14:1 耶和華<03068>論<01697>到<05921>乾旱<01226>之災的<0834>話<01697>臨<01961>到<0413>耶利米<03414>：
The word<01697> of the LORD<03068> that came to Jeremiah<03414> concerning<01697> the dearth<01226>. {the dearth: Heb. the words of the dearths, or, restraints}
14:2 猶大<03063>悲哀<056>(8804)，城門<08179>衰敗<0535>(8797)。眾人披上黑<06937>(8804)衣坐在地<09001><0776>上；耶路撒冷<03389>的哀聲<06682>上達<05927>(8804)。
Judah<03063> mourneth<056>(8804), and the gates<08179> thereof languish<0535>(8797); they are black<06937>(8804) unto the ground<0776>; and the cry<06682> of Jerusalem<03389> is gone up<05927>(8804).
14:3 他們的貴冑<0117>打發<07971>(8804)家僮<06810>打水<09001><04325>；他們來<0935>(8804)到<05921>水池<01356>(8676)，見<04672>(8804)沒有<03808>水<04325>，就拿著空<07387>器皿<03627>，蒙羞<0954>(8804)慚愧<03637>(8717)，抱<02645>(8804)頭<07218>而回<07725>(8804)。
And their nobles<0117> have sent<07971>(8804) their little ones<06810> to the waters<04325>: they came<0935>(8804) to the pits<01356>(8676)<01360>, and found<04672>(8804) no water<04325>; they returned<07725>(8804) with their vessels<03627> empty<07387>; they were ashamed<0954>(8804) and confounded<03637>(8717), and covered<02645>(8804) their heads<07218>.
14:4 耕地的<0406>也蒙羞<0954>(8804)抱<02645>(8804)頭<07218>；因為<03588>無<03808>雨<01653>降<01961>在地<09002><0776>上，{<09002>}{<05668>}地<0127>都乾裂<02865>(8804)。
Because the ground<0127> is chapt<02865>(8804), for there was no rain<01653> in the earth<0776>, the plowmen<0406> were ashamed<0954>(8804), they covered<02645>(8804) their heads<07218>.
14:5 {<03588>}{<01571>}田野<09002><07704>的母鹿<0365>生<03205>(8804)下小鹿，就撇棄<05800>(8800)，因為<03588>無<03808><01961>草<01877>。
Yea, the hind<0365> also calved<03205>(8804) in the field<07704>, and forsook<05800>(8800) it , because there was no grass<01877>.
14:6 野驢<06501>站<05975>(8804)在<05921>淨光的高處<08205>，喘<07602>(8804)氣<07307>好像野狗<09003><08565>；因為<03588>無<0369>草<06212>，眼目<05869>失明<03615>(8804)。
And the wild asses<06501> did stand<05975>(8804) in the high places<08205>, they snuffed up<07602>(8804) the wind<07307> like dragons<08577>; their eyes<05869> did fail<03615>(8804), because there was no grass<06212>.
14:7 耶和華<03068>啊，我們的罪孽<05771>雖然<0518>作見證<06030>(8804)告我們<09002>，還求你為<09001><04616>你名<08034>的緣故行<06213>(8798)事。我們本是<03588>多<07231>(8804)次背道<04878>，得罪了<02398>(8804)你<09001>。
O LORD<03068>, though our iniquities<05771> testify<06030>(8804) against us, do<06213>(8798) thou it for thy name's<08034> sake: for our backslidings<04878> are many<07231>(8804); we have sinned<02398>(8804) against thee.
14:8 以色列<03478>所盼望<04723>、在患難<06869>時<09002><06256>作他救主<03467>(8688)的啊，你為何<09001><04100><01961>在這地<09002><0776>像寄居的<09003><01616>，又像行路的<09003><0732>(8802)只住<05186>(8804)一宵<09001><03885>(8800)呢？
O the hope<04723> of Israel<03478>, the saviour<03467>(8688) thereof in time<06256> of trouble<06869>, why shouldest thou be as a stranger<01616> in the land<0776>, and as a wayfaring man<0732>(8802) that turneth aside<05186>(8804) to tarry for a night<03885>(8800)?
14:9 你為何<09001><04100><01961>像受驚的<01724>(8737)人<09003><0376>，像不<03808>能<03201>(8799)救<09001><03467>(8687)人的勇士<09003><01368>呢？耶和華<03068>啊，你<0859>仍在我們中間<09002><07130>；我們也稱<07121>(8738)為你名<08034>下的人<05921>，求你不要<0408>離開我們<05117>(8686)。
Why shouldest thou be as a man<0376> astonied<01724>(8737), as a mighty man<01368> that cannot<03201>(8799) save<03467>(8687)? yet thou, O LORD<03068>, art in the midst<07130> of us, and we are called<07121>(8738) by thy name<08034>; leave<03240>(8686) us not. {we...: Heb. thy name is called upon us}
14:10 耶和華<03068>對這<02088>百姓<09001><05971>如此<03541>說<0559>(8804)：{<03651>}這百姓喜愛<0157>(8804)妄行（原文是飄流<09001><05128>(8800)），不<03808>禁止<02820>(8804)腳步<07272>，所以耶和華<03068>不<03808>悅納他們<07521>(8804)。現今<06258>要記念<02142>(8799)他們的罪孽<05771>，追討<06485>(8799)他們的罪惡<02403>。
Thus saith<0559>(8804) the LORD<03068> unto this people<05971>, Thus have they loved<0157>(8804) to wander<05128>(8800), they have not refrained<02820>(8804) their feet<07272>, therefore the LORD<03068> doth not accept<07521>(8804) them; he will now remember<02142>(8799) their iniquity<05771>, and visit<06485>(8799) their sins<02403>.
14:11 耶和華<03068>又對我<0413>說<0559>(8799)：「不要<0408>為<01157>這<02088>百姓<05971>祈禱<06419>(8691)求好處<09001><02896>。
Then said<0559>(8799) the LORD<03068> unto me, Pray<06419>(8691) not for this people<05971> for their good<02896>.
14:12 他們禁食<06684>(8799)的時候<03588>，我不<0369>聽<08085>(8802){<0413>}他們的呼求<07440>；{<03588>}他們獻<05927>(8686)燔祭<05930>和素祭<04503>，我也不<0369>悅納<07521>(8802)；我<0595>卻<03588>要用刀劍<09002><02719>、饑荒<09002><07458>、瘟疫<09002><01698>滅絕<03615>(8764)他們<0853>。」
When they fast<06684>(8799), I will not hear<08085>(8802) their cry<07440>; and when they offer<05927>(8686) burnt offering<05930> and an oblation<04503>, I will not accept<07521>(8802) them: but I will consume<03615>(8764) them by the sword<02719>, and by the famine<07458>, and by the pestilence<01698>.
14:13 我就說<0559>(8799)：「唉<0162>！主<0136>耶和華<03069>啊，{<02009>}那些先知<05030>常對他們<09001>說<0559>(8802)：『你們<09001>必不<03808>看見<07200>(8799)刀劍<02719>，也不<03808>遭遇<01961>饑荒<07458>；{<03588>}耶和華要在這<02088>地方<09002><04725>賜<05414>(8799)你們<09001>長久的<0571>平安<07965>。』」
Then said<0559>(8799) I, Ah<0162>, Lord<0136> GOD<03069>! behold, the prophets<05030> say<0559>(8802) unto them, Ye shall not see<07200>(8799) the sword<02719>, neither shall ye have famine<07458>; but I will give<05414>(8799) you assured<0571> peace<07965> in this place<04725>. {assured...: Heb. peace of truth}
14:14 耶和華<03068>對我<0413>說<0559>(8799)：「那些先知<05030>託我的名<09002><08034>說假<08267>預言<05012>(8737)，我並沒有<03808>打發他們<07971>(8804)，沒有<03808>吩咐他們<06680>(8765)，也沒有<03808>對他們<0413>說話<01696>(8765)；他們<01992>向你們<09001>預言的<05012>(8693)，乃是虛假<08267>的異象<02377>和占卜<07081>，並虛無的<0457>(8675)<0434>事，以及本心<03820>的詭詐<08649>。
Then the LORD<03068> said<0559>(8799) unto me, The prophets<05030> prophesy<05012>(8737) lies<08267> in my name<08034>: I sent<07971>(8804) them not, neither have I commanded<06680>(8765) them, neither spake<01696>(8765) unto them: they prophesy<05012>(8693) unto you a false<08267> vision<02377> and divination<07081>, and a thing of nought<0457>(8675)<0434>, and the deceit<08649> of their heart<03820>.
14:15 所以<09001><03651>耶和華<03068>如此<03541>說<0559>(8804)：論到<05921>託我名<09002><08034>說預言的<05012>(8737)那些先知<05030>，我<0589>並沒有<03808>打發他們<07971>(8804)；他們<01992>還說<0559>(8802)這<02063>地<09002><0776>不<03808>能有<01961>刀劍<02719>饑荒<07458>，其實那些<01992>先知<05030>必被刀劍<09002><02719>饑荒<09002><07458>滅絕<08552>(8735)。
Therefore thus saith<0559>(8804) the LORD<03068> concerning the prophets<05030> that prophesy<05012>(8737) in my name<08034>, and I sent<07971>(8804) them not, yet they say<0559>(8802), Sword<02719> and famine<07458> shall not be in this land<0776>; By sword<02719> and famine<07458> shall those prophets<05030> be consumed<08552>(8735).
14:16 {<0834>}{<01992>}聽他們<09001>說預言的<05012>(8737)百姓<05971>必<01961>因<04480><06440>饑荒<07458>刀劍<02719>拋<07993>在(8716)耶路撒冷<03389>的街道<09002><02351>上，無人<0369>葬埋<06912>(8764)。他們<01992>連妻子<0802>帶兒<01121>女<01323>，都是如此<09001><01992>。我必將<0853>他們的惡<07451>倒<08210>(8804)在他們身上<05921>（或譯：我必使他們罪惡的報應臨到他們身上）。」
And the people<05971> to whom they prophesy<05012>(8737) shall be cast out<07993>(8716) in the streets<02351> of Jerusalem<03389> because<06440> of the famine<07458> and the sword<02719>; and they shall have none to bury<06912>(8764) them<01992>, them, their wives<0802>, nor their sons<01121>, nor their daughters<01323>: for I will pour<08210>(8804) their wickedness<07451> upon them.
14:17 你要將<0853>這<02088>話<01697>對他們<0413>說<0559>(8804)：願我眼<05869>淚<01832>汪汪<03381>(8799)，晝<03119>夜<03915>不<0408>息<01820>(8799)，因為<03588>我百姓<05971>（原文是民的處女<01330><01323>）受了<07665>(8738)裂口<04347>破壞的<02470>(8737)<03966>大<01419>傷<07667>。
Therefore thou shalt say<0559>(8804) this word<01697> unto them; Let mine eyes<05869> run down<03381>(8799) with tears<01832> night<03915> and day<03119>, and let them not cease<01820>(8799): for the virgin<01330> daughter<01323> of my people<05971> is broken<07665>(8738) with a great<01419> breach<07667>, with a very<03966> grievous<02470>(8737) blow<04347>.
14:18 我若<0518>出<03318>(8804)往田<07704>間，就見<02009>有被刀<02719>殺的<02491>；我若<0518>進入<0935>(8804)城<05892>內，就見<02009>有因饑荒<07458>患病<08463>的；{<03588>}連<01571>先知<05030>帶<01571>祭司<03548>在<0413>國<0776>中往來<05503>(8804)，也是毫無<03808>知識<03045>(8804)（或譯：不知怎樣才好）。
If I go forth<03318>(8804) into the field<07704>, then behold the slain<02491> with the sword<02719>! and if I enter<0935>(8804) into the city<05892>, then behold them that are sick<08463> with famine<07458>! yea, both the prophet<05030> and the priest<03548> go about<05503>(8804) into a land<0776> that they know<03045>(8804) not. {go about...: or, make merchandise against a land, and men acknowledge it not}
14:19 你全然<03988>(8800)棄掉<03988>(8804){<0853>}猶大<03063>嗎？你心<05315>厭惡<01602>(8804){<0518>}錫安<09002><06726>嗎？為何<04069>擊打我們<05221>(8689)，以致無法<0369>{<09001>}醫治<04832>呢？我們指望<06960>(8763)平安<09001><07965>，卻得不著<0369>好處<02896>；指望痊癒<04832>{<09001>}{<06256>}，不料<02009>，受了驚惶<01205>。
Hast thou utterly<03988>(8800) rejected<03988>(8804) Judah<03063>? hath thy soul<05315> lothed<01602>(8804) Zion<06726>? why hast thou smitten<05221>(8689) us, and there is no healing<04832> for us? we looked<06960>(8763) for peace<07965>, and there is no good<02896>; and for the time<06256> of healing<04832>, and behold trouble<01205>!
14:20 耶和華<03068>啊，我們承認<03045>(8804)自己的罪惡<07562>，和我們列祖<01>的罪孽<05771>，因<03588>我們得罪了<02398>(8804)你<09001>。
We acknowledge<03045>(8804), O LORD<03068>, our wickedness<07562>, and the iniquity<05771> of our fathers<01>: for we have sinned<02398>(8804) against thee.
14:21 求你為<09001><04616>你名<08034>的緣故，不<0408>厭惡<05006>(8799)我們，不<0408>辱沒<05034>(8762)你榮耀<03519>的寶座<03678>。求你追念<02142>(8798)，不要<0408>背了<06565>(8686)與我們<0854>所立的約<01285>。
Do not abhor<05006>(8799) us , for thy name's<08034> sake, do not disgrace<05034>(8762) the throne<03678> of thy glory<03519>: remember<02142>(8798), break<06565>(8686) not thy covenant<01285> with us.
14:22 外邦人<01471>虛無的神中<09002><01892>有<03426>能降雨<01652>(8688)的嗎？{<0518>}天<08064>能自降<05414>(8799)甘霖<07241>嗎？耶和華<03068>─我們的神<0430>啊，能如此的<01931>不是<03808>你<0859>嗎？所以，我們仍要等候<06960>(8762)你<09001>，因為<03588>{<0853>}這<0428>一切都<03605>是你<0859>所造的<06213>(8804)。
Are there<03426> any among the vanities<01892> of the Gentiles<01471> that can cause rain<01652>(8688)? or can the heavens<08064> give<05414>(8799) showers<07241>? art not thou he, O LORD<03068> our God<0430>? therefore we will wait<06960>(8762) upon thee: for thou hast made<06213>(8804) all these things .
