4 以色列<03478>人<01121>哪，你們當聽<08085>(8798)耶和華<03068>的話<01697>。{<03588>}耶和華<09001><03068>與<05973>這地<0776>的居民<03427>(8802)爭辯<07379>，因<03588>這地上<09002><0776>無<0369>誠實<0571>，無<0369>良善<02617>，無<0369>人認識<01847>　神<0430>。
Hear<08085>(8798) the word<01697> of the LORD<03068>, ye children<01121> of Israel<03478>: for the LORD<03068> hath a controversy<07379> with the inhabitants<03427>(8802) of the land<0776>, because there is no truth<0571>, nor mercy<02617>, nor knowledge<01847> of God<0430> in the land<0776>.
2 但起假誓<0422>(8800)，不踐前言<03584>(8763)，殺害<07523>(8800)，偷盜<01589>(8800)，姦淫<05003>(8800)，行強暴<06555>(8804)，殺人流血<09002><01818>，接連<05060>(8804)不斷{<09002>}{<01818>}。
By swearing<0422>(8800), and lying<03584>(8763), and killing<07523>(8800), and stealing<01589>(8800), and committing adultery<05003>(8800), they break out<06555>(8804), and blood<01818> toucheth<05060>(8804) blood<01818>. {blood: Heb. bloods}
3 因此<05921><03651>，這地<0776>悲哀<056>(8799)，其上<09002>的<03605>民<03427>(8802)、田野<07704>的獸<09002><02416>、空中<08064>的鳥<09002><05775>必都<03605>衰微<0535>(8797)，海<03220>中的魚<01709>也<01571>必消滅<0622>(8735)。
Therefore shall the land<0776> mourn<056>(8799), and every one that dwelleth<03427>(8802) therein shall languish<0535>(8797), with the beasts<02416> of the field<07704>, and with the fowls<05775> of heaven<08064>; yea, the fishes<01709> of the sea<03220> also shall be taken away<0622>(8735).
4 然而<0389>，人<0376>都不必<0408>爭辯<07378>(8799)，也不必<0408>指責<03198>(8686){<0376>}，因為這民<05971>與抗拒<09003><07378>(8688)祭司<03548>的人一樣。
Yet let no man<0376> strive<07378>(8799), nor reprove<03198>(8686) another<0376>: for thy people<05971> are as they that strive<07378>(8688) with the priest<03548>.
5 你這祭司必日間<03117>跌倒<03782>(8804)；先知<05030>也<01571>必夜間<03915>與你<05973>一同跌倒<03782>(8804)；我必滅絕<01820>(8804)你的母親<0517>。
Therefore shalt thou fall<03782>(8804) in the day<03117>, and the prophet<05030> also shall fall<03782>(8804) with thee in the night<03915>, and I will destroy<01820>(8804) thy mother<0517>. {destroy: Heb. cut off}
6 我的民<05971>因無<04480><01097>知識<01847>而滅亡<01820>(8738)。{<03588>}你<0859>棄掉<03988>(8804)知識<01847>，我也必棄掉你<03988>(8799)，使你不再給我<09001>作祭司<04480><03547>(8763)。你既忘<07911>(8799)了你　神<0430>的律法<08451>，我<0589>也<01571>必忘記<07911>(8799)你的兒女<01121>。
My people<05971> are destroyed<01820>(8738) for lack of knowledge<01847>: because thou hast rejected<03988>(8804) knowledge<01847>, I will also reject<03988>(8799) thee, that thou shalt be no priest<03547>(8763) to me: seeing thou hast forgotten<07911>(8799) the law<08451> of thy God<0430>, I will also forget<07911>(8799) thy children<01121>. {destroyed: Heb. cut off}
7 祭司越發增多<09003><07230>，就<03651>越發得罪<02398>(8804)我<09001>；我必使他們的榮耀<03519>變為<04171>(8686)羞辱<09002><07036>。
As they were increased<07230>, so they sinned<02398>(8804) against me: therefore will I change<04171>(8686) their glory<03519> into shame<07036>.
8 他們吃<0398>(8799)我民<05971>的贖罪祭<02403>，滿心<05315>願意<05375>(8799){<0413>}我民犯罪<05771>。
They eat up<0398>(8799) the sin<02403> of my people<05971>, and they set<05375>(8799) their heart<05315> on their iniquity<05771>. {set...: Heb. lift up their soul to}
9 {<01961>}將來民<09003><05971>如何，祭司<09003><03548>也必如何；我必因他們所行的<01870>懲罰<06485>(8804)他們<05921>，照他們所做的<04611>報應<07725>(8686)他們{<09001>}。
And there shall be, like people<05971>, like priest<03548>: and I will punish<06485>(8804) them for their ways<01870>, and reward<07725>(8686) them their doings<04611>. {punish: Heb. visit upon} {reward: Heb. cause to return}
10 他們吃<0398>(8804)，卻不<03808>得飽<07646>(8799)；行淫<02181>(8689)，而不<03808>得立後<06555>(8799)；因為<03588>他們離棄<05800>(8804){<0853>}耶和華<03068>，不遵<09001><08104>(8800)他的命。
For they shall eat<0398>(8804), and not have enough<07646>(8799): they shall commit whoredom<02181>(8689), and shall not increase<06555>(8799): because they have left off<05800>(8804) to take heed<08104>(8800) to the LORD<03068>.
11 姦淫<02184>和酒<03196>，並新酒<08492>，奪去<03947>(8799)人的心<03820>。
Whoredom<02184> and wine<03196> and new wine<08492> take away<03947>(8799) the heart<03820>.
12 我的民<05971>求問<07592>(8799)木偶<09002><06086>，以為木杖<04731>能指示<05046>(8686)他們<09001>；因為<03588>他們的淫<02183>心<07307>使他們失迷<08582>(8689)，他們就行淫<02181>(8799)離棄<04480><08478>　神<0430>，不守約束，
My people<05971> ask<07592>(8799) counsel at their stocks<06086>, and their staff<04731> declareth<05046>(8686) unto them: for the spirit<07307> of whoredoms<02183> hath caused them to err<08582>(8689), and they have gone a whoring<02181>(8799) from under their God<0430>.
13 在<05921>各山<02022>頂<07218>，{<05921>}各高岡<01389>的橡樹<0437>、楊樹<03839>、栗樹<0424>之下<08478>，獻祭<02076>(8762)燒香<06999>(8762)，因為<03588>樹影<06738>美好<02896>。所以<05921><03651>，你們的女兒<01323>淫亂<02181>(8799)，你們的新婦<03618>（或譯：兒婦；下同）行淫<05003>(8762)。
They sacrifice<02076>(8762) upon the tops<07218> of the mountains<02022>, and burn incense<06999>(8762) upon the hills<01389>, under oaks<0437> and poplars<03839> and elms<0424>, because the shadow<06738> thereof is good<02896>: therefore your daughters<01323> shall commit whoredom<02181>(8799), and your spouses<03618> shall commit adultery<05003>(8762).
14 {<05921>}你們的女兒<01323>{<03588>}淫亂<02181>(8799)，{<05921>}你們的新婦<03618>{<03588>}行淫<05003>(8762)，我卻不<03808>懲罰她們<06485>(8799)；因為<03588>你們自己<01992>離群<06504>(8762)與<05973>娼妓<02181>(8802)同居，與<05973>妓女<06948>一同獻祭<02076>(8762)。這無<03808>知<0995>(8799)的民<05971>必致傾倒<03832>(8735)。
I will not punish<06485>(8799) your daughters<01323> when they commit whoredom<02181>(8799), nor your spouses<03618> when they commit adultery<05003>(8762): for themselves are separated<06504>(8762) with whores<02181>(8802), and they sacrifice<02076>(8762) with harlots<06948>: therefore the people<05971> that doth not understand<0995>(8799) shall fall<03832>(8735). {I will not: or, Shall I not} {fall: or, be punished}
15 以色列<03478>啊，你<0859>雖然<0518>行淫<02181>(8802)，猶大<03063>卻不可<0408>犯罪<0816>(8799)。不要<0408>往吉甲<01537>去<0935>(8799)，不要<0408>上到<05927>(8799)伯‧亞文<01007>，也不要<0408>指著永生的<02416>耶和華<03068>起誓<07650>(8735)。
Though thou, Israel<03478>, play the harlot<02181>(8802), yet let not Judah<03063> offend<0816>(8799); and come<0935>(8799) not ye unto Gilgal<01537>, neither go ye up<05927>(8799) to Bethaven<01007>, nor swear<07650>(8735), The LORD<03068> liveth<02416>.
16 {<03588>}以色列<03478>倔強<05637>(8804)，猶如倔強<05637>(8802)的母牛<09003><06510>；現在<06258>耶和華<03068>要放他們<07462>(8799)，如同放羊羔<09003><03532>在寬闊之地<09002><04800>。
For Israel<03478> slideth back<05637>(8804) as a backsliding<05637>(8802) heifer<06510>: now the LORD<03068> will feed<07462>(8799) them as a lamb<03532> in a large place<04800>.
17 以法蓮<0669>親近<02266>(8803)偶像<06091>，任憑<05117>(8685)他<09001>吧！
Ephraim<0669> is joined<02266>(8803) to idols<06091>: let him alone<03240>(8685).
18 他們所喝的<05435>已經發酸<05493>(8804)，他們時常<02181>(8687)行淫<02181>(8689)，他們的官長<04043>最{<03051>}{(8798)}愛<0157>(8804)羞恥的事<07036>。
Their drink<05435> is sour<05493>(8804): they have committed whoredom<02181>(8689) continually<02181>(8687): her rulers<04043> with shame<07036> do love<0157>(8804), Give<03051>(8798) ye. {sour: Heb. gone} {rulers: Heb. shields}
19 風<07307>把他們<0853>裹<06887>(8804)在翅膀裡<09002><03671>；他們因所獻的祭<04480><02077>必致蒙羞<0954>(8799)。
The wind<07307> hath bound her up<06887>(8804) in her wings<03671>, and they shall be ashamed<0954>(8799) because of their sacrifices<02077>.
