And<2532> the whole<537> multitude<4128> of them<846> arose<450>(5631), and led<71>(5627) him<846> unto<1909> Pilate<4091>.

And<1161> they began<756>(5662) to accuse<2723>(5721) him<846>, saying<3004>(5723), We found<2147>(5627) this<5126> fellow perverting<1294>(5723) the nation<1484>, and<2532> forbidding<2967>(5723) to give<1325>(5721) tribute<5411> to Caesar<2541>, saying<3004>(5723) that he himself<1438> is<1511>(5750) Christ<5547> a King<935>.

And<1161> Pilate<4091> asked<1905>(5656) him<846>, saying<3004>(5723), Art<1488>(5748) thou<4771> the King<935> of the Jews<2453>? And<1161> he answered<611>(5679) him<846> and said<5346>(5713), Thou<4771> sayest<3004>(5719) it .

Then<1161> said<2036>(5627) Pilate<4091> to<4314> the chief priests<749> and<2532> to the people<3793>, I find<2147>(5719) no<3762> fault<158> in<1722> this<5129> man<444>.

23:6 {<1161>}彼拉多<4091>一聽見<191>(5660)，就問<1905>(5656)：「這人<444>{<1487>}是<1510>(5719)加利利人<1057>嗎？」
When<1161> Pilate<4091> heard<191>(5660) of Galilee<1056>, he asked<1905>(5656) whether<1487> the man<444> were<2076>(5748) a Galilaean<1057>.
23:7 既<2532>曉得<1921>(5660){<3754>}耶穌{<1510>}{(5719)}屬<1537>希律<2264>所管{<1849>}，就把他<846>送<375>(5656)到<4314>希律<2264>那裡去。{<2532>}{<1722>}那<3778>時<2250>希律{<846>}正{<1510>}{(5723)}在<1722>耶路撒冷<2414>。
And<2532> as soon as he knew<1921>(5631) that<3754> he belonged<2076>(5748) unto<1537> Herod's<2264> jurisdiction<1849>, he sent<375>(5656) him<846> to<4314> Herod<2264>, who<5607><0> himself<846> also<2532> was<5607>(5752) at<1722> Jerusalem<2414> at<1722> that<5025> time<2250>.

Then<1161> he questioned<1905>(5707) with him<846> in<1722> many<2425> words<3056>; but<1161> he<846> answered<611>(5662) him<846> nothing<3762>.
23:10 {<1161>}祭司長<749>和<2532>文士<1122>都站著<2476>(5715)，極力地<2159>告<2723>(5723)他<846>。
And<1161> the chief priests<749> and<2532> scribes<1122> stood<2476>(5715) and vehemently<2159> accused<2723>(5723) him<846>.
23:11 {<1161>}希律<2264>和<4862>他<846>的兵丁<4753>就<2532>藐視<1848>(5660)耶穌{<846>}，{<2532>}戲弄<1702>(5660)他，給他穿上<4016>(5660)華麗<2986>衣服<2066>，把他<846>送回<375>(5656)彼拉多<4091>那裡去。
And<1161> Herod<2264> with<4862> his<846> men of war<4753> set<1848><0> him<846> at nought<1848>(5660), and<2532> mocked<1702>(5660) him , and arrayed<4016>(5631) him<846> in a gorgeous<2986> robe<2066>, and sent<375><0> him<846> again<375>(5656) to Pilate<4091>.
23:12 {<1063>}從前{<4391>}{(5707)}{<5037>}希律<2264>和<2532>彼拉多<4091>{<1510>}{(5723)}彼此<4314><846>有仇<1722><2189>，{<1161>}在<1722>那一{<846>}天<2250>就成了<1096>(5662)朋友<5384>{<3326>}{<240>}。
And<1161><3739> the same<1722><846> day<2250> Pilate<4091> and<2532> Herod<2264> were made<1096>(5633) friends<5384> together<3326><5037><240>: for<1063> before<4391>(5707) they were<5607>(5752) at<1722> enmity<2189> between<4314> themselves<1438>.
23:13 {<1161>}彼拉多<4091>傳齊了<4779>(5671)祭司長<749>和<2532>官府<758>並<2532>百姓<2992>，
And<1161> Pilate<4091>, when he had called together<4779>(5671) the chief priests<749> and<2532> the rulers<758> and<2532> the people<2992>,

No<235>, nor yet<3761> Herod<2264>: for<1063> I sent<375>(5656) you<5209> to<4314> him<846>; and<2532>, lo<2400>(5628), nothing<3762> worthy<514> of death<2288> is<2076>(5748) done<4238>(5772) unto him<846>.
23:16 故此<3767>，我要責打<3811>(5660)他<846>，把他釋放了<630>(5692)。」（有古卷加：
I will<3811><0> therefore<3767> chastise<3811>(5660) him<846>, and release<630>(5692) him .
23:17 {<1161>}每逢<2596>這節期<1859>，巡撫必須<2192>(5707)<318>釋放<630>(5721)一個<1520>囚犯給他們<846>。）
(For<1161> of necessity<318> he must<2192>(5707) release<630>(5721) one<1520> unto them<846> at<2596> the feast<1859>.)
23:18 眾人卻<1161>一齊<3826>喊著<349>(5656)說<3004>(5723)：「除掉<142>(5720)這個<3778>人！{<1161>}釋放<630>(5657)巴拉巴<912>給我們<1473>！」
And<1161> they cried out<349>(5656) all at once<3826>, saying<3004>(5723), Away with<142>(5720) this<5126> man , and<1161> release<630>(5657) unto us<2254> Barabbas<912>:
23:19 這<3748>巴拉巴是<1510>(5707)因<1223>在<1722>城<4172>裡作<1096>(5666){<5100>}亂<4714>{<2532>}殺人<5408>，下<906>(5685)在<1722>監<5438>裡的。
(Who<3748> for<2258>(5713)<1223> a certain<5100> sedition<4714> made<1096>(5637) in<1722> the city<4172>, and<2532> for murder<5408>, was cast<906>(5772) into<1519> prison<5438>.)
23:20 {<1161>}彼拉多<4091>願意<2309>(5723)釋放<630>(5658)耶穌<2424>，就又<3825>勸解<4377>(5656)他們<846>。
Pilate<4091> therefore<3767>, willing<2309>(5723) to release<630>(5658) Jesus<2424>, spake<4377><0> again<3825> to them<4377>(5656).
23:21 無奈<1161>他們喊著<2019>(5707)說<3004>(5723)：「釘<4717>(5720)他十字架！釘<4717>(5720)他<846>十字架！」
But<1161> they cried<2019>(5707), saying<3004>(5723), Crucify<4717>(5657) him , crucify<4717>(5657) him<846>.
23:22 {<1161>}彼拉多第三次<5154>對<4314>他們<846>說<3004>(5656)：「為甚麼呢？{<1063>}這人<3778>做了<4160>(5656)甚麼<5101>惡事<2556>呢？我並沒有<3762>查出<2147>(5656){<1722>}他<846>甚麼該死<2288>的罪<159>來。所以<3767>，我要責打<3811>(5660)他<846>，把他釋放了<630>(5692)。」

I have found<2147>(5627) no<3762> cause<158> of death<2288> in<1722> him<846>: I will<3811><0> therefore<3767> chastise<3811>(5660) him<846>, and let him go<630>(5692).
23:23 {<1161>}他們大<3173>聲<5456>催逼<1945>(5708)彼拉多，求<154>(5734)他把耶穌{<846>}釘在十字架<4717>(5683)上。他們<846>的聲音<5456>就<2532>得了勝<2729>(5707)。
And<1161> they were instant<1945>(5711) with loud<3173> voices<5456>, requiring<154>(5734) that he<846> might be crucified<4717>(5683). And<2532> the voices<5456> of them<846> and<2532> of the chief priests<749> prevailed<2729>(5707).
23:24 {<2532>}彼拉多<4091>這才照<1096>(5664)他們<846>所求的<155>定案<1948>(5656)，
And<1161> Pilate<4091> gave sentence<1948>(5656) that it should be as<1096>(5635) they<846> required<155>. {gave...: or, assented}

23:29 因為<3754>{<2400>}日子<2250>要到<2064>(5736)，{<1722>}{<3739>}人必說<3004>(5692)：『不生育的<4723>，和<2532>{<2836>}未<3756>曾懷胎<1080>(5656)<3739>的，{<2532>}{<3149>}未<3756>曾乳養<5142>(5656)嬰孩{<3739>}的，有福了<3107>！』
For<3754>, behold<2400>(5628), the days<2250> are coming<2064>(5736), in<1722> the which<3739> they shall say<2046>(5692), Blessed<3107> are the barren<4723>, and<2532> the wombs<2836> that<3739> never<3756> bare<1080>(5656), and<2532> the paps<3149> which<3739> never<3756> gave suck<2337>(5656).
23:30 那時<5119>，人要{<757>}{(5698)}向大山<3735>說<3004>(5721)：倒<4098>(5657)在<1909>我們<1473>身上！{<2532>}向小山<1015>說：遮蓋<2572>(5657)我們<1473>！
Then<5119> shall they begin<756>(5698) to say<3004>(5721) to the mountains<3735>, Fall<4098>(5628) on<1909> us<2248>; and<2532> to the hills<1015>, Cover<2572>(5657) us<2248>.
23:31 「{<3754>}{<1487>}這些事<3778>既行<4160>(5719)在<1722>有汁水的<5200>樹<3586>上，{<1722>}那枯乾的<3584>樹將來{<1096>}{(5667)}怎麼樣<5101>呢？」
For<3754> if<1487> they do<4160>(5719) these things<5023> in<1722> a green<5200> tree<3586>, what<5101> shall be done<1096>(5638) in<1722> the dry<3584>?
23:32 {<1161>}又<2532>有兩個<1417>{<2087>}犯人<2557>，和<4862>耶穌{<846>}一同帶來<71>(5712)處死<337>(5683)。
And<1161> there were also<2532> two<1417> other<2087>, malefactors<2557>, led<71>(5712) with<4862> him<846> to be put to death<337>(5683).
23:33 {<2532>}{<3753>}到了<2064>(5656)<1909>一個地方<5117>，{<3588>}名叫<2564>(5746)「髑髏地<2898>」，就在那裡<1563>把耶穌{<846>}釘在十字架<4717>(5656)上，又<2532>釘了兩個犯人<2557>：{<3303>}一個{<3739>}在<1537>左邊<710>，{<1161>}一個{<3739>}在<1537>右邊<1188>。

And<1161> the soldiers<4757> also<2532> mocked<1702>(5707) him<846>, coming<4334>(5740) to him, and<2532> offering<4374>(5723) him<846> vinegar<3690>,
23:37 {<2532>}說<3004>(5723)：「你<4771>若<1487>是<1510>(5719)猶太人<2453>的王<935>，可以救<4982>(5657)自己{<4572>}吧！」
And<2532> saying<3004>(5723), If<1487> thou<4771> be<1488>(5748) the king<935> of the Jews<2453>, save<4982>(5657) thyself<4572>.
23:38 {<1161>}在<1909>耶穌{<846>}以上{<2532>}有<1510>(5707)一個牌子<1923>（有古卷加：用希臘、羅馬、希伯來的文字）寫著：「這<3778>是猶太人<2453>的王<935>。」
And<1161> a superscription<1923> also<2532> was<2258>(5713) written<1125>(5772) over<1909> him<846> in letters<1121> of Greek<1673>, and<2532> Latin<4513>, and<2532> Hebrew<1444>, THIS<3778> IS<2076>(5748) THE KING<935> OF THE JEWS<2453>.
23:39 {<1161>}那同釘<2910>(5685)的兩個犯人<2557>有一個<1520>譏笑<987>(5707)他<846>，說<3004>(5723)：「你<4771>不是<3780><1510>(5719)基督<5547>嗎？可以救<4982>(5657)自己{<4572>}和<2532>我們<1473>吧！」
And<1161> one<1520> of the malefactors<2557> which were hanged<2910>(5685) railed<987>(5707) on him<846>, saying<3004>(5723), If<1487> thou<4771> be<1488>(5748) Christ<5547>, save<4982>(5657) thyself<4572> and<2532> us<2248>.
23:40 {<1161>}那一個<2087>就應聲<611>(5679)責備<2008>(5723)他<846>，說<5346>(5656)：「{<3754>}你<4771>既是<1510>(5719){<1722>}一樣<846>受刑<2917>的，還不<3761>怕<5399>(5743)上帝<2316>嗎？
But<1161> the other<2087> answering<611>(5679) rebuked<2008>(5707) him<846>, saying<3004>(5723), Dost<5399><0> not<3761> thou<4771> fear<5399>(5736) God<2316>, seeing<3754> thou art<1488>(5748) in<1722> the same<846> condemnation<2917>?
23:41 {<2532>}我們<1473>是{<3303>}應該的<1346>，因<1063>我們{<3739>}所受<618>(5719)的與我們所做<4238>(5656)的相稱<514>，但<1161>這個人<3778>沒有<3762>做過<4238>(5656)一件不好的<824>事。」
And<2532> we<2249> indeed<3303> justly<1346>; for<1063> we receive<618>(5719) the due reward<514> of our<3739> deeds<4238>(5656): but<1161> this man<3778> hath done<4238>(5656) nothing<3762> amiss<824>.
23:42 就<2532>說<3004>(5707)：「耶穌<2424>啊，{<3752>}你<4771>得國<932>降臨<2064>(5661)<1519>的時候，求你記念<3403>(5682)我<1473>！」
And<2532> he said<3004>(5707) unto Jesus<2424>, Lord<2962>, remember<3415>(5682) me<3450> when<3752> thou comest<2064>(5632) into<1722> thy<4675> kingdom<932>.
23:43 {<2532>}耶穌對他<846>說<3004>(5656)：「我實在<281>告訴<3004>(5719)你<4771>，今日<4594>你要<1510>(5695)同<3326>我<1473>在<1722>樂園<3857>裡了。」

23:44 {<2532>}那時約<2235><5616>有<1510>(5707)午正<1623><5610>，{<1909>}遍<3650>地<1093>都<2532>{<1096>}{(5662)}黑暗<4655>了，直到<2193>申初<1766><5610>，

And<2532> the sun<2246> was darkened<4654>(5681), and<2532> the veil<2665> of the temple<3485> was rent<4977>(5681) in the midst<3319>.
23:46 {<2532>}耶穌<2424>大<3173>聲<5456>喊著<5455>(5660)說<3004>(5656)：「父<3962>啊！我將我的<1473>靈魂<4151>交<3908>(5731)在<1519>你<4771>手<5495>裡。」{<1161>}說了<3004>(5660)這話<3778>，氣就斷了<1606>(5656)。
