36:1 {<01961>}希西家<02396>王<09001><04428>十四<09002><0702><06240>年<08141>，亞述<0804>王<04428>西拿基立<05576>上來<05927>(8804)攻擊<05921>猶大<03063>的一切<03605>堅固<01219>(8803)城<05892>，將城攻取<08610>(8799)。
Now it came to pass in the fourteenth<0702><06240> year<08141> of king<04428> Hezekiah<02396>, that Sennacherib<05576> king<04428> of Assyria<0804> came up<05927>(8804) against all the defenced<01219>(8803) cities<05892> of Judah<03063>, and took<08610>(8799) them.
36:2 亞述<0804>王<04428>從拉吉<04480><03923>差遣<07971>(8799){<0853>}拉伯沙基<07262>率領大<03515>軍<09002><02428>往耶路撒冷<03389>，到<0413>希西家<02396>王<04428>那裡去。他就站<05975>(8799)在上<05945>池<01295>的水溝<09002><08585>旁，在漂布<03526>(8801)地<07704>的大路<09002><04546>上。
And the king<04428> of Assyria<0804> sent<07971>(8799) Rabshakeh<07262> from Lachish<03923> to Jerusalem<03389> unto king<04428> Hezekiah<02396> with a great<03515> army<02426>. And he stood<05975>(8799) by the conduit<08585> of the upper<05945> pool<01295> in the highway<04546> of the fuller's<03526>(8801) field<07704>.
36:3 於是希勒家<02518>的兒子<01121>{<05921>}家<01004>宰<0834>以利亞敬<0471>，並書記<05608>(8802)舍伯那<07644>和亞薩<0623>的兒子<01121>史官<02142>(8688)約亞<03098>，出來<03318>(8799)見<0413>拉伯沙基。
Then came forth<03318>(8799) unto him Eliakim<0471>, Hilkiah's<02518> son<01121>, which was over the house<01004>, and Shebna<07644> the scribe<05608>(8802), and Joah<03098>, Asaph's<0623> son<01121>, the recorder<02142>(8688). {scribe: or, secretary}
36:4 拉伯沙基<07262>對他們<0413>說<0559>(8798)：「{<04994>}你們去<0413>告訴希西家<02396>說<0559>(8804)，亞述<0804>{<04428>}<0804>大<01419>王<04428>如此<03541>說：『你所<0834>倚靠的<0982>(8804)有甚麼<04100>可仗賴<0986>的<02088>呢？
And Rabshakeh<07262> said<0559>(8799) unto them, Say<0559>(8798) ye now to Hezekiah<02396>, Thus saith<0559>(8804) the great<01419> king<04428>, the king<04428> of Assyria<0804>, What confidence<0986> is this wherein thou trustest<0982>(8804)?
36:5 你說<0559>(8804)，有打仗的<09001><04421>計謀<06098>和能力<01369>，我看不過<0389>是虛<08193>話<01697>。你到底<06258>倚靠<0982>(8804){<05921>}誰<04310>才<03588>背叛<04775>(8804)我<09002>呢？
I say<0559>(8804), sayest thou , (but they are but vain<08193> words<01697>) I have counsel<06098> and strength<01369> for war<04421>: now on whom dost thou trust<0982>(8804), that thou rebellest<04775>(8804) against me? {vain...: Heb. a word of lips} {I have...: or, but counsel and strength are for the war}
36:6 看哪<02009>，你所倚靠<0982>(8804){<05921>}的埃及<04714>是那<02088>壓傷的<07533>(8803){<05921>}葦<07070>杖<04938>，人<0376>若靠<05564>(8735){<05921>}這<0834>杖，就必刺<05344>(8804)透{<0935>}{(8804)}他的手<09002><03709>。埃及<04714>王<04428>法老<06547>向一切<09001><03605>倚靠<0982>(8802)他<05921>的人也是這樣<03651>。
Lo, thou trustest<0982>(8804) in the staff<04938> of this broken<07533>(8803) reed<07070>, on Egypt<04714>; whereon if a man<0376> lean<05564>(8735), it will go<0935>(8804) into his hand<03709>, and pierce<05344>(8804) it: so is Pharaoh<06547> king<04428> of Egypt<04714> to all that trust<0982>(8802) in him.
36:7 你若<03588>對我<0413>說<0559>(8799)：我們倚靠<0982>(8804){<0413>}耶和華<03068>─我們的上帝<0430>。希西家<02396>豈<01931>不是<03808>將<0853>上帝的<0834>邱壇<01116>和<0853>祭壇<04196>廢去<05493>(8689)，且對猶大<09001><03063>和耶路撒冷<09001><03389>的人說<0559>(8799)：你們當在這<02088>壇<04196>前<09001><06440>敬拜<07812>(8691)嗎？
But if thou say<0559>(8799) to me, We trust<0982>(8804) in the LORD<03068> our God<0430>: is it not he, whose high places<01116> and whose altars<04196> Hezekiah<02396> hath taken away<05493>(8689), and said<0559>(8799) to Judah<03063> and to Jerusalem<03389>, Ye shall worship<07812>(8691) before<06440> this altar<04196>?
36:8 現在<06258>你<04994>把當頭<06148>(8690)給<0853>我主<0113>亞述<0804>王<04428>，我給<05414>(8799)你<09001>二千<0505>匹馬<05483>，看{<09001>}{<05414>}{(8800)}你<09001>這一面騎馬<05921>的人<07392>(8802){<0518>}夠不夠<03201>(8799)。
Now therefore give pledges<06148>(8690), I pray thee, to my master<0113> the king<04428> of Assyria<0804>, and I will give<05414>(8799) thee two thousand<0505> horses<05483>, if thou be able<03201>(8799) on thy part to set<05414>(8800) riders<07392>(8802) upon them. {pledges: or, hostages}
36:9 若不然，怎能<0349>打敗<07725>(8686){<0853>}{<06440>}我主<0113>臣僕<05650>中最小的<06996>{<0259>}軍長<06346>呢？你<09001>竟倚靠<0982>(8799){<05921>}埃及<04714>的戰車<09001><07393>馬兵<09001><06571>嗎？
How then wilt thou turn away<07725>(8686) the face<06440> of one<0259> captain<06346> of the least<06996> of my master's<0113> servants<05650>, and put thy trust<0982>(8799) on Egypt<04714> for chariots<07393> and for horsemen<06571>?
36:10 現在<06258>我上來<05927>(8804)攻擊<05921>毀滅<09001><07843>(8687)這<02063>地<0776>，豈沒有<04480><01107>耶和華<03068>的意思嗎？耶和華<03068>吩咐我<0413>說<0559>(8804)，你上去<05927>(8798)攻擊<05921>毀滅<07843>(8685)這<02063>地<0776>吧！』」
And am I now come up<05927>(8804) without<01107> the LORD<03068> against this land<0776> to destroy<07843>(8687) it? the LORD<03068> said<0559>(8804) unto me, Go up<05927>(8798) against this land<0776>, and destroy<07843>(8685) it.
36:11 以利亞敬<0471>、舍伯那<07644>、約亞<03098>對<0413>拉伯沙基<07262>說<0559>(8799)：「求你<04994>用亞蘭言語<0762>和<0413>僕人<05650>說話<01696>(8761)，因為<03588>我們<0587>懂得<08085>(8802)；不要<0408>用猶大言語<03066>和我們<0413>說話<01696>(8762)，達到<05921>城上<02346>{<0834>}百姓<05971>的耳中<09002><0241>。」
Then said<0559>(8799) Eliakim<0471> and Shebna<07644> and Joah<03098> unto Rabshakeh<07262>, Speak<01696>(8761), I pray thee, unto thy servants<05650> in the Syrian language<0762>; for we understand<08085>(8802) it : and speak<01696>(8762) not to us in the Jews' language<03066>, in the ears<0241> of the people<05971> that are on the wall<02346>.
36:12 拉伯沙基<07262>說<0559>(8799)：「我主<0113>差遣我<07971>(8804)來，豈是單對你<0413>和<0413>你的主<0113>說<09001><01696>(8763){<0853>}這些<0428>話<01697>嗎？不<03808>也是對<05921>這些坐<03427>(8802)在<05921>城上<02346>、要與你們<05973>一同吃<09001><0398>(8800){<0853>}自己糞<02716>(8676)<06675>喝<09001><08354>(8800){<0853>}自己尿<04325><07272>(8675)<07890>的人<0376>說嗎？」
But Rabshakeh<07262> said<0559>(8799), Hath my master<0113> sent<07971>(8804) me to thy master<0113> and to thee to speak<01696>(8763) these words<01697>? hath he not sent me to the men<0582> that sit<03427>(8802) upon the wall<02346>, that they may eat<0398>(8800) their own dung<02716>(8676)<06675>, and drink<08354>(8800) their own piss<04325><07272>(8675)<07890> with you?
36:13 於是，拉伯沙基<07262>站著<05975>(8799)，用猶大言語<03066>大<01419>聲<09002><06963>喊著<07121>(8799)說<0559>(8799)：「你們當聽<08085>(8798){<0853>}亞述<0804>{<04428>}大<01419>王<04428>的話<01697>。
Then Rabshakeh<07262> stood<05975>(8799), and cried<07121>(8799) with a loud<01419> voice<06963> in the Jews' language<03066>, and said<0559>(8799), Hear<08085>(8798) ye the words<01697> of the great<01419> king<04428>, the king<04428> of Assyria<0804>.
36:14 王<04428>如此<03541>說<0559>(8804)：『你們<09001>不要<0408>被希西家<02396>欺哄<05377>(8686)了，因<03588>他不<03808>能<03201>(8799)拯救<09001><05337>(8687)你們<0853>。
Thus saith<0559>(8804) the king<04428>, Let not Hezekiah<02396> deceive<05377>(8686) you: for he shall not be able<03201>(8799) to deliver<05337>(8687) you.
36:15 也不要<0408>聽希西家<02396>使你們<0853>倚靠<0982>(8686){<0413>}耶和華<03068>說<09001><0559>(8800)：耶和華<03068>必要<05337>(8687)拯救我們<05337>(8686)，這<02063>城<05892>必不<03808>交<05414>(8735)在亞述<0804>王<04428>的手中<09002><03027>。』
Neither let Hezekiah<02396> make you trust<0982>(8686) in the LORD<03068>, saying<0559>(8800), The LORD<03068> will surely<05337>(8687) deliver<05337>(8686) us: this city<05892> shall not be delivered<05414>(8735) into the hand<03027> of the king<04428> of Assyria<0804>.
36:16 不要<0408>聽<08085>(8799){<0413>}希西家<02396>的話，因<03588>亞述<0804>王<04428>如此<03541>說<0559>(8804)：『你們要與我<0854>和好<06213>(8798)<01293>。出來<03318>(8798)投降我<0413>，各人<0376>就可以吃<0398>(8798)自己葡萄樹<01612>和{<0376>}無花果樹<08384>的果子，{<0376>}喝<08354>(8798)自己井<0953>裡的水<04325>。
Hearken<08085>(8799) not to Hezekiah<02396>: for thus saith<0559>(8804) the king<04428> of Assyria<0804>, Make<06213>(8798) an agreement with me by a present<01293>, and come out<03318>(8798) to me: and eat<0398>(8798) ye every one<0376> of his vine<01612>, and every one<0376> of his fig tree<08384>, and drink<08354>(8798) ye every one<0376> the waters<04325> of his own cistern<0953>; {Make...: or, Seek my favour by a present: Heb. Make with me a blessing}
36:17 等<05704>我來<0935>(8800)領<03947>(8804)你們<0853>到<0413>一個地方<0776>，與你們本地<09003><0776>一樣，就是有五穀<01715>和新酒<08492>之地<0776>，有糧食<03899>和葡萄園<03754>之地<0776>。
Until I come<0935>(8800) and take you away<03947>(8804) to a land<0776> like your own land<0776>, a land<0776> of corn<01715> and wine<08492>, a land<0776> of bread<03899> and vineyards<03754>.
36:18 你們要謹防，恐怕<06435>希西家<02396>勸導<05496>(8686)你們<0853>說<09001><0559>(8800)：耶和華<03068>必拯救我們<05337>(8686)。列國<01471>的神<0430>有哪一個<0376>救<05337>(8689){<0853>}他本國<0776>脫離亞述<0804>王<04428>的手<04480><03027>呢？
Beware lest Hezekiah<02396> persuade<05496>(8686) you, saying<0559>(8800), The LORD<03068> will deliver<05337>(8686) us. Hath any<0376> of the gods<0430> of the nations<01471> delivered<05337>(8689) his land<0776> out of the hand<03027> of the king<04428> of Assyria<0804>?
36:19 哈馬<02574>和亞珥拔<0774>的神<0430>在哪裡<0346>呢？西法瓦音<05617>的神<0430>在哪裡<0346>呢？{<03588>}他們曾救<05337>(8689){<0853>}撒馬利亞<08111>脫離我的手<04480><03027>嗎？
Where are the gods<0430> of Hamath<02574> and Arphad<0774>? where are the gods<0430> of Sepharvaim<05617>? and have they delivered<05337>(8689) Samaria<08111> out of my hand<03027>?
36:20 這些<0428>國<0776>的{<09002>}{<03605>}神<0430>有<0834>誰<04310>曾救<05337>(8689){<0853>}自己的國<0776>脫離我的手<04480><03027>呢？難道<03588>耶和華<03068>能救<05337>(8686){<0853>}耶路撒冷<03389>脫離我的手<04480><03027>嗎？』」
Who are they among all the gods<0430> of these lands<0776>, that have delivered<05337>(8689) their land<0776> out of my hand<03027>, that the LORD<03068> should deliver<05337>(8686) Jerusalem<03389> out of my hand<03027>?
36:21 百姓靜默不言<02790>(8686)，並不<03808>回答<06030>(8804){<0853>}一句<01697>，因為<03588>王<04428>曾吩咐<04687>{<01931>}說<09001><0559>(8800)：「不要<03808>回答他<06030>(8799)。」
But they held their peace<02790>(8686), and answered<06030>(8804) him not a word<01697>: for the king's<04428> commandment<04687> was, saying<0559>(8800), Answer<06030>(8799) him not.
36:22 當下希勒家<02518>的兒子<01121>{<05921>}家<01004>宰<0834>以利亞敬<0471>和書記<05608>(8802)舍伯那<07644>，並亞薩<0623>的兒子<01121>史官<02142>(8688)約亞<03098>，都撕裂<07167>(8803)衣服<0899>，來<0935>(8799)到<0413>希西家<02396>那裡，將<0853>拉伯沙基<07262>的話<01697>告訴<05046>(8686)了他<09001>。
Then came<0935>(8799) Eliakim<0471>, the son<01121> of Hilkiah<02518>, that was over the household<01004>, and Shebna<07644> the scribe<05608>(8802), and Joah<03098>, the son<01121> of Asaph<0623>, the recorder<02142>(8688), to Hezekiah<02396> with their clothes<0899> rent<07167>(8803), and told<05046>(8686) him the words<01697> of Rabshakeh<07262>.
