17:1 耶和華<03068>的話<01697>臨<01961>到我<0413>說<09001><0559>(8800)：
And the word<01697> of the LORD<03068> came unto me, saying<0559>(8800),
17:2 「人<0120>子<01121>啊，你要向<0413>以色列<03478>家<01004>出<02330>(8798)謎語<02420>，設<04911>(8798)比喻<04912>，
Son<01121> of man<0120>, put forth<02330>(8798) a riddle<02420>, and speak<04911>(8798) a parable<04912> unto the house<01004> of Israel<03478>;
17:3 說<0559>(8804)主<0136>耶和華<03069>如此<03541>說<0559>(8804)：有一大<01419>鷹<05404>，翅膀<03671>大<01419>，翎毛<083>長<0750>，羽毛<05133>豐滿<04392>，彩色<07553>俱備<0834><09001>，來<0935>(8804)到<0413>黎巴嫩<03844>，將<0853>香柏樹<0730>梢<06788>擰去<03947>(8799)，
And say<0559>(8804), Thus saith<0559>(8804) the Lord<0136> GOD<03069>; A great<01419> eagle<05404> with great<01419> wings<03671>, longwinged<083><0750>, full<04392> of feathers<05133>, which had divers colours<07553>, came<0935>(8804) unto Lebanon<03844>, and took<03947>(8799) the highest branch<06788> of the cedar<0730>: {divers...: Heb. embroidering}
17:4 就是折去<06998>(8804){<0853>}香柏樹儘尖<07218>的嫩枝<03242>，叼<0935>(8686)到<0413>貿易<03667>之地<0776>，放<07760>(8804)在買賣<07402>(8802)城<09002><05892>中；
He cropped off<06998>(8804) the top<07218> of his young twigs<03242>, and carried<0935>(8686) it into a land<0776> of traffick<03667>; he set<07760>(8804) it in a city<05892> of merchants<07402>(8802).
17:5 又將<03947>(8799)以色列地<0776>的枝子<04480><02233>栽<05414>(8799)於肥<02233>田<09002><07704>裡，插<03947>(8804)在<05921>大<07227>水<04325>旁，如插<07760>(8804)柳樹<06851>，
He took<03947>(8799) also of the seed<02233> of the land<0776>, and planted<05414>(8799) it in a fruitful<02233> field<07704>; he placed<03947>(8804) it by great<07227> waters<04325>, and set<07760>(8804) it as a willow tree<06851>. {planted...: Heb. put it in a field of seed}
17:6 就漸漸生長<06779>(8799)，成為<01961>蔓延<05628>(8802)矮小<08217><06967>的葡萄樹<09001><01612>。其枝<01808>轉<09001><06437>(8800)向<0413>那鷹，其根<08328>在<01961>鷹以下<08478>，於是成了<01961>葡萄樹<09001><01612>，生出<06213>(8799)枝子<0905>，發出<07971>(8762)小枝<06288>。
And it grew<06779>(8799), and became a spreading<05628>(8802) vine<01612> of low<08217> stature<06967>, whose branches<01808> turned<06437>(8800) toward him, and the roots<08328> thereof were under him: so it became a vine<01612>, and brought forth<06213>(8799) branches<0905>, and shot<07971>(8762) forth sprigs<06288>.
17:7 又有<01961>一<0259>大<01419>鷹<05404>，翅膀<03671>大<01419>，羽毛<05133>多<07227>。{<02009>}這<02063>葡萄樹<01612>從栽種<04302>的畦<04480><06170>中向<05921>這鷹彎<03719>(8804)過<09001>根<08328>來，發出<07971>(8765)枝子<01808>，好得它的澆灌<09001><08248>(8687){<0853>}。
There was also another<0259> great<01419> eagle<05404> with great<01419> wings<03671> and many<07227> feathers<05133>: and, behold, this vine<01612> did bend<03719>(8804) her roots<08328> toward him, and shot forth<07971>(8765) her branches<01808> toward him, that he might water<08248>(8687) it by the furrows<06170> of her plantation<04302>.
17:8 這<01931>樹栽<08362>(8803)於<0413>肥<02896>田<07704>多<07227>水<04325>的旁邊<0413>，好生<09001><06213>(8800)枝子<06057>，結<09001><05375>(8800)果子<06529>，成為<09001><01961>佳美<0155>的葡萄樹<09001><01612>。
It was planted<08362>(8803) in a good<02896> soil<07704> by great<07227> waters<04325>, that it might bring forth<06213>(8800) branches<06057>, and that it might bear<05375>(8800) fruit<06529>, that it might be a goodly<0155> vine<01612>. {soil: Heb. field}
17:9 你要說<0559>(8798)，主<0136>耶和華<03069>如此<03541>說<0559>(8804)：這葡萄樹豈能發旺<06743>(8799)呢？鷹豈不<03808>拔出<05423>(8762){<0853>}它的根<08328>來，芟除<07082>(8779){<0853>}它的果子<06529>，使它枯乾<03001>(8804)，使它發<06780>的嫩葉<02964>都<03605>枯乾了<03001>(8799)嗎？也不<03808>用大<01419>力<09002><02220>和多<07227>民<09002><05971>，就拔出<09001><05375>(8800)它<0853>的根<04480><08328>來。
Say<0559>(8798) thou, Thus saith<0559>(8804) the Lord<0136> GOD<03069>; Shall it prosper<06743>(8799)? shall he not pull up<05423>(8762) the roots<08328> thereof, and cut off<07082>(8779) the fruit<06529> thereof, that it wither<03001>(8804)? it shall wither<03001>(8799) in all the leaves<02964> of her spring<06780>, even without great<01419> power<02220> or many<07227> people<05971> to pluck it up<05375>(8800) by the roots<08328> thereof.
17:10 {<02009>}葡萄樹雖然栽種<08362>(8803)，豈能發旺<06743>(8799)呢？一經<09003><05060>(8800){<09002>}東<06921>風<07307>，豈不<03808>全然<03001>(8800)枯乾<03001>(8799)嗎？必在<05921>生長<06780>的畦<06170>中枯乾了<03001>(8799)。」
Yea, behold, being planted<08362>(8803), shall it prosper<06743>(8799)? shall it not utterly<03001>(8800) wither<03001>(8799), when the east<06921> wind<07307> toucheth<05060>(8800) it? it shall wither<03001>(8799) in the furrows<06170> where it grew<06780>.
17:11 耶和華<03068>的話<01697>臨<01961>到我<0413>說<09001><0559>(8800)：
Moreover the word<01697> of the LORD<03068> came unto me, saying<0559>(8800),
17:12 「{<04994>}你對那悖逆<04805>之家<09001><01004>說<0559>(8798)：你們不<03808>知道<03045>(8804)這些事<0428>是甚麼<04100>意思麼？你要告訴<0559>(8798)他們說，{<02009>}巴比倫<0894>王<04428>曾到<0935>(8802)耶路撒冷<03389>，將<0853>其中的君王<04428>和<0853>首領<08269>帶<03947>(8799){<0853>}到巴比倫<0894>自己那裡<0413>去<0935>(8686)。
Say<0559>(8798) now to the rebellious<04805> house<01004>, Know<03045>(8804) ye not what these things mean ? tell<0559>(8798) them , Behold, the king<04428> of Babylon<0894> is come<0935>(8802) to Jerusalem<03389>, and hath taken<03947>(8799) the king<04428> thereof, and the princes<08269> thereof, and led<0935>(8686) them with him to Babylon<0894>;
17:13 從以色列的宗室<04410><04480><02233>中取<03947>(8799)一人與他<0854>立<03772>(8799)約<01285>，使他<0853>發<0935>(8686)誓<09002><0423>，並將<0853>國<0776>中有勢力的人<0352>擄去<03947>(8804)，
And hath taken<03947>(8799) of the king's<04410> seed<02233>, and made<03772>(8799) a covenant<01285> with him, and hath taken<0935>(8686) an oath<0423> of him: he hath also taken<03947>(8804) the mighty<0352> of the land<0776>: {taken an...: Heb. brought him to an oath}
17:14 使<09001><01961>國<04467>低微<08217>不能<09001><01115>自強<05375>(8692)，惟因守<09001><08104>(8800){<0853>}盟約<01285>得以存立<09001><05975>(8800)。
That the kingdom<04467> might be base<08217>, that it might not lift itself up<05375>(8692), but that by keeping<08104>(8800) of his covenant<01285> it might stand<05975>(8800). {but...: Heb. to keep his covenant, to stand to it}
17:15 他卻背叛<04775>(8799)巴比倫王<09002>，打發<09001><07971>(8800)使者<04397>往埃及<04714>去，要他們給<09001><05414>(8800)他<09001>馬匹<05483>和多<07227>民<05971>。他豈能亨通<06743>(8799)呢？行<06213>(8802)這樣事<0428>的人豈能逃脫<04422>(8735)呢？他背<06565>(8689)約<01285>豈能逃脫<04422>(8738)呢？
But he rebelled<04775>(8799) against him in sending<07971>(8800) his ambassadors<04397> into Egypt<04714>, that they might give<05414>(8800) him horses<05483> and much<07227> people<05971>. Shall he prosper<06743>(8799)? shall he escape<04422>(8735) that doeth<06213>(8802) such things ? or shall he break<06565>(8689) the covenant<01285>, and be delivered<04422>(8738)?
17:16 他<0834>輕看<0959>(8804){<0853>}向王所起的誓<0423>，{<0834>}背棄<06565>(8689){<0853>}王與他<0854>所立的約<01285>。主<0136>耶和華<03069>說<05002>(8803)：我<0589>指著我的永生<02416>起誓，他定<0518><03808>要死<04191>(8799)在立他<0853>作王<04427>(8688){<09002>}{<04725>}、巴比倫<0894>王<04428>的京都{<09002>}{<08432>}。
As I live<02416>, saith<05002>(8803) the Lord<0136> GOD<03069>, surely in the place<04725> where the king<04428> dwelleth that made him king<04427>(8688), whose oath<0423> he despised<0959>(8804), and whose covenant<01285> he brake<06565>(8689), even with him in the midst<08432> of Babylon<0894> he shall die<04191>(8799).
17:17 敵人築<09002><08210>(8800)壘<05550>造<09002><01129>(8800)臺<01785>，與他打仗<09002><04421>的時候，為要剪除<09001><03772>(8687)多<07227>人<05315>，法老<06547>雖領大<01419>軍隊<09002><02428>和大<07227>群眾<09002><06951>，還是不能<03808>幫助<06213>(8799)他<0853>。
Neither shall Pharaoh<06547> with his mighty<01419> army<02428> and great<07227> company<06951> make<06213>(8799) for him in the war<04421>, by casting up<08210>(8800) mounts<05550>, and building<01129>(8800) forts<01785>, to cut off<03772>(8687) many<07227> persons<05315>:
17:18 他輕看<0959>(8804)誓言<0423>，背棄<09001><06565>(8687)盟約<01285>，{<02009>}已經投降<05414>(8804)<03027>，卻又做<06213>(8804)這<0428>一切的<03605>事，他必不能<03808>逃脫<04422>(8735)。」
Seeing he despised<0959>(8804) the oath<0423> by breaking<06565>(8687) the covenant<01285>, when, lo, he had given<05414>(8804) his hand<03027>, and hath done<06213>(8804) all these things , he shall not escape<04422>(8735).
17:19 所以<09001><03651>主<0136>耶和華<03069>如此<03541>說<0559>(8804)：「我<0589>指著我的永生<02416>起誓，他既輕看<0959>(8804)指我所<0834>起的誓<0423>，背棄<06331>(8689)指我所<0834>立的約<01285>，我必要<0518><03808>使這罪歸<05414>(8804)在他頭<09002><07218>上。
Therefore thus saith<0559>(8804) the Lord<0136> GOD<03069>; As I live<02416>, surely mine oath<0423> that he hath despised<0959>(8804), and my covenant<01285> that he hath broken<06331>(8689), even it will I recompense<05414>(8804) upon his own head<07218>.
17:20 我必將我的網<07568>撒<06566>(8804)在他身上<05921>，他必在我的網羅<09002><04686>中纏住<08610>(8738)。我必帶他<0935>(8689)到巴比倫<0894>，並要在那裡<08033>因他干犯<04603>(8804)我<09002>的<0834>罪<04604>刑罰<08199>(8738)他<0853>。
And I will spread<06566>(8804) my net<07568> upon him, and he shall be taken<08610>(8738) in my snare<04686>, and I will bring<0935>(8689) him to Babylon<0894>, and will plead<08199>(8738) with him there for his trespass<04603>(8804) that he hath trespassed<04604> against me.
17:21 {<0853>}他的一切<09002><03605>軍隊<0102>，凡<03605>逃跑的<04015>，都必倒<05307>(8799)在刀<09002><02719>下；所剩下<07604>(8737)的，也必分散<06566>(8735)四<09001><03605>方（方：原文是風<07307>）。你們就知道<03045>(8804){<03588>}說<01696>(8765)這話的是我<0589>─耶和華<03068>。」
And all his fugitives<04015> with all his bands<0102> shall fall<05307>(8799) by the sword<02719>, and they that remain<07604>(8737) shall be scattered<06566>(8735) toward all winds<07307>: and ye shall know<03045>(8804) that I the LORD<03068> have spoken<01696>(8765) it .
17:22 主<0136>耶和華<03069>如此<03541>說<0559>(8804)：「我<0589>要將{<07311>}{(8802)}香柏樹<0730>梢<04480><06788>擰去<03947>(8804)栽上<05414>(8804)，就是從儘尖<04480><07218>的嫩枝<03127>中折<06998>(8799)一嫩<07390>枝，{<0589>}栽<08362>(8804)於<05921>極<08524>(8803)高<01364>的山<02022>上；
Thus saith<0559>(8804) the Lord<0136> GOD<03069>; I will also take<03947>(8804) of the highest branch<06788> of the high<07311>(8802) cedar<0730>, and will set<05414>(8804) it ; I will crop off<06998>(8799) from the top<07218> of his young twigs<03127> a tender one<07390>, and will plant<08362>(8804) it upon an high<01364> mountain<02022> and eminent<08524>(8803):
17:23 在以色列<03478>高處<04791>的山<09002><02022>栽上<08362>(8799)。它就生<05375>(8804)枝子<06057>，結<06213>(8804)果子<06529>，成為<01961>佳美<0117>的香柏樹<09001><0730>，各<03605>類飛<03671>{<03605>}鳥<06833>都必宿<07931>(8804)在其下<08478>，就是宿<07931>(8799)在枝子<01808>的蔭<09002><06738>下。
In the mountain<02022> of the height<04791> of Israel<03478> will I plant<08362>(8799) it: and it shall bring forth<05375>(8804) boughs<06057>, and bear<06213>(8804) fruit<06529>, and be a goodly<0117> cedar<0730>: and under it shall dwell<07931>(8804) all fowl<06833> of every wing<03671>; in the shadow<06738> of the branches<01808> thereof shall they dwell<07931>(8799).
17:24 田野<07704>的樹木<06086>都<03605>必知道<03045>(8804){<03588>}我<0589>─耶和華<03068>使高<01364>樹<06086>矮小<08213>(8689)，矮<08217>樹<06086>高大<01361>(8689)；青<03892>樹<06086>枯乾<03001>(8689)，枯<03002>樹<06086>發旺<06524>(8689)。我<0589>─耶和華<03068>如此說<01696>(8765)，也如此行了<06213>(8804)。」
And all the trees<06086> of the field<07704> shall know<03045>(8804) that I the LORD<03068> have brought down<08213>(8689) the high<01364> tree<06086>, have exalted<01361>(8689) the low<08217> tree<06086>, have dried<03001>(8689) up the green<03892> tree<06086>, and have made the dry<03002> tree<06086> to flourish<06524>(8689): I the LORD<03068> have spoken<01696>(8765) and have done<06213>(8804) it .
