Moreover Ahithophel<0302> said<0559>(8799) unto Absalom<053>, Let me now choose out<0977>(8799) twelve<08147><06240> thousand<0505> men<0376>, and I will arise<06965>(8799) and pursue<07291>(8799) after<0310> David<01732> this night<03915>:
17:2 趁他<01931>疲乏<03023>手<03027>軟<07504>，我忽然追<0935>(8799)上他<05921>，使他<0853>驚惶<02729>(8689)；跟隨他<0854>的<0834>民<05971>必都<03605>逃跑<05127>(8804)，我就單<09001><0905>殺<05221>(8689){<0853>}王<04428>一人，
And I will come<0935>(8799) upon him while he is weary<03023> and weak<07504> handed<03027>, and will make him afraid<02729>(8689): and all the people<05971> that are with him shall flee<05127>(8804); and I will smite<05221>(8689) the king<04428> only:
17:3 使眾<03605>民<05971>都歸<07725>(8686)順你<0413>。你<0859>所<0834>尋找<01245>(8764)的人<0376>既然死了，眾<03605>民<05971>就如已經{<03605>}歸順<09003><07725>(8800)你；這樣，也都<01961>平安<07965>無事了。」
And I will bring back<07725>(8686) all the people<05971> unto thee: the man<0376> whom thou seekest<01245>(8764) is as if all returned<07725>(8800): so all the people<05971> shall be in peace<07965>.
17:4 押沙龍<053>{<09002>}{<05869>}和{<09002>}{<05869>}以色列<03478>的長老<02205>都<03605>以這話<01697>為美<03474>(8799)。

Then said<0559>(8799) Absalom<053>, Call<07121>(8798) now Hushai<02365> the Archite<0757> also, and let us hear<08085>(8799) likewise what he saith<06310>. {what...: Heb. what is in his mouth}
17:6 戶篩<02365>到了<0935>(8799){<0413>}押沙龍<053>面前，押沙龍<053>{<0559>}{(8799)}向他<0413>說<09001><0559>(8800)：「亞希多弗<0302>是如此如此<02088><09003><01697>說<01696>(8765)的，我們照著<0853>他的話<01697>行<06213>(8799)可以不可以？若<0518>不可<0369>，你<0859>就說吧<01696>(8761)！」
And when Hushai<02365> was come<0935>(8799) to Absalom<053>, Absalom<053> spake<0559>(8799) unto him, saying<0559>(8800), Ahithophel<0302> hath spoken<01696>(8765) after this manner<01697>: shall we do<06213>(8799) after his saying<01697>? if not; speak<01696>(8761) thou. {his saying: Heb. his word}
17:7 戶篩<02365>對<0413>押沙龍<053>說<0559>(8799)：「亞希多弗<0302>這<02063>次<09002><06471>所<0834>定<03289>(8804)的謀<06098>不<03808>善<02896>。」
And Hushai<02365> said<0559>(8799) unto Absalom<053>, The counsel<06098> that Ahithophel<0302> hath given<03289>(8804) is not good<02896> at this time<06471>. {given: Heb. counselled}
17:8 戶篩<02365>又說<0559>(8799)：「你<0859>知道<03045>(8804){<03588>}，<0853>你父親<01>和<0853>跟隨他的人<0582>都是<01992>勇士<01368>，現在他們<01992>心裡<05315>惱怒<04751>，如同田野<09002><07704>丟崽子<07909>的母熊<09003><01677>一般，而且你父親<01>是個戰<04421>士<0376>，必不<03808>和<0854>民<05971>一同住宿<03885>(8799)。
For, said<0559>(8799) Hushai<02365>, thou knowest<03045>(8804) thy father<01> and his men<0582>, that they be mighty men<01368>, and they be chafed<04751> in their minds<05315>, as a bear<01677> robbed<07909> of her whelps in the field<07704>: and thy father<01> is a man<0376> of war<04421>, and will not lodge<03885>(8799) with the people<05971>. {chafed...: Heb. bitter of soul}

Behold, he is hid<02244>(8737) now in some<0259> pit<06354>, or in some<0259> other place<04725>: and it will come to pass, when some of them be overthrown<05307>(8800) at the first<08462>, that whosoever<08085>(8802) heareth<08085>(8804) it will say<0559>(8804), There is a slaughter<04046> among the people<05971> that follow<0310> Absalom<053>. {overthrown: Heb. fallen}
17:10 雖有人<01931>膽大<01121><02428>如<09003><03820>獅子<0738>，他<0834>的心<03820>也<01571>必<04549>(8736)消化<04549>(8735)；因為<03588>以色列人<03478>都<03605>知道<03045>(8802){<03588>}你父親<01>是英雄<01368>，跟隨他<0854>的人<0834>也都是勇<02428>士<01121>。
And he also that is valiant<01121><02428>, whose heart<03820> is as the heart<03820> of a lion<0738>, shall utterly<04549>(8736) melt<04549>(8735): for all Israel<03478> knoweth<03045>(8802) that thy father<01> is a mighty man<01368>, and they which be with him are valiant<02428> men<01121>.
17:11 {<03588>}依我之計<03289>(8804)，不如將以色列<03478>眾人<03605>─從但<04480><01835>直到<05704>別是巴<0884>，如同<0834>海<03220>邊<05921>的沙<09003><02344>那樣多<09001><07230>─聚<0622>(8736)集<0622>(8735)到你這裡<05921>來，你也親自<06440>率領他們出<01980>(8802)戰<09002><07128>。

17:13 他若<0518>進<0622>(8735)了{<0413>}哪一座城<05892>，以色列<03478>眾人<03605>必帶<05375>(8689)繩子<02256>去<0413>，將<0853>那<01931>城<05892>拉<05498>(8804)到<05704>河裡<05158>，甚至<05704>{<0834>}連<01571>一塊小石頭<06872>都不<03808>剩下<04672>(8738){<08033>}。」
Moreover, if<0518> he be gotten<0622>(8735) into a city<05892>, then shall all Israel<03478> bring<05375>(8689) ropes<02256> to that city<05892>, and we will draw<05498>(8804) it into the river<05158>, until there be not one<01571> small stone<06872> found<04672>(8738) there.
17:14 押沙龍<053>和以色列<03478>眾<03605>人<0376>說<0559>(8799)：「亞基人<0757>戶篩<02365>的計謀<06098>比亞希多弗<0302>的計謀<04480><06098>更好<02896>！」這是因耶和華<03068>定意<06680>(8765)破壞<09001><06565>(8687){<0853>}亞希多弗<0302>的良<02896>謀<06098>，{<03068>}為要<09001><09002><05668>降<0935>(8687){<0853>}禍<07451>與<0413>押沙龍<053>。
And Absalom<053> and all the men<0376> of Israel<03478> said<0559>(8799), The counsel<06098> of Hushai<02365> the Archite<0757> is better<02896> than the counsel<06098> of Ahithophel<0302>. For the LORD<03068> had appointed<06680>(8765) to defeat<06565>(8687) the good<02896> counsel<06098> of Ahithophel<0302>, to the intent<05668> that the LORD<03068> might bring<0935>(8687) evil<07451> upon Absalom<053>. {appointed: Heb. commanded}
17:15 戶篩<02365>對<0413>祭司<03548>撒督<06659>和<0413>亞比亞他<054>說<0559>(8799)：「亞希多弗<0302>為<0853>押沙龍<053>和<0853>以色列<03478>的長老<02205>所定的計謀<03289>(8804)是如此<09003><02063>如此<09003><02063>，我<0589>所定的計謀<03289>(8804)是如此<09003><02063>如此<09003><02063>。
Then said<0559>(8799) Hushai<02365> unto Zadok<06659> and to Abiathar<054> the priests<03548>, Thus and thus did Ahithophel<0302> counsel<03289>(8804) Absalom<053> and the elders<02205> of Israel<03478>; and thus and thus have I counselled<03289>(8804).
17:16 現在<06258>你們要急速<04120>打發<07971>(8798)人去，告訴大<05046>(8685)衛<09001><01732>說<09001><0559>(8800)：『今夜<03915>不可<0408>住<03885>(8799)在曠野<04057>的渡口<09002><06160>(8675)，{<01571>}務要<05674>(8800)過<05674>(8799)河，免得<06435>王<09001><04428>和<09001><03605>跟隨他<0854>的<0834>人<05971>都被吞滅<01104>(8792)。』」
Now therefore send<07971>(8798) quickly<04120>, and tell<05046>(8685) David<01732>, saying<0559>(8800), Lodge<03885>(8799) not this night<03915> in the plains<06160>(8675)<05679> of the wilderness<04057>, but speedily<05674>(8800) pass over<05674>(8799); lest the king<04428> be swallowed up<01104>(8792), and all the people<05971> that are with him.

Now Jonathan<03083> and Ahimaaz<0290> stayed<05975>(8802) by Enrogel<05883>; for they might<03201>(8799) not be seen<07200>(8736) to come<0935>(8800) into the city<05892>: and a wench<08198> went<01980>(8804) and told<05046>(8689) them; and they went<03212>(8799) and told<05046>(8689) king<04428> David<01732>.

Nevertheless a lad<05288> saw<07200>(8799) them, and told<05046>(8686) Absalom<053>: but they went<03212>(8799) both<08147> of them away quickly<04120>, and came<0935>(8799) to a man's<0376> house<01004> in Bahurim<0980>, which had a well<0875> in his court<02691>; whither<08033> they went down<03381>(8799).
17:19 那家的婦人<0802>用<03947>(8799){<0853>}蓋<04539>蓋<06566>(8799)上<05921>井<0875>口<06440>，又在上頭<05921>鋪<07849>(8799)上碎麥<07383>，事<01697>就沒有<03808>洩漏<03045>(8738)。
And the woman<0802> took<03947>(8799) and spread<06566>(8799) a covering<04539> over the well's<0875> mouth<06440>, and spread<07849>(8799) ground corn<07383> thereon; and the thing<01697> was not known<03045>(8738).
17:20 押沙龍<053>的僕人<05650>來<0935>(8799)到<0413>那家<01004>，問婦人<0802>說<0559>(8799)：「亞希瑪斯<0290>和約拿單<03083>在哪裡<0346>？」婦人<0802>說<0559>(8799){<09001>}：「他們過了<05674>(8804)河<04323><04325>了。」僕人找他們<01245>(8762)，找<04672>(8804)不著<03808>，就回<07725>(8799)耶路撒冷<03389>去了。
And when Absalom's<053> servants<05650> came<0935>(8799) to the woman<0802> to the house<01004>, they said<0559>(8799), Where is Ahimaaz<0290> and Jonathan<03083>? And the woman<0802> said<0559>(8799) unto them, They be gone over<05674>(8804) the brook<04323> of water<04325>. And when they had sought<01245>(8762) and could not find<04672>(8804) them , they returned<07725>(8799) to Jerusalem<03389>.

And it came to pass, after<0310> they were departed<03212>(8800), that they came up<05927>(8799) out of the well<0875>, and went<03212>(8799) and told<05046>(8686) king<04428> David<01732>, and said<0559>(8799) unto David<01732>, Arise<06965>(8798), and pass quickly<04120> over<05674>(8798) the water<04325>: for thus hath Ahithophel<0302> counselled<03289>(8804) against you.
17:22 於是大衛<01732>和跟隨他<0854>的<0834>人<05971>都<03605>起來<06965>(8799)，過<05674>(8799){<0853>}約旦河<03383>。到了<05704>天亮<01242><0216>，{<05704>}無<05737>(8738)一人<0259>{<0834>}不<03808>過<05674>(8804){<0853>}約旦河<03383>的。
Then David<01732> arose<06965>(8799), and all the people<05971> that were with him, and they passed over<05674>(8799) Jordan<03383>: by the morning<01242> light<0216> there lacked<05737>(8738) not one<0259> of them that was not gone over<05674>(8804) Jordan<03383>.
17:23 亞希多弗<0302>見<07200>(8804){<03588>}不<03808>依從<06213>(8738)他的計謀<06098>，就備<02280>(8799)上<06965>(8799){<0853>}驢<02543>，歸<03212>(8799)回<0413>本城<05892>；到了<0413>家<01004>，留下遺言<06680>(8762){<0413>}{<01004>}，便吊<02614>(8735)死了<04191>(8799)，葬<06912>(8735)在他父親<01>的墳墓<09002><06913>裡。

17:24 大衛<01732>到了<0935>(8804)瑪哈念<04266>，押沙龍<053>{<01931>}和跟隨他<05973>的以色列<03478>人<0376>也都<03605>過了<05674>(8804){<0853>}約旦河<03383>。
Then David<01732> came<0935>(8804) to Mahanaim<04266>. And Absalom<053> passed over<05674>(8804) Jordan<03383>, he and all the men<0376> of Israel<03478> with him.
17:25 押沙龍<053>立<07760>(8804){<0853>}亞瑪撒<06021>作<05921>元帥<06635>，代替<08478>約押<03097>。亞瑪撒<06021>是以實瑪利人（又作以色列人<03481>）{<0376>}{<08034>}以特拉<03501>的兒子<01121>。以特拉<0834>曾與<0413>拿轄<05176>的女兒<01323>亞比該<026>親近<0935>(8804)；這亞比該與約押<03097>的母親<0517>洗魯雅<06870>是姊妹<0269>。

17:26 押沙龍<053>和以色列<03478>人都安營<02583>(8799)在基列<01568>地<0776>。
So Israel<03478> and Absalom<053> pitched<02583>(8799) in the land<0776> of Gilead<01568>.

17:28 帶著被<04904>、褥、盆<05592>、碗、瓦<03335>(8802)器<03627>、小麥<02406>、大麥<08184>、麥麵<07058>、炒穀<07039>、豆子<06321>、紅豆<05742>、炒豆<07039>、
Brought<05066>(8689) beds<04904>, and basons<05592>, and earthen<03335>(8802) vessels<03627>, and wheat<02406>, and barley<08184>, and flour<07058>, and parched<07039> corn , and beans<06321>, and lentiles<05742>, and parched<07039> pulse , {basons: or, cups}
