1:1 當<01961>士師<08199>(8802)秉政<08199>(8800)的時候<09002><03117>，國中<09002><0776>遭遇<01961>饑荒<07458>。在猶大的<03063>伯利恆<04480><01035>，有一個人<0376>{<01931>}帶著妻子<0802>和兩個<08147>兒子<01121>往摩押<04124>地<09002><07704>去<03212>(8799)寄居<09001><01481>(8800)。
Now it came to pass in the days<03117> when the judges<08199>(8802) ruled<08199>(8800), that there was a famine<07458> in the land<0776>. And a certain man<0376> of Bethlehemjudah<01035><03063> went<03212>(8799) to sojourn<01481>(8800) in the country<07704> of Moab<04124>, he, and his wife<0802>, and his two<08147> sons<01121>. {ruled: Heb. judged}
1:2 這人<0376>名<08034>叫以利米勒<0458>，他的妻<0802>名<08034>叫拿俄米<05281>；他兩個<08147>兒子<01121>，一個名<08034>叫瑪倫<04248>，一個名叫基連<03630>，都是猶大<03063>伯利恆<04480><01035>的以法他人<0673>。他們到了<0935>(8799)摩押<04124>地<07704>，就住在{<01961>}那裡<08033>。
And the name<08034> of the man<0376> was Elimelech<0458>, and the name<08034> of his wife<0802> Naomi<05281>, and the name<08034> of his two<08147> sons<01121> Mahlon<04248> and Chilion<03630>, Ephrathites<0673> of Bethlehemjudah<01035><03063>. And they came<0935>(8799) into the country<07704> of Moab<04124>, and continued there. {continued: Heb. were}
1:3 後來拿俄米<05281>的丈夫<0376>以利米勒<0458>死了<04191>(8799)，剩下<07604>(8735)婦人{<01931>}和她兩個<08147>兒子<01121>。
And Elimelech<0458> Naomi's<05281> husband<0376> died<04191>(8799); and she was left<07604>(8735), and her two<08147> sons<01121>.
1:4 這兩個兒子<09001>娶了<05375>(8799)摩押女子<04125>為妻<0802>，一個<0259>名<08034>叫俄珥巴<06204>，一個<08145>名<08034>叫路得<07327>，在那裡<08033>住了<03427>(8799)約有十<09003><06235>年<08141>。
And they took<05375>(8799) them wives<0802> of the women<0802> of Moab<04125>; the name<08034> of the one<0259> was Orpah<06204>, and the name<08034> of the other<08145> Ruth<07327>: and they dwelled<03427>(8799) there about ten<06235> years<08141>.
1:5 瑪倫<04248>和基連<03630>二人<08147>也<01571>死了<04191>(8799)，剩下<07604>(8735)拿俄米{<0802>}，沒有丈夫<04480><0376>，也沒有{<04480>}{<08147>}兒子<03206>。
And Mahlon<04248> and Chilion<03630> died<04191>(8799) also both<08147> of them; and the woman<0802> was left<07604>(8735) of her two<08147> sons<03206> and her husband<0376>.
1:6 她<01931>就與兩個兒婦<03618>起身<06965>(8799)，要從摩押<04124>地<04480><07704>歸回<07725>(8799)；因為<03588>她在摩押<04124>地<09002><07704>聽見<08085>(8804){<03588>}耶和華<03068>眷顧<06485>(8804)<0853>自己的百姓<05971>，賜<09001><05414>(8800)糧食<03899>與他們<09001>。
Then she arose<06965>(8799) with her daughters in law<03618>, that she might return<07725>(8799) from the country<07704> of Moab<04124>: for she had heard<08085>(8804) in the country<07704> of Moab<04124> how that the LORD<03068> had visited<06485>(8804) his people<05971> in giving<05414>(8800) them bread<03899>.
1:7 於是她和<05973>兩個<08147>兒婦<03618>起行<03212>(8799){<01870>}離開<03318>(8799){<04480>}所<0834>住的{<01961>}{<08033>}地方<04725>，{<09002>}{<01870>}要回<09001><07725>(8800){<0413>}猶大<03063>地<0776>去。
Wherefore she went forth<03318>(8799) out of the place<04725> where she was, and her two<08147> daughters in law<03618> with her; and they went<03212>(8799) on the way<01870> to return<07725>(8800) unto the land<0776> of Judah<03063>.
1:8 拿俄米<05281>對兩個<09001><08147>兒婦<03618>說<0559>(8799)：「你們各人<0802>回<07725>(8798)娘<0517>家<09001><01004>去吧<03212>(8798)。願耶和華<03068>恩<02617>待<06213>(8799)你們<05973>，像<09003><0834>你們恩待<06213>(8804){<05973>}已死的人<04191>(8801)與我<05978>一樣！
And Naomi<05281> said<0559>(8799) unto her two<08147> daughters in law<03618>, Go<03212>(8798), return<07725>(8798) each<0802> to her mother's<0517> house<01004>: the LORD<03068> deal<06213>(8799) kindly<02617> with you, as ye have dealt<06213>(8804) with the dead<04191>(8801), and with me.
1:9 願耶和華<03068>使<05414>(8799)你們<09001>各<0802>在新夫<0376>家中<01004>得<04672>(8798)平安<04496>！」於是拿俄米與她們<09001>親嘴<05401>(8799)。她們就放<05375>(8799)聲<06963>而哭<01058>(8799)，
The LORD<03068> grant<05414>(8799) you that ye may find<04672>(8798) rest<04496>, each<0802> of you in the house<01004> of her husband<0376>. Then she kissed<05401>(8799) them; and they lifted up<05375>(8799) their voice<06963>, and wept<01058>(8799).
1:10 {<09001>}說<0559>(8799)：「不然<03588>，我們必與你<0854>一同回<07725>(8799)你本國<09001><05971>去。」
And they said<0559>(8799) unto her, Surely we will return<07725>(8799) with thee unto thy people<05971>.
1:11 拿俄米<05281>說<0559>(8799)：「我女兒們<01323>哪，回去吧<07725>(8798)！為何<09001><04100>要跟我<05973>去<03212>(8799)呢？我<09001>還<05750>能生{<09002>}{<04578>}子<01121>作<01961>你們<09001>的丈夫<09001><0582>嗎？
And Naomi<05281> said<0559>(8799), Turn again<07725>(8798), my daughters<01323>: why will ye go<03212>(8799) with me? are there yet any more sons<01121> in my womb<04578>, that they may be your husbands<0582>?
1:12 我女兒們<01323>哪，回<07725>(8798)去吧<03212>(8798)！{<03588>}我年紀老邁<02204>(8804)，不能再有<04480><01961>丈夫<09001><0376>；即或<03588>說<0559>(8804)，我<09001>還有<03426>指望<08615>，{<01571>}今夜<03915>有<01961>丈夫<09001><0376>{<01571>}可以生<03205>(8804)子<01121>，
Turn again<07725>(8798), my daughters<01323>, go<03212>(8798) your way ; for I am too old<02204>(8804) to have an husband<0376>. If I should say<0559>(8804), I have<03426> hope<08615>, if I should have an husband<0376> also to night<03915>, and should also bear<03205>(8804) sons<01121>; {should have...: or were with an husband}
1:13 你們豈能<03860>等著<07663>(8762){<05704>}{<0834>}他們長大<01431>(8799)呢？你們豈能<03860>等著他們{<05702>}{(8735)}不<09001><01115>嫁{<01961>}別人<09001><0376>呢？我女兒們<01323>哪，不要<0408>這樣。{<03588>}我<09001>為你們<04480>的緣故甚是<03966>愁苦<04843>(8804)，因為<03588>耶和華<03068>伸手<03027>攻擊<03318>(8804)我<09002>。」
Would ye tarry<07663>(8762) for them<03860> till they were grown<01431>(8799)? would ye stay<05702>(8735) for them<03860> from having husbands<0376>? nay, my daughters<01323>; for it grieveth<04843>(8804) me much<03966> for your sakes that the hand<03027> of the LORD<03068> is gone out<03318>(8804) against me. {tarry: Heb. hope} {it grieveth...: Heb. I have much bitterness}
1:14 兩個兒婦又<05750>放<05375>(8799)聲<06963>而哭<01058>(8799)，俄珥巴<06204>與婆婆<09001><02545>親嘴<05401>(8799)而別，只是路得<07327>捨不得<01692>(8804)拿俄米{<09002>}。
And they lifted up<05375>(8799) their voice<06963>, and wept again<01058>(8799): and Orpah<06204> kissed<05401>(8799) her mother in law<02545>; but Ruth<07327> clave<01692>(8804) unto her.
1:15 拿俄米說<0559>(8799)：「看哪<02009>，你嫂子<02994>已經回<07725>(8804){<0413>}她本國<05971>和<0413>她所拜的神<0430>那裡去了，你也跟著<0310>你嫂子<02994>回去吧<07725>(8798)！」
And she said<0559>(8799), Behold, thy sister in law<02994> is gone back<07725>(8804) unto her people<05971>, and unto her gods<0430>: return<07725>(8798) thou after<0310> thy sister in law<02994>.
1:16 路得<07327>說<0559>(8799)：「不要<0408>催<06293>(8799)我<09002>{<09001>}{<05800>}{(8800)}回去<09001><07725>(8800)不跟隨你<04480><0310>。{<03588>}你往<0413>哪裡<0834>去<03212>(8799)，我也往那裡去<03212>(8799)；你在哪裡<09002><0834>住宿<03885>(8799)，我也在那裡住宿<03885>(8799)；你的國<05971>就是我的國<05971>，你的　神<0430>就是我的　神<0430>。
And Ruth<07327> said<0559>(8799), Intreat<06293>(8799) me not to leave<05800>(8800) thee, or to return<07725>(8800) from following after<0310> thee: for whither thou goest<03212>(8799), I will go<03212>(8799); and where thou lodgest<03885>(8799), I will lodge<03885>(8799): thy people<05971> shall be my people<05971>, and thy God<0430> my God<0430>: {Intreat...: or, Be not against me}
1:17 你在哪裡<09002><0834>死<04191>(8799)，我也在那裡死<04191>(8799)，也葬<06912>(8735)在那裡<08033>。除非<03588>死<04194>能使你<0996>我<0996>相離<06504>(8686)！不然<03541>，願{<03541>}耶和華<03068>重重地<03254>(8686)降罰<06213>(8799)與我<09001>。」
Where thou diest<04191>(8799), will I die<04191>(8799), and there will I be buried<06912>(8735): the LORD<03068> do<06213>(8799) so to me, and more<03254>(8686) also, if ought but death<04194> part<06504>(8686) thee and me.
1:18 拿俄米見<07200>(8799){<03588>}路得{<01931>}定意<0553>(8693)要跟隨自己<0854>去<09001><03212>(8800)，就不再<02308>(8799)勸<09001><01696>(8763)她<0413>了。
When she saw<07200>(8799) that she was stedfastly minded<0553>(8693) to go<03212>(8800) with her, then she left<02308>(8799) speaking<01696>(8763) unto her. {was...: Heb. strengthened herself}
1:19 於是二人<08147>同行<03212>(8799)，來<09003><0935>(8800)到<05704>伯利恆<01035>。{<01961>}她們到了<09003><0935>(8800)伯利恆<01035>，合<03605>城<05892>的人就都驚訝<01949>(8735){<05921>}。婦女們說<0559>(8799)：「這是<02063>拿俄米<05281>嗎？」
So they two<08147> went<03212>(8799) until they came<0935>(8800) to Bethlehem<01035>. And it came to pass, when they were come<0935>(8800) to Bethlehem<01035>, that all the city<05892> was moved<01949>(8735) about them, and they said<0559>(8799), Is this Naomi<05281>?
1:20 拿俄米對他們<0413>說<0559>(8799)：「不要<0408>叫<07121>(8799)我<09001>拿俄米<05281>（就是甜的意思），要叫<07121>(8798)我<09001>瑪拉<04755>（就是苦的意思），因為<03588>全能者<07706>使我<09001>受了大<03966>苦<04843>(8689)。
And she said<0559>(8799) unto them, Call<07121>(8799) me not Naomi<05281>, call<07121>(8798) me Mara<04755>: for the Almighty<07706> hath dealt very<03966> bitterly<04843>(8689) with me. {Naomi: that is, Pleasant} {Mara: that is, Bitter}
1:21 我<0589>滿滿地<04392>出去<01980>(8804)，耶和華<03068>使我空空地<07387>回來<07725>(8689)。耶和華<03068>降禍<06030>(8804)與我<09002>；全能者<07706>使我<09001>受苦<07489>(8689)。既是這樣，你們為何<09001><04100>還叫<07121>(8799)我<09001>拿俄米<05281>呢？」
I went out<01980>(8804) full<04392>, and the LORD<03068> hath brought me home again<07725>(8689) empty<07387>: why then call<07121>(8799) ye me Naomi<05281>, seeing the LORD<03068> hath testified<06030>(8804) against me, and the Almighty<07706> hath afflicted<07489>(8689) me?
1:22 拿俄米<05281>和她<05973>兒婦<03618>摩押女子<04125>路得<07327>，從摩押<04124>地<04480><07704>回來<07725>(8799){<01992>}到<0935>(8804)伯利恆<01035>，正是動手<09002><08462>割<07105>大麥<08184>的時候。
So Naomi<05281> returned<07725>(8799), and Ruth<07327> the Moabitess<04125>, her daughter in law<03618>, with her, which returned<07725>(8804) out of the country<07704> of Moab<04124>: and they came<0935>(8804) to Bethlehem<01035> in the beginning<08462> of barley<08184> harvest<07105>.
