2 雅各<03290>的記略<08435>如下<0428>。約瑟<03130>十七<07651><06240>歲<08141><01121>與<0854>他哥哥們<0251>一同{<01961>}{(8804)}牧<07462>(8802)羊<09002><06629>。他是<01931>個童子<05288>，與<0854>他父親<01>的妾<0802>辟拉<01090>{<01121>}、悉帕<02153>的兒子們<01121>常在一處<0854>。約瑟<03130>將<0853>他哥哥們的惡<07451>行<01681>報<0935>(8686)給<0413>他們的父親<01>。
These are the generations<08435> of Jacob<03290>. Joseph<03130>, being seventeen<06240><07651> years<08141> old<01121>, was feeding<07462>(8802) the flock<06629> with his brethren<0251>; and the lad<05288> was with the sons<01121> of Bilhah<01090>, and with the sons<01121> of Zilpah<02153>, his father's<01> wives<0802>: and Joseph<03130> brought<0935>(8686) unto his father<01> their evil<07451> report<01681>.

And when his brethren<0251> saw<07200>(8799) that their father<01> loved<0157>(8804) him more than all his brethren<0251>, they hated<08130>(8799) him, and could<03201>(8804) not speak<01696>(8763) peaceably<07965> unto him.

And Joseph<03130> dreamed<02492>(8799) a dream<02472>, and he told<05046>(8686) it his brethren<0251>: and they hated<08130>(8800) him yet the more<03254>(8686).

And he said<0559>(8799) unto them, Hear<08085>(8798), I pray you, this dream<02472> which I have dreamed<02492>(8804):
7 {<02009>}我們<0587>在<09002><08432>田<07704>裡捆<0481>(8764)禾稼<0485>，{<02009>}我的捆<0485>起來<06965>(8804){<01571>}站著<05324>(8738)，{<02009>}你們的捆<0485>來圍著<05437>(8799)我的捆<09001><0485>下拜<07812>(8691)。」
For, behold, we were binding<0481>(8764)<08432> sheaves<0485> in the field<07704>, and, lo, my sheaf<0485> arose<06965>(8804), and also stood upright<05324>(8738); and, behold, your sheaves<0485> stood round about<05437>(8799), and made obeisance<07812>(8691) to my sheaf<0485>.
8 他的哥哥們<0251>回答{<09001>}說<0559>(8799)：「難道你真要<04427>(8800)作我們<05921>的王<04427>(8799)嗎？難道<0518>你真要<04910>(8800)管轄<04910>(8799)我們<09002>嗎？」他們就因為<05921>他的夢<02472>和<05921>他的話<01697>越<03254>(8686)發<05750>恨<08130>(8800)他<0853>。
And his brethren<0251> said<0559>(8799) to him, Shalt thou indeed<04427>(8800) reign<04427>(8799) over us? or shalt thou indeed<04910>(8800) have dominion<04910>(8799) over us? And they hated<08130>(8800) him yet the more<03254>(8686) for his dreams<02472>, and for his words<01697>.
9 後來他又<05750>做了<02492>(8799)一夢<02472>，也<0312>告訴<05608>(8762){<0853>}他的哥哥們<09001><0251>說<0559>(8799)：「看哪<02009>，我又<05750>做了<02492>(8804)一夢<02472>，夢見<02009>太陽<08121>、月亮<03394>，與十一<0259><06240>個星<03556>向我<09001>下拜<07812>(8693)。」
And he dreamed<02492>(8799) yet another<0312> dream<02472>, and told<05608>(8762) it his brethren<0251>, and said<0559>(8799), Behold, I have dreamed<02492>(8804) a dream<02472> more; and, behold, the sun<08121> and the moon<03394> and the eleven<06240><0259> stars<03556> made obeisance<07812>(8693) to me.
10 約瑟將這夢告訴<05608>(8762){<0413>}他父親<01>和<0413>他哥哥們<0251>，他父親<01>就責備<01605>(8799)他<09002>說<0559>(8799){<09001>}：「你做<02492>(8804)的<0834>這是<02088>甚麼<04100>夢<02472>！難道我<0589>和你母親<0517>、你弟兄<0251>果然<0935>(8800)要來<0935>(8799)俯伏在地<0776>，向你<09001>下拜<09001><07812>(8692)嗎？」
And he told<05608>(8762) it to his father<01>, and to his brethren<0251>: and his father<01> rebuked<01605>(8799) him, and said<0559>(8799) unto him, What is this dream<02472> that thou hast dreamed<02492>(8804)? Shall I and thy mother<0517> and thy brethren<0251> indeed<0935>(8800) come<0935>(8799) to bow down<07812>(8692) ourselves to thee to the earth<0776>?
11 他哥哥們<0251>都嫉妒<07065>(8762)他<09002>，他父親<01>卻把<0853>這話<01697>存在心裡<08104>(8804)。
And his brethren<0251> envied<07065>(8762) him; but his father<01> observed<08104>(8804) the saying<01697>.
12 約瑟的哥哥們<0251>往示劍<09002><07927>去<03212>(8799)放<09001><07462>(8800){<0853>}他們父親<01>的羊<06629>。
And his brethren<0251> went<03212>(8799) to feed<07462>(8800) their father's<01> flock<06629> in Shechem<07927>.
13 以色列<03478>對<0413>約瑟<03130>說<0559>(8799)：「你哥哥們<0251>不是<03808>在示劍<09002><07927>放羊<07462>(8802)嗎？你來<03212>(8798)，我要打發你<07971>(8799)往他們那裡去<0413>。」約瑟說<0559>(8799)：「我在這裡<02009>。」
And Israel<03478> said<0559>(8799) unto Joseph<03130>, Do not thy brethren<0251> feed<07462>(8802) the flock in Shechem<07927>? come<03212>(8798), and I will send thee<07971>(8799) unto them. And he said<0559>(8799) to him, Here am I .
14 以色列{<09001>}說<0559>(8799)：「{<04994>}你去<03212>(8798)看看<07200>(8798){<0853>}你哥哥們<0251>平安不平安<07965>，{<0853>}群羊<06629>平安不平安<07965>，就回來報<07725><00>信<01697>給我<07725>(8685)。」於是打發他<07971>(8799)出希伯崙<02275>谷<04480><06010>，他就往示劍<07927>去<0935>(8799)了。
And he said<0559>(8799) to him, Go<03212>(8798), I pray thee, see<07200>(8798) whether it be well<07965> with thy brethren<0251>, and well<07965> with the flocks<06629>; and bring<07725><00> me word<01697> again<07725>(8685). 15 有人<0376>遇見他<04672>(8799){<02009>}在田野<09002><07704>走迷了路<08582>(8802)，{<0376>}就問他<07592>(8799)說<09001><0559>(8800)：「你找<01245>(8762)甚麼<04100>？」
And a certain man<0376> found him<04672>(8799), and, behold, he was wandering<08582>(8802) in the field<07704>: and the man<0376> asked him<07592>(8799), saying<0559>(8800), What seekest<01245>(8762) thou?
16 他說<0559>(8799)：「我<0595>找<01245>(8764){<0853>}我的哥哥們<0251>，求你<04994>告訴<05046>(8685)我<09001>，他們<01992>在何處<0375>放羊<07462>(8802)。」
And he said<0559>(8799), I seek<01245>(8764) my brethren<0251>: tell<05046>(8685) me, I pray thee, where<0375> they feed<07462>(8802) their flocks .
17 那人<0376>說<0559>(8799)：「他們已經走了<05265>(8804){<04480>}{<02088>}，{<03588>}我聽見<08085>(8804)他們說<0559>(8802)要往多坍<01886>去<03212>(8799)。」約瑟<03130>就去追<03212>(8799)趕<0310>他哥哥們<0251>，遇見他們<04672>(8799)在多坍<09002><01886>。
And the man<0376> said<0559>(8799), They are departed<05265>(8804) hence<02088>; for I heard<08085>(8804) them say<0559>(8802), Let us go<03212>(8799) to Dothan<01886>. And Joseph<03130> went<03212>(8799) after<0310> his brethren<0251>, and found<04672>(8799) them in Dothan<01886>.
18 他們遠遠地<04480><07350>看見<07200>(8799)他<0853>，趁<09002><02962>他還沒有走到<07126>(8799)跟前<0413>，大家就同謀<05230>(8691)要害死<09001><04191>(8687)他<0853>，
And when they saw<07200>(8799) him afar off<07350>, even before he came near<07126>(8799) unto them, they conspired<05230>(8691) against him to slay<04191>(8687) him.
19 彼此<0376><0413><0251>說<0559>(8799)：「你看<02009>！那<01976>做夢的<01167><02472>來了<0935>(8802)。
And they said<0559>(8799) one<0376> to another<0251>, Behold, this<01976> dreamer<01167><02472> cometh<0935>(8802). {dreamer: Heb. master of dreams}
20 {<06258>}來吧<03212>(8798)！我們將他殺了<02026>(8799)，丟<07993>(8686)在一個<09002><0259>坑<0953>裡，就說<0559>(8804)有惡<07451>獸<02416>把他吃了<0398>(8804)。我們且看<07200>(8799)他的夢<02472>將來<01961>(8799)怎麼樣<04100>。」
Come<03212>(8798) now therefore, and let us slay<02026>(8799) him, and cast<07993>(8686) him into some<0259> pit<0953>, and we will say<0559>(8804), Some evil<07451> beast<02416> hath devoured<0398>(8804) him: and we shall see<07200>(8799) what will become of his dreams<02472>.
21 流便<07205>聽見了<08085>(8799)，要救<05337>(8686)他脫離他們的手<04480><03027>，說<0559>(8799)：「我們不可<03808>害<05221>(8686)他的性命<05315>」；
And Reuben<07205> heard<08085>(8799) it , and he delivered<05337>(8686) him out of their hands<03027>; and said<0559>(8799), Let us not kill<05221>(8686)<05315> him.
22 {<07205>}又說<0559>(8799)：「不可<0408>流<08210>(8799)他的血<01818>，可以把他<0853>丟<07993>(8685)在<0413>這<02088>野地<09002><04057>的<0834>坑<0953>裡，不可<0408>下<07971>(8799)手<03027>害他<09002>。」流便的意思是<09001><09001><04616>要救<05337>(8687)他<0853>脫離他們的手<04480><03027>，把他歸<09001><07725>(8687)還<0413>他的父親<01>。
And Reuben<07205> said<0559>(8799) unto them, Shed<08210>(8799) no blood<01818>, but cast<07993>(8685) him into this pit<0953> that is in the wilderness<04057>, and lay<07971>(8799) no hand<03027> upon him; that he might rid<05337>(8687) him out of their hands<03027>, to deliver<07725><00> him to his father<01> again<07725>(8687).
23 {<01961>}{(8799)}{<09003>}{<0834>}約瑟<03130>到<0935>(8804)了<0413>他哥哥們<0251>那裡，他們就剝了<06584>(8686){<0853>}{<03130>}{<0853>}他的外衣<03801>，{<0853>}就是<0834>他穿的<05921>那件彩<06446>衣<03801>，
And it came to pass, when Joseph<03130> was come<0935>(8804) unto his brethren<0251>, that they stript<06584>(8686)<0853> Joseph<03130> out of<0854> his coat<03801>, his coat<03801> of many colours<06446> that was on him; {colours: or, pieces}
24 把<03947>(8799)他<0853>丟<07993>(8686)在坑裡<0953>；那坑<0953>是空的<07386>，裡頭<09002>沒有<0369>水<04325>。
And they took<03947>(8799) him, and cast<07993>(8686) him into a pit<0953>: and the pit<0953> was empty<07386>, there was no water<04325> in it.
25 他們坐下<03427>(8799)吃<09001><0398>(8800)飯<03899>，舉<05375>(8799)目<05869>觀看<07200>(8799)，見<02009>有一夥<0736>米甸的以實瑪利人<03459>從基列<04480><01568>來<0935>(8802)，用駱駝<01581>馱著<05375>(8802)香料<05219>、乳香<06875>、沒藥<03910>，要帶下<09001><03381>(8687)埃及<04714>去<01980>(8802)。
And they sat down<03427>(8799) to eat<0398>(8800) bread<03899>: and they lifted up<05375>(8799) their eyes<05869> and looked<07200>(8799), and, behold, a company<0736> of Ishmeelites<03459> came<0935>(8802) from Gilead<01568> with their camels<01581> bearing<05375>(8802) spicery<05219> and balm<06875> and myrrh<03910>, going<01980>(8802) to carry it down<03381>(8687) to Egypt<04714>.
26 猶大<03063>對<0413>眾弟兄<0251>說<0559>(8799)：「{<03588>}我們殺<02026>(8799){<0853>}我們的兄弟<0251>，藏了<03680>(8765){<0853>}他的血<01818>有甚麼<04100>益處<01215>呢？
And Judah<03063> said<0559>(8799) unto his brethren<0251>, What profit<01215> is it if we slay<02026>(8799) our brother<0251>, and conceal<03680>(8765) his blood<01818>?
27 {<03212>}{(8798)}我們不如將他賣<04376>(8799)給以實瑪利人<09001><03459>，不可<0408>下<01961>(8799)手<03027>害他<09002>；因為<03588>他是<01931>我們的兄弟<0251>，我們的骨肉<01320>。」眾弟兄<0251>就聽從了他<08085>(8799)。
Come<03212>(8798), and let us sell<04376>(8799) him to the Ishmeelites<03459>, and let not our hand<03027> be upon him; for he is our brother<0251> and our flesh<01320>. And his brethren<0251> were content<08085>(8799). {were...: Heb. hearkened}
28 有些米甸的<04084>商<05503>(8802)人<0582>從那裡經過<05674>(8799)，哥哥們就把<0853>約瑟<03130>從<04480>坑<0953>裡拉上來<04900>(8799)<05927>(8686)，講定二十<09002><06242>舍客勒銀子<03701>，把<0853>約瑟<03130>賣<04376>(8799)給以實瑪利人<09001><03459>。他們就把<0853>約瑟<03130>帶到<0935>(8686)埃及<04714>去了。
Then there passed<05674>(8799) by Midianites<04084> merchantmen<0582><05503>(8802); and they drew<04900>(8799) and lifted up<05927>(8686) Joseph<03130> out of the pit<0953>, and sold<04376>(8799) Joseph<03130> to the Ishmeelites<03459> for twenty<06242> pieces of silver<03701>: and they brought<0935>(8686) Joseph<03130> into Egypt<04714>.
29 流便<07205>回<07725>(8799)到<0413>坑<0953>邊，見<02009>約瑟<03130>不在<0369>坑裡<09002><0953>，就撕裂<07167>(8799){<0853>}衣服<0899>，
And Reuben<07205> returned<07725>(8799) unto the pit<0953>; and, behold, Joseph<03130> was not in the pit<0953>; and he rent<07167>(8799) his clothes<0899>.
30 回<07725>(8799)到<0413>兄弟們<0251>那裡，說<0559>(8799)：「童子<03206>沒有了<0369>。我<0589>往哪裡<0575>{<0589>}去<0935>(8802)才好呢？」
And he returned<07725>(8799) unto his brethren<0251>, and said<0559>(8799), The child<03206> is not; and I, whither<0575> shall I go<0935>(8802)?
31 他們宰了<07819>(8799)一隻公<08163>山羊<05795>，{<03947>}{(8799)}把<0853>約瑟<03130>的那件{<03801>}彩衣<03801>染了<02881>(8799)血<09002><01818>，
And they took<03947>(8799) Joseph's<03130> coat<03801>, and killed<07819>(8799) a kid<08163> of the goats<05795>, and dipped<02881>(8799) the coat<03801> in the blood<01818>;
32 打發<07971>(8762)人送<0935>(8686){<0853>}{<03801>}{<06446>}到<0413>他們的父親<01>那裡，說<0559>(8799)：「我們撿了<04672>(8804)這個<02063>；請<04994>認一認<05234>(8685)是<01931>你兒子<01121>的外衣<03801>不是<0518><03808>？」
And they sent<07971>(8762) the coat<03801> of many colours<06446>, and they brought<0935>(8686) it to their father<01>; and said<0559>(8799), This have we found<04672>(8804): know<05234>(8685) now whether it be thy son's<01121> coat<03801> or no.
33 他認得<05234>(8686)，就說<0559>(8799)：「這是我兒子<01121>的外衣<03801>。有惡<07451>獸<02416>把他吃了<0398>(8804)，約瑟<03130>被撕碎了<02963>(8800)！撕碎了<02963>(8776)！」
And he knew it<05234>(8686), and said<0559>(8799), It is my son's<01121> coat<03801>; an evil<07451> beast<02416> hath devoured<0398>(8804) him; Joseph<03130> is without doubt<02963>(8800) rent in pieces<02963>(8776).
34 雅各<03290>便撕裂<07167>(8799)衣服<08071>，腰間<09002><04975>圍上<07760>(8799)麻布<08242>，為<05921>他兒子<01121>悲哀了<056>(8691)多<07227>日<03117>。
And Jacob<03290> rent<07167>(8799) his clothes<08071>, and put<07760>(8799) sackcloth<08242> upon his loins<04975>, and mourned<056>(8691) for his son<01121> many<07227> days<03117>.
35 他的{<03605>}兒<01121>{<03605>}女<01323>都起來<06965>(8799)安慰他<09001><05162>(8763)，他卻不肯<03985>(8762)受安慰<09001><05162>(8692)，說<0559>(8799)：「我必<03588>悲哀著<057>下<03381>(8799)陰間<07585>，到<0413>我兒子<01121>那裡。」約瑟的父親<01>就為他<0853>哀哭<01058>(8799)。
And all his sons<01121> and all his daughters<01323> rose up<06965>(8799) to comfort<05162>(8763) him; but he refused<03985>(8762) to be comforted<05162>(8692); and he said<0559>(8799), For I will go down<03381>(8799) into the grave<07585> unto my son<01121> mourning<057>. Thus his father<01> wept<01058>(8799) for him.
36 米甸人<04084>帶約瑟到埃及<04714>，把他<0853>賣<04376>(8804)給<0413>法老<06547>的內臣<05631>─護衛<02876>長<08269>波提乏<09001><06318>。
And the Midianites<04092> sold<04376>(8804) him into Egypt<04714> unto Potiphar<06318>, an officer<05631> of Pharaoh's<06547>, and captain<08269> of the guard<02876>. {officer: Heb. eunuch: but the word doth signify not only eunuchs, but also chamberlains, courtiers, and officers} {captain...: or, chief marshal: Heb. chief of the slaughter men, or executioners}
