20 正<07223>月<09002><02320>間，以色列<03478><01121>全<03605>會眾<05712>到了<0935>(8799)尋<06790>的曠野<04057>，{<05971>}就住<03427>(8799)在加低斯<09002><06946>。米利暗<04813>死<04191>(8799)在那裡<08033>，就葬<06912>(8735)在那裡<08033>。
Then came<0935>(8799) the children<01121> of Israel<03478>, even the whole congregation<05712>, into the desert<04057> of Zin<06790> in the first<07223> month<02320>: and the people<05971> abode<03427>(8799) in Kadesh<06946>; and Miriam<04813> died<04191>(8799) there, and was buried<06912>(8735) there.
2 會眾<09001><05712>沒<03808>有<01961>(8804)水<04325>喝，就聚集<06950>(8735)攻擊<05921>摩西<04872>、{<05921>}亞倫<0175>。
And there was no water<04325> for the congregation<05712>: and they gathered<06950>(8735) themselves together against Moses<04872> and against Aaron<0175>.
3 百姓<05971>{<0559>}{(8799)}向<05973>摩西<04872>爭鬧<07378>(8799)說<09001><0559>(8800)：「我們的弟兄<0251>曾死<09002><01478>(8800)在耶和華<03068>面前<09001><06440>，我們恨不得<03863>與他們同死<01478>(8804)。
And the people<05971> chode<07378>(8799) with Moses<04872>, and spake<0559>(8799), saying<0559>(8800), Would God that<03863> we had died<01478>(8804) when our brethren<0251> died<01478>(8800) before<06440> the LORD<03068>!
4 你們為何<09001><04100>把<0853>耶和華<03068>的會眾<06951>領<0935>(8689)到<0413>這<02088>曠野<04057>、使我們<0587>和牲畜<01165>都死<09001><04191>(8800)在這裡<08033>呢？
And why have ye brought up<0935>(8689) the congregation<06951> of the LORD<03068> into this wilderness<04057>, that we and our cattle<01165> should die<04191>(8800) there?
5 你們為何<09001><04100>逼著我們出<05927>(8689)埃及<04480><04714>、領<09001><0935>(8687)我們<0853>到<0413>這<02088>壞<07451>地方<04725>呢？這地方<04725>不好<03808>撒種<02233>，也沒有無花果樹<08384>、葡萄樹<01612>、石榴樹<07416>，又沒有<0369>水<04325>喝<09001><08354>(8800)。」
And wherefore have ye made us to come up<05927>(8689) out of Egypt<04714>, to bring<0935>(8687) us in unto this evil<07451> place<04725>? it is no place<04725> of seed<02233>, or of figs<08384>, or of vines<01612>, or of pomegranates<07416>; neither is there any water<04325> to drink<08354>(8800).
6 摩西<04872>、亞倫<0175>離開<0935>(8799)會眾<06951>{<04480>}{<06440>}，到<0413>會<04150>幕<0168>門口<06607>，俯伏<05307>(8799)在<05921>地<06440>；耶和華<03068>的榮光<03519>向他們<0413>顯現<07200>(8735)。
And Moses<04872> and Aaron<0175> went<0935>(8799) from the presence<06440> of the assembly<06951> unto the door<06607> of the tabernacle<0168> of the congregation<04150>, and they fell<05307>(8799) upon their faces<06440>: and the glory<03519> of the LORD<03068> appeared<07200>(8735) unto them.
7 耶和華<03068>曉諭<01696>(8762){<0413>}摩西<04872>說<09001><0559>(8800)：
And the LORD<03068> spake<01696>(8762) unto Moses<04872>, saying<0559>(8800),
8 「你<0859>拿著<03947>(8798){<0853>}杖<04294>去，和你的哥哥<0251>亞倫<0175>招聚<06950>(8685){<0853>}會眾<05712>，在他們眼前<09001><05869>吩咐<01696>(8765){<0413>}磐石<05553>發出<05414>(8804)水<04325>來，水<04325>就從<04480>磐石<05553>流出<03318>(8689){<09001>}，給<0853>會眾<05712>和<0853>他們的牲畜<01165>喝<08248>(8689)。」
Take<03947>(8798) the rod<04294>, and gather<06950>(8685) thou the assembly<05712> together, thou, and Aaron<0175> thy brother<0251>, and speak<01696>(8765) ye unto the rock<05553> before their eyes<05869>; and it shall give forth<05414>(8804) his water<04325>, and thou shalt bring forth<03318>(8689) to them water<04325> out of the rock<05553>: so thou shalt give<08248><00> the congregation<05712> and their beasts<01165> drink<08248>(8689).
9 於是摩西<04872>照<09003><0834>耶和華<03068>所吩咐的<06680>(8765)，從耶和華面前<04480><09001><06440>取了<03947>(8799){<0853>}杖<04294>去。
And Moses<04872> took<03947>(8799) the rod<04294> from before<06440> the LORD<03068>, as he commanded<06680>(8765) him.
10 摩西<04872>、亞倫<0175>就招聚<06950>(8686){<0853>}會眾<06951>到<0413>磐石<05553>前<06440>。摩西說<0559>(8799){<0413>}：「你們這些背叛的人<04784>(8802){<04994>}聽<08085>(8798)我說：我為你們<09001>使水<04325>從<04480>這<02088>磐石<05553>中流出來<03318>(8686)嗎？」
And Moses<04872> and Aaron<0175> gathered<06950>(8686) the congregation<06951> together before<06440> the rock<05553>, and he said<0559>(8799) unto them, Hear<08085>(8798) now, ye rebels<04784>(8802); must we fetch<03318>(8686) you water<04325> out of this rock<05553>?
11 摩西<04872>舉<07311>(8686){<0853>}手<03027>，用杖<09002><04294>擊打<05221>(8686){<0853>}磐石<05553>兩下<06471>，就有許多<07227>水<04325>流出來<03318>(8799)，會眾<05712>和他們的牲畜<01165>都喝了<08354>(8799)。
And Moses<04872> lifted up<07311>(8686) his hand<03027>, and with his rod<04294> he smote<05221>(8686) the rock<05553> twice<06471>: and the water<04325> came out<03318>(8799) abundantly<07227>, and the congregation<05712> drank<08354>(8799), and their beasts<01165> also .
12 耶和華<03068>對<0413>摩西<04872>、{<0413>}亞倫<0175>說<0559>(8799)：「因為<03282>你們不<03808>信<0539>(8689)我<09002>，不在以色列<03478>人<01121>眼前<09001><05869>尊我為聖<09001><06942>(8687)，所以<09001><03651>你們必不得<03808>領<0935>(8686){<0853>}這<02088>會眾<06951>進<0413>我所<0834>賜<05414>(8804)給他們<09001>的地<0776>去。」
And the LORD<03068> spake<0559>(8799) unto Moses<04872> and Aaron<0175>, Because ye believed<0539>(8689) me not, to sanctify<06942>(8687) me in the eyes<05869> of the children<01121> of Israel<03478>, therefore ye shall not bring<0935>(8686) this congregation<06951> into the land<0776> which I have given<05414>(8804) them.
13 這<01992>水名叫米利巴<04809>水<04325>（米利巴就是爭鬧的意思），是因<0834>以色列<03478>人<01121>向<0853>耶和華<03068>爭鬧<07378>(8804)，耶和華就在他們<09002>面前顯為聖<06942>(8735)。
This is<01992> the water<04325> of Meribah<04809>; because the children<01121> of Israel<03478> strove<07378>(8804) with the LORD<03068>, and he was sanctified<06942>(8735) in them. {Meribah: that is, Strife}
14 摩西<04872>從加低斯<04480><06946>差遣<07971>(8799)使者<04397>去見<0413>以東<0123>王<04428>，說：「你的弟兄<0251>以色列<03478>人這樣<03541>說<0559>(8804)：『我們所<0834>遭遇<04672>(8804)的{<0853>}一切<03605>艱難<08513>，
And Moses<04872> sent<07971>(8799) messengers<04397> from Kadesh<06946> unto the king<04428> of Edom<0123>, Thus saith<0559>(8804) thy brother<0251> Israel<03478>, Thou knowest<03045>(8804) all the travail<08513> that hath befallen<04672>(8804) us: {befallen...: Heb. found us}
15 就是我們的列祖<01>下到<03381>(8799)埃及<04714>，我們在埃及<09002><04714>久<07227>{<03117>}住<03427>(8799)；埃及人<04714>惡待<07489>(8686)我們的列祖<09001><01>和我們<09001>，
How our fathers<01> went down<03381>(8799) into Egypt<04714>, and we have dwelt<03427>(8799) in Egypt<04714> a long<07227> time<03117>; and the Egyptians<04714> vexed<07489>(8686) us, and our fathers<01>:
16 我們哀求<06817>(8799){<0413>}耶和華<03068>的時候，他聽了<08085>(8799)我們的聲音<06963>，差遣<07971>(8799)使者<04397>把我們從埃及<04480><04714>領出來<03318>(8686)。這事你<0859>都知道<03045>(8804)。如今<02009>，我們<0587>在你邊<07097>界<01366>上的城<05892>加低斯<09002><06946>。
And when we cried<06817>(8799) unto the LORD<03068>, he heard<08085>(8799) our voice<06963>, and sent<07971>(8799) an angel<04397>, and hath brought us forth<03318>(8686) out of Egypt<04714>: and, behold, we are in Kadesh<06946>, a city<05892> in the uttermost<07097> of thy border<01366>:
17 求<04994>你容我們從你的地<09002><0776>經過<05674>(8799)。我們不<03808>走<05674>(8799)田間<09002><07704>和葡萄園<09002><03754>，也不<03808>喝<08354>(8799)井<0875>裡的水<04325>，只走<03212>(8799)大道（原文是王<04428>道<01870>），不<03808>偏<05186>(8799)左<08040>右<03225>，直到<05704>{<0834>}過了<05674>(8799)你的境界<01366>。』」
Let us pass<05674>(8799), I pray thee, through thy country<0776>: we will not pass<05674>(8799) through the fields<07704>, or through the vineyards<03754>, neither will we drink<08354>(8799) of the water<04325> of the wells<0875>: we will go<03212>(8799) by the king's<04428> high way<01870>, we will not turn<05186>(8799) to the right hand<03225> nor to the left<08040>, until we have passed<05674>(8799) thy borders<01366>.
18 以東<0123>王說<0559>(8799){<0413>}：「你不可<03808>從我的地<09002>經過<05674>(8799)，免得<06435>我帶刀<09002><02719>出去<03318>(8799)攻擊你<09001><07125>(8800)。」
And Edom<0123> said<0559>(8799) unto him, Thou shalt not pass<05674>(8799) by me, lest I come out<03318>(8799) against<07125>(8800) thee with the sword<02719>.
19 以色列<03478>人<01121>說<0559>(8799){<0413>}：「我們要走大道<09002><04546>上去<05927>(8799)；我們<0589>和牲畜<04735>若<0518>喝<08354>(8799)你的水<04325>，必給<05414>(8804)你價值<04377>。不<0369>求別的{<01697>}，只求<07535>你容我們步<09002><07272>行過去<05674>(8799)。」
And the children<01121> of Israel<03478> said<0559>(8799) unto him, We will go<05927>(8799) by the high way<04546>: and if I and my cattle<04735> drink<08354>(8799) of thy water<04325>, then I will pay<05414>(8804)<04377> for it: I will only, without doing any thing<01697> else , go through<05674>(8799) on my feet<07272>.
20 以東<0123>王說<0559>(8799)：「你們不可<03808>經過<05674>(8799)！」就率領許多<03515>人<09002><05971>出來<03318>(8799)，要用強硬<02389>的手<09002><03027>攻擊<09001><07125>(8800)以色列人。
And he said<0559>(8799), Thou shalt not go through<05674>(8799). And Edom<0123> came out<03318>(8799) against<07125>(8800) him with much<03515> people<05971>, and with a strong<02389> hand<03027>.
21 這樣，以東<0123>王不肯<03985>(8762)容<05414>(8800){<0853>}以色列人<03478>從他的境界<09002><01366>過去<05674>(8800)。於是他們<03478>轉去<05186>(8799)，離開他<04480><05921>。
Thus Edom<0123> refused<03985>(8762) to give<05414>(8800) Israel<03478> passage<05674>(8800) through his border<01366>: wherefore Israel<03478> turned away<05186>(8799) from him.
22 以色列<03478><01121>全<03605>會眾<05712>從加低斯<04480><06946>起行<05265>(8799)，到了<0935>(8799)何珥<02023>山<02022>。
And the children<01121> of Israel<03478>, even the whole congregation<05712>, journeyed<05265>(8799) from Kadesh<06946>, and came<0935>(8799) unto mount<02022> Hor<02023>.
23 耶和華<03068>在<05921>附近以東<0123>{<0776>}邊界<01366>的何珥<09002><02023>山<02022>上曉諭<0559>(8799){<0413>}摩西<04872>、{<0413>}亞倫<0175>說<09001><0559>(8800)：
And the LORD<03068> spake<0559>(8799) unto Moses<04872> and Aaron<0175> in mount<02022> Hor<02023>, by the coast<01366> of the land<0776> of Edom<0123>, saying<0559>(8800),
24 「亞倫<0175>要歸<0622>(8735)到<0413>他列祖（原文是本民<05971>）那裡。他必<03588>不得<03808>入<0935>(8799){<0413>}我所<0834>賜<05414>(8804)給以色列<03478>人<09001><01121>的地<0776>；因<05921>為<0834>在米利巴<04809>水<09001><04325>，你們違背了<04784>(8804){<0853>}我的命<06310>。
Aaron<0175> shall be gathered<0622>(8735) unto his people<05971>: for he shall not enter<0935>(8799) into the land<0776> which I have given<05414>(8804) unto the children<01121> of Israel<03478>, because ye rebelled against<04784>(8804) my word<06310> at the water<04325> of Meribah<04809>. {word: Heb. mouth}
25 你帶<03947>(8798){<0853>}亞倫<0175>和<0853>他的兒子<01121>以利亞撒<0499>上<05927>(8685){<0853>}何珥<02023>山<02022>，
Take<03947>(8798) Aaron<0175> and Eleazar<0499> his son<01121>, and bring them up<05927>(8685) unto mount<02022> Hor<02023>:
26 把<0853>亞倫<0175>的{<0853>}聖衣<0899>脫下來<06584>(8685)，給<0853>他的兒子<01121>以利亞撒<0499>穿上<03847>(8689)；亞倫<0175>必死<04191>(8804)在那裡<08033>，歸<0622>(8735)他列祖。」
And strip<06584>(8685) Aaron<0175> of his garments<0899>, and put<03847>(8689) them upon Eleazar<0499> his son<01121>: and Aaron<0175> shall be gathered<0622>(8735) unto his people , and shall die<04191>(8804) there.
27 摩西<04872>就照<09003><0834>耶和華<03068>所吩咐的<06680>(8765)行<06213>(8799)。三人當著{<03605>}會眾<05712>的眼前<09001><05869>上了<05927>(8799){<0413>}何珥<02023>山<02022>。
And Moses<04872> did<06213>(8799) as the LORD<03068> commanded<06680>(8765): and they went up<05927>(8799) into mount<02022> Hor<02023> in the sight<05869> of all the congregation<05712>.
28 摩西<04872>把<0853>亞倫<0175>的{<0853>}聖衣<0899>脫下來<06584>(8686)，給<0853>他的兒子<01121>以利亞撒<0499>穿上<03847>(8686){<0853>}，亞倫<0175>就死<04191>(8799)在山<02022>頂<09002><07218>那裡<08033>。於是摩西<04872>和以利亞撒<0499>下了<03381>(8799){<04480>}山<02022>。
And Moses<04872> stripped<06584>(8686) Aaron<0175> of his garments<0899>, and put<03847>(8686) them upon Eleazar<0499> his son<01121>; and Aaron<0175> died<04191>(8799) there in the top<07218> of the mount<02022>: and Moses<04872> and Eleazar<0499> came down<03381>(8799) from the mount<02022>.
29 全<03605>會眾<05712>，就是以色列<03478>全<03605>家<01004>，見<07200>(8799){<03588>}亞倫<0175>已經死了<01478>(8804)，便都為<0853>亞倫<0175>哀哭了<01058>(8799)三十<07970>天<03117>。
And when all the congregation<05712> saw<07200>(8799) that Aaron<0175> was dead<01478>(8804), they mourned<01058>(8799) for Aaron<0175> thirty<07970> days<03117>, even all the house<01004> of Israel<03478>.
