Then<1161> answered<611>(5679) Peter<4074>, and said<2036>(5627) unto Jesus<2424>, Lord<2962>, it is<2076>(5748) good<2570> for us<2248> to be<1511>(5750) here<5602>: if<1487> thou wilt<2309>(5719), let us make<4160>(5661) here<5602> three<5140> tabernacles<4633>; one<3391> for thee<4671>, and<2532> one<3391> for Moses<3475>, and<2532> one<3391> for Elias<2243>.

While he<846> yet<2089> spake<2980>(5723), behold<2400>(5628), a bright<5460> cloud<3507> overshadowed<1982>(5656) them<846>: and<2532> behold<2400>(5628) a voice<5456> out of<1537> the cloud<3507>, which said<3004>(5723), This<3778> is<2076>(5748) my<3450> beloved<27> Son<5207>, in<1722> whom<3739> I am well pleased<2106>(5656); hear ye<191>(5720) him<846>.
6 {<2532>}門徒<3101>聽見<191>(5660)，就俯伏<4098>(5656){<846>}{<4383>}在<1909>地，{<2532>}極其<4970>害怕<5399>(5681)。
And<2532> when the disciples<3101> heard<191>(5660) it , they fell<4098>(5627) on<1909> their<846> face<4383>, and<2532> were sore<4970> afraid<5399>(5675).
7 {<2532>}耶穌<2424>進前來<4334>(5656)，摸<681>(5671)他們<846>，{<2532>}說<3004>(5656)：「起來<1453>(5682)，{<2532>}不要<3361>害怕<5399>(5744)！」
And<2532> Jesus<2424> came<4334>(5631) and touched<680>(5662) them<846>, and<2532> said<2036>(5627), Arise<1453>(5682), and<2532> be<5399><0> not<3361> afraid<5399>(5737).
8 {<1161>}他們<846>舉<1869>(5660)目<3788>不<3762>見<3708>(5656)一人，只{<1487>}{<3361>}<3441>見耶穌<2424>{<846>}在那裡。
And<1161> when they had lifted up<1869>(5660) their<846> eyes<3788>, they saw<1492>(5627) no man<3762>, save<1508> Jesus<2424> only<3441>.
9 {<2532>}{<846>}下<2597>(5723){<1537>}山<3735>的時候，耶穌<2424>吩咐<1781>(5662)他們<846>說<3004>(5723)：「人<444>子<5207>還沒有{<2193>}{<3739>}從<1537>死<3498>裡復活<1453>(5686)，你們不要<3367>將所看見的<3705>告訴<3004>(5661)人。」
And<2532> as they<846> came down<2597>(5723) from<575> the mountain<3735>, Jesus<2424> charged<1781>(5662) them<846>, saying<3004>(5723), Tell<2036>(5632) the vision<3705> to no man<3367>, until<2193><3739> the Son<5207> of man<444> be risen again<450>(5632) from<1537> the dead<3498>.
10 {<2532>}門徒<3101>問<1905>(5656)耶穌{<846>}說<3004>(5723)：「文士<1122>為甚麼<5101>{<3767>}說<3004>(5719){<3754>}以利亞<2243>必須<1163>(5719)先<4413>來<2064>(5658)？」
And<2532> his<846> disciples<3101> asked<1905>(5656) him<846>, saying<3004>(5723), Why<5101> then<3767> say<3004>(5719) the scribes<1122> that<3754> Elias<2243> must<1163>(5748) first<4412> come<2064>(5629)?
11 {<1161>}耶穌回答<611>(5679)說<3004>(5656)：「以利亞<2243>固然<3303>先來<2064>(5736)，並<2532>要復興<600>(5692)萬事<3956>；
And<1161> Jesus<2424> answered<611>(5679) and said<2036>(5627) unto them<846>, Elias<2243> truly<3303> shall first<4412> come<2064>(5736), and<2532> restore<600>(5692) all things<3956>.
12 只是<1161>我告訴<3004>(5719)你們<4771>，{<3754>}以利亞<2243>已經<2235>來了<2064>(5656)，人卻<2532>不<3756>認識<1921>(5656)他<846>，竟<235>任<3745>意<2309>(5656)待<4160>(5656){<1722>}他<846>。人<444>子<5207>也<2532>將要<3195>(5719)這樣<3779>受<5259>他們的<846>害<3958>(5721)。」
But<1161> I say<3004>(5719) unto you<5213>, That<3754> Elias<2243> is come<2064>(5627) already<2235>, and<2532> they knew<1921>(5627) him<846> not<3756>, but<235> have done<4160>(5656) unto<1722> him<846> whatsoever<3745> they listed<2309>(5656). Likewise<3779> shall<3195>(5719) also<2532> the Son<5207> of man<444> suffer<3958>(5721) of<5259> them<846>.
13 門徒<3101>這才<5119>明白<4920>(5656){<3754>}耶穌所說<3004>(5656){<846>}的是指著<4012>施洗的<910>約翰<2491>。
Then<5119> the disciples<3101> understood<4920>(5656) that<3754> he spake<2036>(5627) unto them<846> of<4012> John<2491> the Baptist<910>.
14 {<2532>}耶穌和門徒到了<2064>(5660){<4314>}眾人<3793>那裡，有一個人<444>來<4334>(5656)見耶穌<846>，跪下<1120>(5723){<846>}，
And<2532> when they<846> were come<2064>(5631) to<4314> the multitude<3793>, there came<4334>(5627) to him<846> a certain man<444>, kneeling down<1120>(5723) to him<846>, and<2532> saying<3004>(5723),
15 {<2532>}說<3004>(5723)：「主啊<2962>，憐憫<1653>(5657)我的<1473>兒子<5207>！{<3754>}他害<3958>(5719)癲癇<4583>(5736)的病{<2532>}很苦<2560>，{<1063>}屢次<4178>跌<4098>(5719)在<1519>火<4442>裡，{<2532>}屢次<4178>跌在<1519>水<5204>裡。
Lord<2962>, have mercy<1653>(5657) on my<3450> son<5207>: for<3754> he is lunatick<4583>(5736), and<2532> sore<2560> vexed<3958>(5719): for<1063> ofttimes<4178> he falleth<4098>(5719) into<1519> the fire<4442>, and<2532> oft<4178> into<1519> the water<5204>.
16 {<2532>}我帶<4374>(5656)他<846>到你<4771>門徒<3101>那裡，他們卻<2532>不<3756>能<1410>(5675)醫治<2323>(5658)他<846>。」
And<2532> I brought<4374>(5656) him<846> to thy<4675> disciples<3101>, and<2532> they could<1410>(5675) not<3756> cure<2323>(5658) him<846>.
17 {<1161>}耶穌<2424>{<611>}{(5679)}說<3004>(5656)：「噯<5599>！這又不信<571>又<2532>悖謬的<1294>(5772)世代<1074>啊，我在<1510>(5695){<3326>}你們<4771>這裡要到<2193>幾時<4219>呢？我忍耐<430>(5698)你們<4771>要到<2193>幾時<4219>呢？把他<846>帶到<5342>(5720)我<1473>這裡<5602>來吧！」
Then<1161> Jesus<2424> answered<611>(5679) and said<2036>(5627), O<5599> faithless<571> and<2532> perverse<1294>(5772) generation<1074>, how long<2193><4219> shall I be<2071>(5704) with<3326> you<5216>? how long<2193><4219> shall I suffer<430>(5695) you<5216>? bring<5342>(5720) him<846> hither<5602> to me<3427>.
18 {<2532>}耶穌<2424>斥責<2008>(5656)那鬼<1140>，鬼{<846>}就<2532>{<575>}{<846>}出來<1831>(5656)；從<575>此<1565><5610>孩子<3816>就<2532>痊癒了<2323>(5681)。
And<2532> Jesus<2424> rebuked<2008>(5656) the devil<1140>; and<2532> he<846> departed<1831>(5627) out of<575> him<846>: and<2532> the child<3816> was cured<2323>(5681) from<575> that very<1565> hour<5610>.
19 {<5119>}門徒<3101>暗暗地<2596><2398>到<4334>(5660)耶穌<2424>跟前，說<3004>(5656)：「我們<1473>為甚麼<1223><5101>不<3756>能<1410>(5675)趕出<1544>(5658)那鬼{<846>}呢？」
Then<5119> came<4334>(5631) the disciples<3101> to Jesus<2424> apart<2596><2398>, and said<2036>(5627), Why<1302> could<1410>(5675) not<3756> we<2249> cast<1544><0> him<846> out<1544>(5629)?
20 {<1161>}耶穌說<3004>(5719){<846>}：「是因<1223>你們的<4771>信心小<3639a>。{<1063>}我實在<281>告訴<3004>(5719)你們<4771>，你們若<1437>有<2192>(5725)信心<4102>，像<5613>一粒<2848>芥菜種<4615>，就是對這座<3778>山<3735>說<3004>(5692)：『你從這邊<1759a>挪到<3327>(5657)那邊<1563>』，它也<2532>必挪去<3327>(5695)；並且<2532>你們<4771>沒有<3762>一件不能做<101>(5692)的事了。
And<1161> Jesus<2424> said<2036>(5627) unto them<846>, Because<1223> of your<5216> unbelief<570>: for<1063> verily<281> I say<3004>(5719) unto you<5213>, If<1437> ye have<2192>(5725) faith<4102> as<5613> a grain<2848> of mustard seed<4615>, ye shall say<2046>(5692) unto this<5129> mountain<3735>, Remove<3327>(5628) hence<1782> to yonder place<1563>; and<2532> it shall remove<3327>(5695); and<2532> nothing<3762> shall be impossible<101>(5692) unto you<5213>.
21 至於<1161>這<3778>一類<1085>的鬼，若不<1508>{<1722>}禱告<4335>、{<2532>}禁食<3521>，他就不<3756>出來<1607>(5736)（或譯：不能趕他出來）。」
Howbeit<1161> this<5124> kind<1085> goeth<1607><0> not<3756> out<1607>(5736) but<1508> by<1722> prayer<4335> and<2532> fasting<3521>.
22 {<1161>}他們<846>還住<4962>(5746)在<1722>{<3588>}加利利<1056>的時候，{<3588>}耶穌<2424>對門徒{<846>}說<3004>(5656)：「{<3588>}人<444>{<3588>}子<5207>將要<3195>(5719)被交<3860>(5745)在<1519>人<444>手<5495>裡。
And<1161> while they<846> abode<390>(5746) in<1722> Galilee<1056>, Jesus<2424> said<2036>(5627) unto them<846>, The Son<5207> of man<444> shall be<3195>(5719) betrayed<3860>(5745) into<1519> the hands<5495> of men<444>:
23 {<2532>}他們要殺害<615>(5692)他<846>，<2532>第三<5154>日<2250>他要復活<1453>(5701)。」門徒就<2532>大大地<4970>憂愁<3076>(5681)。
And<2532> they shall kill<615>(5692) him<846>, and<2532> the third<5154> day<2250> he shall be raised again<1453>(5701). And<2532> they were exceeding<4970> sorry<3076>(5681).
24 {<1161>}{<846>}到了<2064>(5660){<1519>}迦百農<2584>，有收<2983>(5723)丁稅<1323>的人來<4334>(5656)見彼得<4074>，{<2532>}說<3004>(5656)：「你們的<4771>先生<1320>不<3756>納<5055>(5719)丁稅<1323>（丁稅約有半塊錢）嗎？」
And<1161> when they<846> were come<2064>(5631) to<1519> Capernaum<2584>, they that received<2983>(5723) tribute<1323> money came<4334>(5656) to Peter<4074>, and<2532> said<2036>(5627), Doth<5055><0> not<3756> your<5216> master<1320> pay<5055>(5719) tribute<1323>? {tribute: called in the original, didrachma, being in value fifteen pence sterling; about thirty seven cents}
25 彼得說<3004>(5719)：「納{<3483>}。」{<2532>}他進了<2064>(5660){<1519>}屋子<3614>，耶穌<2424>先<4399>(5656)向他<846>說<3004>(5723)：「西門<4613>，你的<4771>意思<1380>(5719)如何<5101>？世上<1093>的君王<935>向<575>誰<5101>征收<2983>(5719)關稅<5056>、{<2228>}丁稅<2778>？是向<575>自己的<846>兒子<5207>呢？{<2228>}是向<575>外人<245>呢？」
He saith<3004>(5719), Yes<3483>. And<2532> when<3753> he was come<1525>(5627) into<1519> the house<3614>, Jesus<2424> prevented<4399>(5656) him<846>, saying<3004>(5723), What<5101> thinkest<1380>(5719) thou<4671>, Simon<4613>? of<575> whom<5101> do<2983><0> the kings<935> of the earth<1093> take<2983>(5719) custom<5056> or<2228> tribute<2778>? of<575> their own<846> children<5207>, or<2228> of<575> strangers<245>?
26 {<1161>}彼得說<3004>(5660)：「是向<575>外人<245>。」耶穌<2424>說<5346>(5656){<846>}：「既然如此<686><1065>，兒子<5207>就可以<1510>(5719)免稅了<1658>。
Peter<4074> saith<3004>(5719) unto him<846>, Of<575> strangers<245>. Jesus<2424> saith<5346>(5713) unto him<846>, Then<686> are<1526>(5748) the children<5207> free<1658>.
27 但<1161>恐怕<2443><3361>觸犯（觸犯：原文是絆倒<4624>(5661)）他們<846>，你且往<1519>海<2281>邊去<4198>(5679)釣魚{<906>}{(5657)}{<44>}，{<2532>}把先<4413>釣上來<305>(5660)的魚<2486>拿起來<142>(5657)，{<2532>}開了<455>(5660)牠的<846>口<4750>，必得<2147>(5692)一塊錢<4715>，可以<1565>拿去<2983>(5660)給<1325>(5657)他們<846>，作<473>你<4771>{<2532>}我<1473>的稅銀。」
Notwithstanding<1161>, lest<3363> we should offend<4624>(5661) them<846>, go thou<4198>(5679) to<1519> the sea<2281>, and cast<906>(5628) an hook<44>, and<2532> take up<142>(5657) the fish<2486> that first<4412> cometh up<305>(5631); and<2532> when thou hast opened<455>(5660) his<846> mouth<4750>, thou shalt find<2147>(5692) a piece of money<4715>: that<1565> take<2983>(5631), and give<1325>(5628) unto them<846> for<473> me<1700> and<2532> thee<4675>. {a piece...: or, a stater: it is half an ounce of silver, in value two shillings and six pence, sterling; about fifty five cents}
