8:1 <1161>論到<4012>祭偶像<1494>之物，我們曉得<3608a>(5758){<3754>}我們都<3956>有<2192>(5719)知識<1108>。但知識<1108>是叫人自高自大<5448>(5719)，惟<1161>有愛心<26>能造就<3618>(5719)人。
Now<1161> as touching<4012> things offered unto idols<1494>, we know<1492>(5758) that<3754> we all<3956> have<2192>(5719) knowledge<1108>. Knowledge<1108> puffeth up<5448>(5719), but<1161> charity<26> edifieth<3618>(5719).
8:2 若<1487>有人<5100>以為<1380>(5719)自己知道<1097>(5760)甚麼<5100>，按<2531>他所當<1163>(5719)知道<1097>(5658)的，他仍<3768>是不知道<1097>(5656)。
And<1161> if any man<1536> think<1380>(5719) that he knoweth<1492>(5760) any thing<5100>, he knoweth<1097>(5758) nothing<3762> yet<3764> as<2531> he ought<1163>(5748) to know<1097>(5629).
8:3 {<1161>}若<1487>有人<5100>愛<25>(5719)神<2316>，這<3778>人乃是神{<846>}所<5259>知道<1097>(5769)的。
But<1161> if any man<1536> love<25>(5719) God<2316>, the same<3778> is known<1097>(5769) of<5259> him<846>.
8:4 {<3767>}論到<4012>吃祭偶像<1494>之物<1035>，我們知道<3608a>(5758){<3754>}偶像<1497>在<1722>世<2889>上算不得<3762>甚麼，也<2532>{<3754>}知道神只<1487><3361>有一位<1520>，再沒有<3762>別的神<2316>。
As concerning<4012> therefore<3767> the eating<1035> of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols<1494>, we know<1492>(5758) that<3754> an idol<1497> is nothing<3762> in<1722> the world<2889>, and<2532> that<3754> there is none<3762> other<2087> God<2316> but<1508> one<1520>.
8:5 {<1063>}雖<1512><2532>有<1510>(5719)稱為<3004>(5746)神<2316>的，或<1535>在<1722>天<3772>，或<1535>在<1909>地<1093>，就如<5618>那{<1510>}{(5719)}許多<4183>的神<2316>，{<2532>}許多<4183>的主<2962>；
For<1063> though<1512><2532> there be<1526>(5748) that are called<3004>(5746) gods<2316>, whether<1535> in<1722> heaven<3772> or<1535> in<1909> earth<1093>, (as<5618> there be<1526>(5748) gods<2316> many<4183>, and<2532> lords<2962> many<4183>,)
8:6 然而<235>我們<1473>只有一位<1520>神<2316>，就是父<3962>─萬物<3956>都本於<1537>他{<3739>}；我們<1473>也<2532>歸於<1519>他<846>─並<2532>有一位<1520>主<2962>，就是耶穌<2424>基督<5547>─萬物<3956>都是藉著<1223>他<3739>有的；我們<1473>也<2532>是藉著<1223>他<846>有的。
But<235> to us<2254> there is but one<1520> God<2316>, the Father<3962>, of<1537> whom<3739> are all things<3956>, and<2532> we<2249> in<1519> him<846>; and<2532> one<1520> Lord<2962> Jesus<2424> Christ<5547>, by<1223> whom<3739> are all things<3956>, and<2532> we<2249> by<1223> him<846>. {in: or, for}
8:7 但<235>{<1722>}人<3956>不<3756>都有這等知識<1108>。{<1161>}有人<5100>到<2193>如今<737>因拜慣了<4914>偶像<1497>，就以為<5613>所吃的<2068>(5719)是祭偶像<1494>之物。{<2532>}他們<846>的良心<4893>既然{<1510>}{(5723)}軟弱<772>，也就污穢<3435>(5743)了。
Howbeit<235> there is not<3756> in<1722> every man<3956> that knowledge<1108>: for<1161> some<5100> with conscience<4893> of the idol<1497> unto<2193> this hour<737> eat<2068>(5719) it as<5613> a thing offered unto an idol<1494>; and<2532> their<846> conscience<4893> being<5607>(5752) weak<772> is defiled<3435>(5743).
8:8 <1161>其實食物<1033>不<3756>能叫<3936>(5692)神<2316>看中我們<1473>，因為我們{<1437>}不<3361>吃<2068>(5661)也無<3777>損<5302>(5743)，{<1437>}吃<2068>(5661)也無<3777>益<4052>(5719)。
But<1161> meat<1033> commendeth<3936>(5719) us<2248> not<3756> to God<2316>: for<1063> neither<3777>, if<1437> we eat<5315>(5632), are we the better<4052>(5719); neither<3777>, if<3362><0> we eat<5315>(5632) not<3362>, are we the worse<5302>(5743). {are we the better: or, have we the more} {are we the worse: or, have we the less}
8:9 只是<1161>你們要謹慎<991>(5720)，恐怕<3361>你們<4771>這<3778>自由<1849>竟<4458>成了<1096>(5667)那軟弱<772>人的絆腳石<4348>。
But<1161> take heed<991>(5720) lest<3381> by any means<4458> this<3778> liberty<1849> of yours<5216> become<1096>(5638) a stumblingblock<4348> to them that are weak<770>(5723). {liberty: or, power}
8:10 <1063>若<1437>有人<5100>見<3708>(5661)你<4771>這有<2192>(5723)知識<1108>的，在偶像的廟<1493>裡<1722>坐席<2621>(5740)，這人<846>的良心<4893>若是<1510>(5723)軟弱<772>，豈不<3780>放膽<3618>(5701)去<1519>吃<2068>(5721)那祭偶<1494>像之物嗎？
For<1063> if<1437> any man<5100> see<1492>(5632) thee<4571> which<3588> hast<2192>(5723) knowledge<1108> sit at meat<2621>(5740) in<1722> the idol's temple<1493>, shall<3618><0> not<3780> the conscience<4893> of him<846> which is<5607>(5752) weak<772> be emboldened<3618>(5701)<1519> to eat<2068>(5721) those things which are offered to idols<1494>; {emboldened: Gr. edified}
8:11 因此<1063>，基督<5547>為<1223>他{<3739>}死<599>(5656)的那軟弱<770>(5723)弟兄<80>，也就因<1722>你<4674>的知識<1108>沉淪<622>(5743)了。
And<2532> through<1909> thy<4674> knowledge<1108> shall<622><0> the weak<770>(5723) brother<80> perish<622>(5689), for<1223> whom<3739> Christ<5547> died<599>(5627)?
8:12 <1161>你們這樣<3779>得罪<264>(5723){<1519>}弟兄們<80>，{<2532>}傷了<5180>(5723)他們<846>軟弱<770>(5723)的良心<4893>，就是得罪<264>(5719){<1519>}基督<5547>。
But<1161> when ye sin<264>(5723) so<3779> against<1519> the brethren<80>, and<2532> wound<5180>(5723) their<846> weak<770>(5723) conscience<4893>, ye sin<264>(5719) against<1519> Christ<5547>.
8:13 所以<1355>，食物<1033>若<1487>叫我<1473>弟兄<80>跌倒<4624>(5719)，我就永遠不<3756><3361>吃<2068>(5661)肉<2907>{<1519>}{<165>}，免得<2443><3361>叫我<1473>弟兄<80>跌倒<4624>(5661)了。
Wherefore<1355>, if<1487> meat<1033> make<4624><0> my<3450> brother<80> to offend<4624>(5719), I will eat<5315>(5632) no<3364> flesh<2907> while the world standeth<1519><165>, lest<3363> I make<4624><0> my<3450> brother<80> to offend<4624>(5661).
