4:1 {<01961>}{<09003>}{<0834>}國民<01471>盡<08552>(8804)都<03605>過了<09001><05674>(8800){<0853>}約旦河<03383>，耶和華<03068>{<0559>}{(8799)}就對<0413>約書亞<03091>說<09001><0559>(8800)：
And it came to pass, when all the people<01471> were clean<08552>(8804) passed over<05674>(8800) Jordan<03383>, that the LORD<03068> spake<0559>(8799) unto Joshua<03091>, saying<0559>(8800),
4:2 「你<09001>從<04480>民<05971>中要揀選<03947>(8798)十二個<08147><06240>人<0582>，每支派<04480><07626>一<0259>人<0376>{<0259>}{<0376>}，
Take<03947>(8798) you twelve<08147><06240> men<0582> out of the people<05971>, out of every<0259> tribe<07626> a man<0376>,
4:3 吩咐<06680>(8761)他們<0853>說<09001><0559>(8800)：『你們<09001>從這裡<04480><02088>，從約旦河<03383>中<09002><08432>、祭司<03548>腳<07272>站定<03559>(8687)的地方<04480><04673>，取<05375>(8798)十二<08147><06240>塊石頭<068>帶{<05973>}過去<05674>(8689){<0853>}，放<05117>(8689){<0853>}在<09002>你們今夜<03915>要<0834>住宿<03885>(8799)的地方<09002><04411>。』」
And command<06680>(8761) ye them, saying<0559>(8800), Take<05375>(8798) you hence out of the midst<08432> of Jordan<03383>, out of the place where the priests<03548>' feet<07272> stood<04673> firm<03559>(8687), twelve<08147><06240> stones<068>, and ye shall carry them over<05674>(8689) with you, and leave<03240>(8689) them in the lodging place<04411>, where ye shall lodge<03885>(8799) this night<03915>.
4:4 於是，約書亞<03091>將他從<04480>以色列<03478>人<01121>中所<0834>預備<03559>(8689)的那{<0413>}十二<08147><06240>個人<0376>，每支派<04480><07626>一<0259>人<0376>{<0259>}{<0376>}，都召<07121>(8799)了來。
Then Joshua<03091> called<07121>(8799) the twelve<08147><06240> men<0376>, whom he had prepared<03559>(8689) of the children<01121> of Israel<03478>, out of every<0259> tribe<07626> a man<0376>:
4:5 {<03091>}對他們<09001>說<0559>(8799)：「你們下<0413>約旦河<03383>中<08432>，過<05674>(8798)到耶和華<03068>─你們　神<0430>的約櫃<0727>前頭<09001><06440>，按著以色列<03478>人<01121>十二支派<07626>的數目<09001><04557>，每人<0376>取<07311>(8685)一塊<0259>石頭<068>扛在<05921>肩<07926>上。
And Joshua<03091> said<0559>(8799) unto them, Pass over<05674>(8798) before<06440> the ark<0727> of the LORD<03068> your God<0430> into the midst<08432> of Jordan<03383>, and take ye up<07311>(8685) every<0259> man<0376> of you a stone<068> upon his shoulder<07926>, according unto the number<04557> of the tribes<07626> of the children<01121> of Israel<03478>:
4:6 {<01961>}這些<02063>石頭在你們中間<09002><07130>可以作為<09001><04616>證據<0226>。{<03588>}日後<04279>，你們的子孫<01121>問<07592>(8799)你們說<09001><0559>(8800)：『這些<0428>石頭<068>是甚麼<04100>意思{<09001>}？』
That this may be a sign<0226> among<07130> you, that when your children<01121> ask<07592>(8799) their fathers in time to come<04279>, saying<0559>(8800), What mean ye by these stones<068>? {in time...: Heb. to morrow}
4:7 你們就對他們<09001>說<0559>(8804)：『這是<0834>因為約旦河<03383>的水<04480><04325>在耶和華<03068>的約<01285>櫃<0727>前<04480><06440>斷絕<03772>(8738)；約櫃過<09002><05674>(8800)約旦河<09002><03383>的時候，約旦河<03383>的水<04325>就斷絕了<03772>(8738)。這些<0428>石頭<068>要作<01961>以色列<03478>人<09001><01121>永遠<05704><05769>的紀念<09001><02146>。』」
Then ye shall answer<0559>(8804) them, That the waters<04325> of Jordan<03383> were cut off<03772>(8738) before<06440> the ark<0727> of the covenant<01285> of the LORD<03068>; when it passed over<05674>(8800) Jordan<03383>, the waters<04325> of Jordan<03383> were cut off<03772>(8738): and these stones<068> shall be for a memorial<02146> unto the children<01121> of Israel<03478> for<05704> ever<05769>.
4:8 以色列<03478>人<01121>就照<09003><0834>約書亞<03091>所吩咐<06680>(8765)的，按著以色列<03478>人<01121>支派<07626>的數目<09001><04557>，從約旦河<03383>中<04480><08432>取了<05375>(8799)十二<08147><06240>塊石頭<068>，都遵<09003><0834>耶和華<03068>所吩咐<01696>(8765){<0413>}約書亞<03091>的行了<06213>(8799){<03651>}。他們把石頭帶<05973>過去<05674>(8686)，到<0413>他們所住宿的地方<04411>，就放<05117>(8686)在那裡<08033>。
And the children<01121> of Israel<03478> did<06213>(8799) so as Joshua<03091> commanded<06680>(8765), and took up<05375>(8799) twelve<08147><06240> stones<068> out of the midst<08432> of Jordan<03383>, as the LORD<03068> spake<01696>(8765) unto Joshua<03091>, according to the number<04557> of the tribes<07626> of the children<01121> of Israel<03478>, and carried them over<05674>(8686) with them unto the place where they lodged<04411>, and laid them down<03240>(8686) there.
4:9 約書亞<03091>另把十二<08147><06240>塊石頭<068>立<06965>(8689)在約旦河<03383>中<09002><08432>，在<08478>抬<05375>(8802)約<01285>櫃<0727>的祭司<03548>腳<07272>站立<04673>的地方；直到<05704>今日<03117><02088>，那石頭還在<01961>那裡<08033>。
And Joshua<03091> set up<06965>(8689) twelve<08147><06240> stones<068> in the midst<08432> of Jordan<03383>, in the place where the feet<07272> of the priests<03548> which bare<05375>(8802) the ark<0727> of the covenant<01285> stood<04673>: and they are there unto this day<03117>.
4:10 抬<05375>(8802)約櫃<0727>的祭司<03548>站<05975>(8802)在約旦河<03383>中<09002><08432>，等到<05704>耶和華<03068>{<0834>}曉諭<06680>(8765){<0853>}約書亞<03091>吩咐<09001><01696>(8763){<0413>}百姓<05971>的事{<03605>}<01697>辦完了<08552>(8800)，是照<09003><03605>摩西<04872>所<0834>吩咐<06680>(8765){<0853>}約書亞<03091>的一切話。於是百姓<05971>急速<04116>(8762)過去了<05674>(8799)。
For the priests<03548> which bare<05375>(8802) the ark<0727> stood<05975>(8802) in the midst<08432> of Jordan<03383>, until every thing<01697> was finished<08552>(8800) that the LORD<03068> commanded<06680>(8765) Joshua<03091> to speak<01696>(8763) unto the people<05971>, according to all that Moses<04872> commanded<06680>(8765) Joshua<03091>: and the people<05971> hasted<04116>(8762) and passed over<05674>(8799).
4:11 {<01961>}{<09003>}{<0834>}眾<03605>百姓<05971>盡<08552>(8804)都過了<09001><05674>(8800)河，耶和華<03068>的約櫃<0727>和祭司<03548>就在百姓<05971>面前<09001><06440>過去<05674>(8799)。
And it came to pass, when all the people<05971> were clean<08552>(8804) passed over<05674>(8800), that the ark<0727> of the LORD<03068> passed over<05674>(8799), and the priests<03548>, in the presence<06440> of the people<05971>.
4:12 流便<07205>人<01121>、迦得<01410>人<01121>、瑪拿西<04519>半<02677>支派<07626>的人都照<09003><0834>摩西<04872>所吩咐<01696>(8765)他們<0413>的，帶著兵器<02571>在以色列<03478>人<01121>前頭<09001><06440>過去<05674>(8799)。
And the children<01121> of Reuben<07205>, and the children<01121> of Gad<01410>, and half<02677> the tribe<07626> of Manasseh<04519>, passed over<05674>(8799) armed<02571> before<06440> the children<01121> of Israel<03478>, as Moses<04872> spake<01696>(8765) unto them:
4:13 約有四萬<09003><0705><0505>人都準備<02502>(8803)打仗<06635>，在耶和華<03068>面前<09001><06440>過去<05674>(8804)，到<0413>耶利哥<03405>的平原<06160>，等候上陣<09001><04421>。
About forty<0705> thousand<0505> prepared<02502>(8803) for war<06635> passed over<05674>(8804) before<06440> the LORD<03068> unto battle<04421>, to the plains<06160> of Jericho<03405>. {prepared: or, ready armed}
4:14 當那日<09002><03117><01931>，耶和華<03068>使<0853>約書亞<03091>在以色列<03478>眾人<03605>眼前<09002><05869>尊大<01431>(8765)。在他平生<02416>的日子<03605><03117>，百姓敬畏<03372>(8799)他<0853>，像<09003><0834>從前敬畏<03372>(8804){<0853>}摩西<04872>一樣。
On that day<03117> the LORD<03068> magnified<01431>(8765) Joshua<03091> in the sight<05869> of all Israel<03478>; and they feared<03372>(8799) him, as they feared<03372>(8804) Moses<04872>, all the days<03117> of his life<02416>.
4:15 耶和華<03068>曉諭<0559>(8799){<0413>}約書亞<03091>說<09001><0559>(8800)：
And the LORD<03068> spake<0559>(8799) unto Joshua<03091>, saying<0559>(8800),
4:16 「你吩咐<06680>(8761){<0853>}抬<05375>(8802)法<05715>櫃<0727>的祭司<03548>從<04480>約旦河<03383>裡上來<05927>(8799)。」
Command<06680>(8761) the priests<03548> that bear<05375>(8802) the ark<0727> of the testimony<05715>, that they come up<05927>(8799) out of Jordan<03383>.
4:17 約書亞<03091>就吩咐<06680>(8762){<0853>}祭司<03548>說<09001><0559>(8800)：「你們從<04480>約旦河<03383>裡上來<05927>(8798)。」
Joshua<03091> therefore commanded<06680>(8762) the priests<03548>, saying<0559>(8800), Come ye up<05927>(8798) out of Jordan<03383>.
4:18 {<01961>}抬<05375>(8802)耶和華<03068>約<01285>櫃<0727>的祭司<03548>從約旦河<03383>裡<04480><08432>上來<09003><05927>(8800)，{<03548>}腳<07272>掌<03709>剛落<05423>(8738){<0413>}旱地<02724>，約旦河<03383>的水<04325>就流<07725>(8799)到原處<09001><04725>，仍舊<09003><08543><08032>漲<03212>(8799)過<05921>兩岸<03605><01415>。
And it came to pass, when the priests<03548> that bare<05375>(8802) the ark<0727> of the covenant<01285> of the LORD<03068> were come up<05927>(8800) out of the midst<08432> of Jordan<03383>, and the soles<03709> of the priests<03548>' feet<07272> were lifted up<05423>(8738) unto the dry land<02724>, that the waters<04325> of Jordan<03383> returned<07725>(8799) unto their place<04725>, and flowed<03212>(8799) over all his banks<01415>, as<08543> they did before<08032>. {lifted...: Heb. plucked up} {flowed: Heb. went}
4:19 正<07223>月<09001><02320>初十日<09002><06218>，百姓<05971>從<04480>約旦河<03383>裡上來<05927>(8804)，就在吉甲<09002><01537>，在耶利哥<03405>的東<04217>邊<09002><07097>安營<02583>(8799)。
And the people<05971> came up<05927>(8804) out of Jordan<03383> on the tenth<06218> day of the first<07223> month<02320>, and encamped<02583>(8799) in Gilgal<01537>, in the east<04217> border<07097> of Jericho<03405>.
4:20 他們從<04480>約旦河<03383>中取來<03947>(8804){<0853>}的<0834>那<0428>十二<08147><06240>塊石頭<068>，約書亞<03091>就立<06965>(8689)在吉甲<09002><01537>，
And those twelve<08147><06240> stones<068>, which they took out<03947>(8804) of Jordan<03383>, did Joshua<03091> pitch<06965>(8689) in Gilgal<01537>.
4:21 {<0559>}{(8799)}對<0413>以色列<03478>人<01121>說<09001><0559>(8800)：「{<0834>}日後<04279>你們的子孫<01121>問<07592>(8799){<0853>}他們的父親<01>說<09001><0559>(8800)：『這些<0428>石頭<068>是甚麼<04100>意思？』
And he spake<0559>(8799) unto the children<01121> of Israel<03478>, saying<0559>(8800), When your children<01121> shall ask<07592>(8799) their fathers<01> in time to come<04279>, saying<0559>(8800), What mean these stones<068>? {in time...: Heb. to morrow}
4:22 你們就告訴<03045>(8689){<0853>}他們<01121>說<09001><0559>(8800)：『以色列人<03478>曾走乾地<09002><03004>過<05674>(8804){<0853>}這<02088>約旦河<03383>；
Then ye shall let your children<01121> know<03045>(8689), saying<0559>(8800), Israel<03478> came over<05674>(8804) this Jordan<03383> on dry land<03004>.
4:23 因為<0834>耶和華<03068>─你們的　神<0430>在你們前面<04480><06440>使<0853>約旦河<03383>的水<04325>乾了<03001>(8689)，等著<05704>你們過來<05674>(8800)，就如<09003><0834>耶和華<03068>─你們的　神<0430>從前{<06213>}{(8804)}在我們前面<04480><06440>使紅<05488>海<09001><03220>乾了<03001>(8689){<0834>}，等著<05704>我們過來<05674>(8800)一樣，
For the LORD<03068> your God<0430> dried up<03001>(8689) the waters<04325> of Jordan<03383> from before<06440> you, until ye were passed over<05674>(8800), as the LORD<03068> your God<0430> did<06213>(8804) to the Red<05488> sea<03220>, which he dried up<03001>(8689) from before<06440> us, until we were gone over<05674>(8800):
4:24 要使<09001><04616>地上<0776>萬<03605>民<05971>都知道<03045>(8800)，{<0853>}耶和華<03068>的手<03027>{<03588>}大有<01931>能力<02389>，也要使<09001><04616>你們永遠<03605><03117>敬畏<03372>(8804){<0853>}耶和華<03068>─你們的　神<0430>。』」
That all the people<05971> of the earth<0776> might know<03045>(8800) the hand<03027> of the LORD<03068>, that it is mighty<02389>: that ye might fear<03372>(8804) the LORD<03068> your God<0430> for ever<03117>. {for ever: Heb. all days}
