1:1 作耶穌<2424>基督<5547>僕人<1401>和<2532>使徒<652>的西門<4826>•彼得<4074>寫信給那因<1722>我們的<1473>上帝<2316>和<2532>（有古卷沒有和字）救主<4990>耶穌<2424>基督<5547>之義<1343>、與我們<1473>同得<2975>(5660)一樣寶貴<2472>信心<4102>的人。

1:2 願恩惠<5485>、{<2532>}平安<1515>，因<1722>你們認識<1922>上帝<2316>和<2532>我們<1473>主<2962>耶穌<2424>，多多地<4129>(5684)加給你們<4771>。
Grace<5485> and<2532> peace<1515> be multiplied<4129>(5684) unto you<5213> through<1722> the knowledge<1922> of God<2316>, and<2532> of Jesus<2424> our<2257> Lord<2962>,
1:3 {<5613>}上帝的神<2304>能<1411>已將一切<3956>關乎<4314>生命<2222>和<2532>虔敬<2150>的事賜給<1433>(5768)我們<1473>，皆因<1223>我們認識<1922>那用<2398>自己榮耀<1391>和<2532>美德<703>召<2564>(5660)我們<1473>的主{<846>}。
According as<5613> his<846> divine<2304> power<1411> hath given<1433>(5772) unto us<2254> all things<3956> that pertain unto<4314> life<2222> and<2532> godliness<2150>, through<1223> the knowledge<1922> of him that hath called<2564>(5660) us<2248> to<1223> glory<1391> and<2532> virtue<703>: {to: or, by}
1:4 因<1223>此<3739>，他已將又寶貴<5093>又<2532>極大<3173>的應許<1862>賜給<1433>(5763)我們<1473>，叫<2443>{<1223>}{<3778>}我們既脫離<668>(5660)世<2889>上<1722>從情慾<1939>來<1722>的敗壞<5356>，就得<1096>(5667)與上帝的<2304>性情<5449>有分<2844>。
Whereby<1223><3739> are given<1433>(5769) unto us<2254> exceeding great<3176> and<2532> precious<5093> promises<1862>: that<2443> by<1223> these<5130> ye might be<1096>(5638) partakers<2844> of the divine<2304> nature<5449>, having escaped<668>(5631) the corruption<5356> that is in<1722> the world<2889> through<1722> lust<1939>.
1:5 {<2532>}{<1161>}正因這<3778>緣故，你們<846>要分外地<3923>(5660){<3956>}殷勤<4710>；{<4771>}有了信心<4102>，又要加上<2023>(5657){<1722>}德行<703>；{<1161>}有了德行<703>，又要加上{<1722>}知識<1108>；
And<2532><1161> beside<846> this<5124>, giving<3923>(5660) all<3956> diligence<4710>, add<2023>(5657) to<1722> your<5216> faith<4102> virtue<703>; and<1161> to<1722> virtue<703> knowledge<1108>;
1:6 {<1161>}有了知識<1108>，又要加上{<1722>}節制<1466>；{<1161>}有了節制<1466>，又要加上{<1722>}忍耐<5281>；{<1161>}有了忍耐<5281>，又要加上{<1722>}虔敬<2150>；
And<1161> to<1722> knowledge<1108> temperance<1466>; and<1161> to<1722> temperance<1466> patience<5281>; and<1161> to<1722> patience<5281> godliness<2150>;
1:7 {<1161>}有了虔敬<2150>，又要加上{<1722>}愛弟兄的心<5360>；{<1161>}有了愛弟兄的心<5360>，又要加上<1722>愛眾人的心<26>。
And<1161> to<1722> godliness<2150> brotherly kindness<5360>; and<1161> to<1722> brotherly kindness<5360> charity<26>.
1:8 你們<4771>若<1063>{<2532>}充充足足地<4121>(5723)有<5225>(5723)這幾樣<3778>，就必使<2525>(5719)你們在認識<1922>我們的<1473>主<2962>耶穌<2424>基督<5547>上<1519>不至於<3756>閒懶<692>{<3761>}不結果子<175>了。
For<1063> if these things<5023> be<5225>(5723) in you<5213>, and<2532> abound<4121>(5723), they make<2525>(5719) you that ye shall neither<3756> be barren<692> nor<3761> unfruitful<175> in<1519> the knowledge<1922> of our<2257> Lord<2962> Jesus<2424> Christ<5547>. {barren: Gr. idle}
1:9 人{<3739>}若<1063>沒<3361>有<3918>(5719)這幾樣<3778>，就是<1510>(5719)眼瞎<5185>，只看見近處的<3467>(5723)，忘了<3024>他<846>舊日的<3819>罪<266>已經得了<2983>(5660)潔淨<2512>。
But<1063> he that<3739> lacketh<3361><3918>(5748) these things<5023> is<2076>(5748) blind<5185>, and cannot see afar off<3467>(5723), and hath forgotten<3024><2983>(5631) that he was purged from<2512> his<846> old<3819> sins<266>.
1:10 所以<1352>弟兄們<80>，應當更加<3123>殷勤<4704>(5657)，使<4160>(5733)你們<4771>所蒙的恩召<2821>和<2532>揀選<1589>堅定不移<949>。你們若<1063>行<4160>(5723)這幾樣<3778>，就永不<3756><3361><4218>失腳<4417>(5661)；
Wherefore<1352> the rather<3123>, brethren<80>, give diligence<4704>(5657) to make<4160>(5733) your<5216> calling<2821> and<2532> election<1589> sure<949>: for<1063> if ye do<4160>(5723) these things<5023>, ye shall<4218><0><4417><0> never<3364> fall<4218><4417>(5661):
1:11 {<1063>}這樣<3779>，必叫{<2023>}{(5701)}你們<4771>豐豐富富地<4146>得以進入<1529><1519>我們<1473>主<2962>─{<2532>}救主<4990>耶穌<2424>基督<5547>永遠的<166>國<932>。
For<1063> so<3779> an entrance<1529> shall be ministered<2023>(5701) unto you<5213> abundantly<4146> into<1519> the everlasting<166> kingdom<932> of our<2257> Lord<2962> and<2532> Saviour<4990> Jesus<2424> Christ<5547>.
1:12 {<1352>}你們雖然<2539>曉得<3608a>(5761)這些事，並且<2532>在你們已有的<3918>(5723)真道<225>上<1722>堅固<4741>(5772)，我卻要<3195>(5692)將<4012>這些事<3778>常常<104>提醒<5279>(5721)你們<4771>。
Wherefore<1352> I will<272><0> not<3756> be negligent<272>(5692) to put<5279><0> you<5209> always<104> in remembrance<5279>(5721) of<4012> these things<5130>, though<2539> ye know<1492>(5761) them , and<2532> be established<4741>(5772) in<1722> the present<3918>(5752) truth<225>.
1:13 {<1161>}我以為<2233>(5736)應當趁<1342>{<1909>}{<3745>}我還在<1510>(5719)這<3778>帳棚<4638>{<1722>}的時候{<1722>}提醒<5280>你們，激發<1326>(5721)你們<4771>；
Yea<1161>, I think it<2233>(5736) meet<1342>, as long as<1909><3745> I am<1510>(5748) in<1722> this<5129> tabernacle<4638>, to stir<1326><0> you<5209> up<1326>(5721) by<1722> putting you in remembrance<5280>;
1:14 因為<3754>知道<3608a>(5761)我<1473>脫離<595>這帳棚<4638>的時候{<1510>}{(5719)}快到了<5031>，正<2532>如<2531>我們<1473>主<2962>耶穌<2424>基督<5547>所指示<1213>(5656)我<1473>的。
Knowing<1492>(5761) that<3754> shortly<5031> I must<2076>(5748) put off<595> this my<3450> tabernacle<4638>, even<2532> as<2531> our<2257> Lord<2962> Jesus<2424> Christ<5547> hath shewed<1213>(5656) me<3427>.
1:15 並且<1161><2532>，我要盡心竭力<4704>(5692)，使<4160>(5733)你們<4771>{<2192>}{(5721)}在我<1699>去世<1841>以後<3326>時常<1539>記念<3420>這些事<3778>。
Moreover<1161><2532> I will endeavour<4704>(5692) that ye<5209> may be able<2192>(5721) after<3326> my<1699> decease<1841> to have<4160>(5733) these things<5130> always<1539> in remembrance<3420>.
1:16 {<1063>}我們從前將我們<1473>主<2962>耶穌<2424>基督<5547>的大能<1411>和<2532>他降臨<3952>的事告訴<1107>(5656)你們<4771>，並不是<3756>隨從<1811>(5660)乖巧捏造的<4679>(5772)虛言<3454>，乃<235>是<1096>(5679)親眼見過<2030>他的<1565>威榮<3168>。
For<1063> we have<1811><0> not<3756> followed<1811>(5660) cunningly devised<4679>(5772) fables<3454>, when we made known<1107>(5656) unto you<5213> the power<1411> and<2532> coming<3952> of our<2257> Lord<2962> Jesus<2424> Christ<5547>, but<235> were<1096>(5679) eyewitnesses<2030> of his<1565> majesty<3168>.
1:17 {<1063>}他從<3844>父<3962>上帝<2316>得<2983>(5660)尊貴<5092>{<2532>}榮耀<1391>的時候，從極大<3169>榮光<1391>之中<5259>有{<5107>}聲音<5456>出來<5342>(5685)，向他<846>說：「這{<1473>}<3778>是<1510>(5719)我的<1473>愛<27>子<5207>，我<1473>所喜悅<2106>(5656){<1519>}的{<3739>}。」
For<1063> he received<2983>(5631) from<3844> God<2316> the Father<3962> honour<5092> and<2532> glory<1391>, when there came<5342>(5685) such<5107> a voice<5456> to him<846> from<5259> the excellent<3169> glory<1391>, This<3778> is<2076>(5748) my<3450> beloved<27> Son<5207>, in<1519> whom<3739> I<1473> am well pleased<2106>(5656).
1:18 {<2532>}我們<1473>{<1510>}{(5723)}同<4862>他<846>在<1722>聖<40>山<3735>的時候，親自聽見<191>(5656)這<3778>聲音<5456>從<1537>天上<3772>出來<5342>(5685)。
And<2532> this<5026> voice<5456> which came<5342>(5685) from<1537> heaven<3772> we<2249> heard<191>(5656), when we were<5607>(5752) with<4862> him<846> in<1722> the holy<40> mount<3735>.
1:19 我們並<2532>有<2192>(5719)先知更確的<949>預言<4397><3056>，如同<5613>燈<3088>照<5316>(5723)在<1722>暗<850>處<5117>。你們在這<3739>預言上留意<4337>(5723)，直等到<2193><3739>天發亮<2250><1306>(5661)，{<2532>}晨星<5459>在你們<4771>心<2588>裡<1722>出現<393>(5661)的時候，才是<4160>(5719)好的<2573>。
We have<2192>(5719) also<2532> a more sure<949> word<3056> of prophecy<4397>; whereunto<3739> ye do<4160>(5719) well<2573> that ye take heed<4337>(5723), as<5613> unto a light<3088> that shineth<5316>(5730) in<1722> a dark<850> place<5117>, until<2193><3739> the day<2250> dawn<1306>(5661), and<2532> the day star<5459> arise<393>(5661) in<1722> your<5216> hearts<2588>:
1:20 {<3778>}第一<4413>要緊的，{<3754>}該知道<1097>(5723)經上<1124>所有的預言<4394>沒有<3756><3956>可<1096>(5736)隨私意<2398>解說<1955>的；
Knowing<1097>(5723) this<5124> first<4412>, that<3754> no<3756><3956> prophecy<4394> of the scripture<1124> is<1096>(5736) of any private<2398> interpretation<1955>.
1:21 因為<1063>預言<4394>從來<4218>沒有<3756>出於<5342>(5681)人<444>意<2307>的，乃是<235>人<444>被<5259>聖<40>靈<4151>感動<5342>(5746)，說出<2980>(5656){<575>}上帝<2316>的話來。
For<1063> the prophecy<4394> came<5342>(5681) not<3756> in old time<4218> by the will<2307> of man<444>: but<235> holy<40> men<444> of God<2316> spake<2980>(5656) as they were moved<5342>(5746) by<5259> the Holy<40> Ghost<4151>. {in old time: or, at any time}
