20:1 「{<03588>}你出去<03318>(8799)與<05921>仇敵<0341>(8802)爭戰<09001><04421>的時候，看見<07200>(8804)馬匹<05483>、車輛<07393>，並有比你<04480>多<07227>的人民<05971>，不要<03808>怕<03372>(8799)他們<04480>，因為<03588>領你<05927>(8688)出埃及<04714>地<04480><0776>的耶和華<03068>─你　神<0430>與你<05973>同在。
When thou goest out<03318>(8799) to battle<04421> against thine enemies<0341>(8802), and seest<07200>(8804) horses<05483>, and chariots<07393>, and a people<05971> more<07227> than thou, be not afraid<03372>(8799) of them: for the LORD<03068> thy God<0430> is with thee, which brought thee up<05927>(8688) out of the land<0776> of Egypt<04714>.
20:2 {<01961>}{(8799)}你們將要上<09003><07126>(8800){<0413>}陣<04421>的時候，祭司<03548>要到<05066>(8738){<0413>}百姓<05971>面前宣告<01696>(8765)
And it shall be, when ye are come nigh<07126>(8800) unto the battle<04421>, that the priest<03548> shall approach<05066>(8738) and speak<01696>(8765) unto the people<05971>,
20:3 說<0559>(8804){<0413>}：『以色列人<03478>哪，你們當聽<08085>(8798)，你們<0859>今日<03117>將要<07131>與<05921>仇敵<0341>(8802)爭戰<09001><04421>，{<03824>}不要<0408>膽怯<07401>(8735)，不要<0408>懼怕<03372>(8799){<0408>}戰兢<02648>(8799)，也不要<0408>因他們<04480><06440>驚恐<06206>(8799)；
And shall say<0559>(8804) unto them, Hear<08085>(8798), O Israel<03478>, ye approach<07131> this day<03117> unto battle<04421> against your enemies<0341>(8802): let not your hearts<03824> faint<07401>(8735), fear<03372>(8799) not, and do not tremble<02648>(8799), neither be ye terrified<06206>(8799) because<06440> of them; {faint: Heb. be tender} {tremble: Heb. make haste}
20:4 因為<03588>耶和華<03068>─你們的　神<0430>與你們<05973>同去<01980>(8802)，要為你們<09001>與<05973>仇敵<0341>(8802)爭戰<09001><03898>(8736)，拯救<09001><03467>(8687)你們<0853>。』
For the LORD<03068> your God<0430> is he that goeth<01980>(8802) with you, to fight<03898>(8736) for you against your enemies<0341>(8802), to save<03467>(8687) you.
20:5 官長<07860>(8802)也要對<0413>百姓<05971>宣告<01696>(8765)說<09001><0559>(8800)：『誰<04310>{<0376>}{<0834>}建造<01129>(8804){<02319>}房屋<01004>，尚未<03808>奉獻<02596>(8804)，他可以回<07725>(8799)家<09001><01004>去<03212>(8799)，恐怕<06435>他陣<09002><04421>亡<04191>(8799)，別<0312>人<0376>去奉獻<02596>(8799)。
And the officers<07860>(8802) shall speak<01696>(8765) unto the people<05971>, saying<0559>(8800), What man<0376> is there that hath built<01129>(8804) a new<02319> house<01004>, and hath not dedicated<02596>(8804) it? let him go<03212>(8799) and return<07725>(8799) to his house<01004>, lest he die<04191>(8799) in the battle<04421>, and another<0312> man<0376> dedicate<02596>(8799) it.
20:6 誰<04310>{<0376>}{<0834>}種<05193>(8804)葡萄園<03754>，尚未<03808>用所結的果子<02490>(8765)，他可以回<07725>(8799)家<09001><01004>去<03212>(8799)，恐怕<06435>他陣<09002><04421>亡<04191>(8799)，別<0312>人<0376>去用<02490>(8762)。
And what man<0376> is he that hath planted<05193>(8804) a vineyard<03754>, and hath not yet eaten<02490>(8765) of it? let him also go<03212>(8799) and return<07725>(8799) unto his house<01004>, lest he die<04191>(8799) in the battle<04421>, and another<0312> man<0376> eat<02490>(8762) of it. {eaten...: Heb. made it common}
20:7 誰<04310>{<0376>}{<0834>}聘定了<0781>(8765)妻<0802>，尚未<03808>迎娶<03947>(8804)，他可以回<07725>(8799)家<09001><01004>去<03212>(8799)，恐怕<06435>他陣<09002><04421>亡<04191>(8799)，別<0312>人<0376>去娶<03947>(8799)。』
And what man<0376> is there that hath betrothed<0781>(8765) a wife<0802>, and hath not taken<03947>(8804) her? let him go<03212>(8799) and return<07725>(8799) unto his house<01004>, lest he die<04191>(8799) in the battle<04421>, and another<0312> man<0376> take<03947>(8799) her.
20:8 官長<07860>(8802)又<03254>(8804)要對<0413>百姓<05971>宣告<09001><01696>(8763)說<0559>(8804)：『誰<04310>{<0376>}{<0834>}懼怕<03373>膽怯<07390><03824>，他可以回<07725>(8799)家<09001><01004>去<03212>(8799)，恐怕<03808>{<0853>}他弟兄<0251>的心<03824>消化<04549>(8735)，和他一樣<09003><03824>。』
And the officers<07860>(8802) shall speak<01696>(8763) further<03254>(8804) unto the people<05971>, and they shall say<0559>(8804), What man<0376> is there that is fearful<03373> and fainthearted<07390><03824>? let him go<03212>(8799) and return<07725>(8799) unto his house<01004>, lest his brethren's<0251> heart<03824> faint<04549>(8735) as well as his heart<03824>. {faint: Heb. melt}
20:9 {<01961>}官長<07860>(8802)對<0413>百姓<05971>宣告<09001><01696>(8763)完了<09003><03615>(8763)，就當派<06485>(8804)軍<06635>長<08269>率領<09002><07218>他們<05971>。
And it shall be, when the officers<07860>(8802) have made an end<03615>(8763) of speaking<01696>(8763) unto the people<05971>, that they shall make<06485>(8804) captains<08269> of the armies<06635> to lead<07218> the people<05971>. {to lead...: Heb. to be in the head of the people}
20:10 「{<03588>}你臨<07126>(8799)近<0413>一座城<05892>、要攻打<09001><03898>(8736){<05921>}的時候，先要對<0413>城裡的民宣告<07121>(8804)和睦<09001><07965>的話。
When thou comest nigh<07126>(8799) unto a city<05892> to fight<03898>(8736) against it, then proclaim<07121>(8804) peace<07965> unto it.
20:11 {<01961>}{(8804)}他們若<0518>以和睦<07965>的話回答你<06030>(8799)，給你<09001>開了<06605>(8804)城，{<01961>}城裡<09002>所有的<03605>{<04672>}{(8737)}人<05971>都要<01961>給你<09001>效勞<09001><04522>，服事你<05647>(8804)；
And it shall be, if it make thee answer<06030>(8799) of peace<07965>, and open<06605>(8804) unto thee, then it shall be, that all the people<05971> that is found<04672>(8737) therein shall be tributaries<04522> unto thee, and they shall serve<05647>(8804) thee.
20:12 若<0518>不肯<03808>與你<05973>和好<07999>(8686)，反要與你<05973>打<06213>(8804)仗<04421>，你就要圍困<06696>(8804)那城<05921>。
And if it will make no peace<07999>(8686) with thee, but will make<06213>(8804) war<04421> against thee, then thou shalt besiege<06696>(8804) it:
20:13 耶和華<03068>─你的　神<0430>把城交付<05414>(8804)你手<09002><03027>，你就要用<09001><06310>刀<02719>殺<05221>(8689)盡<03605>{<0853>}這城的男丁<02138>。
And when the LORD<03068> thy God<0430> hath delivered<05414>(8804) it into thine hands<03027>, thou shalt smite<05221>(8689) every male<02138> thereof with the edge<06310> of the sword<02719>:
20:14 惟有<07535>婦女<0802>、孩子<02945>、牲畜<0929>，和{<03605>}{<0834>}{<01961>}城內<09002><05892>一切<03605>的財物<07998>，你可以取為自己的<09001>掠物<0962>(8799)。耶和華<03068>─你　神<0430>把<0853>你仇敵<0341>(8802)的<0834>財物<07998>賜<05414>(8804)給你<09001>，你可以吃用<0398>(8804)。
But the women<0802>, and the little ones<02945>, and the cattle<0929>, and all that is in the city<05892>, even all the spoil<07998> thereof, shalt thou take<0962>(8799) unto thyself; and thou shalt eat<0398>(8804) the spoil<07998> of thine enemies<0341>(8802), which the LORD<03068> thy God<0430> hath given<05414>(8804) thee. {take: Heb. spoil}
20:15 離你<04480>甚<03966>遠的<07350>各<09001><03605>城<05892>，{<0834>}不是<03808>這些<0428>國民<01471>的{<02007>}城<04480><05892>，你都要這樣<03651>待<06213>(8799)他。
Thus shalt thou do<06213>(8799) unto all the cities<05892> which are very<03966> far off<07350> from thee, which<02007> are not of the cities<05892> of these nations<01471>.
20:16 但<07535>這些<0428>國民<05971>的城<04480><05892>，耶和華<03068>─你　神<0430>既<0834>賜<05414>(8802)你<09001>為業<05159>，其中凡<03605>有氣息的<05397>，一個不可<03808>存留<02421>(8762)；
But of the cities<05892> of these people<05971>, which the LORD<03068> thy God<0430> doth give<05414>(8802) thee for an inheritance<05159>, thou shalt save alive<02421>(8762) nothing that breatheth<05397>:
20:17 只要<03588>照<09003><0834>耶和華<03068>─你　神<0430>所吩咐的<06680>(8765)將這赫人<02850>、亞摩利人<0567>、迦南人<03669>、比利洗人<06522>、希未人<02340>、耶布斯人<02983>都滅絕<02763>(8686)淨盡<02763>(8687)，
But thou shalt utterly<02763>(8687) destroy<02763>(8686) them; namely , the Hittites<02850>, and the Amorites<0567>, the Canaanites<03669>, and the Perizzites<06522>, the Hivites<02340>, and the Jebusites<02983>; as the LORD<03068> thy God<0430> hath commanded<06680>(8765) thee:
20:18 免得<03808>他們教導<03925>(8762)你們<0853>學習<09001><06213>(8800)一切<09003><03605>可憎惡的事<08441>，就是<0834>他們向自己神<09001><0430>所行的<06213>(8804)，以致<09001><04616><0834>你們得罪<02398>(8804)耶和華<09001><03068>─你們的　神<0430>。
That they teach<03925>(8762) you not to do<06213>(8800) after all their abominations<08441>, which they have done<06213>(8804) unto their gods<0430>; so should ye sin<02398>(8804) against the LORD<03068> your God<0430>.
20:19 「你若<03588>許久<07227><03117>圍困<06696>(8799){<0413>}、攻打<09001><03898>(8736){<05921>}所要取的<09001><08610>(8800)一座城<05892>，就不可<03808>舉斧子<01631>{<05921>}砍<09001><05080>(8800)壞<07843>(8686){<0853>}樹木<06086>；因為<03588>你可以吃<0398>(8799)那樹上的果子<04480>，不可<03808>砍伐<03772>(8799){<0853>}。田間<07704>的樹木<06086>豈是<03588>人<0120>，叫<09001><0935>(8800)你<04480><06440>糟蹋{<09002>}{<04692>}嗎？
When thou shalt besiege<06696>(8799) a city<05892> a long<07227> time<03117>, in making war<03898>(8736) against it to take<08610>(8800) it, thou shalt not destroy<07843>(8686) the trees<06086> thereof by forcing<05080>(8800) an axe<01631> against them: for thou mayest eat<0398>(8799) of them, and thou shalt not cut them down<03772>(8799) (for the tree<06086> of the field<07704> is man's<0120> life ) to employ<0935>(8800) them in the siege<06440><04692>: {for the...: or, for, O man, the tree of the field is to be employed in the siege} {to employ...: Heb. to go from before thee}
20:20 惟獨<07535>{<06086>}你所<0834>知道<03045>(8799){<03588>}不<03808>是<01931>結果子<03978>的樹木<06086>可以毀壞<07843>(8686){<0853>}、砍伐<03772>(8804)，用以修築<01129>(8804)營壘<04692>，攻擊<05921>那<0834><01931>與你<05973>打<06213>(8802)仗<04421>的城<05892>，直到<05704>攻塌了<03381>(8800)。」
Only the trees<06086> which thou knowest<03045>(8799) that they be not trees<06086> for meat<03978>, thou shalt destroy<07843>(8686) and cut them down<03772>(8804); and thou shalt build<01129>(8804) bulwarks<04692> against the city<05892> that maketh<06213>(8802) war<04421> with thee, until it be subdued<03381>(8800). {it...: Heb. it come down}
