21 以色列<03478>人<0376>在米斯巴<09002><04709>曾起誓<07650>(8738)說<09001><0559>(8800)：「我們都<0376><04480>不<03808>將女兒<01323>給<05414>(8799)便雅憫人<09001><01144>為妻<09001><0802>。」
Now the men<0376> of Israel<03478> had sworn<07650>(8738) in Mizpeh<04709>, saying<0559>(8800), There shall not any<0376> of us give<05414>(8799) his daughter<01323> unto Benjamin<01144> to wife<0802>.
2 以色列人<05971>來到<0935>(8799)伯特利<01008>，坐在<03427>(8799){<08033>}　神<0430>面前<09001><06440>直到<05704>晚上<06153>，放<05375>(8799)聲<06963>痛哭<01058>(8799)<01065><01419>，
And the people<05971> came<0935>(8799) to the house<01004> of God<0430>(8677)<01008>, and abode<03427>(8799) there till even<06153> before<06440> God<0430>, and lifted up<05375>(8799) their voices<06963>, and wept<01058>(8799)<01065> sore<01419>;
3 說<0559>(8799)：「耶和華<03068>─以色列<03478>的　神<0430>啊，為何<09001><04100>以色列中<09002><03478>有<01961>這樣<02063>缺了<09001><06485>(8736){<03117>}{<04480>}{<03478>}一<0259>支派<07626>的事呢？」
And said<0559>(8799), O LORD<03068> God<0430> of Israel<03478>, why is this come to pass in Israel<03478>, that there should be to day<03117> one<0259> tribe<07626> lacking<06485>(8736) in Israel<03478>?
4 {<01961>}次日<04480><04283>清早，百姓<05971>起來<07925>(8686)，在那裡<08033>築了<01129>(8799)一座壇<04196>，獻<05927>(8686)燔祭<05930>和平安祭<08002>。
And it came to pass on the morrow<04283>, that the people<05971> rose early<07925>(8686), and built<01129>(8799) there an altar<04196>, and offered<05927>(8686) burnt offerings<05930> and peace offerings<08002>.
5 以色列<03478>人<01121>彼此問說<0559>(8799)：「以色列<03478>各<04480><03605>支派<07626>中，誰<04310><0834>沒有<03808>同會眾<09002><06951>上<05927>(8804)到<0413>耶和華<03068>面前來呢？」{<03588>}先是以色列人起過大<01419>誓<07621>說<09001><0559>(8800)，{<01961>}凡<09001><0834>不<03808>上<05927>(8804)米斯巴<04709>到<0413>耶和華<03068>面前來的，必<04191>(8800)將他治死<04191>(8714)。
And the children<01121> of Israel<03478> said<0559>(8799), Who is there among all the tribes<07626> of Israel<03478> that<0834> came<05927>(8804) not up with the congregation<06951> unto the LORD<03068>? For they had made a great<01419> oath<07621> concerning him that came not up<05927>(8804) to the LORD<03068> to Mizpeh<04709>, saying<0559>(8800), He shall surely<04191>(8800) be put to death<04191>(8714).
6 以色列<03478>人<01121>為<0413>他們的弟兄<0251>便雅憫<01144>後悔<05162>(8735)，說<0559>(8799)：「如今<03117>以色列中<04480><03478>絕了<01438>(8738)一個<0259>支派<07626>了。
And the children<01121> of Israel<03478> repented<05162>(8735) them for Benjamin<01144> their brother<0251>, and said<0559>(8799), There is one<0259> tribe<07626> cut off<01438>(8738) from Israel<03478> this day<03117>.
7 我們<0587>既在耶和華<09002><03068>面前起誓<07650>(8738)說，必不<09001><01115>將我們的女兒<04480><01323>給<05414>(8800)便雅憫人<09001>為妻<09001><0802>，現在我們當怎樣<04100>辦理<06213>(8799)、使他們<09001>剩下<09001><03498>(8737)的人有妻<09001><0802>呢？」
How shall we do<06213>(8799) for wives<0802> for them that remain<03498>(8737), seeing we have sworn<07650>(8738) by the LORD<03068> that we will not give<05414>(8800) them of our daughters<01323> to wives<0802>?
8 又彼此問說<0559>(8799)：「以色列<03478>支派中<04480><07626>誰<04310><0259><0834>沒有<03808>上<05927>(8804)米斯巴<04709>到<0413>耶和華<03068>面前來呢？」{<02009>}他們就查出基列<01568>‧雅比<04480><03003>沒有<03808>一人<0376>進<0935>(8804)<0413>營<04264>到<0413>會眾<06951>那裡；
And they said<0559>(8799), What one<0259> is there of the tribes<07626> of Israel<03478> that came not up<05927>(8804) to Mizpeh<04709> to the LORD<03068>? And, behold, there came<0935>(8804) none<0376> to the camp<04264> from Jabeshgilead<03003><01568> to the assembly<06951>.
9 因為百姓<05971>被數<06485>(8691)的時候，{<02009>}沒有<0369>一個<0376>基列<01568>‧雅比<03003>人<04480><03427>(8802)在那裡<08033>。
For the people<05971> were numbered<06485>(8691), and, behold, there were none<0376> of the inhabitants<03427>(8802) of Jabeshgilead<03003><01568> there.
10 會眾<05712>就打發<07971>(8799){<08033>}一萬二千<06240><08147><0505>{<0376>}大勇士<04480><01121><02428>，吩咐<06680>(8762)他們<0853>說<09001><0559>(8800)：「你們去<03212>(8798)用<09001><06310>刀<02719>將<0853>基列<01568>‧雅比<03003>人<03427>(8802)連婦女<0802>帶孩子<02945>都擊殺了<05221>(8689)。
And the congregation<05712> sent<07971>(8799) thither twelve<08147><06240> thousand<0505> men<0376> of the valiantest<01121><02428>, and commanded<06680>(8762) them, saying<0559>(8800), Go<03212>(8798) and smite<05221>(8689) the inhabitants<03427>(8802) of Jabeshgilead<03003><01568> with the edge<06310> of the sword<02719>, with the women<0802> and the children<02945>.
11 所<0834>當行<06213>(8799)的就是這<02088>樣<01697>：要將一切<03605>男子<02145>和<03605>已嫁<03045>(8802)<04904>的女子<0802>盡行殺戮<02763>(8686)。」
And this is the thing<01697> that ye shall do<06213>(8799), Ye shall utterly destroy<02763>(8686) every male<02145>, and every woman<0802> that hath lain<04904> by man<03045>(8802). {hath lain...: Heb. knoweth the lying with man}
12 他們在基列<01568>‧雅比<03003>人中<04480><03427>(8802)，遇見了<04672>(8799)四<0702>百<03967>個{<0834>}未<03808>嫁的<03045>(8804)<0376>{<09001>}{<04904>}{<02145>}處女<05291><01330>，就帶<0935>(8686){<0853>}到<0413>迦南<03667>地<09002><0776>的<0834>示羅<07887>營<04264>裡。
And they found<04672>(8799) among the inhabitants<03427>(8802) of Jabeshgilead<03003><01568> four<0702> hundred<03967> young<05291> virgins<01330>, that had known<03045>(8804) no man<0376> by lying<04904> with any male<02145>: and they brought<0935>(8686) them unto the camp<04264> to Shiloh<07887>, which is in the land<0776> of Canaan<03667>. {young...: Heb. young women virgins}
13 全<03605>會眾<05712>打發<07971>(8799)人到<0413>臨門<07417>磐<09002><05553>的<0834>便雅憫<01144>人<01121>那裡，向他們<09001>說<07121>(8799)和睦<07965>的話<01696>(8762)。
And the whole congregation<05712> sent<07971>(8799) some to speak<01696>(8762) to the children<01121> of Benjamin<01144> that were in the rock<05553> Rimmon<07417>, and to call<07121>(8799) peaceably<07965> unto them. {to speak...: Heb. and spake and called} {call...: or, proclaim peace}
14 當<01931>時<09002><06256>便雅憫人<01144>回來了<07725>(8799)，以色列人就把所<0834>存活<02421>(8765)基列<01568>‧雅比<03003>的女子<04480><0802>給<05414>(8799)他們<09001>為妻<0802>，還是<03651>不<03808>夠<04672>(8804){<09001>}。
And Benjamin<01144> came again<07725>(8799) at that time<06256>; and they gave<05414>(8799) them wives<0802> which they had saved alive<02421>(8765) of the women<0802> of Jabeshgilead<03003><01568>: and yet so they sufficed<04672>(8804) them not.
15 百姓<05971>為便雅憫人<09001><01144>後悔<05162>(8737)，因為<03588>耶和華<03068>使<06213>(8804)以色列人<03478>缺了一個支派<09002><07626>（原文是使以色列中有了破口<06556>）。
And the people<05971> repented<05162>(8737) them for Benjamin<01144>, because that the LORD<03068> had made<06213>(8804) a breach<06556> in the tribes<07626> of Israel<03478>.
16 會<05712>中的長老<02205>說<0559>(8799)：「便雅憫中<04480><01144>的女子<0802>既然<03588>除滅了<08045>(8738)，我們當怎樣<04100>辦理<06213>(8799)、使那餘剩<09001><03498>(8737)的人有妻<09001><0802>呢？」
Then the elders<02205> of the congregation<05712> said<0559>(8799), How shall we do<06213>(8799) for wives<0802> for them that remain<03498>(8737), seeing the women<0802> are destroyed<08045>(8738) out of Benjamin<01144>?
17 又說<0559>(8799)：「便雅憫<09001><01144>逃脫的人<06413>當有地業<03425>，免得<03808>以色列中<04480><03478>塗抹了<04229>(8735)一個支派<07626>。
And they said<0559>(8799), There must be an inheritance<03425> for them that be escaped<06413> of Benjamin<01144>, that a tribe<07626> be not destroyed<04229>(8735) out of Israel<03478>.
18 只是我們<0587>不<03808>能<03201>(8799)將自己的女兒<04480><01323>給<09001><05414>(8800)他們<09001>為妻<0802>；因為<03588>以色列<03478>人<01121>曾起誓<07650>(8738)說<09001><0559>(8800)，有將女兒給<05414>(8802)便雅憫人<09001><01144>為妻<0802>的，必受咒詛<0779>(8803)。」
Howbeit we may<03201>(8799) not give<05414>(8800) them wives<0802> of our daughters<01323>: for the children<01121> of Israel<03478> have sworn<07650>(8738), saying<0559>(8800), Cursed<0779>(8803) be he that giveth<05414>(8802) a wife<0802> to Benjamin<01144>.
19 他們又說<0559>(8799)：「{<02009>}在利波拿<09001><03829>以南<04480><05045>，伯特利<09001><01008>以北<04480><06828>，{<05927>}{(8802)}{<04480>}{<01008>}在示劍<07927>大路<09001><04546>以東<04217><08121>的<0834>示羅<09002><07887>，年<04480><03117>年<03117>有耶和華<03068>的節期<02282>」；
Then they said<0559>(8799), Behold, there is a feast<02282> of the LORD<03068> in Shiloh<07887> yearly<03117><03117> in a place which is on the north side<06828> of Bethel<01008>, on the east side<04217><08121> of the highway<04546> that goeth up<05927>(8802) from Bethel<01008> to Shechem<07927>, and on the south<05045> of Lebonah<03829>. {yearly: Heb. from year to year} {on the east...: or, toward the sunrising} {of the highway: or, on the highway}
20 就吩咐<06680>(8762){<0853>}便雅憫<01144>人<01121>說<09001><0559>(8800)：「你們去<03212>(8798)，在葡萄園中<09002><03754>埋伏<0693>(8804)。
Therefore they commanded<06680>(8762) the children<01121> of Benjamin<01144>, saying<0559>(8800), Go<03212>(8798) and lie in wait<0693>(8804) in the vineyards<03754>;
21 若<0518>看見<07200>(8804){<02009>}示羅<07887>的女子<01323>出來<03318>(8799)跳<09001><02342>(8800)舞<09002><04246>，就從<04480>葡萄園<03754>出來<03318>(8804)，在示羅<07887>的女子中<04480><01323>各<0376>搶<02414>(8804){<09001>}一個為妻<0802>，回便雅憫<01144>地<0776>去<01980>(8804)。
And see<07200>(8804), and, behold, if the daughters<01323> of Shiloh<07887> come out<03318>(8799) to dance<02342>(8800) in dances<04246>, then come ye out<03318>(8804) of the vineyards<03754>, and catch<02414>(8804) you every man<0376> his wife<0802> of the daughters<01323> of Shiloh<07887>, and go<01980>(8804) to the land<0776> of Benjamin<01144>.
22 {<01961>}他們的父親<01>或是<0176>弟兄<0251>若<03588>來<0935>(8799)與我們<0413>爭競<09001><07378>(8800)，我們就{<0413>}說<0559>(8804)：『求你們看我們的情面，施恩<02603>(8798)給這些人<0853>，因<03588>我們在爭戰<09002><04421>的時候<06256>沒有<03808>給<05414>(8804)他們<0376>留下<03947>(8804)女子為妻<0802>。這<03588>也不是<03808>你們<0859>將女子給<05414>(8804)他們<09001>的{<09003>}{<06256>}；若是你們給的，就算有罪<0816>(8799)。』」
And it shall be, when their fathers<01> or their brethren<0251> come<0935>(8799) unto us to complain<07378>(8800), that we will say<0559>(8804) unto them, Be favourable<02603>(8798) unto them for our sakes: because we reserved<03947>(8804) not to each man<0376> his wife<0802> in the war<04421>: for ye did not give<05414>(8804) unto them at this time<06256>, that ye should be guilty<0816>(8799). {Be favourable...: or, Gratify us in them}
23 於是便雅憫<01144>人<01121>照樣<03651>而行<06213>(8799)，按著他們的數目<09001><04557>從<04480>跳舞的女子中<02342>(8789){<0834>}搶去<01497>(8804)為<05375>(8799)妻<0802>，就回<07725>(8799){<0413>}自己的地業<05159>去<03212>(8799)，又重修<01129>(8799){<0853>}城邑<05892>居住<03427>(8799){<09002>}。
And the children<01121> of Benjamin<01144> did so<06213>(8799), and took<05375>(8799) them wives<0802>, according to their number<04557>, of them that danced<02342>(8789), whom they caught<01497>(8804): and they went<03212>(8799) and returned<07725>(8799) unto their inheritance<05159>, and repaired<01129>(8799) the cities<05892>, and dwelt<03427>(8799) in them.
24 當<01931>時<09002><06256>以色列<03478>人<01121>離<01980>(8691)開那裡<04480><08033>，各<0376>歸本支派<09001><07626>、本宗族<09001><04940>、{<0376>}本地業<09001><05159>去了<03318>(8799){<04480>}{<08033>}。
And the children<01121> of Israel<03478> departed<01980>(8691) thence at that time<06256>, every man<0376> to his tribe<07626> and to his family<04940>, and they went out<03318>(8799) from thence every man<0376> to his inheritance<05159>.
25 那<01992>時<09002><03117>，以色列中<09002><03478>沒有<0369>王<04428>，各人<0376>任意<03477><09002><05869>而行<06213>(8799)。
In those days<03117> there was no king<04428> in Israel<03478>: every man<0376> did<06213>(8799) that which was right<03477> in his own eyes<05869>.
