19 有人告訴<05046>(8714)約押<09001><03097>說：「{<02009>}王<04428>為<05921>押沙龍<053>哭泣<01058>(8802)悲哀<056>(8691)。」
And it was told<05046>(8714) Joab<03097>, Behold, the king<04428> weepeth<01058>(8802) and mourneth<056>(8691) for Absalom<053>.
2 {<03588>}眾<09001><03605>民<05971>聽<08085>(8804)說<09001><0559>(8800){<09002>}{<03117>}{<01931>}王<04428>為<05921>他兒子<01121>憂愁<06087>(8738)，{<09002>}{<03117>}{<01931>}他們{<05971>}得勝<08668>的歡樂卻變成<01961>悲哀<09001><060>。
And the victory<08668> that day<03117> was turned into mourning<060> unto all the people<05971>: for the people<05971> heard<08085>(8804) say<0559>(8800) that day<03117> how the king<04428> was grieved<06087>(8738) for his son<01121>. {victory: Heb. salvation, or, deliverance}
3 那<01931>日<09002><03117>眾民<05971>暗暗地<01589>(8691)進<09001><0935>(8800)城<05892>，就如<09003><0834>敗陣<09002><04421>逃跑<09002><05127>(8800)<01589>(8691)、慚愧<03637>(8737)的民<05971>一般。
And the people<05971> gat<0935>(8800) them by stealth<01589>(8691) that day<03117> into the city<05892>, as people<05971> being ashamed<03637>(8737) steal away<01589>(8691) when they flee<05127>(8800) in battle<04421>.
4 王<04428>蒙<03813>(8804)著<0853>臉<06440>，{<04428>}大<01419>聲<06963>哭號<02199>(8799)說：「我兒<01121>押沙龍<053>啊！押沙龍<053>，我兒<01121>，我兒<01121>啊！」
But the king<04428> covered<03813>(8804) his face<06440>, and the king<04428> cried<02199>(8799) with a loud<01419> voice<06963>, O my son<01121> Absalom<053>, O Absalom<053>, my son<01121>, my son<01121>!
5 約押<03097>進去<0935>(8799){<01004>}見<0413>王<04428>，說<0559>(8799)：「你今日<03117>使<0853>你一切<03605>僕人<05650>臉面<06440>慚愧<03001>(8689)了！他們今日<03117>救了<04422>(8764){<0853>}你的性命<05315>和<0853>{<05315>}你兒<01121>女<01323>妻<0802>{<05315>}妾<06370>的性命<05315>，
And Joab<03097> came<0935>(8799) into the house<01004> to the king<04428>, and said<0559>(8799), Thou hast shamed<03001>(8689) this day<03117> the faces<06440> of all thy servants<05650>, which this day<03117> have saved<04422>(8764) thy life<05315>, and the lives<05315> of thy sons<01121> and of thy daughters<01323>, and the lives<05315> of thy wives<0802>, and the lives<05315> of thy concubines<06370>;

In that thou lovest<0157>(8800) thine enemies<08130>(8802), and hatest<08130>(8800) thy friends<0157>(8802). Then the king<04428> arose<06965>(8799), and sat<03427>(8799) in the gate<08179>. And they told<05046>(8689) unto all the people<05971>, saying<0559>(8800), Behold, the king<04428> doth sit<03427>(8802) in the gate<08179>. And all the people<05971> came<0935>(8799) before<06440> the king<04428>: for Israel<03478> had fled<05127>(8804) every man<0376> to his tent<0168>.

10 我們膏<04886>(8804)押沙龍<053>治理我們<05921>，他<0834>已經陣<09002><04421>亡<04191>(8804)。現在<06258>為甚麼<09001><04100>{<0859>}不出一言<02790>(8688)請<0853>王<04428>回來<09001><07725>(8687)呢？」
And Absalom<053>, whom we anointed<04886>(8804) over us, is dead<04191>(8804) in battle<04421>. Now therefore why speak<02790>(8688) ye not a word of bringing<07725><00> the king<04428> back<07725>(8687)? {speak...: Heb. are ye silent?}
11 大衛<01732>王<04428>差<07971>(8804)人去見<0413>祭司<03548>撒督<06659>和<0413>亞比亞他<054>，說<09001><0559>(8800)：「你們當<01696>(8761)向<0413>猶大<03063>長老<02205>說<09001><0559>(8800)：『以色列<03478>眾人<03605>已經有<0935>(8804)話<01697>請<0853>王<04428>回<09001><07725>(8687){<0413>}宮<01004>，你們<01961>為甚麼<09001><04100>落在他們後頭<0314>呢{<0413>}{<04428>}{<0413>}{<01004>}？
And king<04428> David<01732> sent<07971>(8804) to Zadok<06659> and to Abiathar<054> the priests<03548>, saying<0559>(8800), Speak<01696>(8761) unto the elders<02205> of Judah<03063>, saying<0559>(8800), Why are ye the last<0314> to bring<07725><00> the king<04428> back<07725>(8687) to his house<01004>? seeing the speech<01697> of all Israel<03478> is come<0935>(8804) to the king<04428>, even to his house<01004>.
12 你們是<0859>我的弟兄<0251>，是<0859>我的骨<06106>肉<01320>，{<01961>}為甚麼<09001><04100>在人後頭<0314>請<0853>王<04428>回來<09001><07725>(8687)呢？』
Ye are my brethren<0251>, ye are my bones<06106> and my flesh<01320>: wherefore then are ye the last<0314> to bring back<07725>(8687) the king<04428>?
13 也要對亞瑪撒<09001><06021>說<0559>(8799)：『你<0859>不是<03808>我的骨<06106>肉<01320>嗎？我若<0518>不<03808>立你替<08478>約押<03097>常<03605><03117>作<01961>元帥<08269><06635>{<09001>}{<06440>}，願　神<0430>重重地<03254>(8686)降<06213>(8799)罰<03541>與我<09001>！』」
And say<0559>(8799) ye to Amasa<06021>, Art thou not of my bone<06106>, and of my flesh<01320>? God<0430> do<06213>(8799) so to me, and more<03254>(8686) also, if thou be not captain<08269> of the host<06635> before<06440> me continually<03117> in the room<08478> of Joab<03097>.
14 如此就挽回<05186>(8686){<0853>}猶大<03063>眾<03605>人<0376>的心<03824>，如同一<0259>人<09003><0376>的心。他們便打發<07971>(8799)人去見<0413>王<04428>，說：「請王<0859>和王的一切<03605>臣僕<05650>回來<07725>(8798)。」
And he bowed<05186>(8686) the heart<03824> of all the men<0376> of Judah<03063>, even as the heart of one<0259> man<0376>; so that they sent<07971>(8799) this word unto the king<04428>, Return<07725>(8798) thou, and all thy servants<05650>.
15 王<04428>就回來<07725>(8799)，到<0935>(8799)了<05704>約旦河<03383>。猶大人<03063>來到<0935>(8804)吉甲<01537>，要去<09001><03212>(8800)迎接<09001><07125>(8800)王<04428>，請<0853>他<04428>過<09001><05674>(8687)約旦河{<0853>}<03383>。
So the king<04428> returned<07725>(8799), and came<0935>(8799) to Jordan<03383>. And Judah<03063> came<0935>(8804) to Gilgal<01537>, to go<03212>(8800) to meet<07125>(8800) the king<04428>, to conduct<05674><00> the king<04428> over<05674>(8687) Jordan<03383>.
16 巴戶琳的<04480><0980>便雅憫人<01145>、基拉<01617>的兒子<01121>示每<08096>{<0834>}急忙<04116>(8762)與<05973>猶大<03063>人<0376>一同下去<03381>(8799)迎接<09001><07125>(8800)大衛<01732>王<04428>。
And Shimei<08096> the son<01121> of Gera<01617>, a Benjamite<01145>, which was of Bahurim<0980>, hasted<04116>(8762) and came down<03381>(8799) with the men<0376> of Judah<03063> to meet<07125>(8800) king<04428> David<01732>.
17 跟從<05973>示每的有一千<0505>便雅憫<04480><01145>人<0376>，還有掃羅<07586>家<01004>的僕人<05288>洗巴<06717>和<0854>他十五<02568><06240>個兒子<01121>，二十<06242>個僕人<05650>；他們都逿過<06743>(8804)約旦河<03383>迎接<09001><06440>王<04428>。
And there were a thousand<0505> men<0376> of Benjamin<01145> with him, and Ziba<06717> the servant<05288> of the house<01004> of Saul<07586>, and his fifteen<02568><06240> sons<01121> and his twenty<06242> servants<05650> with him; and they went over<06743>(8804) Jordan<03383> before<06440> the king<04428>.
18 有擺渡船<05679>過去<05674>(8804)，渡<09001><05674>(8687){<0853>}王<04428>的家眷<01004>，任<02896>王<09002><05869>使用<09001><06213>(8800)。王要過<09002><05674>(8800)約旦河<09002><03383>的時候，基拉<01617>的兒子<01121>示每<08096>就俯伏<05307>(8804)在王<04428>面前<09001><06440>，
And there went over<05674>(8804) a ferry boat<05679> to carry over<05674>(8687) the king's<04428> household<01004>, and to do<06213>(8800) what he thought<05869> good<02896>. And Shimei<08096> the son<01121> of Gera<01617> fell down<05307>(8804) before<06440> the king<04428>, as he was come over<05674>(8800) Jordan<03383>; {what...: Heb. the good in his eyes}
19 對<0413>王<04428>說<0559>(8799)：「我主<0113>我王<04428>{<0834>}出<03318>(8804)耶路撒冷<04480><03389>的時候<09002><03117>，{<0853>}{<0834>}僕人<05650>行悖逆的事<05753>(8689)，現在求我主<0113>不要<0408>因此加<02803>(8799)罪<05771>與僕人<09001>，不要<0408>記念<02142>(8799)，{<04428>}也不要放<09001><07760>(8800)在<0413>心上<03820>。
And said<0559>(8799) unto the king<04428>, Let not my lord<0113> impute<02803>(8799) iniquity<05771> unto me, neither do thou remember<02142>(8799) that which thy servant<05650> did perversely<05753>(8689) the day<03117> that my lord<0113> the king<04428> went out<03318>(8804) of Jerusalem<03389>, that the king<04428> should take<07760>(8800) it to his heart<03820>.
20 {<03588>}僕人<05650>明知<03045>(8804){<03588>}自己<0589>有罪<02398>(8804)，{<02009>}所以約瑟<03130>全<09001><03605>家<01004>之中，今日<03117>我首先<07223>下<09001><03381>(8800)來<0935>(8804)迎接<09001><07125>(8800)我主<0113>我王<04428>。」
For thy servant<05650> doth know<03045>(8804) that I have sinned<02398>(8804): therefore, behold, I am come<0935>(8804) the first<07223> this day<03117> of all the house<01004> of Joseph<03130> to go down<03381>(8800) to meet<07125>(8800) my lord<0113> the king<04428>.
21 洗魯雅<06870>的兒子<01121>亞比篩<052>{<06030>}{(8799)}說<0559>(8799)：「示每<08096>既<03588>咒罵<07043>(8765){<0853>}耶和華<03068>的受膏者<04899>，{<08478>}{<02063>}不<03808>應當治死<04191>(8714)他嗎？」
But Abishai<052> the son<01121> of Zeruiah<06870> answered<06030>(8799) and said<0559>(8799), Shall not Shimei<08096> be put to death<04191>(8714) for this, because he cursed<07043>(8765) the LORD'S<03068> anointed<04899>?
22 大衛<01732>說<0559>(8799)：「洗魯雅<06870>的兒子<01121>，我<09001>與你們<09001>有何關涉<04100>，{<03588>}使你們<01961>今日<03117>與我<09001>反對<09001><07854>呢？今日<03117>在以色列<09002><03478>中豈可治死<04191>(8714)人<0376>呢？我豈<03588>不<03808>知<03045>(8804){<03588>}今日<03117>我<0589>作<05921>以色列<03478>的王<04428>嗎？」
And David<01732> said<0559>(8799), What have I to do with you, ye sons<01121> of Zeruiah<06870>, that ye should this day<03117> be adversaries<07854> unto me? shall there any man<0376> be put to death<04191>(8714) this day<03117> in Israel<03478>? for do not I know<03045>(8804) that I am this day<03117> king<04428> over Israel<03478>?
23 於是王<04428>對<0413>示每<08096>說<0559>(8799)：「你必不<03808>死<04191>(8799)。」王<04428>就向他<09001>起誓<07650>(8735)。
Therefore the king<04428> said<0559>(8799) unto Shimei<08096>, Thou shalt not die<04191>(8799). And the king<04428> sware<07650>(8735) unto him.
24 掃羅<07586>的孫子<01121>米非波設<04648>也下去<03381>(8804)迎接<09001><07125>(8800)王<04428>。他自從<09001><04480>王<04428>去<03212>(8800)的日子<03117>，直到<05704>{<03117>}{<0834>}王平平安安地<09002><07965>回來<0935>(8804)，沒有<03808>修<06213>(8804)腳<07272>，沒有<03808>剃<06213>(8804)鬍鬚<08222>，也沒有<03808>洗<03526>(8765){<0853>}衣服<0899>。
And Mephibosheth<04648> the son<01121> of Saul<07586> came down<03381>(8804) to meet<07125>(8800) the king<04428>, and had neither<03808> dressed<06213>(8804) his feet<07272>, nor trimmed<06213>(8804) his beard<08222>, nor washed<03526>(8765) his clothes<0899>, from the day<03117> the king<04428> departed<03212>(8800) until the day<03117> he came<0935>(8804) again in peace<07965>.
25 {<01961>}{<03588>}他來到<0935>(8804)耶路撒冷<03389>迎接<09001><07125>(8800)王<04428>的時候，王<04428>問他<09001>說<0559>(8799)：「米非波設<04648>，你為甚麼<09001><04100>沒有<03808>與我<05973>同去<01980>(8804)呢？」
And it came to pass, when he was come<0935>(8804) to Jerusalem<03389> to meet<07125>(8800) the king<04428>, that the king<04428> said<0559>(8799) unto him, Wherefore wentest<01980>(8804) not thou with me, Mephibosheth<04648>?
26 他回答說<0559>(8799)：「我主<0113>我王<04428>，{<03588>}僕人<05650>是瘸腿的<06455>。那日我<05650>想<0559>(8804)要備<02280>(8799){<09001>}驢<02543>騎<07392>(8799)上<05921>，與<0854>王<04428>同去<03212>(8799)，{<03588>}無奈我的僕人<05650>欺哄了我<07411>(8765)，
And he answered<0559>(8799), My lord<0113>, O king<04428>, my servant<05650> deceived<07411>(8765) me: for thy servant<05650> said<0559>(8804), I will saddle<02280>(8799) me an ass<02543>, that I may ride<07392>(8799) thereon, and go<03212>(8799) to the king<04428>; because thy servant<05650> is lame<06455>.
27 又在<0413>我主<0113>我王<04428>面前讒毀<07270>(8762)我<09002><05650>。然而我主<0113>我王<04428>如同　神<0430>的使者<09003><04397>一般，你看<09002><05869>怎樣好<02896>，就怎樣行<06213>(8798)吧！
And he hath slandered<07270>(8762) thy servant<05650> unto my lord<0113> the king<04428>; but my lord<0113> the king<04428> is as an angel<04397> of God<0430>: do<06213>(8798) therefore what is good<02896> in thine eyes<05869>.
28 因為<03588>{<03808>}{<01961>}我祖<01>全<03605>家<01004>的人，在我主<09001><0113>我王<04428>面前都算為<03588><0518>死<04194>人<0582>，王卻使<07896>(8799){<0853>}僕人<05650>在王的席上<07979>同人吃飯<09002><0398>(8802)，我現在向<0413>王<04428>還<04100><05750>能<03426>{<09001>}辨理<09001><02199>(8800){<05750>}訴冤<06666>嗎？」
For all of my father's<01> house<01004> were but<03808> dead<04194> men<0582> before my lord<0113> the king<04428>: yet didst thou set<07896>(8799) thy servant<05650> among them that did eat<0398>(8802) at thine own table<07979>. What right<06666> therefore have<03426> I yet to cry<02199>(8800) any more unto the king<04428>? {dead...: Heb. men of death}
29 王<04428>對他<09001>說<0559>(8799)：「你何必<09001><04100>再<05750>提<01696>(8762)你的事<01697>呢？我說<0559>(8804)，你<0859>與洗巴<06717>均分<02505>(8799){<0853>}地土<07704>。」
And the king<04428> said<0559>(8799) unto him, Why speakest<01696>(8762) thou any more of thy matters<01697>? I have said<0559>(8804), Thou and Ziba<06717> divide<02505>(8799) the land<07704>.
30 米非波設<04648>對<0413>王<04428>說<0559>(8799)：「我主<0113>我王<04428>既<0310><0834>平平安安地<09002><07965>回<0935>(8804){<0413>}宮<01004>，就任憑洗巴都取了<03947>(8799)也<01571>可以{<0853>}{<03605>}。」
And Mephibosheth<04648> said<0559>(8799) unto the king<04428>, Yea, let him take<03947>(8799) all, forasmuch<0310> as<0834> my lord<0113> the king<04428> is come again<0935>(8804) in peace<07965> unto his own house<01004>.
31 基列人<01569>巴西萊<01271>從羅基琳<04480><07274>下來<03381>(8804)，要送王<09001><07971>(8763)過<05674>(8799){<0853>}約旦河<03383>，就與<0854>王<04428>一同過了約旦河<03383>。
And Barzillai<01271> the Gileadite<01569> came down<03381>(8804) from Rogelim<07274>, and went over<05674>(8799) Jordan<03383> with the king<04428>, to conduct<07971>(8763) him over Jordan<03383>.
32 巴西萊<01271>年紀老<03966>邁<02204>(8804)，已經八十<08084>歲<08141><01121>了。王住在<09002><07871>瑪哈念<09002><04266>的時候，他<01931>就拿食物<03557>(8773)來供給<0853>王<04428>；他<01931>原是<03588>大<03966>富<01419>戶<0376>。
Now Barzillai<01271> was a very<03966> aged<02204>(8804) man, even fourscore<08084> years<08141> old<01121>: and he had provided the king<04428> of sustenance<03557>(8773) while he lay<07871> at Mahanaim<04266>; for he was a very<03966> great<01419> man<0376>.
33 王<04428>對<0413>巴西萊<01271>說<0559>(8799)：「你<0859>與我<0854>同去<05674>(8798)，我要在耶路撒冷<09002><03389>那裡養<03557>(8773)你<0853>的老{<05978>}。」
And the king<04428> said<0559>(8799) unto Barzillai<01271>, Come thou over<05674>(8798) with me, and I will feed<03557>(8773) thee with me in Jerusalem<03389>.
34 巴西萊<01271>對<0413>王<04428>說<0559>(8799)：「我在世<08141><02416>的年日<03117>還能有多少<09003><04100>，{<03588>}使我與<0854>王<04428>同上<05927>(8799)耶路撒冷<03389>呢？
And Barzillai<01271> said<0559>(8799) unto the king<04428>, How long<03117> have I to live<08141><02416>, that I should go up<05927>(8799) with the king<04428> unto Jerusalem<03389>? {How...: Heb. How many days are the years of my life}
35 {<0595>}僕人<05650>現在<03117>八十<08084>歲<08141><01121>了，還能<0518>嘗<02938>(8799)出{<0853>}{<0834>}飲<08354>(8799){<0853>}{<0834>}食<0398>(8799)的滋味、辨別<03045>(8799){<0996>}美<02896>惡<09001><07451>嗎？還<05750>能<0518>聽<08085>(8799)男<07891>(8802)女<07891>(8802)歌唱的聲音<09002><06963>嗎？僕人<05650>{<01961>}何必<09001><04100>{<05750>}累贅<09001><04853>{<0413>}我主<0113>我王<04428>呢？
I am this day<03117> fourscore<08084> years<08141> old<01121>: and can I discern<03045>(8799) between good<02896> and evil<07451>? can thy servant<05650> taste<02938>(8799) what<0834> I eat<0398>(8799) or what<0834> I drink<08354>(8799)? can I hear<08085>(8799) any more the voice<06963> of singing men<07891>(8802) and singing women<07891>(8802)? wherefore then should thy servant<05650> be yet a burden<04853> unto my lord<0113> the king<04428>?
36 僕人<05650>只<09003><04592>要送<0854>王<04428>過<05674>(8799){<0853>}約旦河<03383>，王<04428>何必<09001><04100>賜我<01580>(8799)這樣的<02063>恩典<01578>呢？
Thy servant<05650> will go<05674><00> a little way<04592> over<05674>(8799) Jordan<03383> with the king<04428>: and why should the king<04428> recompense<01580>(8799) it me with such a reward<01578>?
37 求<04994>你准我<05650>回去<07725>(8799)，好死<04191>(8799)在我本城<09002><05892>，葬在<05973>我父<01>母<0517>的墓<06913>旁。這裡有<02009>王的僕人<05650>金罕<03643>，讓他同<05973>我主<0113>我王<04428>過去<05674>(8799)，可以隨{<0853>}{<0834>}意<02896><09002><05869>待<06213>(8798)他<09001>。」

But behold thy servant<05650> Chimham<03643>; let him go over<05674>(8799) with my lord<0113> the king<04428>; and do<06213>(8798) to him what shall seem good<02896><05869> unto thee.
38 王<04428>說<0559>(8799)：「金罕<03643>可以與我<0854>同去<05674>(8799)，我<0589>必照<0853>你的心願<02896><09002><05869>待<06213>(8799)他<09001>。你向我<05921>求<0977>(8799)甚麼<03605><0834>，我都必為你<09001>成就<06213>(8799)。」
And the king<04428> answered<0559>(8799), Chimham<03643> shall go<05674>(8799) over with me, and I will do<06213>(8799) to him that which shall seem good<02896><05869> unto thee: and whatsoever thou shalt require<0977>(8799) of me, that will I do<06213>(8799) for thee. {require: Heb. choose}

And all the people<05971> went over<05674>(8799) Jordan<03383>. And when the king<04428> was come over<05674>(8804), the king<04428> kissed<05401>(8799) Barzillai<01271>, and blessed<01288>(8762) him; and he returned<07725>(8799) unto his own place<04725>.

41 {<02009>}以色列<03478>眾<03605>人<0376>來<0935>(8802)見<0413>王<04428>，對<0413>他{<04428>}說<0559>(8799)：「我們弟兄<0251>猶大<03063>人<0376>為甚麼<04069>暗暗<01589>(8804)送<0853>王<04428>和<0853>王的家眷<01004>，並<03605>跟隨<05973>王{<01732>}的人<0582>過<05674>(8686){<0853>}約旦河<03383>？」
And, behold, all the men<0376> of Israel<03478> came<0935>(8802) to the king<04428>, and said<0559>(8799) unto the king<04428>, Why have our brethren<0251> the men<0376> of Judah<03063> stolen thee away<01589>(8804), and have brought<05674>(8686) the king<04428>, and his household<01004>, and all David's<01732> men<0582> with him, over Jordan<03383>?
42 猶大<03063>眾<03605>人<0376>回答<06030>(8799){<05921>}以色列<03478>人<0376>說：「因為<03588>王<04428>與我們<0413>是親屬<07138>，你們為何<09001><04100>因<05921>這<02088>事<01697>發怒<02734>(8804){<09001>}呢？我們吃<0398>(8804)了{<04480>}王<04428>的甚麼{<0398>}{(8800)}呢？王{<0518>}賞賜<05375>(8833)了我們<09001>甚麼{<05379>}呢？」
And all the men<0376> of Judah<03063> answered<06030>(8799) the men<0376> of Israel<03478>, Because the king<04428> is near of kin<07138> to us: wherefore then be ye angry<02734>(8804) for this matter<01697>? have we eaten<0398>(8804) at all<0398>(8800) of the king's<04428> cost ? or hath he given<05375>(8765) us any gift<05379>?
43 以色列<03478>人<0376>回答<06030>(8799){<0853>}猶大<03063>人<0376>說<0559>(8799)：「按支派，我們<09001>與王<09002><04428>有十<06235>分<03027>的情分；在大衛<09002><01732>身上，我們<0589>也<01571>比你們<04480>更有情分。你們為何<04069>藐視我們<07043>(8689)，請<0853>王<04428>回來<09001><07725>(8687)不<03808><01961>先<07223>與我們<09001>商量<01697>呢？」但猶大<03063>人<0376>的話<01697>比以色列<03478>人<01697>的話<04480><01697>更硬<07185>(8799)。
And the men<0376> of Israel<03478> answered<06030>(8799) the men<0376> of Judah<03063>, and said<0559>(8799), We have ten<06235> parts<03027> in the king<04428>, and we<0589> have also more right in David<01732> than ye: why then did ye despise<07043>(8689) us, that our advice<01697> should not be first<07223> had in bringing back<07725>(8687) our king<04428>?
