1:1 {<01961>}耶和華<03068>的僕人<05650>摩西<04872>死了<04194>以後<0310>，耶和華<03068>曉諭<0559>(8799){<0413>}摩西<04872>的幫手<08334>(8764)，嫩<05126>的兒子<01121>約書亞<03091>，說<09001><0559>(8800)：
Now after<0310> the death<04194> of Moses<04872> the servant<05650> of the LORD<03068> it came to pass, that the LORD<03068> spake<0559>(8799) unto Joshua<03091> the son<01121> of Nun<05126>, Moses<04872>' minister<08334>(8764), saying<0559>(8800),
1:2 「我的僕人<05650>摩西<04872>死了<04191>(8804)。現在<06258>你<0859>要起來<06965>(8798)，和眾<03605>{<02088>}百姓<05971>過<05674>(8798){<0853>}這<02088>約旦河<03383>，往<0413>我<0595>所<0834>要賜<05414>(8802)給<09001>以色列<03478>人<09001><01121>的地<0776>去。
Moses<04872> my servant<05650> is dead<04191>(8804); now therefore arise<06965>(8798), go over<05674>(8798) this Jordan<03383>, thou, and all this people<05971>, unto the land<0776> which I do give<05414>(8802) to them, even to the children<01121> of Israel<03478>.
1:3 凡<03605>你們腳<07272>掌<03709>所<0834>踏<01869>(8799)之地<04725>{<09002>}，我都照著我所<09003><0834>應許<01696>(8765){<0413>}摩西<04872>的話賜<05414>(8804)給你們<09001>了。
Every place<04725> that the sole<03709> of your foot<07272> shall tread upon<01869>(8799), that have I given<05414>(8804) unto you, as I said<01696>(8765) unto Moses<04872>.
1:4 從曠野<04480><04057>和這<02088>黎巴嫩<03844>，直到<05704>幼發拉底<06578>{<05104>}大<01419>河<05104>，赫人<02850>的全<03605>地<0776>，又到<05704>大<01419>海<03220>日<08121>落<03996>之處，都要作<01961>你們的境界<01366>。
From the wilderness<04057> and this Lebanon<03844> even unto the great<01419> river<05104>, the river<05104> Euphrates<06578>, all the land<0776> of the Hittites<02850>, and unto the great<01419> sea<03220> toward the going down<03996> of the sun<08121>, shall be your coast<01366>.
1:5 你平生<02416>{<03605>}的日子<03117>，必無<03808>一人<0376>能在你面前<09001><06440>站立得住<03320>(8691)。我怎樣與<05973>摩西<04872>同在<01961>，也必照樣<09003><0834>與你<05973>同在<01961>；我必不<03808>撇下你<07503>(8686)，也不<03808>丟棄你<05800>(8799)。
There shall not any man<0376> be able to stand<03320>(8691) before<06440> thee all the days<03117> of thy life<02416>: as I was with Moses<04872>, so I will be with thee: I will not fail<07503>(8686) thee, nor forsake<05800>(8799) thee.
1:6 你當剛強<0553>(8798)壯膽<02388>(8798)！因為<03588>你必<0859>使{<0853>}這<02088>百姓<05971>承受<05157>(8686){<0853>}那地<0776>為業，就是<0834>我向他們列祖<09001><01>起誓<07650>(8738)應許賜<09001><05414>(8800)給他們<09001>的地。
Be strong<02388>(8798) and of a good courage<0553>(8798): for unto this people<05971> shalt thou divide for an inheritance<05157>(8686) the land<0776>, which I sware<07650>(8738) unto their fathers<01> to give<05414>(8800) them. {unto this...: or, thou shalt cause this people to inherit the land, etc}
1:7 只要<07535>剛強<0553>(8798)，大大<03966>壯膽<02388>(8798)，謹守<09001><08104>(8800)遵行<09001><06213>(8800)我僕人<05650>摩西<04872>所<0834>吩咐你<06680>(8765)的一切<09003><03605>律法<08451>，不可<0408>偏離<05493>(8799){<04480>}左<08040>右<03225>，使<09001><09001><04616>你無論往哪裡<09002><03605><0834>去<03212>(8799)，都可以順利<07919>(8686)。
Only be thou strong<02388>(8798) and very<03966> courageous<0553>(8798), that thou mayest observe<08104>(8800) to do<06213>(8800) according to all the law<08451>, which Moses<04872> my servant<05650> commanded<06680>(8765) thee: turn<05493>(8799) not from it to the right hand<03225> or to the left<08040>, that thou mayest prosper<07919>(8686) whithersoever thou goest<03212>(8799). {prosper: or, do wisely}
1:8 這<02088>律法<08451>書<05612>不可<03808>離開<04185>(8799)你的口<04480><06310>，總要晝<03119>夜<03915>思想<01897>(8804){<09002>}，好使<09001><04616>你謹守<08104>(8799)遵行<09001><06213>(8800)這書上<09002>所寫的<03789>(8803)一切話<09003><03605>。如此<03588><0227>，{<0853>}你的道路<01870>就可以亨通<06743>(8686)，{<0227>}凡事順利<07919>(8686)。
This book<05612> of the law<08451> shall not depart<04185>(8799) out of thy mouth<06310>; but thou shalt meditate<01897>(8804) therein day<03119> and night<03915>, that thou mayest observe<08104>(8799) to do<06213>(8800) according to all that is written<03789>(8803) therein: for then thou shalt make<06743><00> thy way<01870> prosperous<06743>(8686), and then thou shalt have good success<07919>(8686). {have...: or, do wisely}
1:9 我豈沒有<03808>吩咐你<06680>(8765)嗎？你當剛強<0553>(8798)壯膽<02388>(8798)！不要<0408>懼怕<06206>(8799)，也不要<0408>驚惶<02865>(8735)；因為<03588>你無論往哪裡<09002><03605><0834>去<03212>(8799)，耶和華<03068>─你的上帝<0430>必與你同在<05973>。」
Have not I commanded<06680>(8765) thee? Be strong<02388>(8798) and of a good courage<0553>(8798); be not afraid<06206>(8799), neither be thou dismayed<02865>(8735): for the LORD<03068> thy God<0430> is with thee whithersoever thou goest<03212>(8799).
1:10 於是，約書亞<03091>吩咐<06680>(8762){<0853>}百姓<05971>的官長<07860>(8802)說<09001><0559>(8800)：
Then Joshua<03091> commanded<06680>(8762) the officers<07860>(8802) of the people<05971>, saying<0559>(8800),
1:11 「你們要走<05674>(8798)遍<09002><07130>營<04264>中，吩咐<06680>(8761){<0853>}百姓<05971>說<09001><0559>(8800)：『當預備<03559>(8685){<09001>}食物<06720>；因為<03588>三<07969>日<03117>之內<09002><05750>你們<0859>要過<05674>(8802){<0853>}這<02088>約旦河<03383>，進去<09001><0935>(8800)得<09001><03423>(8800){<0853>}耶和華<03068>─你們上帝<0430>{<0834>}賜<05414>(8802)你們<09001>為業<09001><03423>(8800)之地<0776>。』」
Pass<05674>(8798) through<07130> the host<04264>, and command<06680>(8761) the people<05971>, saying<0559>(8800), Prepare<03559>(8685) you victuals<06720>; for within three<07969> days<03117> ye shall pass over<05674>(8802) this Jordan<03383>, to go in<0935>(8800) to possess<03423>(8800) the land<0776>, which the LORD<03068> your God<0430> giveth<05414>(8802) you to possess<03423>(8800) it.
1:12 約書亞<03091>{<0559>}{(8804)}對流便人<09001><07206>、迦得人<09001><01425>，和{<09001>}瑪拿西<04519>半<02677>支派<07626>的人說<09001><0559>(8800)：
And to the Reubenites<07206>, and to the Gadites<01425>, and to half<02677> the tribe<07626> of Manasseh<04519>, spake<0559>(8804) Joshua<03091>, saying<0559>(8800),
1:13 「你們要追念<02142>(8800){<0853>}耶和華<03068>的僕人<05650>摩西<04872>所<0834>吩咐<06680>(8765)你們<0853>的話<01697>說<09001><0559>(8800)：『耶和華<03068>─你們的上帝<0430>使你們<09001>得享平安<05117>(8688)，也必將<0853>這<02088>地<0776>賜<05414>(8804)給你們<09001>。』
Remember<02142>(8800) the word<01697> which Moses<04872> the servant<05650> of the LORD<03068> commanded<06680>(8765) you, saying<0559>(8800), The LORD<03068> your God<0430> hath given you rest<05117>(8688), and hath given<05414>(8804) you this land<0776>.
1:14 你們的妻子<0802>、孩子<02945>，和牲畜<04735>都可以留<03427>(8799)在<09002>約旦河<03383>東<05676>、摩西<04872>所<0834>給<05414>(8804)你們<09001>的地<09002><0776>；但你們<0859>中間一切<03605>大能的<01368>勇士<02428>都要帶著兵器<02571>在你們的弟兄<0251>前面<09001><06440>過去<05674>(8799)，幫助<05826>(8804)他們<0853>，
Your wives<0802>, your little ones<02945>, and your cattle<04735>, shall remain<03427>(8799) in the land<0776> which Moses<04872> gave<05414>(8804) you on this side<05676> Jordan<03383>; but ye shall pass<05674>(8799) before<06440> your brethren<0251> armed<02571>, all the mighty<01368> men of valour<02428>, and help<05826>(8804) them; {armed: Heb. marshalled by five}
1:15 等到<05704>{<0834>}耶和華<03068>使你們的弟兄<09001><0251>像你們一樣<09003>得享平安<05117>(8686)，並且<01571>{<01992>}得著<03423>(8804){<0853>}耶和華<03068>─你們上帝<0430>所<0834>賜<05414>(8802)他們<09001>為業之地<0776>，那時才可以回<07725>(8804){<09001>}你們所得<03425>之地<0776>，承受<03423>(8804)為業<0853>，就是耶和華<03068>的僕人<05650>摩西<04872>在<09002>約旦河<03383>東<05676>、向日<08121>出<04217>之地所<0834>給<05414>(8804)你們<09001>的。」
Until the LORD<03068> have given<05117><00> your brethren<0251> rest<05117>(8686), as he hath given you, and they also have possessed<03423>(8804) the land<0776> which the LORD<03068> your God<0430> giveth<05414>(8802) them: then ye shall return<07725>(8804) unto the land<0776> of your possession<03425>, and enjoy<03423>(8804) it, which Moses<04872> the LORD'S<03068> servant<05650> gave<05414>(8804) you on this side<05676> Jordan<03383> toward the sunrising<04217><08121>.
1:16 他們回答<06030>(8799){<0853>}約書亞<03091>說<09001><0559>(8800)：「你所<03605><0834>吩咐我們<06680>(8765)行的，我們都必行<06213>(8799)；你所<0834>差遣我們<07971>(8799)去的{<0413>}{<03605>}，我們都必去<03212>(8799)。
And they answered<06030>(8799) Joshua<03091>, saying<0559>(8800), All that thou commandest<06680>(8765) us we will do<06213>(8799), and whithersoever<0834> thou sendest<07971>(8799) us, we will go<03212>(8799).
1:17 我們從前在一切事上怎樣<09003><03605><0834>聽從<08085>(8804){<0413>}摩西<04872>，現在也必照樣<03651>聽從<08085>(8799)你<0413>；惟願<07535>耶和華<03068>─你的上帝<0430>與你同在<05973>，像與<05973>摩西<04872>同在<01961>一樣<09003><0834>。
According as we hearkened<08085>(8804) unto Moses<04872> in all things, so will we hearken<08085>(8799) unto thee: only the LORD<03068> thy God<0430> be with thee, as he was with Moses<04872>.
1:18 無論甚麼<03605><0834>人<0376>違背<04784>(8686){<0853>}你的命令<06310>，不<03808>聽從<08085>(8799){<0853>}你所<0834>吩咐他<06680>(8762)的一切<09001><03605>話<01697>，就必治死<04191>(8714)他。你只要<07535>剛強<0553>(8798)壯膽<02388>(8798)！」
Whosoever<0376> he be that doth rebel<04784>(8686) against thy commandment<06310>, and will not hearken<08085>(8799) unto thy words<01697> in all that thou commandest<06680>(8762) him, he shall be put to death<04191>(8714): only be strong<02388>(8798) and of a good courage<0553>(8798).
