9 {<03588>}我將<0853>這<02088>一切事<03605>放<05414>(8804)在<0413>心上<03820>，詳細考究<09001><0952>(8800){<0853>}{<03605>}{<02088>}，就知道<0834>義人<06662>和智慧人<02450>，並他們的作為<05652>都在　神<0430>手中<09002><03027>；或是<01571>愛<0160>，或是<01571>恨<08135>，都<03605>在他們的前面<09001><06440>，人<0120>不能<0369>知道<03045>(8802)。
For all this I considered<05414>(8804) in my heart<03820> even to declare<0952>(8800) all this, that the righteous<06662>, and the wise<02450>, and their works<05652>, are in the hand<03027> of God<0430>: no man<0120> knoweth<03045>(8802) either<01571> love<0160> or hatred<08135> by all that is before<06440> them. {I considered...: Heb. 2 凡<03605>臨到眾人<09001><03605>的事都是一樣<09003><0834>：義人<09001><06662>和惡人<09001><07563>都遭遇一樣的<0259>事<04745>；好人<09001><02896>，潔淨人<09001><02889>和不潔淨人<09001><02931>，獻祭的<09001><02076>(8802)與不<0369>獻祭的<02076>(8802)，也是一樣<09001><0834>。好人如何<09003><02896>，罪人也如何<09003><02398>(8802)；起誓的<07650>(8737)如何，怕<03372>(8802)起誓的<07621>也如何<09003><0834>。
All things come alike to all: there is one<0259> event<04745> to the righteous<06662>, and to the wicked<07563>; to the good<02896> and to the clean<02889>, and to the unclean<02931>; to him that sacrificeth<02076>(8802), and to him that<0834> sacrificeth<02076>(8802) not: as is the good<02896>, so is the sinner<02398>(8802); and he that sweareth<07650>(8737), as he that feareth<03373> an oath<07621>.
3 在日光<08121>之下<08478>所<0834>行<06213>(8738)的一切事上<09002><03605>有一件<02088>禍患<07451>，就是<03588>眾人<09001><03605>所遭遇的<04745>都是一樣<0259>，並且<01571>世人<01121><0120>的心<03820>充滿了<04390>(8804)惡<07451>；活著的時候<09002><02416>心裡<09002><03824>狂妄<01947>，後來<0310>就歸<0413>死<04191>(8801)人那裡去了。
This is an evil<07451> among all things that are done<06213>(8738) under the sun<08121>, that there is one<0259> event<04745> unto all: yea, also the heart<03820> of the sons<01121> of men<0120> is full<04390>(8804) of evil<07451>, and madness<01947> is in their heart<03824> while they live<02416>, and after<0310> that they go to the dead<04191>(8801).
4 {<03588>}{<04310>}{<0834>}與<0413>一切<03605>活人<02416>相連的<02266>(8792)(8675)<0977>(8792)，那人還有<03426>指望<0986>，因為<03588>活著<02416>的狗<09001><03611>比<04480>死了的<04191>(8801)獅子<0738>{<01931>}更強<02896>。
For<04310> to him that is<03426> joined<02266>(8792)(8675)<0977>(8792) to all the living<02416> there is hope<0986>: for a living<02416> dog<03611> is better<02896> than a dead<04191>(8801) lion<0738>.
5 {<03588>}活著的人<02416>知道<03045>(8802)必死<07945><04191>(8799)；死了的人<04191>(8801)毫無<0369>所知<03045>(8802){<03972>}，也不<0369>再<05750>得賞賜<07939>{<09001>}；{<03588>}他們的名{<02143>}無人記念<07911>(8738)。
For the living<02416> know<03045>(8802) that they shall die<04191>(8799): but the dead<04191>(8801) know<03045>(8802) not any thing<03972>, neither have they any more a reward<07939>; for the memory<02143> of them is forgotten<07911>(8738).
6 {<01571>}他們的愛<0160>，{<01571>}他們的恨<08135>，{<01571>}他們的嫉妒<07068>，早<03528>都消滅了<06>(8804)。在日光<08121>之下<08478>所<0834>行<06213>(8738)的一切事上<09002><03605>，他們<09001>永<09001><05769>不<0369>再<05750>有分了<02506>。
Also their love<0160>, and their hatred<08135>, and their envy<07068>, is now<03528> perished<06>(8804); neither have they any more a portion<02506> for ever<05769> in any thing that is done<06213>(8738) under the sun<08121>.
7 你只管去<03212>(8798)歡歡喜喜<09002><08057>吃<0398>(8798)你的飯<03899>，心中<09002><03820>快樂<02896>喝<08354>(8798)你的酒<03196>，因為<03588>　神<0430>已經<03528>悅納<07521>(8804){<0853>}你的作為<04639>。
Go thy way<03212>(8798), eat<0398>(8798) thy bread<03899> with joy<08057>, and drink<08354>(8798) thy wine<03196> with a merry<02896> heart<03820>; for God<0430> now<03528> accepteth<07521>(8804) thy works<04639>.
8 你的衣服<0899>當<01961>時<06256>常<09002><03605>潔白<03836>，你頭上<05921><07218>也不要<0408>缺少<02637>(8799)膏油<08081>。
Let thy garments<0899> be always<06256> white<03836>; and let thy head<07218> lack<02637>(8799) no ointment<08081>.
9 在你一<03605>生<02416>虛空的<01892>年日<03117>，就是<0834>　神<0430>賜<05414>(8804)你<09001>在日光<08121>之下<08478>虛空的<01892>年日<03117>，當同<05973>你所<0834>愛的<0157>(8804)妻<0802>，快活<07200>(8798)度日<02416>，因為<03588>那是<01931>你<0859>生前<09002><02416>在日光<08121>之下<08478>勞碌<09002><05999>的事上所<0834>得<06001>的分<02506>。
Live<02416> joyfully<07200>(8798) with the wife<0802> whom thou lovest<0157>(8804) all the days<03117> of the life<02416> of thy vanity<01892>, which he hath given<05414>(8804) thee under the sun<08121>, all the days<03117> of thy vanity<01892>: for that is thy portion<02506> in this life<02416>, and in thy labour<05999> which thou takest<06001> under the sun<08121>. {Live...: Heb. 10 凡<03605>你手<03027>所<0834>當<04672>(8799)做<09001><06213>(8800)的事要盡力<09002><03581>去做<06213>(8798)；因為<03588>在你<0859>所<0834>必去<01980>(8802)的陰間<09002><07585>{<08033>}沒有<0369>工作<04639>，沒有謀算<02808>，沒有知識<01847>，也沒有智慧<02451>。
Whatsoever thy hand<03027> findeth<04672>(8799) to do<06213>(8800), do<06213>(8798) it with thy might<03581>; for there is no work<04639>, nor device<02808>, nor knowledge<01847>, nor wisdom<02451>, in the grave<07585>, whither thou goest<01980>(8802).
11 我又轉念<07725>(8804)：見<07200>(8800)日光<08121>之下<08478>，{<03588>}快<09001><07031>跑的未必<03808>能贏<04793>；力<09001><01368>戰的未必<03808>得勝<04421>；{<01571>}智慧的<09001><02450>未必<03808>得糧食<03899>；{<01571>}明哲的<09001><0995>(8737)未必<03808>得資財<06239>；{<01571>}靈巧的<09001><03045>(8802)未必<03808>得喜悅<02580>。{<03588>}所<0853>臨到<07136>(8799)眾人<03605>的是在乎當時<06256>的機會<06294>。
I returned<07725>(8804), and saw<07200>(8800) under the sun<08121>, that the race<04793> is not to the swift<07031>, nor the battle<04421> to the strong<01368>, neither yet bread<03899> to the wise<02450>, nor yet riches<06239> to men of understanding<0995>(8737), nor yet favour<02580> to men of skill<03045>(8802); but time<06256> and chance<06294> happeneth<07136>(8799) to them all.
12 原來<03588>人<0120>也<01571>不<03808>知道<03045>(8799){<0853>}自己的定期<06256>。魚<09003><01709>被惡<07451>網<09002><04685>圈住<07945><0270>(8737)，鳥<09003><06833>被網羅<09002><06341>捉住<0270>(8803)，禍患<07451>忽然<06597>臨<09003><07945><05307>(8799)到<05921>的時候<09001><06256>，世人<0120><01121>陷在<03369>(8795)其中也是如此<09003><01992>。
For man<0120> also knoweth<03045>(8799) not his time<06256>: as the fishes<01709> that are taken<0270>(8737) in an evil<07451> net<04685>, and as the birds<06833> that are caught<0270>(8803) in the snare<06341>; so<01992> are the sons<01121> of men<0120> snared<03369>(8795) in an evil<07451> time<06256>, when it falleth<05307>(8799) suddenly<06597> upon them.
13 {<01571>}我見<07200>(8804)日光<08121>之下<08478>有一樣<02090>智慧<02451>，據我<0413>看乃是<01931>廣大<01419>，
This<02090> wisdom<02451> have I seen<07200>(8804) also under the sun<08121>, and it seemed great<01419> unto me:
14 就是有一小<06996>城<05892>，其中的<09002>人<0582>數稀少<04592>，有大<01419>君王<04428>來<0935>(8804)攻擊<0413>，修築<01129>(8804){<01419>}營壘<04685>{<05921>}，將城<0853>圍困<05437>(8804)。
There was a little<06996> city<05892>, and few<04592> men<0582> within it; and there came<0935>(8804) a great<01419> king<04428> against it, and besieged<05437>(8804) it, and built<01129>(8804) great<01419> bulwarks<04685> against it:
15 城中<09002>有<04672>(8804)一個貧窮的<04542>智慧<02450>人<0376>，他<01931>用智慧<09002><02451>救了<04422>(8765)那<0853>城<05892>，卻沒有<03808>人<0120>記念<02142>(8804){<0853>}那<01931>窮<04542>人<0376>。
Now there was found<04672>(8804) in it a poor<04542> wise<02450> man<0376>, and he by his wisdom<02451> delivered<04422>(8765) the city<05892>; yet no man<0120> remembered<02142>(8804) that same poor<04542> man<0376>.
16 我<0589>就說<0559>(8804)，智慧<02451>勝<02896>過勇力<04480><01369>；然而那貧窮人<04542>的智慧<02451>被人藐視<0959>(8803)，他的話<01697>也無人<0369>聽從<08085>(8737)。
Then said<0559>(8804) I, Wisdom<02451> is better<02896> than strength<01369>: nevertheless the poor man's<04542> wisdom<02451> is despised<0959>(8803), and his words<01697> are not heard<08085>(8737).
17 寧可在安靜之中<09002><05183>聽<08085>(8737)智慧人<02450>的言語<01697>，不聽掌管<04910>(8802)愚昧人<09002><03684>的喊聲<04480><02201>。
The words<01697> of wise<02450> men are heard<08085>(8737) in quiet<05183> more than the cry<02201> of him that ruleth<04910>(8802) among fools<03684>.
18 智慧<02451>勝<02896>過打仗<07128>的兵器<04480><03627>；但一個<0259>罪人<02398>(8802)能敗壞<06>(8762)許多<07235>(8687)善事<02896>。
Wisdom<02451> is better<02896> than weapons<03627> of war<07128>: but one<0259> sinner<02398>(8802) destroyeth<06>(8762) much<07235>(8687) good<02896>.
