Now these are the words<01697> of the letter<05612> that Jeremiah<03414> the prophet<05030> sent<07971>(8804) from Jerusalem<03389> unto the residue<03499> of the elders<02205> which were carried away captives<01473>, and to the priests<03548>, and to the prophets<05030>, and to all the people<05971> whom Nebuchadnezzar<05019> had carried away captive<01540>(8689) from Jerusalem<03389> to Babylon<0894>;

3 他藉沙番<08227>的兒子<01121>以利亞薩<0501>和希勒家<02518>的兒子<01121>基瑪利<01587>的手<09002><03027>寄去。{<0834>}他們二人是猶大<03063>王<04428>西底家<06667>打發<07971>(8804)往<0413>巴比倫<0894>去見尼布甲尼撒<05019>{<0894>}王<04428>的。
By the hand<03027> of Elasah<0501> the son<01121> of Shaphan<08227>, and Gemariah<01587> the son<01121> of Hilkiah<02518>, (whom Zedekiah<06667> king<04428> of Judah<03063> sent<07971>(8804) unto Babylon<0894> to Nebuchadnezzar<05019> king<04428> of Babylon<0894>) saying<0559>(8800),
4 信上說<09001><0559>(8800)：「萬軍<06635>之耶和華<03068>─以色列<03478>的　神<0430>對一切<09001><03605>被擄去的<01473>（就是<0834>我使他們從耶路撒冷<04480><03389>被擄<01540>(8689)到巴比倫<0894>的人）如此<03541>說<0559>(8804)：
Thus saith<0559>(8804) the LORD<03068> of hosts<06635>, the God<0430> of Israel<03478>, unto all that are carried away captives<01473>, whom I have caused to be carried away<01540>(8689) from Jerusalem<03389> unto Babylon<0894>;
5 你們要蓋造<01129>(8798)房屋<01004>，住<03427>(8798)在其中；栽種<05193>(8798)田園<01593>，吃<0398>(8798){<0853>}其中所產<06529>的；
Build<01129>(8798) ye houses<01004>, and dwell<03427>(8798) in them ; and plant<05193>(8798) gardens<01593>, and eat<0398>(8798) the fruit<06529> of them;
6 娶<03947>(8798)妻<0802>生<03205>(8685)兒<01121>女<01323>，為你們的兒子<09001><01121>娶<03947>(8798)妻<0802>，使<0853>你們的女兒<01323>嫁<05414>(8798)人<09001><0582>，生<03205>(8799)兒<01121>養女<01323>。在那裡<08033>生養眾多<07235>(8798)，不致<0408>減少<04591>(8799)。
Take<03947>(8798) ye wives<0802>, and beget<03205>(8685) sons<01121> and daughters<01323>; and take<03947>(8798) wives<0802> for your sons<01121>, and give<05414>(8798) your daughters<01323> to husbands<0582>, that they may bear<03205>(8799) sons<01121> and daughters<01121>; that ye may be increased<07235>(8798) there, and not diminished<04591>(8799).
7 我所<0834>使你們<0853>被擄<01540>(8689)到的那城<08033>，你們要為那城<05892>求<01875>(8798){<0853>}平安<07965>，為那城<01157>禱告<06419>(8690){<0413>}耶和華<03068>；因為<03588>那城得平安<09002><07965>，你們<09001>也隨著得<01961>平安<07965>。
And seek<01875>(8798) the peace<07965> of the city<05892> whither I have caused you to be carried away captives<01540>(8689), and pray<06419>(8690) unto the LORD<03068> for it: for in the peace<07965> thereof shall ye have peace<07965>.
8 {<03588>}萬軍<06635>之耶和華<03068>─以色列<03478>的　神<0430>如此<03541>說<0559>(8804)：不要<0408>被{<0834>}你們<09001>中間<09002><07130>的先知<05030>和占卜<07080>(8802)的誘惑<05377>(8686)，也不要<0408>聽信<08085>(8799){<0413>}自己<0859>所<0834>做<02492>(8688)的夢<02472>；
For thus saith<0559>(8804) the LORD<03068> of hosts<06635>, the God<0430> of Israel<03478>; Let not your prophets<05030> and your diviners<07080>(8802), that be in the midst<07130> of you, deceive<05377>(8686) you, neither hearken<08085>(8799) to your dreams<02472> which ye cause to be dreamed<02492>(8688).
9 因為<03588>他們<01992>託我的名<09002><08034>對你們<09001>說假<09002><08267>預言<05012>(8737)，我並沒有<03808>差遣他們<07971>(8804)。這是耶和華<03068>說<05002>(8803)的。
For they prophesy<05012>(8737) falsely<08267> unto you in my name<08034>: I have not sent<07971>(8804) them, saith<05002>(8803) the LORD<03068>. {falsely: Heb. in a lie}
10 「{<03588>}耶和華<03068>如此<03541>說<0559>(8804)：{<03588>}為巴比倫<09001><0894>所定<09001><06310>的七十<07657>年<08141>滿了<04390>(8800)以後，我要眷顧<06485>(8799)你們<0853>，向你們<05921>成就<06965>(8689){<0853>}我的恩<02896>言<01697>，使你們<0853>仍回<09001><07725>(8687){<0413>}此<02088>地<04725>。
For thus saith<0559>(8804) the LORD<03068>, That after<06310> seventy<07657> years<08141> be accomplished<04390>(8800) at Babylon<0894> I will visit<06485>(8799) you, and perform<06965>(8689) my good<02896> word<01697> toward you, in causing you to return<07725>(8687) to this place<04725>.
11 耶和華<03068>說<05002>(8803)：{<03588>}我<0595>知道<03045>(8804){<0853>}我<0595>向你們<05921>所<0834>懷<02803>(8802)的意念<04284>是賜平安<07965>的意念<04284>，不是<03808>降災禍<09001><07451>的意念，要叫<09001><05414>(8800)你們<09001>末後<0319>有指望<08615>。
For I know<03045>(8804) the thoughts<04284> that I think<02803>(8802) toward you, saith<05002>(8803) the LORD<03068>, thoughts<04284> of peace<07965>, and not of evil<07451>, to give<05414>(8800) you an expected<08615> end<0319>. {expected...: Heb. end and expectation}
12 你們要呼求<07121>(8804)我<0853>，{<01980>}{(8804)}禱告<06419>(8694)我<0413>，我就應允<08085>(8804)你們<0413>。
Then shall ye call<07121>(8804) upon me, and ye shall go<01980>(8804) and pray<06419>(8694) unto me, and I will hearken<08085>(8804) unto you.
13 你們尋求<01245>(8765)我<0853>，若{<03588>}專<09002><03605>心<03824>尋求我<01875>(8799)，就必尋見<04672>(8804)。
And ye shall seek<01245>(8765) me, and find<04672>(8804) me , when ye shall search<01875>(8799) for me with all your heart<03824>.
14 耶和華<03068>說<05002>(8803)：我必被你們<09001>尋見<04672>(8738)，我也必使<0853>你們被擄<07622>(8675)的人歸回<07725>(8804)，將你們<0853>從各<04480><03605>國<01471>中和我所<0834>趕<05080>(8689)你們<0853>到的<08033>各<04480><03605>處<04725>招聚了<06908>(8765)來，又將你們<0853>帶<07725>(8689)回<0413>{<0834>}我使你們<0853>被擄掠<01540>(8689)離開<04480><08033>的地方<04725>。這是耶和華<03068>說<05002>(8803)的。
And I will be found<04672>(8738) of you, saith<05002>(8803) the LORD<03068>: and I will turn away<07725>(8804) your captivity<07622>(8675)<07622>, and I will gather<06908>(8765) you from all the nations<01471>, and from all the places<04725> whither I have driven<05080>(8689) you, saith<05002>(8803) the LORD<03068>; and I will bring you again<07725>(8689) into the place<04725> whence I caused you to be carried away captive<01540>(8689).
15 「{<03588>}你們說<0559>(8804)：『耶和華<03068>在巴比倫<0894>為我們<09001>興起<06965>(8689)先知<05030>』；
Because ye have said<0559>(8804), The LORD<03068> hath raised us up<06965>(8689) prophets<05030> in Babylon<0894>;
16 所以<03588><03541>耶和華<03068>論<0559>(8804)到<0413>坐<03427>(8802)大衛<01732>{<0413>}寶座<03678>的王<04428>和<0413>住<03427>(8802)在這<02063>城裡<09002><05892>的一切<03605>百姓<05971>，就是<0834>未曾<03808>{<03318>}{(8804)}與你們<0854>一同被擄<09002><01473>的弟兄<0251>，
Know that thus saith<0559>(8804) the LORD<03068> of the king<04428> that sitteth<03427>(8802) upon the throne<03678> of David<01732>, and of all the people<05971> that dwelleth<03427>(8802) in this city<05892>, and of your brethren<0251> that are not gone forth<03318>(8804) with you into captivity<01473>;
17 萬軍<06635>之耶和華<03068>如此<03541>說<0559>(8804)：『看哪<02009>，我必使<04480><07971>(8764){<0853>}刀劍<0219>、{<0853>}饑荒<07458>、{<0853>}瘟疫<01698>臨到他們<09002>，使<05414>(8804)他們<0853>像極壞<08182>的無花果<09003><08384>，{<0834>}壞得<04480><07455>不可<03808>吃<0398>(8735)。
Thus saith<0559>(8804) the LORD<03068> of hosts<06635>; Behold, I will send<07971>(8764) upon them the sword<02719>, the famine<07458>, and the pestilence<01698>, and will make<05414>(8804) them like vile<08182> figs<08384>, that cannot be eaten<0398>(8735), they are so evil<07455>.
18 我必用刀劍<09002><02719>、饑荒<09002><07458>、瘟疫<09002><01698>追<07291>(8804)趕他們<0310>，使他們<05414>(8804)在天下<0776>萬<09001><03605>國<04467>拋來拋去<09001><02189>(8675)<02113>，在我所<0834>趕他們<05080>(8689)到的各<09002><03605>國<01471>中{<08033>}，令人咒詛<09001><0423>、驚駭<09001><08047>、嗤笑<09001><08322>、羞辱<09001><02781>。
And I will persecute<07291>(8804) them<0310> with the sword<02719>, with the famine<07458>, and with the pestilence<01698>, and will deliver<05414>(8804) them to be removed<02189>(8675)<02113> to all the kingdoms<04467> of the earth<0776>, to be a curse<0423>, and an astonishment<08047>, and an hissing<08322>, and a reproach<02781>, among all the nations<01471> whither I have driven<05080>(8689) them: {to be a curse: Heb. for a curse}
19 耶和華<03068>說<05002>(8803)：這是因為<08478><0834>他們沒有<03808>聽從<08085>(8804){<0413>}我的話<01697>，就是<0834>我從早起來<07925>(8687){<07971>}{(8800)}差遣<07971>(8804){<0853>}我僕人<05650>眾先知<05030>去<0413>說的，無奈他們不<03808>聽<08085>(8804)。這是耶和華<03068>說<05002>(8803)的。
Because they have not hearkened<08085>(8804) to my words<01697>, saith<05002>(8803) the LORD<03068>, which I sent<07971>(8804) unto them by my servants<05650> the prophets<05030>, rising up early<07925>(8687) and sending<07971>(8800) them ; but ye would not hear<08085>(8804), saith<05002>(8803) the LORD<03068>.
20 所以你們<0859>一切<03605>被擄去的<01473>，就是<0834>我從耶路撒冷<04480><03389>打發<07971>(8765)到巴比倫<0894>去的，當聽<08085>(8798)耶和華<03068>的話<01697>。』」
Hear<08085>(8798) ye therefore the word<01697> of the LORD<03068>, all ye of the captivity<01473>, whom I have sent<07971>(8765) from Jerusalem<03389> to Babylon<0894>:
21 萬軍<06635>之耶和華<03068>─以色列<03478>的　神<0430>論到<0413>哥賴雅<06964>的兒子<01121>亞哈<0256>，並<0413>瑪西雅<04641>的兒子<01121>西底家<06667>，如此<03541>說<0559>(8804)：「他們是託我名<09002><08034>向你們<09001>說假<08267>預言<05012>(8737)的，我必<02009>將他們<0853>交<05414>(8802)在巴比倫<0894>王<04428>尼布甲尼撒<05019>的手中<09002><03027>；他要在你們眼<09001><05869>前殺害他們<05221>(8689)。
Thus saith<0559>(8804) the LORD<03068> of hosts<06635>, the God<0430> of Israel<03478>, of Ahab<0256> the son<01121> of Kolaiah<06964>, and of Zedekiah<06667> the son<01121> of Maaseiah<04641>, which prophesy<05012>(8737) a lie<08267> unto you in my name<08034>; Behold, I will deliver<05414>(8802) them into the hand<03027> of Nebuchadrezzar<05019> king<04428> of Babylon<0894>; and he shall slay<05221>(8689) them before your eyes<05869>;
22 {<0834>}住巴比倫<09002><0894>一切<09001><03605>被擄的<01546>猶大人<03063>必藉這二人<04480>賭<03947>(8795)咒<07045>說<09001><0559>(8800)：『願耶和華<03068>使你<07760>(8799)像巴比倫<0894>王<04428>在火中<09002><0784>燒<07033>(8804)的<0834>西底家<09003><06667>和亞哈<09003><0256>一樣。』
And of them shall be taken up<03947>(8795) a curse<07045> by all the captivity<01546> of Judah<03063> which are in Babylon<0894>, saying<0559>(8800), The LORD<03068> make<07760>(8799) thee like Zedekiah<06667> and like Ahab<0256>, whom the king<04428> of Babylon<0894> roasted<07033>(8804) in the fire<0784>;
23 {<03282>}{<0834>}這二人是在以色列中<09002><03478>行了<06213>(8804)醜事<05039>，與<0853>鄰舍<07453>的妻<0802>行淫<05003>(8762)，又假<08267>託我名<09002><08034>說<01696>(8762){<0834>}我<0595>未<03808>曾吩咐他們<06680>(8765)的話<01697>。知道<03045>(8802)的是我<0595>，作見證<05707>的也是我。這是耶和華<03068>說<05002>(8803)的。」
Because they have committed<06213>(8804) villany<05039> in Israel<03478>, and have committed<06213>(8804) adultery<05003>(8762) with their neighbours<07453>' wives<0802>, and have spoken<01696>(8762) lying<08267> words<01697> in my name<08034>, which I have not commanded<06680>(8765) them; even I know<03045>(8802), and am a witness<05707>, saith<05002>(8803) the LORD<03068>.
24 「論<0559>(8799)到<0413>尼希蘭人<05161>示瑪雅<08098>，你當說<09001><0559>(8800)，
Thus shalt thou also speak<0559>(8799) to Shemaiah<08098> the Nehelamite<05161>, saying<0559>(8800), {Nehelamite: or, dreamer}
25 萬軍<06635>之耶和華<03068>─以色列<03478>的　神<0430>如此<03541>說<0559>(8804){<09001>}{<0559>}{(8800)}：{<03282>}{<0834>}你<0859>曾用自己的名<09002><08034>寄<07971>(8804)信<05612>給<0413>{<0834>}耶路撒冷<09002><03389>的眾<03605>民<05971>和<0413>祭司<03548>瑪西雅<04641>的兒子<01121>西番雅<06846>，並<0413>眾<03605>祭司<03548>，說<09001><0559>(8800)：
Thus speaketh<0559>(8804) the LORD<03068> of hosts<06635>, the God<0430> of Israel<03478>, saying<0559>(8800), Because thou hast sent<07971>(8804) letters<05612> in thy name<08034> unto all the people<05971> that are at Jerusalem<03389>, and to Zephaniah<06846> the son<01121> of Maaseiah<04641> the priest<03548>, and to all the priests<03548>, saying<0559>(8800),
26 『耶和華<03068>已經立你<05414>(8804)西番雅為祭司<03548>，代替<08478>祭司<03548>耶何耶大<03077>，使耶和華<03068>殿<01004>中有<09001><01961>官長<06496>，好將一切<09001><03605>狂妄<07696>(8794)自稱為先知<05012>(8693)的人<0376>用<0413>枷<04115>枷住<05414>(8804){<0853>}，用<0413>鎖<06729>鎖住。
The LORD<03068> hath made<05414>(8804) thee priest<03548> in the stead of Jehoiada<03077> the priest<03548>, that ye should be officers<06496> in the house<01004> of the LORD<03068>, for every man<0376> that is mad<07696>(8794), and maketh himself a prophet<05012>(8693), that thou shouldest put<05414>(8804) him in prison<04115>, and in the stocks<06729>.
27 現在<06258>亞拿突人<06069>耶利米<09002><03414>向你們<09001>自稱為先知<05012>(8693)，你們為何<09001><04100>沒有<03808>責備<01605>(8804)他呢？
Now therefore why hast thou not reproved<01605>(8804) Jeremiah<03414> of Anathoth<06069>, which maketh himself a prophet<05012>(8693) to you?
28 {<03588>}因為<05921><03651>他寄信<07971>(8804)給我們<0413>在巴比倫<0894>的人說<09001><0559>(8800)：被擄的事必<01931>長久<0752>。你們要蓋造<01129>(8798)房屋<01004>，住<03427>(8798)在其中；栽種<05193>(8798)田園<01593>，吃<0398>(8798){<0853>}其中所產<06529>的。』」
For therefore he sent<07971>(8804) unto us in Babylon<0894>, saying<0559>(8800), This<01931> captivity is long<0752>: build<01129>(8798) ye houses<01004>, and dwell<03427>(8798) in them ; and plant<05193>(8798) gardens<01593>, and eat<0398>(8798) the fruit<06529> of them.
29 祭司<03548>西番雅<06846>就把<0853>這<02088>信<05612>念<07121>(8799)給先知<05030>耶利米<03414>聽<09002><0241>。
And Zephaniah<06846> the priest<03548> read<07121>(8799) this letter<05612> in the ears<0241> of Jeremiah<03414> the prophet<05030>.
30 於是耶和華<03068>的話<01697>臨<01961>到<0413>耶利米<03414>說<09001><0559>(8800)：
Then came the word<01697> of the LORD<03068> unto Jeremiah<03414>, saying<0559>(8800),
31 「你當寄信<07971>(8798)給<05921>一切<03605>被擄的人<01473>說<09001><0559>(8800)：『耶和華<03068>論到<0413>尼希蘭人<05161>示瑪雅<08098>{<03541>}說<0559>(8804)：因為<03282><0834>示瑪雅<08098>向你們<09001>說預言<05012>(8738)，我<0589>並沒有<03808>差遣他<07971>(8804)，他使你們<0853>倚靠<0982>(8686){<05921>}謊言<08267>；
Send<07971>(8798) to all them of the captivity<01473>, saying<0559>(8800), Thus saith<0559>(8804) the LORD<03068> concerning Shemaiah<08098> the Nehelamite<05161>; Because that Shemaiah<08098> hath prophesied<05012>(8738) unto you, and I sent<07971>(8804) him not, and he caused you to trust<0982>(8686) in a lie<08267>:
32 所以<09001><03651>耶和華<03068>如此<03541>說<0559>(8804)：我必<02009>刑罰<06485>(8802){<05921>}尼希蘭人<05161>示瑪雅<08098>和<05921>他的後裔<02233>，他<09001>必無<03808>一人<0376>存留<01961>住<03427>(8802)在這<02088>民<05971>中<09002><08432>，也不<03808>得見<07200>(8799)我<0589>所<0834>要賜<06213>(8802)與我百姓<09001><05971>的福樂<09002><02896>，因為<03588>他向<05921>耶和華<03068>說了<01696>(8765)叛逆<05627>的話。這是耶和華<03068>說<05002>(8803)的。』」
Therefore thus saith<0559>(8804) the LORD<03068>; Behold, I will punish<06485>(8802) Shemaiah<08098> the Nehelamite<05161>, and his seed<02233>: he shall not have a man<0376> to dwell<03427>(8802) among<08432> this people<05971>; neither shall he behold<07200>(8799) the good<02896> that I will do<06213>(8802) for my people<05971>, saith<05002>(8803) the LORD<03068>; because he hath taught<01696>(8765) rebellion<05627> against the LORD<03068>. {rebellion: Heb. revolt}
