14 洗魯雅<06870>的兒子<01121>約押<03097>，知道<03045>(8799){<03588>}王<04428>心裡<03820>想念<05921>押沙龍<053>，
Now Joab<03097> the son<01121> of Zeruiah<06870> perceived<03045>(8799) that the king's<04428> heart<03820> was toward Absalom<053>.
2 {<03097>}就打發<07971>(8799)人往提哥亞<08620>去，從那裡<04480><08033>叫了<03947>(8799)一個聰明的<02450>婦人<0802>來，對她<0413>說<0559>(8799)：「請<04994>你假裝居喪的<056>(8693)，{<04994>}穿上<03847>(8798)孝衣<060><0899>，不要<0408>用膏<08081>抹身<05480>(8799)，要裝作<01961>為<05921>死者<04191>(8801)許久<07227><03117>悲哀<056>(8690)的<02088>婦人<09003><0802>；
And Joab<03097> sent<07971>(8799) to Tekoah<08620>, and fetched<03947>(8799) thence a wise<02450> woman<0802>, and said<0559>(8799) unto her, I pray thee, feign thyself to be a mourner<056>(8693), and put on<03847>(8798) now mourning<060> apparel<0899>, and anoint<05480>(8799) not thyself with oil<08081>, but be as a woman<0802> that had a long<07227> time<03117> mourned<056>(8690) for the dead<04191>(8801):
3 進去<0935>(8804)見<0413>王<04428>，對王<0413>如此如此<02088><09003><01697>說<01696>(8765)。」於是約押<03097>將<0853>當說的話<01697>教導了<07760>(8799)婦人<09002><06310>。
And come<0935>(8804) to the king<04428>, and speak<01696>(8765) on this manner<01697> unto him. So Joab<03097> put<07760>(8799) the words<01697> in her mouth<06310>.
4 提哥亞<08621>婦人<0802>到<0413>王<04428>面前{<0559>}{(8799)}，伏<05307>(8799){<05921>}{<0639>}地<0776>叩拜<07812>(8691)，說<0559>(8799)：「王<04428>啊，求你拯救<03467>(8685)！」
And when the woman<0802> of Tekoah<08621> spake<0559>(8799) to the king<04428>, she fell<05307>(8799) on her face<0639> to the ground<0776>, and did obeisance<07812>(8691), and said<0559>(8799), Help<03467>(8685), O king<04428>. {Help: Heb. Save}
5 王<04428>問她<09001>說<0559>(8799)：「你<09001>有甚麼<04100>事呢？」回答說<0559>(8799)：「婢女<0589>實在<061>是寡<0490>婦<0802>，我丈夫<0376>死了<04191>(8799)。
And the king<04428> said<0559>(8799) unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered<0559>(8799), I am indeed<061> a widow<0490> woman<0802>, and mine husband<0376> is dead<04191>(8799).
6 我有<09001><08198>兩個<08147>兒子<01121>，{<08147>}一日在田間<09002><07704>爭鬥<05327>(8735)，沒有人<0369>解勸<05337>(8688){<0996>}，這個<0259>就打<05221>(8686){<0853>}死<04191>(8686){<0853>}那個<0259>。
And thy handmaid<08198> had two<08147> sons<01121>, and they two<08147> strove together<05327>(8735) in the field<07704>, and there was none to part<05337>(8688) them, but the one<0259> smote<05221>(8686) the other<0259>, and slew<04191>(8686) him. {none...: Heb. no deliverer between them}
7 {<02009>}現在全<03605>家<04940>的人都起來<06965>(8804)攻擊<05921>婢女<08198>，說<0559>(8799)：『你將<0853>那<0834>打死<05221>(8688)兄弟<0251>的交出來<05414>(8798)，我們好治死他<04191>(8686)，償他打死<02026>(8804)兄弟<0251>的命<09002><05315>，{<01571>}滅絕<08045>(8686){<0853>}那承受家業<03423>(8802)的。』這樣，他們要將<0853>我剩下<07760>(8800)的<0834>炭火<01513>滅盡<03518>(8765)，不<09001><01115>與我丈夫<09001><0376>留<07604>(8738)名<08034>留後<07611>在<05921>世<0127>上<06440>。」
And, behold, the whole family<04940> is risen<06965>(8804) against thine handmaid<08198>, and they said<0559>(8799), Deliver<05414>(8798) him that smote<05221>(8688) his brother<0251>, that we may kill<04191>(8686) him, for the life<05315> of his brother<0251> whom he slew<02026>(8804); and we will destroy<08045>(8686) the heir<03423>(8802) also: and so they shall quench<03518>(8765) my coal<01513> which is left<07760>(8800), and shall not leave<07604>(8738) to my husband<0376> neither name<08034> nor remainder<07611> upon<06440> the earth<0127>. {upon...: Heb. upon the face of the earth}
8 王<04428>對<0413>婦人<0802>說<0559>(8799)：「你回家<09001><01004>去吧<03212>(8798)！我<0589>必為你<05921>下令<06680>(8762)。」
And the king<04428> said<0559>(8799) unto the woman<0802>, Go<03212>(8798) to thine house<01004>, and I will give charge<06680>(8762) concerning thee.
9 提哥亞<08621>婦人<0802>又對<0413>王<04428>說<0559>(8799)：「我主<0113>我王<04428>，願這罪<05771>歸我<05921>和<05921>我父<01>家<01004>，與王<04428>和王的位<03678>無干<05355>。」
And the woman<0802> of Tekoah<08621> said<0559>(8799) unto the king<04428>, My lord<0113>, O king<04428>, the iniquity<05771> be on me, and on my father's<01> house<01004>: and the king<04428> and his throne<03678> be guiltless<05355>.
10 王<04428>說<0559>(8799)：「凡難為{<01696>}{(8764)}你<0413>的，你就帶他<0935>(8689)到我<0413>這裡來，他必不<03808>再<03254>(8686)<05750>攪擾<09001><05060>(8800)你<09002>。」
And the king<04428> said<0559>(8799), Whosoever saith<01696>(8764) ought unto thee, bring<0935>(8689) him to me, and he shall not touch<05060>(8800) thee any more<03254>(8686).
11 婦人說<0559>(8799)：「願<04994>王<04428>記念<02142>(8799){<0853>}耶和華<03068>─你的　神<0430>，不許{<04480>}{<07235>}{(8687)}報<01350>(8802)血<01818>仇的人施行滅絕<09001><07843>(8763)，恐怕<03808>他們滅絕<08045>(8686){<0853>}我的兒子<01121>。」王說<0559>(8799)：「我指著永生的<02416>耶和華<03068>起誓：你的兒子<01121>連<0518>一根頭髮<04480><08185>也不致落在<05307>(8799)地上<0776>。」
Then said<0559>(8799) she, I pray thee, let the king<04428> remember<02142>(8799) the LORD<03068> thy God<0430>, that thou wouldest not suffer the revengers<01350>(8802) of blood<01818> to destroy<07843>(8763) any more<07235>(8687), lest they destroy<08045>(8686) my son<01121>. And he said<0559>(8799), As the LORD<03068> liveth<02416>, there shall not one hair<08185> of thy son<01121> fall<05307>(8799) to the earth<0776>. {that...: Heb. that the revenger of blood do not multiply to destroy}
12 婦人<0802>說<0559>(8799)：「求<04994>{<0413>}我主<0113>我王<04428>容婢女<08198>再說<01696>(8762)一句話<01697>。」王說<0559>(8799)：「你說吧<01696>(8761)！」
Then the woman<0802> said<0559>(8799), Let thine handmaid<08198>, I pray thee, speak<01696>(8762) one word<01697> unto my lord<0113> the king<04428>. And he said<0559>(8799), Say on<01696>(8761).
13 婦人<0802>說<0559>(8799)：「王為何<09001><04100>也{<09003>}{<02063>}起意<02803>(8804)要害<05921>　神<0430>的民<05971>呢？王<04428>不<09001><01115>使<0853>那逃亡的人<05080>(8737)回來<07725>(8687)，王<04428>{<01696>}{(8693)}的這<02088>話<04480><01697>就是自證己錯了<09003><0818>！
And the woman<0802> said<0559>(8799), Wherefore then hast thou thought<02803>(8804) such a thing against the people<05971> of God<0430>? for the king<04428> doth speak<01696>(8693) this thing<01697> as one which is faulty<0818>, in that the king<04428> doth not fetch home again<07725>(8687) his banished<05080>(8737).
14 {<03588>}我們都是必<04191>(8800)死<04191>(8799)的，如同水<09003><04325>潑<05064>(8737)在地上<0776>，{<0834>}不能<03808>收回<0622>(8735)。　神<0430>並不<03808>奪取<05375>(8799)人的性命<05315>，乃設<02803>(8804)法<04284>使<01115>逃亡的人<05080>(8737)不致成為趕出<05080>(8799)、回不來的<04480>。
For we must needs<04191>(8800) die<04191>(8799), and are as water<04325> spilt<05064>(8737) on the ground<0776>, which cannot be gathered up again<0622>(8735); neither doth God<0430> respect<05375>(8799) any person<05315>: yet doth he devise<02803>(8804) means<04284>, that his banished<05080>(8737) be not expelled<05080>(8799) from him. {neither...: or, because God hath not taken away his life, he hath also devised means, etc}
15 {<06258>}{<0834>}我來<0935>(8804)將<0853>這<02088>話<01697>告訴<09001><01696>(8763){<0413>}我主<0113>我王<04428>，是因<03588>百姓<05971>使我懼怕<03372>(8765)。婢女<08198>想<0559>(8799)，不如<04994>將這話告訴<01696>(8762){<0413>}王<04428>，或者<0194>王<04428>成就<06213>(8799){<0853>}婢女<0519>所求的{<01697>}。
Now therefore that I am come<0935>(8804) to speak<01696>(8763) of this thing<01697> unto my lord<0113> the king<04428>, it is because the people<05971> have made me afraid<03372>(8765): and thy handmaid<08198> said<0559>(8799), I will now speak<01696>(8762) unto the king<04428>; it may be that the king<04428> will perform<06213>(8799) the request<01697> of his handmaid<0519>.
16 人要將我<0853>和<0853>我兒子<01121>從　神<0430>的地業<04480><05159>上一同<03162>除滅<09001><08045>(8687)，王<04428>必<03588>應允<08085>(8799)救<09001><05337>(8687){<0853>}我{<0519>}脫離他{<0376>}的手<04480><03709>。
For the king<04428> will hear<08085>(8799), to deliver<05337>(8687) his handmaid<0519> out of the hand<03709> of the man<0376> that would destroy<08045>(8687) me and my son<01121> together<03162> out of the inheritance<05159> of God<0430>.
17 婢女<08198>又想<0559>(8799)，我主<0113>我王<04428>的話<01697>必<01961><04994>安慰<09001><04496>我；因為<03588>我主<0113>我王<04428>能辨別<09001><08085>(8800)是<02896>非<07451>，如同　神<0430>的使者<09003><04397>一樣<03651>。惟願耶和華<03068>─你的　神<0430>與你<05973>同在<01961>！」
Then thine handmaid<08198> said<0559>(8799), The word<01697> of my lord<0113> the king<04428> shall now be comfortable<04496>: for as an angel<04397> of God<0430>, so is my lord<0113> the king<04428> to discern<08085>(8800) good<02896> and bad<07451>: therefore the LORD<03068> thy God<0430> will be with thee. {comfortable: Heb. for rest} {to discern: Heb. to hear}
18 王<04428>{<06030>}{(8799)}對<0413>婦人<0802>說<0559>(8799)：「{<0834>}我<0595>要問<07592>(8802)你<0853>一句話，{<04994>}你一點{<01697>}不要<0408>瞞<03582>(8762)我<04480>。」婦人<0802>說<0559>(8799)：「願<04994>我主<0113>我王<04428>說<01696>(8762)。」
Then the king<04428> answered<06030>(8799) and said<0559>(8799) unto the woman<0802>, Hide<03582>(8762) not from me, I pray thee, the thing<01697> that I shall ask<07592>(8802) thee. And the woman<0802> said<0559>(8799), Let my lord<0113> the king<04428> now speak<01696>(8762).
19 王<04428>說<0559>(8799)：「你<0854>{<09002>}{<03605>}這些<02063>話莫非是約押<03097>的主意{<03027>}嗎？」婦人<0802>{<06030>}{(8799)}說<0559>(8799)：「我敢在我主<0113>我王<04428>面前{<02416>}{<05315>}起誓：{<04480>}{<03605>}{<0113>}王<04428>的<0834>話<01696>(8765)正對，不偏<0518><0786>左<09001><08041>(8687)右<09001><03231>(8687)，{<03588>}是王的僕人<05650>約押<03097>{<01931>}吩咐我<06680>(8765)的，{<0853>}{<03605>}這些<0428>話<01697>是他<01931>教導<07760>(8804){<0853>}我{<08198>}的{<09002>}{<06310>}。
And the king<04428> said<0559>(8799), Is not the hand<03027> of Joab<03097> with thee in all this? And the woman<0802> answered<06030>(8799) and said<0559>(8799), As thy soul<05315> liveth<02416>, my lord<0113> the king<04428>, none<0376> can<0786> turn to the right hand<03231>(8687) or to the left<08041>(8687) from ought that my lord<0113> the king<04428> hath spoken<01696>(8765): for thy servant<05650> Joab<03097>, he bade<06680>(8765) me, and he put<07760>(8804) all these words<01697> in the mouth<06310> of thine handmaid<08198>:
20 王的僕人<05650>約押<03097>如此<02088><01697>行<06213>(8804){<0853>}，為要<09001><09002><09002><05668>挽回<05437>(8763){<0853>}這事<06440><01697>。我主<0113>的智慧<02450>卻如　神<0430>使者<04397>的智慧<09003><02451>，能知<09001><03045>(8800){<0853>}世上<09002><0776>一切<03605>{<0834>}事。」
To<05668> fetch about<05437>(8763) this form<06440> of speech<01697> hath thy servant<05650> Joab<03097> done<06213>(8804) this thing<01697>: and my lord<0113> is wise<02450>, according to the wisdom<02451> of an angel<04397> of God<0430>, to know<03045>(8800) all things that are in the earth<0776>.
21 王<04428>對<0413>約押<03097>說<0559>(8799)：「{<02009>}{<04994>}我應允<06213>(8804)你{<0853>}這<02088>事<01697>。你可以去<03212>(8798)，把<0853>那少年人<05288>{<0853>}押沙龍<053>帶回來<07725>(8685)。」
And the king<04428> said<0559>(8799) unto Joab<03097>, Behold now, I have done<06213>(8804) this thing<01697>: go<03212>(8798) therefore, bring<07725><00> the young man<05288> Absalom<053> again<07725>(8685).
22 約押<03097>就{<0413>}面<06440>伏於<05307>(8799)地<0776>叩拜<07812>(8691)，祝謝<01288>(8762)於<0853>王<04428>，{<03097>}又說<0559>(8799)：「王<04428>既<0834>應允<06213>(8804){<0853>}僕人<05650>所求的{<01697>}，僕人<05650>今日<03117>知道<03045>(8804){<03588>}在我主<0113>我王<04428>眼前<09002><05869>蒙<04672>(8804)恩<02580>了。」
And Joab<03097> fell<05307>(8799) to the ground<0776> on his face<06440>, and bowed<07812>(8691) himself, and thanked<01288>(8762) the king<04428>: and Joab<03097> said<0559>(8799), To day<03117> thy servant<05650> knoweth<03045>(8804) that I have found<04672>(8804) grace<02580> in thy sight<05869>, my lord<0113>, O king<04428>, in that the king<04428> hath fulfilled<06213>(8804) the request<01697> of his servant<05650>. {thanked: Heb. blessed} {his servant: or, thy servant}
23 於是約押<03097>起身<06965>(8799)往基述<01650>去<03212>(8799)，將<0853>押沙龍<053>帶回<0935>(8686)耶路撒冷<03389>。
So Joab<03097> arose<06965>(8799) and went<03212>(8799) to Geshur<01650>, and brought<0935>(8686) Absalom<053> to Jerusalem<03389>.
24 王<04428>說<0559>(8799)：「使他回<0413>自己家裡<01004>去<05437>(8735)，不要<03808>見<07200>(8799)我的面<06440>。」押沙龍<053>就回<0413>自己家裡<01004>去<05437>(8735)，沒有<03808>見<07200>(8799)王<04428>的面<06440>。
And the king<04428> said<0559>(8799), Let him turn<05437>(8735) to his own house<01004>, and let him not see<07200>(8799) my face<06440>. So Absalom<053> returned<05437>(8735) to his own house<01004>, and saw<07200>(8804) not the king's<04428> face<06440>.
25 以色列<03478>全<09002><03605>地之中，無<03808><01961>人<0376>像押沙龍<09003><053>那樣俊美<03303>，得人的稱讚<09001><01984>(8763){<03966>}，從腳<07272>底<04480><03709>到<05704>頭頂<06936>毫無<03808><01961>瑕疵<03971>{<09002>}。
But in all Israel<03478> there was none<0376> to be so much<03966> praised<01984>(8763) as Absalom<053> for his beauty<03303>: from the sole<03709> of his foot<07272> even to the crown of his head<06936> there was no blemish<03971> in him. {But...: Heb. And as Absalom there was not a beautiful man in all Israel to praise greatly}
26 {<03588>}他的頭髮<05921>甚重<03513>(8804)，每<09001><03117>到<01961>年<03117>底<04480><07093>剪<09002><01548>(8763){<0853>}髮<07218>一次；所<0834>剪<01548>(8765)下來的，按王<04428>的平<09002><068>稱<08254>(8804){<0853>}一稱{<08181>}{<07218>}，重二百<03967>舍客勒<08255>。
And when he polled<01548>(8763) his head<07218>, (for it was at every year's<03117><03117> end<07093> that he polled<01548>(8762) it : because the hair was heavy<03513>(8804) on him, therefore he polled<01548>(8765) it:) he weighed<08254>(8804) the hair<08181> of his head<07218> at two hundred<03967> shekels<08255> after the king's<04428> weight<068>.
27 押沙龍<09001><053>生了<03205>(8735)三個<07969>兒子<01121>，一個<0259>女兒<01323>。女兒名叫<08034>他瑪<08559>，{<01931>}是<01961>個容貌<04758>俊美的<03303>女子<0802>。
And unto Absalom<053> there were born<03205>(8735) three<07969> sons<01121>, and one<0259> daughter<01323>, whose name<08034> was Tamar<08559>: she was a woman<0802> of a fair<03303> countenance<04758>.
28 押沙龍<053>住<03427>(8799)在耶路撒冷<09002><03389>足有二年<08141><03117>，沒有<03808>見<07200>(8804)王<04428>的面<06440>。
So Absalom<053> dwelt<03427>(8799) two full<03117> years<08141> in Jerusalem<03389>, and saw<07200>(8804) not the king's<04428> face<06440>.
29 押沙龍<053>打發<07971>(8799)人去<0413>叫約押<03097>來，要託<09001><07971>(8800)他<0853>去見<0413>王<04428>，約押卻不<03808>肯<014>(8804)來<09001><0935>(8800){<0413>}。第二<08145>次{<05704>}打發<07971>(8799)人去叫他，他仍不<03808>肯<014>(8804)來<09001><0935>(8800)。
Therefore Absalom<053> sent<07971>(8799) for Joab<03097>, to have sent<07971>(8800) him to the king<04428>; but he would<014>(8804) not come<0935>(8800) to him: and when he sent again<07971>(8799) the second time<08145>, he would<014>(8804) not come<0935>(8800).
30 所以押沙龍對<0413>僕人<05650>說<0559>(8799)：「你們看<07200>(8798)，約押<03097>有一塊田<02513>，與<0413>我的田{<03027>}相近，其<09001>中<08033>有大麥<08184>，你們去<03212>(8798)放火<09002><0784>燒了<03341>(8685)。」押沙龍<053>的僕人<05650>就去放火<09002><0784>燒了<03341>(8686){<0853>}那田<02513>。
Therefore he said<0559>(8799) unto his servants<05650>, See<07200>(8798), Joab's<03097> field<02513> is near<0413> mine<03027>, and he hath barley<08184> there; go<03212>(8798) and set<03341>(8685) it on fire<0784>. And Absalom's<053> servants<05650> set<03341>(8686) the field<02513> on fire<0784>. {near...: Heb. near my place}
31 於是約押<03097>起來<06965>(8799)，到<0935>(8799)了{<0413>}押沙龍<053>家裡<01004>，問他<0413>說<0559>(8799)：「你的僕人<05650>為何<09001><04100>放火<09002><0784>燒了<03341>(8689){<0853>}我<09001>的<0834>田<02513>呢？」
Then Joab<03097> arose<06965>(8799), and came<0935>(8799) to Absalom<053> unto his house<01004>, and said<0559>(8799) unto him, Wherefore have thy servants<05650> set<03341>(8689) my field<02513> on fire<0784>?
32 押沙龍<053>回答{<0413>}約押<03097>說<0559>(8799)：「{<02009>}我打發<07971>(8804)人去{<09001>}{<0559>}{(8800)}請你<0413>來<0935>(8798)，{<02008>}好託<07971>(8799)你<0853>去見<0413>王<04428>，替我說<09001><0559>(8800)：『我為何<09001><04100>從基述<04480><01650>回來<0935>(8804)呢？{<0589>}不如{<02896>}{<09001>}仍<05750>在那裡<08033>。』現在<06258>要許我見<07200>(8799)王<04428>的面<06440>；我<09002>若<0518>有<03426>罪<05771>，任憑王殺我<04191>(8689)就是了。」
And Absalom<053> answered<0559>(8799) Joab<03097>, Behold, I sent<07971>(8804) unto thee, saying<0559>(8800), Come<0935>(8798) hither, that I may send<07971>(8799) thee to the king<04428>, to say<0559>(8800), Wherefore am I come<0935>(8804) from Geshur<01650>? it had been good<02896> for me to have been there still: now therefore let me see<07200>(8799) the king's<04428> face<06440>; and if there be<03426> any iniquity<05771> in me, let him kill<04191>(8689) me.
33 於是約押<03097>去<0935>(8799)見<0413>王<04428>，將這話奏告<05046>(8686)王<09001>，王便叫<07121>(8799){<0413>}押沙龍<053>來。押沙龍來<0935>(8799)見{<0413>}王<04428>，在王<04428>面前<09001><06440>俯伏<07812>(8691){<09001>}於<05921><0639>地<0776>，王就<04428>與押沙龍<09001><053>親嘴<05401>(8799)。
So Joab<03097> came<0935>(8799) to the king<04428>, and told<05046>(8686) him: and when he had called<07121>(8799) for Absalom<053>, he came<0935>(8799) to the king<04428>, and bowed<07812>(8691) himself on his face<0639> to the ground<0776> before<06440> the king<04428>: and the king<04428> kissed<05401>(8799) Absalom<053>.
