8:1 誰<04310>如智慧人<09003><02450>呢？誰<04310>知道<03045>(8802)事情<01697>的解釋<06592>呢？人<0120>的智慧<02451>使他的臉<06440>發光<0215>(8686)，並使他臉上<06440>的暴氣<05797>改變<08132>(8792)。
Who is as the wise<02450> man ? and who knoweth<03045>(8802) the interpretation<06592> of a thing<01697>? a man's<0120> wisdom<02451> maketh his face<06440> to shine<0215>(8686), and the boldness<05797> of his face<06440> shall be changed<08132>(8792). {the boldness: Heb. the strength}
8:2 我<0589>勸你遵守<08104>(8798)王<04428>的命令<06310>；既指<05921>　神<0430>起誓<07621>，理當如此<01700>。
I counsel thee to keep<08104>(8798) the king's<04428> commandment<06310>, and that in regard<01700> of the oath<07621> of God<0430>.
8:3 不要<0408>急躁<0926>(8735)離開<03212>(8799)王的面前<04480><06440>，不要<0408>固執<05975>(8799)行惡<09002><01697><07451>，因為<03588>他凡事<03605><0834>都隨自己的心意<02654>(8799)而行<06213>(8799)。
Be not hasty<0926>(8735) to go out<03212>(8799) of his sight<06440>: stand<05975>(8799) not in an evil<07451> thing<01697>; for he doeth<06213>(8799) whatsoever pleaseth<02654>(8799) him.
8:4 {<09002>}{<0834>}王<04428>的話<01697>本有權力<07983>，誰<04310>敢問他<09001>說<0559>(8799)「你做<06213>(8799)甚麼<04100>」呢？
Where the word<01697> of a king<04428> is, there is power<07983>: and who may say<0559>(8799) unto him, What doest<06213>(8799) thou?
8:5 凡遵守<08104>(8802)命令<04687>的，必不<03808>經歷<03045>(8799)禍患<01697><07451>；智慧人<02450>的心<03820>能辨明<03045>(8799)時候<06256>和定理（原文是審判<04941>；下節同）。
Whoso keepeth<08104>(8802) the commandment<04687> shall feel<03045>(8799) no evil<07451> thing<01697>: and a wise man's<02450> heart<03820> discerneth<03045>(8799) both time<06256> and judgment<04941>. {shall...: Heb. shall know}
8:6 {<03588>}各樣<09001><03605>事務<02656>成就都有<03426>時候<06256>和定理<04941>，因為<03588>人<0120>的苦難<07451>重壓<07227>在他身上<05921>。
Because to every purpose<02656> there is<03426> time<06256> and judgment<04941>, therefore the misery<07451> of man<0120> is great<07227> upon him.
8:7 {<03588>}他不<0369>知道<03045>(8802)將來的事<04100><07945><01961>，因為<03588>將來<01961>如何<09003><0834>，誰<04310>能告訴<05046>(8686)他<09001>呢？
For he knoweth<03045>(8802) not that which shall be: for who can tell<05046>(8686) him when it shall be? {when...: or, how it shall be?}
8:8 無<0369>人<0120>有權力掌管<07989>生命<09002><07307>，將<0853>生命<07307>留住<09001><03607>(8800)；也無人<0369>有權力掌管<07983>死<04194>期<09002><03117>；這場爭戰<09002><04421>，無人<0369>能免<04917>；邪惡<07562>也不能<03808>救<04422>(8762){<0853>}那好行邪惡的人<01167>。
There is no man<0120> that hath power<07989> over the spirit<07307> to retain<03607>(8800) the spirit<07307>; neither hath he power<07983> in the day<03117> of death<04194>: and there is no discharge<04917> in that war<04421>; neither shall wickedness<07562> deliver<04422>(8762) those that are given<01167> to it. {discharge: or, casting off weapons}
8:9 {<0853>}這<02088>一切<03605>我都見過<07200>(8804)，也專<05414>(8800){<0853>}心<03820>查考日光<08121>之下<08478>所<0834>做<06213>(8738)的一切<09001><03605>事<04639>。有時<06256>{<0834>}這人<0120>管轄<07980>(8804)那人<09002><0120>，令人<09001>受害<09001><07451>。
All this have I seen<07200>(8804), and applied<05414>(8800) my heart<03820> unto every work<04639> that is done<06213>(8738) under the sun<08121>: there is a time<06256> wherein one man<0120> ruleth<07980>(8804) over another to his own hurt<07451>.
8:10 {<09002>}{<03651>}我見<07200>(8804)惡人<07563>埋葬<06912>(8803)，歸入<0935>(8804)墳墓；又見行<06213>(8804)正直事的{<0834>}{<03651>}離開<01980>(8762)聖<06918>地<04480><04725>，在城中<09002><05892>被人忘記<07911>(8691)。這<02088>也<01571>是虛空<01892>。
And so<03651> I saw<07200>(8804) the wicked<07563> buried<06912>(8803), who had come<0935>(8804) and gone<01980>(8762) from the place<04725> of the holy<06918>, and they were forgotten<07911>(8691) in the city<05892> where they had so done<06213>(8804): this is also vanity<01892>.
8:11 因為<0834>斷定<06599>罪名<07451><04639>不<0369>立刻<04120>施刑<06213>(8738)，所以<05921><03651>世人<01121><0120>{<09002>}滿<04390>(8804)心<03820>作<09001><06213>(8800)惡<07451>。
Because sentence<06599> against an evil<07451> work<04639> is not executed<06213>(8738) speedily<04120>, therefore the heart<03820> of the sons<01121> of men<0120> is fully set<04390>(8804) in them to do<06213>(8800) evil<07451>.
8:12 罪人<02398>(8802)雖然<0834>作<06213>(8802)惡<07451>百次<03967>，倒享長久<0748>(8688)的年日{<09001>}；然而<03588>我<0589>準<01571>知道<03045>(8802)，{<0834>}敬畏<03373>　神<0430>的，就是<0834>在他面前<04480><09001><06440>敬畏的人<09001><03372>(8799)，終久必得<01961>福樂<02896>。
Though a sinner<02398>(8802) do<06213>(8802) evil<07451> an hundred times<03967>, and his days be prolonged<0748>(8688), yet surely I know<03045>(8802) that it shall be well<02896> with them that fear<03373> God<0430>, which fear<03372>(8799) before<06440> him:
8:13 惡人<09001><07563>卻不<03808>得<01961>福樂<02896>，也不<03808>得長久的<0748>(8686)年日<03117>；這年日好像影兒<09003><06738>，因<0834>他不<0369>敬畏<03373>　神<0430>{<04480>}{<09001>}{<06440>}。
But it shall not be well<02896> with the wicked<07563>, neither shall he prolong<0748>(8686) his days<03117>, which are as a shadow<06738>; because he feareth<03373> not before<06440> God<0430>.
8:14 世上<05921><0776>有<03426>{<0834>}{<06213>}{(8738)}一件虛空<01892>的事，就是<0834><03426>義人<06662>所<0834>遭遇的<05060>(8688){<0413>}，反照惡人<07563>所行的<04639>；又有<03426>惡人<07563>所遭遇的<07945><05060>(8688){<0413>}，反照義人<06662>所行的<09003><04639>。我說<0559>(8804)，這<02088>也是<07945><01571>虛空<01892>。
There is<03426> a vanity<01892> which is done<06213>(8738) upon the earth<0776>; that there be just<06662> men , unto whom it happeneth<05060>(8688) according to the work<04639> of the wicked<07563>; again, there be<03426> wicked<07563> men , to whom it happeneth<05060>(8688) according to the work<04639> of the righteous<06662>: I said<0559>(8804) that this also<01571> is vanity<01892>.
8:15 我<0589>就稱讚<07623>(8765){<0853>}快樂<08057>，原來<03588>人<09001><0120>在日光<08121>之下<08478>，莫<0369>強<02896>如<03588><0518>吃<09001><0398>(8800)喝<09001><08354>(8800)快樂<09001><08055>(8800)；因為他<01931>在日光<08121>之下<08478>，　神<0430>{<0834>}賜<05414>(8804)他<09001>一生<02416>的年日<03117>，要從勞碌中<09002><05999>，時常享受<03867>(8799)所得的。
Then I commended<07623>(8765) mirth<08057>, because a man<0120> hath no better thing<02896> under the sun<08121>, than to eat<0398>(8800), and to drink<08354>(8800), and to be merry<08055>(8800): for that shall abide<03867>(8799) with him of his labour<05999> the days<03117> of his life<02416>, which God<0430> giveth<05414>(8804) him under the sun<08121>.
8:16 {<09003>}{<0834>}我專<05414>(8804){<0853>}心<03820>求<09001><03045>(8800)智慧<02451>，要看<09001><07200>(8800){<0853>}世上<05921><0776>所<0834>做<06213>(8738)的事<06045>。{<03588>}{<01571>}（有晝<09002><03117>夜<09002><03915>不睡覺<08142>{<09002>}{<05869>}不<0369>合眼的{<07200>}{(8802)}。）
When I applied<05414>(8804) mine heart<03820> to know<03045>(8800) wisdom<02451>, and to see<07200>(8800) the business<06045> that is done<06213>(8738) upon the earth<0776>: (for also there is that neither day<03117> nor night<03915> seeth<07200>(8802) sleep<08142> with his eyes<05869>:)
8:17 我就看明<07200>(8804){<0853>}　神<0430>一切的<03605>作為<04639>，{<03588>}知道人<0120>查<03201>(8799)不<03808>出<09001><04672>(8800){<0853>}日光<08121>之下<08478>所<0834>做<06213>(8738)的事<04639>；{<0834>}任憑<09002><07945>他{<0120>}費多少力<05998>(8799)尋查<09001><01245>(8763)，都查不<03808>出來<04672>(8799)，就是<0518>智慧人<02450>雖想<0559>(8799)知道<09001><03045>(8800)，也是<01571>查不<03808><03201>(8799)出來<09001><04672>(8800)。
Then I beheld<07200>(8804) all the work<04639> of God<0430>, that a man<0120> cannot<03201>(8799) find out<04672>(8800) the work<04639> that is done<06213>(8738) under the sun<08121>: because<0834> though<07945> a man<0120> labour<05998>(8799) to seek it out<01245>(8763), yet he shall not find<04672>(8799) it ; yea further; though a wise<02450> man think<0559>(8799) to know<03045>(8800) it , yet shall he not be able<03201>(8799) to find<04672>(8800) it .
