7:1 主<0136>耶和華<03069>指示我<07200>(8689)一件事<03541>：{<02009>}為王<04428>割菜<01488>（或譯：草）之後<0310>，菜又發生<03954>；剛<09002><08462>發<05927>(8800)生<03954>的時候，主造<03335>(8802)蝗蟲<01462>。
Thus hath the Lord<0136> GOD<03069> shewed<07200>(8689) unto me; and, behold, he formed<03335>(8802) grasshoppers<01462> in the beginning<08462> of the shooting up<05927>(8800) of the latter growth<03954>; and, lo, it was the latter growth<03954> after<0310> the king's<04428> mowings<01488>. {grasshoppers: or, green worms}
7:2 {<01961>}{<0518>}蝗蟲吃<09001><0398>(8800)盡<03615>(8765){<0853>}那地<0776>的青物<06212>，我就說<0559>(8799)：「主<0136>耶和華<03069>啊，求<04994>你赦免<05545>(8798)；因為<03588>雅各<03290>微弱<06996>，他<01931>怎能<04310>站立得住<06965>(8799)呢？」
And it came to pass, that when they had made an end<03615>(8765) of eating<0398>(8800) the grass<06212> of the land<0776>, then I said<0559>(8799), O Lord<0136> GOD<03069>, forgive<05545>(8798), I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob<03290> arise<06965>(8799)? for he is small<06996>. {by...: or, who of (or, for,) Jacob shall stand?}
7:3 耶和華<03068>就後悔<05162>(8738){<05921>}{<02063>}，{<03068>}說<0559>(8804)：「這災可以<01961>免了<03808>。」
The LORD<03068> repented<05162>(8738) for this: It shall not be, saith<0559>(8804) the LORD<03068>.
7:4 主<0136>耶和華<03069>又指示我<07200>(8689)一件事<03541>：{<02009>}他<0136><03069>命<07121>(8802)火<09002><0784>來懲罰<09001><07378>(8800)以色列，火就吞滅<0398>(8799){<0853>}深<07227>淵<08415>，險些將<0853>地<02506>燒滅<0398>(8804)。
Thus hath the Lord<0136> GOD<03069> shewed<07200>(8689) unto me: and, behold, the Lord<0136> GOD<03069> called<07121>(8802) to contend<07378>(8800) by fire<0784>, and it devoured<0398>(8799) the great<07227> deep<08415>, and did eat up<0398>(8804) a part<02506>.
7:5 我就說<0559>(8799)：「主<0136>耶和華<03069>啊，求<04994>你止息<02308>(8798)；因為<03588>雅各<03290>微弱<06996>，他<01931>怎能<04310>站立得住<06965>(8799)呢？」
Then said<0559>(8799) I, O Lord<0136> GOD<03069>, cease<02308>(8798), I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob<03290> arise<06965>(8799)? for he is small<06996>. {by...: or, who of (or, for,) Jacob shall stand?}
7:6 耶和華<03068>就後悔<05162>(8738){<05921>}{<02063>}，{<0136>}{<03069>}說<0559>(8804)：「這災也<01571>可<01961>免了<03808>。」
The LORD<03068> repented<05162>(8738) for this: This also shall not be, saith<0559>(8804) the Lord<0136> GOD<03069>.
7:7 他又指示我<07200>(8689)一件事<03541>：{<02009>}有一道牆<02346>是按準繩<0594>建築的，主<0136>手拿<09002><03027>準繩<0594>站<05324>(8737)在其上<05921>。
Thus he shewed<07200>(8689) me: and, behold, the Lord<0136> stood<05324>(8737) upon a wall<02346> made by a plumbline<0594>, with a plumbline<0594> in his hand<03027>.
7:8 耶和華<03068>對我<0413>說<0559>(8799)：「阿摩司<05986>啊，你<0859>看見<07200>(8802)甚麼<04100>？」我說<0559>(8799)：「看見準繩<0594>。」主<0136>說<0559>(8799)：「{<02009>}我要吊起<07760>(8802)準繩<0594>在我民<05971>以色列<03478>中<09002><07130>，我必不<03808>再<03254>(8686)<05750>寬恕<05674>(8800)他們<09001>。
And the LORD<03068> said<0559>(8799) unto me, Amos<05986>, what seest<07200>(8802) thou? And I said<0559>(8799), A plumbline<0594>. Then said<0559>(8799) the Lord<0136>, Behold, I will set<07760>(8802) a plumbline<0594> in the midst<07130> of my people<05971> Israel<03478>: I will not again<03254>(8686) pass by<05674>(8800) them any more:
7:9 以撒<03446>的邱壇<01116>必然淒涼<08074>(8738)，以色列<03478>的聖所<04720>必然荒廢<02717>(8799)。我必興起<06965>(8804)，用刀<09002><02719>攻擊<05921>耶羅波安<03379>的家<01004>。」
And the high places<01116> of Isaac<03446> shall be desolate<08074>(8738), and the sanctuaries<04720> of Israel<03478> shall be laid waste<02717>(8799); and I will rise<06965>(8804) against the house<01004> of Jeroboam<03379> with the sword<02719>.
7:10 伯特利<01008>的祭司<03548>亞瑪謝<0558>打發<07971>(8799)人到<0413>以色列<03478>王<04428>耶羅波安<03379>那裡，說<09001><0559>(8800)：「阿摩司<05986>在以色列<03478>家<01004>中<09002><07130>圖謀<07194>(8804)背叛你<05921>；{<0853>}他所說的一切<03605>話<01697>，這國<0776>擔當<09001><03557>(8687)不<03808>起<03201>(8799)；
Then Amaziah<0558> the priest<03548> of Bethel<01008> sent<07971>(8799) to Jeroboam<03379> king<04428> of Israel<03478>, saying<0559>(8800), Amos<05986> hath conspired<07194>(8804) against thee in the midst<07130> of the house<01004> of Israel<03478>: the land<0776> is not able<03201>(8799) to bear<03557>(8687) all his words<01697>.
7:11 因為<03588>阿摩司<05986>如此<03541>說<0559>(8804)：『耶羅波安<03379>必被刀<09002><02719>殺<04191>(8799)，以色列民<03478>定<01540>(8800)被擄去<01540>(8799)離開<04480><05921>本地<0127>。』」
For thus Amos<05986> saith<0559>(8804), Jeroboam<03379> shall die<04191>(8799) by the sword<02719>, and Israel<03478> shall surely<01540>(8800) be led away captive<01540>(8799) out of their own land<0127>.
7:12 亞瑪謝<0558>又對<0413>阿摩司<05986>說<0559>(8799)：「你<09001>這先見<02374>哪，要逃<01272>(8798)往<0413>猶大<03063>地<0776>去<03212>(8798)，在那裡<08033>糊口<0398>(8798)<03899>，在那裡<08033>說預言<05012>(8735)，
Also Amaziah<0558> said<0559>(8799) unto Amos<05986>, O thou seer<02374>, go<03212>(8798), flee thee away<01272>(8798) into the land<0776> of Judah<03063>, and there eat<0398>(8798) bread<03899>, and prophesy<05012>(8735) there:
7:13 卻不要<03808>在伯特利<01008>再<03254>(8686)<05750>說預言<09001><05012>(8736)；因為<03588>這裡有<01931>王<04428>的聖所<04720>，有<01931>王<04467>的宮殿<01004>。」
But prophesy<05012>(8736) not again<03254>(8686) any more at Bethel<01008>: for it is the king's<04428> chapel<04720>, and it is the king's<04467> court<01004>. {chapel: or, sanctuary} {king's court: Heb. house of the kingdom}
7:14 阿摩司<05986>對<0413>亞瑪謝<0558>說{<06030>}{(8799)}<0559>(8799)：「我<0595>原不是<03808>先知<05030>，也不是<03808>先知<05030>的門徒（原文是兒子<01121>）。我是<0595>{<03588>}牧人<0951>，又是<0595>修理<01103>(8802)桑樹<08256>的。
Then answered<06030>(8799) Amos<05986>, and said<0559>(8799) to Amaziah<0558>, I was no prophet<05030>, neither was I a prophet's<05030> son<01121>; but I was an herdman<0951>, and a gatherer<01103>(8802) of sycomore fruit<08256>: {sycomore...: or, wild figs}
7:15 耶和華<03068>選召我<03947>(8799)，使我不跟從<04480><0310>羊群<06629>，{<03068>}對我<0413>說<0559>(8799)：『你去<03212>(8798)向<0413>我民<05971>以色列<03478>說預言<05012>(8734)。』
And the LORD<03068> took<03947>(8799) me as I followed<0310> the flock<06629>, and the LORD<03068> said<0559>(8799) unto me, Go<03212>(8798), prophesy<05012>(8734) unto my people<05971> Israel<03478>. {as...: Heb. from behind}
7:16 亞瑪謝啊，現在<06258>你要聽<08085>(8798)耶和華<03068>的話<01697>。你<0859>說<0559>(8802)：『不要<03808>向<05921>以色列<03478>說預言<05012>(8735)，也不要<03808>向<05921>以撒<03446>家<01004>滴下預言<05197>(8686)。』
Now therefore hear<08085>(8798) thou the word<01697> of the LORD<03068>: Thou sayest<0559>(8802), Prophesy<05012>(8735) not against Israel<03478>, and drop<05197>(8686) not thy word against the house<01004> of Isaac<03446>.
7:17 所以<09001><03651>耶和華<03068>如此<03541>說<0559>(8804)：『你的妻子<0802>必在城中<09002><05892>作妓女<02181>(8799)，你的兒<01121>女<01323>必倒<05307>(8799)在刀下<09002><02719>；你的地<0127>必有人用繩子<09002><02256>量了分取<02505>(8792)，你自己<0859>必死<04191>(8799)在<05921>污穢<02931>之地<0127>。以色列民<03478>定<01540>(8800)被擄去<01540>(8799)離開<04480><05921>本地<0127>。』」
Therefore thus saith<0559>(8804) the LORD<03068>; Thy wife<0802> shall be an harlot<02181>(8799) in the city<05892>, and thy sons<01121> and thy daughters<01323> shall fall<05307>(8799) by the sword<02719>, and thy land<0127> shall be divided<02505>(8792) by line<02256>; and thou shalt die<04191>(8799) in<05921> a polluted<02931> land<0127>: and Israel<03478> shall surely<01540>(8800) go into captivity<01540>(8799) forth of his land<0127>.
