13:1 耶和華<03068>曉諭<01696>(8762){<0413>}摩西<04872>說<09001><0559>(8800)：
And the LORD<03068> spake<01696>(8762) unto Moses<04872>, saying<0559>(8800),
13:2 「你打發<07971>(8798){<09001>}人<0582>去窺探<08446>(8799){<0853>}我<0589>所<0834>賜<05414>(8802)給以色列<03478>人<09001><01121>的迦南<03667>地<0776>，他們每<0376><0259>支派<09001><04294>{<01>}中<09002>要打發<07971>(8799)一個<0259>人<0376>，都<03605>要作首領<05387>的。」
Send<07971>(8798) thou men<0582>, that they may search<08446>(8799) the land<0776> of Canaan<03667>, which I give<05414>(8802) unto the children<01121> of Israel<03478>: of every<0376> tribe<04294> of their fathers<01> shall ye send<07971>(8799) a man<0259>, every one a ruler<05387> among them.
13:3 摩西<04872>就照<05921>耶和華<03068>的吩咐<06310>從巴蘭<06290>的曠野<04480><04057>打發<07971>(8799)他們<0853>去；他們<01992>都<03605>{<0582>}是以色列<03478>人<01121>的族長<07218>。
And Moses<04872> by the commandment<06310> of the LORD<03068> sent<07971>(8799) them from the wilderness<04057> of Paran<06290>: all those men<0582> were<01992> heads<07218> of the children<01121> of Israel<03478>.
13:4 {<0428>}他們的名字<08034>：屬流便<07205>支派的<09001><04294>有撒刻<02139>的兒子<01121>沙母亞<08051>。
And these were their names<08034>: of the tribe<04294> of Reuben<07205>, Shammua<08051> the son<01121> of Zaccur<02139>.
13:5 屬西緬<08095>支派的<09001><04294>有何利<02753>的兒子<01121>沙法<08202>。
Of the tribe<04294> of Simeon<08095>, Shaphat<08202> the son<01121> of Hori<02753>.
13:6 屬猶大<03063>支派的<09001><04294>有耶孚尼<03312>的兒子<01121>迦勒<03612>。
Of the tribe<04294> of Judah<03063>, Caleb<03612> the son<01121> of Jephunneh<03312>.

These are the names<08034> of the men<0582> which Moses<04872> sent<07971>(8804) to spy out<08446>(8800) the land<0776>. And Moses<04872> called<07121>(8799) Oshea<01954> the son<01121> of Nun<05126> Jehoshua<03091>. {Oshea: also called Joshua} {Jehoshua: or, Joshua}
13:17 摩西<04872>打發<07971>(8799)他們<0853>去窺探<09001><08446>(8800){<0853>}迦南<03667>地<0776>，說<0559>(8799){<0413>}：「你們{<05927>}{(8798)}從{<02088>}南地<09002><05045>上<05927>(8804){<0853>}山地<02022>去，
And Moses<04872> sent<07971>(8799) them to spy out<08446>(8800) the land<0776> of Canaan<03667>, and said<0559>(8799) unto them, Get you up<05927>(8798) this way southward<05045>, and go up<05927>(8804) into the mountain<02022>:
13:18 看<07200>(8804){<0853>}那地<0776>如何<04100>{<01931>}，其中<05921>所住<03427>(8802)的{<0853>}民<05971>是<01931>強<02389>是弱<07504>，是<0518>多<07227>是<01931>少<04592>，
And see<07200>(8804) the land<0776>, what it is ; and the people<05971> that dwelleth<03427>(8802) therein, whether they be strong<02389> or weak<07504>, few<04592> or many<07227>;
13:19 {<04100>}所<0834>{<01931>}住<03427>(8802){<09002>}之處<0776>是<01931>好<02896>是<0518>歹<07451>，{<04100>}所<0834>{<01931>}住<03427>(8802){<09002>}之處<05892>是營盤<04264>是<0518>堅城<09002><04013>。
And what the land<0776> is that they dwell in<03427>(8802), whether it be good<02896> or bad<07451>; and what cities<05892> they be that they dwell<03427>(8802) in<02007>, whether in tents<04264>, or in strong holds<04013>;
13:20 又看{<04100>}那地土<0776>是<01931>肥美<08082>是<0518>瘠薄<07330>，其中<09002>有<03426>樹木<06086>{<0518>}沒有<0369>。你們要放開膽量<02388>(8694)，把那地<0776>的果子<04480><06529>帶<03947>(8804)些來。」（那時<03117>正是葡萄<06025>初熟<01061>的時候<03117>。）
And what the land<0776> is , whether it be fat<08082> or lean<07330>, whether there be<03426> wood<06086> therein, or not. And be ye of good courage<02388>(8694), and bring<03947>(8804) of the fruit<06529> of the land<0776>. Now the time<03117> was the time<03117> of the firstripe<01061> grapes<06025>.
13:21 他們上去<05927>(8799)窺探<08446>(8799){<0853>}那地<0776>，從尋<06790>的曠野<04480><04057>到<05704>利合<07340>，直到哈馬<02574>口<09001><0935>(8800)。
So they went up<05927>(8799), and searched<08446>(8799) the land<0776> from the wilderness<04057> of Zin<06790> unto Rehob<07340>, as men come<0935>(8800) to Hamath<02574>.
13:22 他們從南地<09002><05045>上去<05927>(8799)，到了<0935>(8799){<05704>}希伯崙<02275>；在那裡<08033>有亞衲<06061>族人<03211>亞希幔<0289>、示篩<08344>、撻買<08526>。（原來希伯崙城<02275>被建造<01129>(8738)比埃及<04714>的鎖安城<06814>早<09001><06440>七<07651>年<08141>。）
And they ascended<05927>(8799) by the south<05045>, and came<0935>(8799) unto Hebron<02275>; where Ahiman<0289>, Sheshai<08344>, and Talmai<08526>, the children<03211> of Anak<06061>, were . (Now Hebron<02275> was built<01129>(8738) seven<07651> years<08141> before<06440> Zoan<06814> in Egypt<04714>.)
13:23 他們到了<0935>(8799){<05704>}以實各<0812>谷<05158>，從那裡<04480><08033>砍了<03772>(8799)葡萄樹的一枝<02156>，上頭有一<0259>掛<0811>葡萄<06025>，兩個人<09002><08147>用槓<09002><04132>抬著<05375>(8799)，又帶了些<04480>石榴<07416>和<04480>無花果<08384>來。
And they came<0935>(8799) unto the brook<05158> of Eshcol<0812>, and cut down<03772>(8799) from thence a branch<02156> with one<0259> cluster<0811> of grapes<06025>, and they bare<05375>(8799) it between two<08147> upon a staff<04132>; and they brought of the pomegranates<07416>, and of the figs<08384>. {brook: or, valley}
13:24 （因<05921>為<0182>以色列<03478>人<01121>從那裡<04480><08033>砍<03772>(8804)來的那<0834>掛葡萄<0811>，所以那<01931>地方<09001><04725>叫做<07121>(8804)以實各<0812>谷<05158>。）
The place<04725> was called<07121>(8804) the brook<05158> Eshcol<0812>, because of<0182> the cluster of grapes<0811> which the children<01121> of Israel<03478> cut down<03772>(8804) from thence. {brook: or, valley} {Eshcol: that is, A cluster of grapes}
13:25 過了<04480><07093>四十<0705>天<03117>，他們窺探<04480><08446>(8800)那地<0776>才回來<07725>(8799)，
And they returned<07725>(8799) from searching<08446>(8800) of the land<0776> after<07093> forty<0705> days<03117>.
13:26 到了<03212>(8799){<0413>}巴蘭<06290>曠野<04057>的加低斯<06946>，{<0935>}{(8799)}見<0413>摩西<04872>、{<0413>}亞倫<0175>，並<0413>以色列<03478>{<01121>}的全<03605>會眾<05712>，回<07725>(8686)報<01697>摩西、亞倫<0853>，並<0853>全<03605>會眾<05712>，又把<0853>那地<0776>的果子<06529>給他們看<07200>(8686)；
And they went<03212>(8799) and came<0935>(8799) to Moses<04872>, and to Aaron<0175>, and to all the congregation<05712> of the children<01121> of Israel<03478>, unto the wilderness<04057> of Paran<06290>, to Kadesh<06946>; and brought back<07725>(8686) word<01697> unto them, and unto all the congregation<05712>, and shewed<07200>(8686) them the fruit<06529> of the land<0776>.
13:27 又告訴<05608>(8762)摩西<09001>說<0559>(8799)：「我們到了<0935>(8804){<0413>}你所<0834>打發我們去<07971>(8804)的那地<0776>，果然<01571>是<01931>流<02100>(8802)奶<02461>與蜜<01706>之地；這就是<02088>那地的果子<06529>。
And they told<05608>(8762) him, and said<0559>(8799), We came<0935>(8804) unto the land<0776> whither thou sentest<07971>(8804) us, and surely it floweth<02100>(8802) with milk<02461> and honey<01706>; and this is the fruit<06529> of it.
13:28 然而<0657><03588>住<03427>(8802)那地<09002><0776>的民<05971>強壯<05794>，城邑<05892>也堅固<01219>(8803)寬<03966>大<01419>，並且<01571>我們在那裡<08033>看見<07200>(8804)了亞衲<06061>族的人<03211>。
Nevertheless<0657> the people<05971> be strong<05794> that dwell<03427>(8802) in the land<0776>, and the cities<05892> are walled<01219>(8803), and very<03966> great<01419>: and moreover we saw<07200>(8804) the children<03211> of Anak<06061> there.
13:29 亞瑪力人<06002>住<03427>(8802)在南<05045>地<09002><0776>；赫人<02850>、耶布斯人<02983>、亞摩利人<0567>住<03427>(8802)在山地<09002><02022>；迦南人<03669>住<03427>(8802)在<05921>海邊<03220>並<05921>約旦河<03383>旁<03027>。」
The Amalekites<06002> dwell<03427>(8802) in the land<0776> of the south<05045>: and the Hittites<02850>, and the Jebusites<02983>, and the Amorites<0567>, dwell<03427>(8802) in the mountains<02022>: and the Canaanites<03669> dwell<03427>(8802) by the sea<03220>, and by the coast<03027> of Jordan<03383>.
13:30 迦勒<03612>在<0413>摩西<04872>面前安撫<02013>(8686){<0853>}百姓<05971>，說<0559>(8799)：「我們立刻<05927>(8800)上去<05927>(8799)得<03423>(8804)那地<0853>吧！{<03588>}我們足能<03201>(8799)得勝<03201>(8800){<09001>}。」
And Caleb<03612> stilled<02013>(8686) the people<05971> before Moses<04872>, and said<0559>(8799), Let us go up<05927>(8799) at once<05927>(8800), and possess<03423>(8804) it; for we are well able<03201>(8799) to overcome<03201>(8800) it.
13:31 但那些<0834>和他同<05973>去<05927>(8804)的人<0582>說<0559>(8804)：「我們不<03808>能<03201>(8799)上去<09001><05927>(8800)攻擊<0413>那民<05971>，因為<03588>他們<01931>比我們<04480>強壯<02389>。」
But the men<0582> that went up<05927>(8804) with him said<0559>(8804), We be not able<03201>(8799) to go up<05927>(8800) against the people<05971>; for they are stronger<02389> than we.
13:32 探子中有人論到所<0834>窺探<08446>(8804){<0853>}之地<0776>，向<0413>以色列<03478>人<01121>報<03318>(8686)惡信<01681>，說<09001><0559>(8800)：「我們所<0834>窺探<09001><08446>(8800){<0853>}、經過<05674>(8804){<09002>}之地<0776>是<01931>吞吃<0398>(8802)居民<03427>(8802)之地<0776>，我們在那裡<09002><08432>所<0834>看見<07200>(8804)的人民<05971>都<03605>身量高大<04060>{<0582>}。
And they brought up<03318>(8686) an evil report<01681> of the land<0776> which they had searched<08446>(8804) unto the children<01121> of Israel<03478>, saying<0559>(8800), The land<0776>, through which we have gone<05674>(8804) to search<08446>(8800) it, is a land<0776> that eateth up<0398>(8802) the inhabitants<03427>(8802) thereof; and all the people<05971> that we saw<07200>(8804) in it<08432> are men<0582> of a great stature<04060>. {men...: Heb. men of statures}
13:33 我們在那裡<08033>看見<07200>(8804)亞衲族<06061>人<01121>，就是<0853>偉人<05303>；他們是偉人<05303>的後裔<04480>。據我們看<09002><05869>，自己就<01961>(8799)如蚱蜢<09003><02284>一樣；據他們看<09002><05869>，我們也是<01961>(8804)如此<03651>。」
And there we saw<07200>(8804) the giants<05303>, the sons<01121> of Anak<06061>, which come of the giants<05303>: and we were in our own sight<05869> as grasshoppers<02284>, and so we were in their sight<05869>.
