Now it came to pass after<0310> the death<04194> of Saul<07586>, when David<01732> was returned<07725>(8804) from the slaughter<05221>(8687) of the Amalekites<06002>, and David<01732> had abode<03427>(8799) two<08147> days<03117> in Ziklag<06860>;

It came even to pass on the third<07992> day<03117>, that, behold, a man<0376> came<0935>(8802) out of the camp<04264> from Saul<07586> with his clothes<0899> rent<07167>(8803), and earth<0127> upon his head<07218>: and so it was, when he came<0935>(8800) to David<01732>, that he fell<05307>(8799) to the earth<0776>, and did obeisance<07812>(8691).

And David<01732> said<0559>(8799) unto him, How<04100> went the matter<01697>? I pray thee, tell<05046>(8685) me. And he answered<0559>(8799), That the people<05971> are fled<05127>(8804) from the battle<04421>, and many<07235>(8687) of the people<05971> also are fallen<05307>(8804) and dead<04191>(8799); and Saul<07586> and Jonathan<03083> his son<01121> are dead<04191>(8804) also. {How...: Heb. 1:5 大衛<01732>問<0413>報信<05046>(8688)的{<09001>}少年人<05288>說<0559>(8799)：「你怎麼<0349>知道<03045>(8804){<03588>}掃羅<07586>和他兒子<01121>約拿單<03083>死了<04191>(8804)呢？」
And David<01732> said<0559>(8799) unto the young man<05288> that told<05046>(8688) him, How knowest<03045>(8804) thou that Saul<07586> and Jonathan<03083> his son<01121> be dead<04191>(8804)?
1:6 報信<05046>(8688)的{<09001>}少年人<05288>說<0559>(8799)：「我偶然<07122>(8736)到<07136>(8738)基利波<01533>山<09002><02022>，看見<02009>掃羅<07586>伏<08172>(8737)在<05921>自己槍<02595>上，{<02009>}有戰車<07393>、馬<06571>兵<01167>緊緊地追他<01692>(8689)。
And the young man<05288> that told<05046>(8688) him said<0559>(8799), As I happened<07136>(8738) by chance<07122>(8736) upon mount<02022> Gilboa<01533>, behold, Saul<07586> leaned<08172>(8737) upon his spear<02595>; and, lo, the chariots<07393> and horsemen<01167><06571> followed hard<01692>(8689) after him.
1:7 他回頭<06437>(8799){<0310>}看見我<07200>(8799)，就呼叫<07121>(8799)我<0413>。我說<0559>(8799)：『我在這裡<02009>。』
And when he looked<06437>(8799) behind<0310> him, he saw<07200>(8799) me, and called<07121>(8799) unto me. And I answered<0559>(8799), Here am I. {Here...: Heb. Behold me}
1:8 他問我<09001>說<0559>(8799)：『你<0859>是甚麼人<04310>？』我說<0559>(8799){<0413>}：『我是<0595>亞瑪力人<06003>。』
And he said<0559>(8799) unto me, Who art thou? And I answered<0559>(8799) him, I am an Amalekite<06003>.
1:9 他說<0559>(8799){<0413>}：『請你<04994>來<05975>(8798){<05921>}，將我殺死<04191>(8786)；因為<03588>痛苦<07661>抓住我<0270>(8804)，{<03588>}{<03605>}我的生命<05315>尚<05750>存<09002>。』
He said<0559>(8799) unto me again, Stand<05975>(8798), I pray thee, upon me, and slay<04191>(8786) me: for anguish<07661> is come<0270>(8804) upon me, because my life<05315> is yet whole in me. {anguish...: or, my coat of mail (or, my embroidered coat) hindereth me, that my, etc}
1:10 我準<03588>知<03045>(8804){<03588>}他{<0310>}仆倒<05307>(8800)必不能<03808>活<02421>(8799)，就去<05975>(8799){<05921>}將他殺死<04191>(8787)，把他頭<07218>上<05921>的<0834>冠冕<05145>、臂<02220>上<05921>的<0834>鐲子<0685>拿<03947>(8799)到<0935>(8686){<0413>}我主<0113>這裡<02008>。」
So I stood<05975>(8799) upon him, and slew<04191>(8787) him, because I was sure<03045>(8804) that he could not live<02421>(8799) after<0310> that he was fallen<05307>(8800): and I took<03947>(8799) the crown<05145> that was upon his head<07218>, and the bracelet<0685> that was on his arm<02220>, and have brought<0935>(8686) them hither unto my lord<0113>.
1:11 大衛<01732>就{<02388>}{(8686)}撕裂<07167>(8799)衣服<09002><0899>，{<03605>}{<0834>}跟隨他<0854>的人<0582>也<01571>是如此，
Then David<01732> took hold<02388>(8686) on his clothes<0899>, and rent<07167>(8799) them; and likewise all the men<0582> that were with him:

And they mourned<05594>(8799), and wept<01058>(8799), and fasted<06684>(8799) until even<06153>, for Saul<07586>, and for Jonathan<03083> his son<01121>, and for the people<05971> of the LORD<03068>, and for the house<01004> of Israel<03478>; because they were fallen<05307>(8804) by the sword<02719>.
1:13 大衛<01732>問<0413>報信<05046>(8688)的{<09001>}少年人<05288>說<0559>(8799)：「你<0859>是<04480><02088>哪裡<0335>的人？」他說<0559>(8799)：「我是<0595>亞瑪力<06003>客<01616>人<0376>的兒子<01121>。」
And David<01732> said<0559>(8799) unto the young man<05288> that told<05046>(8688) him, Whence art thou? And he answered<0559>(8799), I am the son<01121> of a stranger<0376><01616>, an Amalekite<06003>.
1:14 大衛<01732>說<0559>(8799){<0413>}：「你伸<09001><07971>(8800)手<03027>殺害<09001><07843>(8763){<0853>}耶和華<03068>的受膏者<04899>，怎麼<0349>不<03808>畏懼<03372>(8804)呢？」
And David<01732> said<0559>(8799) unto him, How wast thou not afraid<03372>(8804) to stretch forth<07971>(8800) thine hand<03027> to destroy<07843>(8763) the LORD'S<03068> anointed<04899>?
1:15 大衛<01732>叫了<07121>(8799)一個<09001><0259>少年人<04480><05288>來，說<0559>(8799)：「你去<05066>(8798)殺<06293>(8798)他<09002>吧！」
And David<01732> called<07121>(8799) one<0259> of the young men<05288>, and said<0559>(8799), Go near<05066>(8798), and fall<06293>(8798) upon him. And he smote<05221>(8686) him that he died<04191>(8799).
1:16 大衛<01732>對他<0413>說<0559>(8799)：「你流人血<01818>的罪歸到<05921>自己的頭上<07218>，因為<03588>你親口<06310>作見證<06030>(8804){<09002>}說<09001><0559>(8800)：『我<0595>殺了<04191>(8790){<0853>}耶和華<03068>的受膏者<04899>。』」少年人就把他殺了<05221>(8686){<04191>}{(8799)}。
And David<01732> said<0559>(8799) unto him, Thy blood<01818> be upon thy head<07218>; for thy mouth<06310> hath testified<06030>(8804) against thee, saying<0559>(8800), I have slain<04191>(8790) the LORD'S<03068> anointed<04899>.
1:17 大衛<01732>作<0854>哀歌<07015>{<02063>}，弔<06969>(8787){<05921>}掃羅<07586>和<05921>他兒子<01121>約拿單<03083>，
And David<01732> lamented<06969>(8787) with this lamentation<07015> over Saul<07586> and over Jonathan<03083> his son<01121>:
1:18 且吩咐<0559>(8799)將這歌教導<09001><03925>(8763)猶大<03063>人<01121>。這歌名叫「弓<07198>歌」，{<02009>}寫<03789>(8803)在<05921>雅煞珥<03477>書<05612>上。

1:19 歌中說：以色列<03478>啊，你尊榮者<06643>在<05921>山上<01116>被殺<02491>！大英雄<01368>何竟<0349>死亡<05307>(8804)！
The beauty<06643> of Israel<03478> is slain<02491> upon thy high places<01116>: how are the mighty<01368> fallen<05307>(8804)!
1:20 不要<0408>在迦特<09002><01661>報告<05046>(8686)；不要<0408>在亞實基倫<0831>街上<09002><02351>傳揚<01319>(8762)；免得<06435>非利士<06430>的女子<01323>歡樂<08055>(8799)；免得<06435>未受割禮<06189>之人的女子<01323>矜誇<05937>(8799)。
Tell<05046>(8686) it not in Gath<01661>, publish<01319>(8762) it not in the streets<02351> of Askelon<0831>; lest the daughters<01323> of the Philistines<06430> rejoice<08055>(8799), lest the daughters<01323> of the uncircumcised<06189> triumph<05937>(8799).

Ye mountains<02022> of Gilboa<01533>, let there be no dew<02919>, neither let there be rain<04306>, upon you, nor fields<07704> of offerings<08641>: for there the shield<04043> of the mighty<01368> is vilely cast away<01602>(8738), the shield<04043> of Saul<07586>, as though he had not been anointed<04899> with oil<08081>.
1:22 約拿單<03083>的弓箭<07198>非流敵人<02491>的血<04480><01818>不<03808>退縮<07734>(8738)<0268>；掃羅<07586>的刀劍<02719>非剖勇士<01368>的油<04480><02459>不<03808>收回<07725>(8799){<07387>}。
From the blood<01818> of the slain<02491>, from the fat<02459> of the mighty<01368>, the bow<07198> of Jonathan<03083> turned<07734>(8738) not back<0268>, and the sword<02719> of Saul<07586> returned<07725>(8799) not empty<07387>.
1:23 掃羅<07586>和約拿單<03083>─活時<09002><02416>相悅<05273>相愛<0157>(8737)，死時<09002><04194>也不<03808>分離<06504>(8738)─他們比鷹<04480><05404>更快<07043>(8804)，比獅子<04480><0738>還強<01396>(8804)。

Ye daughters<01323> of Israel<03478>, weep over<01058>(8798) Saul<07586>, who clothed<03847>(8688) you in scarlet<08144>, with other delights<05730>, who put<05927>(8688) on ornaments<05716> of gold<02091> upon your apparel<03830>.
1:25 英雄<01368>何竟<0349>在陣<04421>上<09002><08432>仆倒<05307>(8804)！約拿單<03083>何竟在<05921>山上<01116>被殺<02491>！
How are the mighty<01368> fallen<05307>(8804) in the midst<08432> of the battle<04421>! O Jonathan<03083>, thou wast slain<02491> in thine high places<01116>.
1:26 我兄<0251>約拿單<03083>哪，我<09001>為你<05921>悲傷<06862>(8804)！我<09001>甚<03966>喜悅你<05276>(8804)！你向我<09001>發的愛情<0160>奇妙非常<06381>(8738)，過於婦女<0802>的愛情<04480><0160>。

How are the mighty<01368> fallen<05307>(8804), and the weapons<03627> of war<04421> perished<06>(8799)!
