5:1 {<03588>}{<01961>}泰爾<06865>王<04428>希蘭<02438>，平素<03605><03117>愛<0157>(8802)大衛<09001><01732>；{<03588>}他聽見<08085>(8804){<03588>}以色列人膏<04886>(8804){<0853>}所羅門<08010>，接續<08478>他父親<01>作王<09001><04428>，{<02438>}就差遣<07971>(8799){<0853>}臣僕<05650>來見<0413>他。
And Hiram<02438> king<04428> of Tyre<06865> sent<07971>(8799) his servants<05650> unto Solomon<08010>; for he had heard<08085>(8804) that they had anointed<04886>(8804) him king<04428> in the room of his father<01>: for Hiram<02438> was ever<03117> a lover<0157>(8802) of David<01732>. {Hiram: also called, Huram}
5:2 所羅門<08010>也差遣<07971>(8799)人去見<0413>希蘭<02438>，說<09001><0559>(8800)：
And Solomon<08010> sent<07971>(8799) to Hiram<02438>, saying<0559>(8800),
5:3 「你<0859>知道<03045>(8804){<0853>}我父親<01>大衛<01732>{<03588>}因<04480><06440>四圍<05437>(8804)的<0834>爭戰<04421>，不<03808>能<03201>(8804)為耶和華<03068>─他上帝<0430>的名<09001><08034>建<09001><01129>(8800)殿<01004>，直等到<05704>耶和華<03068>使仇敵<0853>都服<05414>(8800)在<08478>他腳<07272>{<03709>}下。
Thou knowest<03045>(8804) how that David<01732> my father<01> could<03201>(8804) not build<01129>(8800) an house<01004> unto the name<08034> of the LORD<03068> his God<0430> for<06440> the wars<04421> which were about him on every side<05437>(8804), until the LORD<03068> put<05414>(8800) them under the soles<03709> of his feet<07272>.
5:4 現在<06258>耶和華<03068>─我的上帝<0430>使我<09001>四圍<04480><05439>平安<05117>(8689)，沒有<0369>仇敵<07854>，沒有<0369>災<07451>禍<06294>。
But now the LORD<03068> my God<0430> hath given me rest<05117>(8689) on every side<05439>, so that there is neither adversary<07854> nor evil<07451> occurrent<06294>.
5:5 我<02009>定意<0559>(8802)要為耶和華<03068>─我上帝<0430>的名<09001><08034>建<09001><01129>(8800)殿<01004>，是照<09003><0834>耶和華<03068>應許<01696>(8765){<0413>}我父親<01>大衛<01732>的話說<09001><0559>(8800)：『我必使<05414>(8799)你兒子<01121>{<0834>}接續你<08478>坐<05921>你的位<03678>，他<01931>必為我的名<09001><08034>建<01129>(8799)殿<01004>。』
And, behold, I purpose<0559>(8802) to build<01129>(8800) an house<01004> unto the name<08034> of the LORD<03068> my God<0430>, as the LORD<03068> spake<01696>(8765) unto David<01732> my father<01>, saying<0559>(8800), Thy son<01121>, whom I will set<05414>(8799) upon thy throne<03678> in thy room, he shall build<01129>(8799) an house<01004> unto my name<08034>. {purpose: Heb. say}
5:6 所以<06258>求你吩咐<06680>(8761)你的僕人在<04480>黎巴嫩<03844>為我<09001>砍伐<03772>(8799)香柏木<0730>，我的僕人<05650>也必<01961>幫助<05973>他們<05650>，我必照<09003><03605>你所<0834>定<0559>(8799)的，給<05414>(8799){<09001>}你僕人<05650>的工價<07939>；因為<03588>你<0859>知道<03045>(8804)，{<03588>}在我們中間<09002>沒有<0369>人<0376>像西頓人<09003><06722>善<03045>(8802)於砍伐<09001><03772>(8800)樹木<06086>。」
Now therefore command<06680>(8761) thou that they hew<03772>(8799) me cedar trees<0730> out of Lebanon<03844>; and my servants<05650> shall be with thy servants<05650>: and unto thee will I give<05414>(8799) hire<07939> for thy servants<05650> according to all that thou shalt appoint<0559>(8799): for thou knowest<03045>(8804) that there is not among us any<0376> that can skill<03045>(8802) to hew<03772>(8800) timber<06086> like unto the Sidonians<06722>. {appoint: Heb. say}
5:7 {<01961>}希蘭<02438>聽見<09003><08085>(8800){<0853>}所羅門<08010>的話<01697>，就甚<03966>喜悅<08055>(8799)，說<0559>(8799)：「今日<03117>應當稱頌<01288>(8803)耶和華<03068>；因他<0834>賜<05414>(8804)給大衛<09001><01732>一個有智慧<02450>的兒子<01121>，治理<05921>這<02088>眾多<07227>的民<05971>。」
And it came to pass, when Hiram<02438> heard<08085>(8800) the words<01697> of Solomon<08010>, that he rejoiced<08055>(8799) greatly<03966>, and said<0559>(8799), Blessed<01288>(8803) be the LORD<03068> this day<03117>, which hath given<05414>(8804) unto David<01732> a wise<02450> son<01121> over this great<07227> people<05971>.
5:8 希蘭<02438>打發<07971>(8799)人去見<0413>所羅門<08010>，說<09001><0559>(8800)：「你差遣<07971>(8804)人向我<0413>所提的那事<0834>，我都聽見了<08085>(8804){<0853>}；論到香柏<0730>木<09002><06086>和松<01265>木<09002><06086>，我<0589>必照<0853>{<03605>}你的心願<02656>而行<06213>(8799)。
And Hiram<02438> sent<07971>(8799) to Solomon<08010>, saying<0559>(8800), I have considered<08085>(8804) the things which thou sentest<07971>(8804) to me for: and I will do<06213>(8799) all thy desire<02656> concerning timber<06086> of cedar<0730>, and concerning timber<06086> of fir<01265>. {considered: Heb. heard}
5:9 我的僕人<05650>必將這木料從<04480>黎巴嫩<03844>運<03381>(8686)到海<03220>裡，{<0589>}紮<07760>(8799)成筏子<01702>，浮海<09002><03220>運到<05704>你所<0834>指定<07971>(8799)我<0413>的地方<04725>，在那裡<08033>拆開<05310>(8765)，你<0859>就可以收取<05375>(8799)；你<0859>也要成全<06213>(8799){<0853>}我的心願<02656>，將食物<03899>給<09001><05414>(8800)我的家<01004>。」
My servants<05650> shall bring them down<03381>(8686) from Lebanon<03844> unto the sea<03220>: and I will convey<07760>(8799) them by sea<03220> in floats<01702> unto the place<04725> that thou shalt appoint<07971>(8799) me, and will cause them to be discharged<05310>(8765) there, and thou shalt receive<05375>(8799) them : and thou shalt accomplish<06213>(8799) my desire<02656>, in giving<05414>(8800) food<03899> for my household<01004>. {appoint: Heb. send}
5:10 於是<01961>希蘭<02438>照著所羅門所<03605>要的<02656>，給<05414>(8802)他<09001><08010>香柏<0730>木<06086>和松<01265>木<06086>；
So Hiram<02438> gave<05414>(8802) Solomon<08010> cedar<0730> trees<06086> and fir<01265> trees<06086> according to all his desire<02656>.
5:11 所羅門<08010>給<05414>(8804)希蘭<09001><02438>麥子<02406>二萬<06242><0505>歌珥<03734>，清<03795>油<08081>二十<06242>歌珥<03734>，作他家的<09001><01004>食物<04361>。所羅門<08010>每年<08141><09002><08141>都是這樣<03541>給<05414>(8799)希蘭<09001><02438>。
And Solomon<08010> gave<05414>(8804) Hiram<02438> twenty<06242> thousand<0505> measures<03734> of wheat<02406> for food<04361> to his household<01004>, and twenty<06242> measures<03734> of pure<03795> oil<08081>: thus gave<05414>(8799) Solomon<08010> to Hiram<02438> year<08141> by year<08141>. {measures: Heb. cors}
5:12 耶和華<03068>照著所<09003><0834>應許<01696>(8765)的{<09001>}賜<05414>(8804)智慧<02451>給所羅門<09001><08010>。{<0996>}希蘭<02438>與<0996>所羅門<08010>{<01961>}和好<07965>，彼此<08147>立<03772>(8799)約<01285>。
And the LORD<03068> gave<05414>(8804) Solomon<08010> wisdom<02451>, as he promised<01696>(8765) him: and there was peace<07965> between Hiram<02438> and Solomon<08010>; and they two<08147><00> made<03772>(8799) a league<01285> together<08147>.
5:13 所羅門<08010>王<04428>從<04480><03605>以色列人<03478>中挑取<05927>(8686)服苦的人<04522>共有{<04522>}{<01961>}三萬<07970><0505>{<0376>}，
And king<04428> Solomon<08010> raised<05927>(8686) a levy<04522> out of all Israel<03478>; and the levy<04522> was thirty<07970> thousand<0505> men<0376>. {levy: Heb. tribute of men}
5:14 派他們<07971>(8799)輪流<02487>每月<09002><02320>一萬<06235><0505>人上黎巴嫩<03844>去；{<01961>}一個月<02320>在黎巴嫩<09002><03844>，兩個<08147>月<02320>在家<09002><01004>裡。亞多尼蘭<0141>掌管<05921>他們{<04522>}。
And he sent<07971>(8799) them to Lebanon<03844>, ten<06235> thousand<0505> a month<02320> by courses<02487>: a month<02320> they were in Lebanon<03844>, and two<08147> months<02320> at home<01004>: and Adoniram<0141> was over the levy<04522>.
5:15 所羅門<09001><08010>用<01961>七萬<07657><0505>扛抬<05375>(8802){<05449>}的，八萬<08084><0505>在山<09002><02022>上鑿<02672>(8802)石頭的。
And Solomon<08010> had threescore and ten<07657> thousand<0505> that bare<05375>(8802) burdens<05449>, and fourscore<08084> thousand<0505> hewers<02672>(8802) in the mountains<02022>;
5:16 此外<09001><0905>{<04480>}{<08269>}{<05324>}{(8737)}，所羅門<09001><08010>用三<07969>千<0505>三<07969>百<03967>督<05921>工<09002><04399>的<0834>，監管<07287>(8802)工{<06213>}{(8802)}<04399>人<09002><05971>。
Beside the chief<08269> of Solomon's<08010> officers<05324>(8737) which were over the work<04399>, three<07969> thousand<0505> and three<07969> hundred<03967>, which ruled<07287>(8802) over the people<05971> that wrought<06213>(8802) in the work<04399>.
5:17 王<04428>下令<06680>(8762)，人就鑿出<05265>(8686)又大<01419>{<068>}又寶貴<03368>的石頭<068>來，用以立<09001><03245>(8763)殿<01004>的根基{<068>}{<01496>}。
And the king<04428> commanded<06680>(8762), and they brought<05265>(8686) great<01419> stones<068>, costly<03368> stones<068>, and hewed<01496> stones<068>, to lay the foundation<03245>(8763) of the house<01004>.
5:18 所羅門<08010>的匠人<01129>(8802)和希蘭<02438>的匠人<01129>(8802)，並迦巴勒人<01382>，都將石頭鑿<06458>(8799)好，預備<03559>(8686)木料<06086>和石頭<068>建<09001><01129>(8800)殿<01004>。
And Solomon's<08010> builders<01129>(8802) and Hiram's<02438> builders<01129>(8802) did hew<06458>(8799) them , and the stonesquarers<01382>: so they prepared<03559>(8686) timber<06086> and stones<068> to build<01129>(8800) the house<01004>. {stonesquares: or, Giblites}
