16:1 耶和華<03068>對<0413>撒母耳<08050>說<0559>(8799)：「我<0595>既厭棄<03988>(8804)掃羅<07586>作<05921>以色列<03478>的王<04480><04427>(8800)，你<0859>為<0413>他悲傷<056>(8693)要到<05704>幾時<04100>呢？你將膏油<08081>盛滿了<04390>(8761)角<07161>，我差遣你<07971>(8799)往<0413>伯利恆人<01022>耶西<03448>那裡去<03212>(8798)；因為<03588>我在他眾子之內<09002><01121>，預定<07200>(8804)一個作王<04428>的{<09001>}。」
And the LORD<03068> said<0559>(8799) unto Samuel<08050>, How long wilt thou mourn<056>(8693) for Saul<07586>, seeing I have rejected<03988>(8804) him from reigning<04427>(8800) over Israel<03478>? fill<04390>(8761) thine horn<07161> with oil<08081>, and go<03212>(8798), I will send<07971>(8799) thee to Jesse<03448> the Bethlehemite<01022>: for I have provided<07200>(8804) me a king<04428> among his sons<01121>.
16:2 撒母耳<08050>說<0559>(8799)：「我怎能<0349>去<03212>(8799)呢？掃羅<07586>若聽見<08085>(8804)，必要殺我<02026>(8804)。」耶和華<03068>說<0559>(8799)：「你可以帶<03947>(8799)一隻牛<05697>犢<01241>去{<09002>}{<03027>}，就說<0559>(8804)：『我來<0935>(8804)是要向耶和華<09001><03068>獻祭<09001><02076>(8800)。』
And Samuel<08050> said<0559>(8799), How can I go<03212>(8799)? if Saul<07586> hear<08085>(8804) it , he will kill<02026>(8804) me. And the LORD<03068> said<0559>(8799), Take<03947>(8799) an heifer<01241><05697> with thee<03027>, and say<0559>(8804), I am come<0935>(8804) to sacrifice<02076>(8800) to the LORD<03068>. {with thee: Heb. in thine hand}
16:3 你要請<07121>(8804)耶西<09001><03448>來吃祭肉<09002><02077>，我就指示你<03045>(8686){<0853>}所<0834>當行<06213>(8799)的事。我所<0834>指給<0559>(8799)你<0413>的人，你要{<09001>}膏<04886>(8804)他<0853>。」
And call<07121>(8804) Jesse<03448> to the sacrifice<02077>, and I will shew<03045>(8686) thee what thou shalt do<06213>(8799): and thou shalt anoint<04886>(8804) unto me him whom I name<0559>(8799) unto thee.
16:4 撒母耳<08050>就照<0834>耶和華<03068>的話<01696>(8765)去行<06213>(8799){<0853>}。到了<0935>(8799)伯利恆<01035>，那城<05892>裡的長老<02205>都戰戰兢兢地<02729>(8799)出來迎接他<09001><07125>(8800)，問他說<0559>(8799)：「你是為平安<07965>來<0935>(8800)的嗎？」
And Samuel<08050> did<06213>(8799) that which the LORD<03068> spake<01696>(8765), and came<0935>(8799) to Bethlehem<01035>. And the elders<02205> of the town<05892> trembled<02729>(8799) at his coming<07125>(8800), and said<0559>(8799), Comest<0935>(8800) thou peaceably<07965>? {coming: Heb. meeting}
16:5 他說<0559>(8799)：「為平安<07965>來<0935>(8804)的，我是給耶和華<09001><03068>獻祭<09001><02076>(8800)。你們當自潔<06942>(8690)，來<0935>(8804)與我<0854>同吃祭肉<09002><02077>。」撒母耳就使<0853>耶西<03448>和<0853>他眾子<01121>自潔<06942>(8762)，請<07121>(8799)他們<09001>來吃祭肉<09001><02077>。
And he said<0559>(8799), Peaceably<07965>: I am come<0935>(8804) to sacrifice<02076>(8800) unto the LORD<03068>: sanctify<06942>(8690) yourselves, and come<0935>(8804) with me to the sacrifice<02077>. And he sanctified<06942>(8762) Jesse<03448> and his sons<01121>, and called<07121>(8799) them to the sacrifice<02077>.
16:6 {<01961>}他們來<09002><0935>(8800)的時候，撒母耳看見<07200>(8799){<0853>}以利押<0446>，就心裡說<0559>(8799)，耶和華<03068>的受膏者<04899>必定<0389>在他面前<05048>。
And it came to pass, when they were come<0935>(8800), that he looked<07200>(8799) on Eliab<0446>, and said<0559>(8799), Surely the LORD'S<03068> anointed<04899> is before him. {Eliab: called Elihu}
16:7 耶和華<03068>卻對<0413>撒母耳<08050>說<0559>(8799)：「不要<0408>看<05027>(8686){<0413>}他的外貌<04758>和<0413>他身材<06967>高大<01364>，{<03588>}我不揀選他<03988>(8804)。因為<03588>，耶和華不<03808>像<0834>人<0120>看<07200>(8799)人：人<0120>是<03588>看<07200>(8799)外貌<09001><05869>；耶和華<03068>是看<07200>(8799)內心<09001><03824>。」
But the LORD<03068> said<0559>(8799) unto Samuel<08050>, Look<05027>(8686) not on his countenance<04758>, or on the height<01364> of his stature<06967>; because I have refused<03988>(8804) him: for the LORD seeth not as man<0120> seeth<07200>(8799); for man<0120> looketh<07200>(8799) on the outward appearance<05869>, but the LORD<03068> looketh<07200>(8799) on the heart<03824>. {outward...: Heb. eyes}
16:8 耶西<03448>叫<07121>(8799){<0413>}亞比拿達<041>從撒母耳<08050>面前<09001><06440>經過<05674>(8686)，撒母耳說<0559>(8799)：「耶和華<03068>也<01571>不<03808>揀選<0977>(8804)他<09002><02088>。」
Then Jesse<03448> called<07121>(8799) Abinadab<041>, and made him pass<05674>(8686) before<06440> Samuel<08050>. And he said<0559>(8799), Neither hath the LORD<03068> chosen<0977>(8804) this.
16:9 耶西<03448>又叫沙瑪<08048>從撒母耳面前經過<05674>(8686)，撒母耳說<0559>(8799)：「耶和華<03068>也<01571>不<03808>揀選<0977>(8804)他<09002><02088>。」
Then Jesse<03448> made Shammah<08048> to pass by<05674>(8686). And he said<0559>(8799), Neither hath the LORD<03068> chosen<0977>(8804) this. {Shammah: Shimeah, also called, Shimma}
16:10 耶西<03448>叫他七個<07651>兒子<01121>都從撒母耳<08050>面前<09001><06440>經過<05674>(8686)，撒母耳<08050>說<0559>(8799){<0413>}{<03448>}：「這<09002><0428>都不是<03808>耶和華<03068>所揀選<0977>(8804)的。」
Again, Jesse<03448> made seven<07651> of his sons<01121> to pass<05674>(8686) before<06440> Samuel<08050>. And Samuel<08050> said<0559>(8799) unto Jesse<03448>, The LORD<03068> hath not chosen<0977>(8804) these.
16:11 撒母耳<08050>對<0413>耶西<03448>說<0559>(8799)：「你的兒子<05288>都在這裡嗎<08552>(8804)？」他回答說<0559>(8799)：「{<05750>}還有<07604>(8804)個小<06996>的，現在<02009>放<07462>(8802)羊<09002><06629>。」撒母耳<08050>對<0413>耶西<03448>說<0559>(8799)：「你打發<07971>(8798)人去叫他來<03947>(8798)；他若<03588>不<05704>來<0935>(8800){<06311>}，我們必不<03808>坐席<05437>(8799)。」
And Samuel<08050> said<0559>(8799) unto Jesse<03448>, Are here all<08552>(8804) thy children<05288>? And he said<0559>(8799), There remaineth<07604>(8804) yet the youngest<06996>, and, behold, he keepeth<07462>(8802) the sheep<06629>. And Samuel<08050> said<0559>(8799) unto Jesse<03448>, Send<07971>(8798) and fetch<03947>(8798) him: for we will not sit down<05437>(8799) till he come<0935>(8800) hither<06311>. {down: Heb. round}
16:12 耶西就打發人<07971>(8799)去叫了他來<0935>(8686)。他<01931>面色光紅<0132>，{<05973>}雙目<05869>清秀<03303>，容貌<07210>俊美<02896>。耶和華<03068>說<0559>(8799)：「{<03588>}這<02088>就是他<01931>，你起來<06965>(8798)膏他<04886>(8798)。」
And he sent<07971>(8799), and brought him in<0935>(8686). Now he was ruddy<0132>, and withal<05973> of a beautiful<03303> countenance<05869>, and goodly<02896> to look to<07210>. And the LORD<03068> said<0559>(8799), Arise<06965>(8798), anoint<04886>(8798) him: for this is he. {of a...: Heb. fair of eyes}
16:13 撒母耳<08050>就用<03947>(8799){<0853>}角<07161>裡的膏油<08081>，在<09002><07130>他諸兄<0251>中<07130>膏了<04886>(8799)他<0853>。從這<01931>日<04480><03117>起<04605>，耶和華<03068>的靈<07307>就大大感動<06743>(8799){<0413>}大衛<01732>。撒母耳<08050>起身<06965>(8799)回<03212>(8799)拉瑪<07414>去了。
Then Samuel<08050> took<03947>(8799) the horn<07161> of oil<08081>, and anointed<04886>(8799) him in the midst<07130> of his brethren<0251>: and the Spirit<07307> of the LORD<03068> came<06743>(8799) upon David<01732> from that day<03117> forward<04605>. So Samuel<08050> rose up<06965>(8799), and went<03212>(8799) to Ramah<07414>.
16:14 耶和華<03068>的靈<07307>離開<05493>(8804){<04480>}{<05973>}掃羅<07586>，有惡<07451>魔<07307>從<04480><0854>耶和華<03068>那裡來擾亂他<01204>(8765)。
But the Spirit<07307> of the LORD<03068> departed<05493>(8804) from Saul<07586>, and an evil<07451> spirit<07307> from the LORD<03068> troubled<01204>(8765) him. {troubled: or, terrified}
16:15 掃羅<07586>的臣僕<05650>對他<0413>說<0559>(8799)：「現在<02009>{<04994>}有惡<07451>魔<07307>從神<0430>那裡來擾亂你<01204>(8764)。
And Saul's<07586> servants<05650> said<0559>(8799) unto him, Behold now, an evil<07451> spirit<07307> from God<0430> troubleth<01204>(8764) thee.
16:16 我們的主<0113>可以<04994>吩咐<0559>(8799)面前的<09001><06440>臣僕<05650>，找<01245>(8762)一個<0376>善於<03045>(8802)彈<05059>(8764)琴<09002><03658>的來，等<01961>神<0430>那裡來的惡<07451>魔<07307>臨<09002><01961>到你身上<05921>的時候，使他用手<09002><03027>彈<05059>(8765)琴，你<09001>就好了<02895>(8804)。」
Let our lord<0113> now command<0559>(8799) thy servants<05650>, which are before<06440> thee, to seek out<01245>(8762) a man<0376>, who is a cunning<03045>(8802) player<05059>(8764) on an harp<03658>: and it shall come to pass, when the evil<07451> spirit<07307> from God<0430> is upon thee, that he shall play<05059>(8765) with his hand<03027>, and thou shalt be well<02895>(8804).
16:17 掃羅<07586>對<0413>臣僕<05650>說<0559>(8799)：「你們可以<04994>為我<09001>找<07200>(8798)一個<0376>善於<03190>(8688)彈<09001><05059>(8763)琴的，帶<0935>(8689)到我這裡<0413>來。」
And Saul<07586> said<0559>(8799) unto his servants<05650>, Provide<07200>(8798) me now a man<0376> that can play<05059>(8763) well<03190>(8688), and bring<0935>(8689) him to me.
16:18 其中有一個<0259>少年人<04480><05288>{<06030>}{(8799)}說<0559>(8799)：「{<02009>}我曾見<07200>(8804)伯利恆人<01022>耶西<03448>的一個兒子<01121>善於<03045>(8802)彈<05059>(8763)琴，是大<01368>有勇敢<02428>的戰<04421>士<0376>，說話<01697>合宜<0995>(8737)，容貌俊美<08389>{<0376>}，耶和華<03068>也與他<05973>同在。」
Then answered<06030>(8799) one<0259> of the servants<05288>, and said<0559>(8799), Behold, I have seen<07200>(8804) a son<01121> of Jesse<03448> the Bethlehemite<01022>, that is cunning<03045>(8802) in playing<05059>(8763), and a mighty<01368> valiant man<02428>, and a man<0376> of war<04421>, and prudent<0995>(8737) in matters<01697>, and a comely<08389> person<0376>, and the LORD<03068> is with him. {matters: or, speech}
16:19 於是掃羅<07586>差遣<07971>(8799)使者<04397>去見<0413>耶西<03448>，說<0559>(8799)：「請你打發<07971>(8798){<0853>}你放羊<09002><06629>的<0834>兒子<01121>大衛<01732>到我這裡<0413>來。」
Wherefore Saul<07586> sent<07971>(8799) messengers<04397> unto Jesse<03448>, and said<0559>(8799), Send<07971>(8798) me David<01732> thy son<01121>, which is with the sheep<06629>.
16:20 耶西<03448>就把<03947>(8799)幾個餅<03899>和一皮袋<04997>酒<03196>，並一隻<0259>山羊<05795>羔<01423>，都馱在驢<02543>上，交給<09002><03027>他兒子<01121>大衛<01732>，送<07971>(8799)與<0413>掃羅<07586>。
And Jesse<03448> took<03947>(8799) an ass<02543> laden with bread<03899>, and a bottle<04997> of wine<03196>, and a<0259> kid<01423><05795>, and sent<07971>(8799) them by<03027> David<01732> his son<01121> unto Saul<07586>.
16:21 大衛<01732>到了<0935>(8799){<0413>}掃羅<07586>那裡，就侍立<05975>(8799)在掃羅面前<09001><06440>。掃羅甚<03966>喜愛他<0157>(8799)，他就作了<01961>掃羅拿<05375>(8802)兵器<03627>的人。
And David<01732> came<0935>(8799) to Saul<07586>, and stood<05975>(8799) before<06440> him: and he loved<0157>(8799) him greatly<03966>; and he became his armourbearer<05375>(8802)<03627>.
16:22 掃羅<07586>差遣人<07971>(8799)去見<0413>耶西<03448>，說<0559>(8800)：「求<04994>你容大衛<01732>侍立<05975>(8799)在我面前<09001><06440>，因為<03588>他在我眼前<09002><05869>蒙了<04672>(8804)恩<02580>。」
And Saul<07586> sent<07971>(8799) to Jesse<03448>, saying<0559>(8800), Let David<01732>, I pray thee, stand<05975>(8799) before<06440> me; for he hath found<04672>(8804) favour<02580> in my sight<05869>.
16:23 {<01961>}從神<0430>那裡來的惡魔<07307>臨<09002><01961>到<0413>掃羅<07586>身上的時候，大衛<01732>就拿<03947>(8804){<0853>}琴<03658>，用手<09002><03027>而彈<05059>(8765)，掃羅<09001><07586>便舒暢<07304>(8804)爽快<02895>(8804){<09001>}，惡<07451>魔<07307>離了<05493>(8804)他<04480><05921>。
And it came to pass, when the evil spirit<07307> from God<0430> was upon Saul<07586>, that David<01732> took<03947>(8804) an harp<03658>, and played<05059>(8765) with his hand<03027>: so Saul<07586> was refreshed<07304>(8804), and was well<02895>(8804), and the evil<07451> spirit<07307> departed<05493>(8804) from him.
