<03027>重<03966>重<03513>(8804)攻擊那城<08033>，{<09002>}{<03605>}城<05892>中的人有<01961>因驚慌<04103>而死<04194>的；
So they sent<07971>(8799) and gathered together<0622>(8799) all the lords<05633> of the Philistines<06430>, and said<0559>(8799), Send away<07971>(8761) the ark<0727> of the God<0430> of Israel<03478>, and let it go again<07725>(8799) to his own place<04725>, that it slay<04191>(8686) us not, and our people<05971>: for there was a deadly<04194> destruction<04103> throughout all the city<05892>; the hand<03027> of God<0430> was very<03966> heavy<03513>(8804) there. {us not...: Heb. me not, and my}
12 {<0834>}未<03808>曾死<04191>(8804)的人<0582>都生了<05221>(8717)痔瘡<02914>(8675)<09002><06076>。合城<05892>呼號<07775>，聲音上達<05927>(8799)於天<08064>。
And the men<0582> that died<04191>(8804) not were smitten<05221>(8717) with the emerods<02914>(8675)<06076>: and the cry<07775> of the city<05892> went up<05927>(8799) to heaven<08064>.
