Wherefore<5105> seeing we also<2532> are<2192>(5723) compassed about<4029>(5740)<2254> with so great<5118> a cloud<3509> of witnesses<3144>, let<659><0> us<2249> lay aside<659>(5642) every<3956> weight<3591>, and<2532> the sin<266> which doth so easily beset<2139> us , and let us run<5143>(5725) with<1223> patience<5281> the race<73> that is set before<4295>(5740) us<2254>,

3 那<1063>忍受<5278>(5761)罪人<268>這樣<5108>頂撞<485>的<5259>{<1519>}{<1438>}，你們<4771>要思想<357>(5663)，免得<2443><3361>疲倦<2577>(5661)灰<1590>(5746)心<5590>。
For<1063> consider<357>(5663) him that endured<5278>(5761) such<5108> contradiction<485> of<5259> sinners<268> against<1519> himself<846>, lest<3363> ye be wearied<2577>(5632) and faint<1590>(5746) in your<5216> minds<5590>.
4 你們與<4314>罪惡<266>相爭<464>(5740)，還沒有<3768>抵擋<478>(5656)到<3360>流血<129>的地步。
Ye have<478><0> not yet<3768> resisted<478>(5627) unto<3360> blood<129>, striving<464>(5740) against<4314> sin<266>.
5 你們又<2532>忘了<1585>(5763)那<3748>勸你們<4771>如同<5613>勸兒子<5207>的話<3874>，說<1256>(5736)：我<1473>兒<5207>，你<3643>(5720)不<3361>可輕看主<2962>的管教<3809>，被<5259>他<846>責備<1651>(5746)的時候也不<3366>可灰心<1590>(5744)；
And<2532> ye have forgotten<1585>(5769) the exhortation<3874> which<3748> speaketh<1256>(5736) unto you<5213> as<5613> unto children<5207>, My<3450> son<5207>, despise<3643><0> not<3361> thou<3643>(5720) the chastening<3809> of the Lord<2962>, nor<3366> faint<1590>(5744) when thou art rebuked<1651>(5746) of<5259> him<846>:
6 因為<1063>主<2962>所愛<25>(5719)的<3739>，他必管教<3811>(5719)，又<1161>鞭打<3146>(5719)凡<3956><3739>所收納<3858>(5736)的兒子<5207>。
For<1063> whom<3739> the Lord<2962> loveth<25>(5719) he chasteneth<3811>(5719), and<1161> scourgeth<3146>(5719) every<3956> son<5207> whom<3739> he receiveth<3858>(5736).
7 你們所<1519>忍受的<5278>(5720)，是　神<2316>管教<3809>你們，待<4374>(5743)你們<4771>如同<5613>待兒子<5207>。焉<5101>有<1063>兒子<5207>{<3739>}不<3756>被父親<3962>管教<3811>(5719)的呢？
If<1487> ye endure<5278>(5719) chastening<3809>, God<2316> dealeth<4374>(5743) with you<5213> as<5613> with sons<5207>; for<1063> what<5101> son<5207> is he<2076>(5748) whom<3739> the father<3962> chasteneth<3811>(5719) not<3756>?
8 管教原是<3739>眾子<3956>所共<3353>受的<1096>(5758)。{<1161>}你們若<1487>不<5565>受<1510>(5719)管教<3809>，就<686>是<1510>(5719)私子<3541>，{<2532>}不<3756>是兒子<5207>了。
But<1161> if<1487> ye be<2075>(5748) without<5565> chastisement<3809>, whereof<3739> all<3956> are<1096>(5754) partakers<3353>, then<686> are ye<2075>(5748) bastards<3541>, and<2532> not<3756> sons<5207>.
9 再者<1534><3303>，我們<1473>曾有<2192>(5707)生身<4561>的父<3962>管教<3810>我們，我們尚且<2532>敬重<1788>(5712)他，何況萬靈<4151>的父<3962>，我們豈不<3756>更<4183>{<1161>}當<3123>順服<5293>(5701)他得<2532>生<2198>(5692)嗎？
Furthermore<1534><3303> we have had<2192>(5707) fathers<3962> of our<2257> flesh<4561> which corrected<3810> us , and<2532> we gave them reverence<1788>(5710): shall we<5293><0> not<3756> much<4183> rather<3123> be in subjection<5293>(5691) unto the Father<3962> of spirits<4151>, and<2532> live<2198>(5692)?
10 {<1063>}生身的父都<3303>是<4314>暫<3641><2250>隨<2596>己<846>意<1380>(5723)管教<3811>(5707)我們；惟有萬靈的父管教我們，是<1161>要<1909>我們得益處<4851>(5723)，使<1519>我們在他的<846>聖潔<41>上有分<3335>(5658)。
For<1063> they verily<3303> for<4314> a few<3641> days<2250> chastened<3811>(5707) us after<2596> their own<846> pleasure<1380>(5723); but<1161> he for<1909> our profit<4851>(5723), that<1519> we might be partakers<3335>(5629) of his<846> holiness<41>. {after...: or, as seemed good, or, meet to them}
11 <3956>凡<1161>管教<3809>的事，{<4314>}{<3303>}當時<3918>(5723)不覺得<3756><1380>(5719){<1510>}{(5721)}快樂<5479>，反<235>覺得愁苦<3077>；後來<5305>卻<1161>為那經<1223>練過<1128>(5772)的人{<846>}結出<591>(5719)平安的<1516>果子<2590>，就是義<1343>。
Now<1161> no<3956><3756> chastening<3809> for<4314><3303> the present<3918>(5752) seemeth<1380>(5719) to be<1511>(5750) joyous<5479>, but<235> grievous<3077>: nevertheless<1161> afterward<5305> it yieldeth<591>(5719) the peaceable<1516> fruit<2590> of righteousness<1343> unto them which are exercised<1128>(5772) thereby<1223><846>.
12 所以<1352>，你們要把下垂的<3935>(5772)手<5495>、{<2532>}發酸的<3886>(5772)腿<1119>挺起來<461>(5657)；
Wherefore<1352> lift up<461>(5657) the hands<5495> which hang down<3935>(5772), and<2532> the feeble<3886>(5772) knees<1119>;
13 也<2532>要為自己的<4771>腳<4228>，把道路<5163>修<4160>(5720)直<3717>了，使<2443>瘸子<5560>不致<3361>歪腳（或譯：差路<1624>(5686)），反<1161>得<3123>痊癒<2390>(5686)。
And<2532> make<4160>(5657) straight<3717> paths<5163> for your<5216> feet<4228>, lest that<3363> which is lame<5560> be turned out of the way<1624>(5652); but<1161> let it<2390><0> rather<3123> be healed<2390>(5686). {straight: or, even}
14 你們要追求<1377>(5720)與<3326>眾人<3956>和睦<1515>，並<2532>要追求聖潔<38>；非<5565>聖潔<3739>沒有人<3762>能見<3708>(5695)主<2962>。
Follow<1377>(5720) peace<1515> with<3326> all<3956> men , and<2532> holiness<38>, without<5565> which<3739> no man<3762> shall see<3700>(5695) the Lord<2962>:
15 又要謹慎<1983>(5723)，恐怕<3361>有人<5100>失了<5302>(5723)　神<2316>的<575>恩<5485>；恐怕<3361>有<5100>毒<4088>根<4491>生出<5453>(5723)來<507>擾亂<1776>(5725)你們，{<2532>}因此<1223><846>叫眾人<4183>沾染污穢<3392>(5686)；
Looking diligently<1983>(5723) lest<3361> any man<5100> fail<5302>(5723) of<575> the grace<5485> of God<2316>; lest<3361> any<5100> root<4491> of bitterness<4088> springing<5453>(5723) up<507> trouble<1776>(5725) you , and<2532> thereby<1223><5026> many<4183> be defiled<3392>(5686); {fail...; or, fall from}
16 恐怕<3361>有<5100>淫亂的<4205>，有{<2228>}貪戀世俗<952>如<5613>以掃<2269>的，他<3739>因<473>一點<1520>食物<1035>把自己<1438>長子的名分<4415>賣了<591>(5668)。
Lest<3361> there be any<5100> fornicator<4205>, or<2228> profane person<952>, as<5613> Esau<2269>, who<3739> for<473> one<3391> morsel of meat<1035> sold<591>(5639) his<846> birthright<4415>.
17 後來<2532><3347>{<3754>}想要<2309>(5723)承受<2816>(5658)父所祝的福<2129>，竟被棄絕<593>(5681)，雖然<2539>{<3326>}號哭<1144>切求<1567>(5660){<846>}，卻<1063>得不<3756>著<2147>(5656)門路<5117>使他父親的心意回轉<3341>。這是<1063>你們知道<4608a>(5758)的。
For<1063> ye know<2467>(5759) how<3754> that afterward<2532><3347>, when he would<2309>(5723) have inherited<2816>(5658) the blessing<2129>, he was rejected<593>(5681): for<1063> he found<2147>(5627) no<3756> place<5117> of repentance<3341>, though<2539> he sought<1567><0> it<846> carefully<1567>(5660) with<3326> tears<1144>. {place...: or, way to change his mind}
18 你們原<1063>不<3756>是來到<4334>(5758)那能摸<5584>(5746)的山；此山有<2532>火<4442>焰<2545>(5772)、{<2532>}密雲<1105>、{<2532>}黑暗<2217>、{<2532>}暴風<2366>、
For<1063> ye are<4334><0> not<3756> come<4334>(5754) unto the mount<3735> that might be touched<5584>(5746), and<2532> that burned<2545>(5772) with fire<4442>, nor<2532> unto blackness<1105>, and<2532> darkness<4655>, and<2532> tempest<2366>,
19 {<2532>}角<4536>聲<2279>與<2532>說話<4487>的聲音<5456>。那些聽見<191>(5660)這<3739>聲音的，都求<3868>(5662)不要再<3361>向他們<846>說<4369>(5683)話<3056>；
And<2532> the sound<2279> of a trumpet<4536>, and<2532> the voice<5456> of words<4487>; which<3739> voice they that heard<191>(5660) intreated<3868>(5662) that the word<3056> should<4369><0> not<3361><0> be spoken<4369>(5683) to them<846> any more<3361>:
20 因為<1063>他們當<5342>(5707)不<3756>起所命<1291>(5746)他們的話，說：「靠近<2345>(5661)這山<3735>的，即便是<2579>走獸<2342>，也要用石頭打死<3036>(5701)。」
(For<1063> they could<5342><0> not<3756> endure<5342>(5707) that which was commanded<1291>(5746), And if so much as<2579> a beast<2342> touch<2345>(5632) the mountain<3735>, it shall be stoned<3036>(5701), or<2228> thrust through<2700>(5701) with a dart<1002>:
21 {<2532>}所見的<5324>(5746){<1510>}{(5707)}極其<3779>可怕<5398>，甚至摩西<3475>說<3004>(5656)：「我甚<2532>是恐懼<1630><1510>(5719)戰兢<1790>。」
And<2532> so<3779> terrible<5398> was<2258>(5713) the sight<5324>(5746), that Moses<3475> said<2036>(5627), I exceedingly fear<1630><1510>(5748) and<2532> quake<1790>:)
22 你們乃是<235>來到<4334>(5758)錫安<4622>山<3735>，{<2532>}永生<2198>(5723)　神<2316>的城邑<4172>，就是天上的<2032>耶路撒冷<2414>。那裡有<2532>千萬的<3461>天使<32>{<3831>}，
But<235> ye are come<4334>(5754) unto mount<3735> Sion<4622>, and<2532> unto the city<4172> of the living<2198>(5723) God<2316>, the heavenly<2032> Jerusalem<2419>, and<2532> to an innumerable company<3461> of angels<32>,
23 有<2532>名錄<583>(5772)在<1722>天上<3772>諸長子<4416>之會<1577>所共聚的總會，有<2532>審判<2923>眾人<3956>的　神<2316>和<2532>被成全<5048>(5772)之義人<1342>的靈魂<4151>，
To the general assembly<3831> and<2532> church<1577> of the firstborn<4416>, which are written<583>(5772) in<1722> heaven<3772>, and<2532> to God<2316> the Judge<2923> of all<3956>, and<2532> to the spirits<4151> of just men<1342> made perfect<5048>(5772), {written: or, enrolled}
24 並<2532>新<3501>約<1242>的中保<3316>耶穌<2424>，以及<2532>所灑的<4473>血<129>；這血所說的<2980>(5723)比<3844>亞伯<6>的血所說的更美<2909>。
And<2532> to Jesus<2424> the mediator<3316> of the new<3501> covenant<1242>, and<2532> to the blood<129> of sprinkling<4473>, that speaketh<2980>(5723) better things<2909> than<3844> that of Abel<6>. {covenant: or, testament}
25 你們總要謹慎<991>(5720)，不<3361>可棄絕<3868>(5667)那向你們說話的<2980>(5723)。因為<1063>，<1487>那些棄絕<3868>(5666)在<1909>地上<1093>警戒<5537>(5723)他們<1565>的尚且不<3756>能逃罪<1628>(5656)，何況<4183><3123>我們<1473>違背<654>(5746)那從<575>天上<3772>警戒我們的呢？
See<991>(5720) that ye refuse<3868>(5667) not<3361> him that speaketh<2980>(5723). For<1063> if<1487> they<1565> escaped<5343>(5627) not<3756> who refused him<3868>(5666) that spake<5537>(5723) on<1909> earth<1093>, much<4183> more<3123> shall not we<2249> escape , if we turn away from him<654>(5734) that speaketh from<575> heaven<3772>:
26 當時<5119>他的<3739>聲音<5456>震動了<4531>(5656)地<1093>，但<1161>如今<3568>他應許<1861>(5766)說<3004>(5723)：「再<2089>一次<530>我<1473>不<3756>單<3441>要震動<4579>(5692)地<1093>，{<235>}還要<2532>震動天<3772>。」
Whose<3739> voice<5456> then<5119> shook<4531>(5656) the earth<1093>: but<1161> now<3568> he hath promised<1861>(5766), saying<3004>(5723), Yet<2089> once more<530> I<1473> shake<4579>(5719) not<3756> the earth<1093> only<3440>, but<235> also<2532> heaven<3772>.
27 {<1161>}這再<2089>一次<530>的話，是指明<1213>(5719)被震動的<4531>(5746)，就是<5613>受造<4160>(5772)之物都要挪去<3331>，使<2443>那不<3361>被震動<4531>(5746)的常存<3306>(5661)。
And<1161> this word , Yet<2089> once more<530>, signifieth<1213>(5719) the removing<3331> of those things that are shaken<4531>(5746), as<5613> of things that are made<4160>(5772), that<2443> those things which cannot<3361> be shaken<4531>(5746) may remain<3306>(5661). {are shaken: or, may be shaken}
28 所以<1352>我們既得了<3880>(5723)不能震動<761>的國<932>，就當<2192>(5725)感恩<5485>，照<1223><3739>　神所喜悅的<2102>，用<3326>虔誠<1189a>、{<2532>}敬畏<2124>的心事奉<3000>(5725)　神<2316>。
Wherefore<1352> we receiving<3880>(5723) a kingdom<932> which cannot be moved<761>, let us have<2192>(5725) grace<5485>, whereby<1223><3739> we may serve<3000>(5725) God<2316> acceptably<2102> with<3326> reverence<127> and<2532> godly fear<2124>: {let...: or, let us hold fast}
29 因為<2532><1063>我們的<1473>　神<2316>乃是烈<2654>(5723)火<4442>。
For<2532><1063> our<2257> God<2316> is a consuming<2654>(5723) fire<4442>.
