12:1 羅波安<07346>往<03212>(8799)示劍<07927>去；因為<03588>以色列人<03478>都<03605>到了<0935>(8804)示劍<07927>要立<09001><04427>(8687)他<0853>作王。
And Rehoboam<07346> went<03212>(8799) to Shechem<07927>: for all Israel<03478> were come<0935>(8804) to Shechem<07927> to make him king<04427>(8687).
12:2 {<01961>}尼八<05028>的兒子<01121>耶羅波安<03379>先前躲避<01272>(8804){<04480>}{<06440>}所羅門<08010>王<04428>，{<01931>}逃往{<05750>}埃及<09002><04714>，{<0834>}{<03379>}住<03427>(8799)在那裡<09002>{<04714>}（他聽見<09003><08085>(8800)這事。）
And it came to pass, when Jeroboam<03379> the son<01121> of Nebat<05028>, who was yet in Egypt<04714>, heard<08085>(8800) of it , (for he was fled<01272>(8804) from the presence<06440> of king<04428> Solomon<08010>, and Jeroboam<03379> dwelt<03427>(8799) in Egypt<04714>;)
12:3 以色列人打發<07971>(8799)人去請<07121>(8799)他<09001>來，他{<03379>}就和以色列<03478>會眾<06951>都<03605>來<0935>(8799){<01696>}{(8762)}見<0413>羅波安<07346>，對他說<09001><0559>(8800)：
That they sent<07971>(8799) and called<07121>(8799) him. And Jeroboam<03379> and all the congregation<06951> of Israel<03478> came<0935>(8799), and spake<01696>(8762) unto Rehoboam<07346>, saying<0559>(8800),
12:4 「你父親<01>使<0853>我們負重軛<05923>，做苦工<07185>(8689)，現在<06258>求你<0859>使<05414>(8804){<01>}{<0834>}我們<05921>做的苦<07186>工<04480><05656>、負的重<03515>軛<04480><05923>輕鬆<07043>(8685)些，我們就事奉你<05647>(8799)。」
Thy father<01> made<07185><00> our yoke<05923> grievous<07185>(8689): now therefore make thou the grievous<07186> service<05656> of thy father<01>, and his heavy<03515> yoke<05923> which he put<05414>(8804) upon us, lighter<07043>(8685), and we will serve<05647>(8799) thee.
12:5 羅波安對他們<0413>說<0559>(8799)：「你們暫且<05750>去<03212>(8798)，第三<07969>日<03117>再來<07725>(8798)見我<0413>。」民<05971>就去了<03212>(8799)。
And he said<0559>(8799) unto them, Depart<03212>(8798) yet for three<07969> days<03117>, then come again<07725>(8798) to me. And the people<05971> departed<03212>(8799).
12:6 羅波安之父<01>所羅門<08010>在<09002><01961>世<02416>的日子，有<0834><01961>侍立<05975>(8802){<0853>}在他面前<06440>的老年人<02205>，羅波安<07346>王<04428>和<0854>他們商議<03289>(8735)，說<09001><0559>(8800)：「你們<0859>給我出個甚麼<0349>主意<03289>(8737)，我好回<09001><07725>(8687)覆<01697>{<0853>}這<02088>民<05971>。」
And king<04428> Rehoboam<07346> consulted<03289>(8735) with the old men<02205>, that stood<05975>(8802) before<06440> Solomon<08010> his father<01> while he yet lived<02416>, and said<0559>(8800), How do ye advise<03289>(8737) that I may<07725>(8687) answer<01697> this people<05971>?
12:7 老年人{<01696>}{(8762)}對他<0413>說<09001><0559>(8800)：「現在<03117>王若<0518>服事<05647>(8804)這<02088>民<09001><05971>如<01961>僕人<05650>，用好<02896>話<01697>回答<06030>(8804){<01696>}{(8765)}他們<0413>，他們就永遠<03605><03117>作<01961>王的<09001>僕人<05650>。」
And they spake<01696>(8762) unto him, saying<0559>(8800), If thou wilt be a servant<05650> unto this people<05971> this day<03117>, and wilt serve<05647>(8804) them, and answer<06030>(8804) them, and speak<01696>(8765) good<02896> words<01697> to them, then they will be thy servants<05650> for ever<03117>.
12:8 王卻不用<05800>(8799){<0853>}老年人<02205>{<0834>}給他<03289>(8804)出的主意<06098>，就和<0853>那些<0834>與他<0854>一同長大<01431>(8804)、{<0834>}在他面前<09001><06440>侍立<05975>(8802)的少年人<03206>商議<03289>(8735)，
But he forsook<05800>(8799) the counsel<06098> of the old men<02205>, which they had given<03289>(8804) him, and consulted<03289>(8735) with the young men<03206> that were grown up<01431>(8804) with him, and which stood<05975>(8802) before<06440> him:
12:9 說<0559>(8799){<0413>}：「這<02088>民<05971>{<01696>}{(8765)}對我<0413>說<09001><0559>(8800)：『你父親<01>使<05414>(8804)我們負<05921>重軛<05923>，{<0834>}求你使我們輕鬆<07043>(8685)些<04480>。』你們<0859>給我出個甚麼<04100>主意<03289>(8737)，我好回<07725>(8686)覆<01697>{<0853>}他們<0834>。」
And he said<0559>(8799) unto them, What counsel give<03289>(8737) ye that we may<07725>(8686) answer<01697> this people<05971>, who have spoken<01696>(8765) to me, saying<0559>(8800), Make<07043><00> the yoke<05923> which thy father<01> did put<05414>(8804) upon us lighter<07043>(8685)?
12:10 那<0834>同他<0854>長大<01431>(8804)的少年人<03206>{<01696>}{(8762)}{<0413>}說<09001><0559>(8800)：「{<03541>}{<01696>}{(8762)}這<02088>民<09001><05971>{<0834>}{<01696>}{(8765)}對王<0413>說<09001><0559>(8800)：『你父親<01>使我們負<03513>(8689){<0853>}重軛<05923>，求你<0859>使我們<04480><05921>輕鬆些<07043>(8685)。』王要對他們<0413>如此<03541>說<0559>(8799)：『我的小拇指頭<06995>比我父親<01>的腰<04480><04975>還粗<05666>(8804)。
And the young men<03206> that were grown up<01431>(8804) with him spake<01696>(8762) unto him, saying<0559>(8800), Thus shalt thou speak<0559>(8799) unto this people<05971> that spake<01696>(8765) unto thee, saying<0559>(8800), Thy father<01> made<03513><00> our yoke<05923> heavy<03513>(8689), but make thou it lighter<07043>(8685) unto us; thus shalt thou say<01696>(8762) unto them, My little<06995> finger shall be thicker<05666>(8804) than my father's<01> loins<04975>.
12:11 {<06258>}我父親<01>使你們<05921>負<06006>(8689)重<03515>軛<05923>，我<0589>必使你們負<05921>更重<03254>(8686)的軛<05923>！我父親<01>用鞭子<09002><07752>責打<03256>(8765)你們<0853>，我<0589>要用蠍子鞭<09002><06137>責打<03256>(8762)你們<0853>！』」
And now whereas my father<01> did lade<06006>(8689) you with a heavy<03515> yoke<05923>, I will add<03254>(8686) to your yoke<05923>: my father<01> hath chastised<03256>(8765) you with whips<07752>, but I will chastise<03256>(8762) you with scorpions<06137>.
12:12 耶羅波安<03379>和眾<03605>百姓<05971>遵著<09003><0834>羅波安<07346>王<04428>所說<01696>(8765)<09001><0559>(8800)「你們第三<07992>日<09002><03117>再來<07725>(8798)見我<0413>」的那話，第三<07992>日<09002><03117>他們果然來了<0935>(8799){<0413>}。
So Jeroboam<03379> and all the people<05971> came<0935>(8799) to Rehoboam<07346> the third<07992> day<03117>, as the king<04428> had appointed<01696>(8765), saying<0559>(8800), Come to me again<07725>(8798) the third<07992> day<03117>.
12:13 王<04428>用嚴厲的<07186>話回答<06030>(8799){<0853>}百姓<05971>，不用<05800>(8799){<0853>}老年人<02205>給他<03289>(8804)所<0834>出的主意<06098>，
And the king<04428> answered<06030>(8799) the people<05971> roughly<07186>, and forsook<05800>(8799) the old men's<02205> counsel<06098> that they gave<03289>(8804) him; {roughly: Heb. hardly}
12:14 照著少年人<03206>所出的主意<09003><06098>{<01696>}{(8762)}對民<0413>說<09001><0559>(8800)：「我父親<01>使你們負重<03513>(8689){<0853>}軛<05923>，我<0589>必使你們負<05921>更重<03254>(8686)的軛<05923>！我父親<01>用鞭子<09002><07752>責打<03256>(8765)你們<0853>，我<0589>要用蠍子鞭<09002><06137>責打<03256>(8765)你們<0853>！」
And spake<01696>(8762) to them after the counsel<06098> of the young men<03206>, saying<0559>(8800), My father<01> made<03513><00> your yoke<05923> heavy<03513>(8689), and I will add<03254>(8686) to your yoke<05923>: my father<01> also chastised<03256>(8765) you with whips<07752>, but I will chastise<03256>(8762) you with scorpions<06137>.
12:15 王<04428>不肯<03808>依<08085>(8804)從<0413>百姓<05971>，這事<05438>乃<03588><01961>出於<04480><05973>耶和華<03068>，為<09001><04616>要應驗<06965>(8687){<0853>}他{<03068>}藉<09002><03027>示羅人<07888>亞希雅<0281>對<0413>尼八<05028>的兒子<01121>耶羅波安<03379>所<0834>說<01696>(8765)的話<01697>。
Wherefore the king<04428> hearkened<08085>(8804) not unto the people<05971>; for the cause<05438> was from the LORD<03068>, that he might perform<06965>(8687) his saying<01697>, which the LORD<03068> spake<01696>(8765) by<03027> Ahijah<0281> the Shilonite<07888> unto Jeroboam<03379> the son<01121> of Nebat<05028>.
12:16 以色列<03478>眾民<03605>見<07200>(8799){<03588>}王<04428>不<03808>依<08085>(8804)從他們<0413>，{<05971>}就{<07725>}{(8686)}對<0853>王<04428>{<01697>}說<09001><0559>(8800)：我們<09001>與大衛<09002><01732>有甚麼<04100>分兒<02506>呢？與耶西<03448>的兒子<09002><01121>並沒有<03808>關涉<05159>。以色列人<03478>哪，各回各家<09001><0168>去吧！{<06258>}大衛<01732>家啊，自己顧<07200>(8798)自己{<09002>}{<01004>}吧！於是，以色列人<03478>都回自己家<09001><0168>裡去<03212>(8799)了，
So<07725>(8686) when all Israel<03478> saw<07200>(8799) that the king<04428> hearkened<08085>(8804) not unto them, the people<05971> answered<01697> the king<04428>, saying<0559>(8800), What portion<02506> have we in David<01732>? neither have we inheritance<05159> in the son<01121> of Jesse<03448>: to your tents<0168>, O Israel<03478>: now see<07200>(8798) to thine own house<01004>, David<01732>. So Israel<03478> departed<03212>(8799) unto their tents<0168>.
12:17 惟獨住<03427>(8802)猶大<03063>城邑<09002><05892>的以色列<03478>人<01121>，羅波安<07346>仍作他們<05921>的王<04427>(8799)。
But as for the children<01121> of Israel<03478> which dwelt<03427>(8802) in the cities<05892> of Judah<03063>, Rehoboam<07346> reigned<04427>(8799) over them.
12:18 羅波安<07346>王<04428>差遣<07971>(8799){<0853>}掌管<05921>服苦之人<04522>的<0834>亞多蘭<0151>往以色列人那裡去，{<03605>}以色列人<03478>就用石頭<068>打<07275>(8799)死<04191>(8799)他<09002>。羅波安<07346>王<04428>急忙<0553>(8694)上<09001><05927>(8800)車<09002><04818>，逃回<09001><05127>(8800)耶路撒冷<03389>去了。
Then king<04428> Rehoboam<07346> sent<07971>(8799) Adoram<0151>, who was over the tribute<04522>; and all Israel<03478> stoned<07275>(8799) him with stones<068>, that he died<04191>(8799). Therefore king<04428> Rehoboam<07346> made speed<0553>(8694) to get him up<05927>(8800) to his chariot<04818>, to flee<05127>(8800) to Jerusalem<03389>. {made...: Heb. strengthened himself}
12:19 這樣，以色列人<03478>背叛<06586>(8799)大衛<01732>家<09002><01004>，直到<05704>今<02088>日<03117>。
So Israel<03478> rebelled<06586>(8799) against the house<01004> of David<01732> unto this day<03117>. {rebelled: or, fell away}
12:20 {<01961>}以色列眾<03605>人<03478>聽見<09003><08085>(8800){<03588>}耶羅波安<03379>回來了<07725>(8804)，就打發<07971>(8799)人去請<07121>(8799)他<0853>到<0413>會眾<05712>面前，立他<0853>作<05921>以色列<03478>眾人<03605>的王<04427>(8686)。除了<02108>猶大<03063>支派<07626>以外<09001><0905>，沒<03808>有<01961>順從<0310>大衛<01732>家<01004>的。
And it came to pass, when all Israel<03478> heard<08085>(8800) that Jeroboam<03379> was come again<07725>(8804), that they sent<07971>(8799) and called<07121>(8799) him unto the congregation<05712>, and made him king<04427>(8686) over all Israel<03478>: there was none that followed<0310> the house<01004> of David<01732>, but<02108> the tribe<07626> of Judah<03063> only.
12:21 羅波安<07346>來到<0935>(8799)耶路撒冷<03389>，招聚<06950>(8686){<0853>}猶大<03063>全<03605>家<01004>和<0853>便雅憫<01144>支派<07626>的人共十八萬<03967><08084><0505>，都是挑選<0977>(8803)的戰<04421>士<06213>(8802)，要與<05973>以色列<03478>家<01004>爭戰<09001><03898>(8736)，好將<0853>國<04410>奪回<09001><07725>(8687)，再歸所羅門<08010>的兒子<01121>羅波安<09001><07346>。
And when Rehoboam<07346> was come<0935>(8799) to Jerusalem<03389>, he assembled<06950>(8686) all the house<01004> of Judah<03063>, with the tribe<07626> of Benjamin<01144>, an hundred<03967> and fourscore<08084> thousand<0505> chosen men<0977>(8803), which were warriors<06213>(8802)<04421>, to fight<03898>(8736) against the house<01004> of Israel<03478>, to bring<07725><00> the kingdom<04410> again<07725>(8687) to Rehoboam<07346> the son<01121> of Solomon<08010>.
12:22 但　神<0430>的話<01697>臨<01961>到<0413>神<0430>人<0376>示瑪雅<08098>，說<09001><0559>(8800)：
But the word<01697> of God<0430> came unto Shemaiah<08098> the man<0376> of God<0430>, saying<0559>(8800),
12:23 「你去告訴<0559>(8798){<0413>}所羅門<08010>的兒子<01121>猶大<03063>王<04428>羅波安<07346>和<0413>猶大<03063>、便雅憫<01144>全<03605>家<01004>，並其餘<03499>的民<05971>說<09001><0559>(8800)：
Speak<0559>(8798) unto Rehoboam<07346>, the son<01121> of Solomon<08010>, king<04428> of Judah<03063>, and unto all the house<01004> of Judah<03063> and Benjamin<01144>, and to the remnant<03499> of the people<05971>, saying<0559>(8800),
12:24 『耶和華<03068>如此<03541>說<0559>(8804)：你們不可<03808>上去<05927>(8799){<03808>}與<05973>你們的弟兄<0251>以色列<03478>人<01121>爭戰<03898>(8735)。各<0376>歸<07725>(8798)各家<09001><01004>去吧！因為<03588>這<02088>事<01697>{<01961>}{(8738)}出於我<04480><0854>。』」眾人就聽從<08085>(8799){<0853>}耶和華<03068>的話<01697>，遵著耶和華<03068>的命<09003><01697>回<07725>(8799)去了<09001><03212>(8800)。
Thus saith<0559>(8804) the LORD<03068>, Ye shall not go up<05927>(8799), nor fight<03898>(8735) against your brethren<0251> the children<01121> of Israel<03478>: return<07725>(8798) every man<0376> to his house<01004>; for this thing<01697> is<01961>(8738) from me. They hearkened<08085>(8799) therefore to the word<01697> of the LORD<03068>, and returned<07725>(8799) to depart<03212>(8800), according to the word<01697> of the LORD<03068>.
12:25 耶羅波安<03379>在以法蓮<0669>山地<09002><02022>建築<01129>(8799){<0853>}示劍<07927>，就住<03427>(8799)在其中<09002>；又從示劍<04480><08033>出去<03318>(8799)，建築<01129>(8799){<0853>}毘努伊勒<06439>。
Then Jeroboam<03379> built<01129>(8799) Shechem<07927> in mount<02022> Ephraim<0669>, and dwelt<03427>(8799) therein; and went out<03318>(8799) from thence, and built<01129>(8799) Penuel<06439>.
12:26 耶羅波安<03379>心裡<09002><03820>說<0559>(8799)：「恐怕<06258>這國<04467>仍歸<07725>(8799)大衛<01732>家<09001><01004>；
And Jeroboam<03379> said<0559>(8799) in his heart<03820>, Now shall the kingdom<04467> return<07725>(8799) to the house<01004> of David<01732>:
12:27 這<02088>民<05971>若<0518>上<05927>(8799)耶路撒冷<09002><03389>去，在耶和華<03068>的殿<09002><01004>裡獻<09001><06213>(8800)祭<02077>，他們{<05971>}{<02088>}的心<03820>必歸<07725>(8804)向<0413>他們的主<0113>─猶大<03063>王<04428>{<0413>}羅波安<07346>，就把我殺了<02026>(8804)，仍歸<07725>(8804)猶大<03063>王<04428>{<0413>}羅波安<07346>。」
If this people<05971> go up<05927>(8799) to do<06213>(8800) sacrifice<02077> in the house<01004> of the LORD<03068> at Jerusalem<03389>, then shall the heart<03820> of this people<05971> turn again<07725>(8804) unto their lord<0113>, even unto Rehoboam<07346> king<04428> of Judah<03063>, and they shall kill<02026>(8804) me, and go again<07725>(8804) to Rehoboam<07346> king<04428> of Judah<03063>.
12:28 耶羅波安王<04428>就籌劃<03289>(8735)定妥，鑄造了<06213>(8799)兩個<08147>金<02091>牛犢<05695>，對眾民<0413>說<0559>(8799)：「以色列人<03478>哪，你們上<04480><05927>(8800)耶路撒冷<03389>去實在是難<07227>{<09001>}；{<02009>}這就是<0834>領你們出<05927>(8689)埃及<04714>地<04480><0776>的　神<0430>。」
Whereupon the king<04428> took counsel<03289>(8735), and made<06213>(8799) two<08147> calves<05695> of gold<02091>, and said<0559>(8799) unto them, It is too much<07227> for you to go up<05927>(8800) to Jerusalem<03389>: behold thy gods<0430>, O Israel<03478>, which brought thee up<05927>(8689) out of the land<0776> of Egypt<04714>.
12:29 他就把<0853>牛犢一隻<0259>安<07760>(8799)在伯特利<09002><01008>，{<0853>}一隻<0259>安<05414>(8804)在但<09002><01835>。
And he set<07760>(8799) the one<0259> in Bethel<01008>, and the other<0259> put<05414>(8804) he in Dan<01835>.
12:30 這<02088>事<01697>叫<01961>百姓<05971>陷在罪<09001><02403>裡，因為他們往<05704>但<01835>去<03212>(8799)拜那<0259>牛犢{<09001>}{<06440>}。
And this thing<01697> became a sin<02403>: for the people<05971> went<03212>(8799) to worship before<06440> the one<0259>, even unto Dan<01835>.
12:31 耶羅波安在邱壇<01116>那裡建<06213>(8799){<0853>}殿<01004>，將那<0834>不<03808><01961>屬利未<03878>人<04480><01121>的凡<04480><07098>民<05971>立<06213>(8799)為祭司<03548>。
And he made<06213>(8799) an house<01004> of high places<01116>, and made<06213>(8799) priests<03548> of the lowest<07098> of the people<05971>, which were not of the sons<01121> of Levi<03878>.
12:32 耶羅波安<03379>定<06213>(8799)八<08066>月<09002><02320>{<09001>}{<02320>}十五<09002><02568><06240>日<03117>為節期<02282>，像<0834>在猶大<09002><03063>的節期<09003><02282>一樣，自己上<05921>壇<04196>獻祭<05927>(8686)。他在伯特利<09002><01008>也這樣<03651>{<06213>}{(8804)}向他所<0834>鑄<06213>(8804)的牛犢<09001><05695>獻祭<09001><02076>(8763)，又將<0853>立<06213>(8804)為<0834>邱壇<01116>的祭司<03548>安置<05975>(8689)在伯特利<09002><01008>。
And Jeroboam<03379> ordained<06213>(8799) a feast<02282> in the eighth<08066> month<02320>, on the fifteenth<02568><06240> day<03117> of the month<02320>, like unto the feast<02282> that is in Judah<03063>, and he offered<05927>(8686) upon the altar<04196>. So did<06213>(8804) he in Bethel<01008>, sacrificing<02076>(8763) unto the calves<05695> that he had made<06213>(8804): and he placed<05975>(8689) in Bethel<01008> the priests<03548> of the high places<01116> which he had made<06213>(8804). {offered...: or, went up to the altar, etc} {sacrificing: or, to sacrifice}
12:33 他{<05927>}{(8686)}{<05921>}{<04196>}{<0834>}{<06213>}{(8804)}在八<08066>月<09002><02320>十五<09002><02568><06240>日<03117>，就是<0834>他私自<04480><03820>所定<0908>(8804)的月<09002><02320>日，為以色列<03478>人<09001><01121>立作<06213>(8799)節期<02282>的日子，在伯特利<09002><01008>上<05927>(8686){<05921>}壇<04196>燒香<09001><06999>(8687)。
So he offered<05927>(8686) upon the altar<04196> which he had made<06213>(8804) in Bethel<01008> the fifteenth<02568><06240> day<03117> of the eighth<08066> month<02320>, even in the month<02320> which he had devised<0908>(8804) of his own heart<03820>; and ordained<06213>(8799) a feast<02282> unto the children<01121> of Israel<03478>: and he offered<05927>(8686) upon the altar<04196>, and burnt incense<06999>(8687). {offered...: or, went up to the altar, etc} {and burnt...: Heb. to burn incense}
