3:1 耶和華<03068>的話<01697>二次<08145>臨<01961>到<0413>約拿<03124>說<09001><0559>(8800)：
And the word<01697> of the LORD<03068> came unto Jonah<03124> the second<08145> time, saying<0559>(8800),
3:2 「你起來<06965>(8798)！往<0413>尼尼微<05210>大<01419>城<05892>去<03212>(8798)，向<0413>其中的居民宣告<07121>(8798){<0853>}我<0595>所<0834>吩咐<01696>(8802)你<0413>的話<07150>。」
Arise<06965>(8798), go<03212>(8798) unto Nineveh<05210>, that great<01419> city<05892>, and preach<07121>(8798) unto it the preaching<07150> that I bid<01696>(8802) thee.
3:3 約拿<03124>便照耶和華<03068>的話<09003><01697>起來<06965>(8799)，往<0413>尼尼微<05210>去<03212>(8799)。這尼尼微<05210>是<01961>極<09001><0430>大<01419>的城<05892>，有三<07969>日<03117>的路程<04109>。
So Jonah<03124> arose<06965>(8799), and went<03212>(8799) unto Nineveh<05210>, according to the word<01697> of the LORD<03068>. Now Nineveh<05210> was an exceeding<0430> great<01419> city<05892> of three<07969> days<03117>' journey<04109>. {exceeding: Heb. of God}
3:4 約拿<03124>{<02490>}{(8686)}進<09001><0935>(8800)城<09002><05892>走了<04109>一日<03117><0259>，宣告<07121>(8799)說<0559>(8799)：「再等<05750>四十<0705>日<03117>，尼尼微<05210>必傾覆<02015>(8737)了！」
And Jonah<03124> began<02490>(8686) to enter<0935>(8800) into the city<05892> a<0259> day's<03117> journey<04109>, and he cried<07121>(8799), and said<0559>(8799), Yet forty<0705> days<03117>, and Nineveh<05210> shall be overthrown<02015>(8737).
3:5 尼尼微<05210>人<0582>信服<0539>(8686)　神<09002><0430>，便宣告<07121>(8799)禁食<06685>，從最大的<04480><01419>到<05704>至小的<06996>都穿<03847>(8799)麻衣<08242>（或譯：披上麻布）。
So the people<0582> of Nineveh<05210> believed<0539>(8686) God<0430>, and proclaimed<07121>(8799) a fast<06685>, and put<03847>(8799) on sackcloth<08242>, from the greatest<01419> of them even to the least<06996> of them.
3:6 這信息<01697>傳<05060>(8799)到<0413>尼尼微<05210>王<04428>的耳中，他就下<06965>(8799)了寶座<04480><03678>，脫下<05674>(8686)朝服<0155>{<04480>}{<05921>}，披上<03680>(8762)麻布<08242>，坐<03427>(8799)在<05921>灰<0665>中。
For word<01697> came<05060>(8799) unto the king<04428> of Nineveh<05210>, and he arose<06965>(8799) from his throne<03678>, and he laid<05674>(8686) his robe<0155> from him, and covered<03680>(8762) him with sackcloth<08242>, and sat<03427>(8799) in ashes<0665>.
3:7 他又使人遍告<02199>(8686)尼尼微<09002><05210>通城，說<0559>(8799)：「王<04428>和大臣<01419>有令<04480><02940>{<09001>}{<0559>}{(8800)}，人<0120>不可<0408>嘗<02938>(8799)甚麼<03972>，牲畜<0929>、牛<01241>羊<06629>不可<0408>吃草<07462>(8799)，也不可<0408>喝<08354>(8799)水<04325>。
And he caused it to be proclaimed<02199>(8686) and published<0559>(8799) through Nineveh<05210> by the decree<02940> of the king<04428> and his nobles<01419>, saying<0559>(8800), Let neither man<0120> nor beast<0929>, herd<01241> nor flock<06629>, taste<02938>(8799) any thing<03972>: let them not feed<07462>(8799), nor drink<08354>(8799) water<04325>: {published: Heb. said} {nobles: Heb. great men}
3:8 人<0120>與牲畜<0929>都當披上<03680>(8691)麻布<08242>；人要切切<09002><02394>求告<07121>(8799){<0413>}　神<0430>。各人<0376>回頭<07725>(8799)離開所行的惡<07451>道<04480><01870>，丟棄<04480>{<0834>}手<09002><03709>中的強暴<02555>。
But let man<0120> and beast<0929> be covered<03680>(8691) with sackcloth<08242>, and cry<07121>(8799) mightily<02394> unto God<0430>: yea, let them turn<07725>(8799) every one<0376> from his evil<07451> way<01870>, and from the violence<02555> that is in their hands<03709>.
3:9 或者　神<0430>轉意<07725>(8799)後悔<05162>(8738)，不發<07725>(8804)烈<04480><02740>怒<0639>，使我們不<03808>致滅亡<06>(8799)，也未可{<04310>}知<03045>(8802)。」
Who can tell<03045>(8802) if God<0430> will turn<07725>(8799) and repent<05162>(8738), and turn away<07725>(8804) from his fierce<02740> anger<0639>, that we perish<06>(8799) not?
3:10 於是　神<0430>察看<07200>(8799){<0853>}他們的行為<04639>，{<03588>}見他們離開<07725>(8804)惡<07451>道<04480><01870>，他{<0430>}就後悔<05162>(8735){<05921>}，不<03808>把所<0834>說的<01696>(8765)災禍<07451>降<09001><06213>(8800)與他們<09001>了{<06213>}{(8804)}。
And God<0430> saw<07200>(8799) their works<04639>, that they turned<07725>(8804) from their evil<07451> way<01870>; and God<0430> repented<05162>(8735) of the evil<07451>, that he had said<01696>(8765) that he would do<06213>(8800) unto them; and he did<06213>(8804) it not.
