使徒行傳 26章20節 到 26章20節     上一筆  下一筆
 {But declared} (alla ap(8867)gellon). Imperfect active of
apaggell(935c), repeatedly. {Throughout all the country of Judea}
(p(8373)an te t(886e) ch(9372)an t(8873) Ioudaias). The accusative here in the
midst of the datives (	ois en Damask(9369), Ierosolumois, tois
ethnesin) seems strange and Page feels certain that eis should
be here even though absent in Aleph A B. But the accusative of
extent of space will explain it (Robertson, _Grammar_, p. 469).
{Doing works worthy of repentance} (axia t(8873) metanoias erga
prassontas). Accusative case of present active participle
prassontas because of the implied autous with the present
infinitive metanoein (repent) and epistrephein (turn), though
the dative prassousin could have been used to agree with
ethnesin (Gentiles). Cf. Mt 3:8 for similar language used of
the Baptist. Paul, the greatest of theologians, was an
interesting practical preacher.
