8:1 智慧<02451>豈不<03808>呼叫<07121>(8799)？聰明<08394>豈不發<05414>(8799)聲<06963>？
Doth not wisdom<02451> cry<07121>(8799)? and understanding<08394> put forth<05414>(8799) her voice<06963>?
8:2 她在<05921>道旁<01870>高處<04791>的頂上<09002><07218>，在十字<01004>路口<05410>站立<05324>(8738)，
She standeth<05324>(8738) in the top<07218> of high places<04791>, by the way<01870> in the places<01004> of the paths<05410>.
8:3 在城門<08179>旁<09001><03027>，在城<07176>門口<09001><06310>，在城門<06607>洞<03996>，大聲說<07442>(8799)：
She crieth<07442>(8799) at<03027> the gates<08179>, at the entry<06310> of the city<07176>, at the coming<03996> in at the doors<06607>.
8:4 眾人哪<0376>，我呼叫<07121>(8799)你們<0413>，我向<0413>世人<01121><0120>發聲<06963>。
Unto you, O men<0376>, I call<07121>(8799); and my voice<06963> is to the sons<01121> of man<0120>.
8:5 說：愚蒙人哪<06612>，你們要會悟<0995>(8685)靈明<06195>；愚昧人哪<03684>，你們當心裡<03820>明白<0995>(8685)。
O ye simple<06612>, understand<0995>(8685) wisdom<06195>: and, ye fools<03684>, be ye of an understanding<0995>(8685) heart<03820>.
8:6 你們當聽<08085>(8798)，因<03588>我要說<01696>(8762)極美的話<05057>；我張<04669>嘴<08193>要論正直的事<04339>。
Hear<08085>(8798); for I will speak<01696>(8762) of excellent things<05057>; and the opening<04669> of my lips<08193> shall be right things<04339>.
8:7 我的口<02441>要<03588>發出<01897>(8799)真理<0571>；我的嘴<08193>憎惡<08441>邪惡<07562>。
For my mouth<02441> shall speak<01897>(8799) truth<0571>; and wickedness<07562> is an abomination<08441> to my lips<08193>. {an...: Heb. the abomination of my lips}
8:8 我口中<06310>的言語<0561>都是<03605>公義<09002><06664>，並無<0369>彎曲<06617>(8737)乖僻<06141>{<09002>}。
All the words<0561> of my mouth<06310> are in righteousness<06664>; there is nothing froward<06617>(8737) or perverse<06141> in them. {froward: Heb. wreathed}
8:9 有聰明的<09001><0995>(8688)，以為{<03605>}明顯<05228>，得<09001><04672>(8802)知識的<01847>，以為正直<03477>。
They are all plain<05228> to him that understandeth<0995>(8688), and right<03477> to them that find<04672>(8802) knowledge<01847>.
8:10 你們當受<03947>(8798)我的教訓<04148>，不受<0408>白銀<03701>；寧得<0977>(8737)知識<01847>，勝過黃金<04480><02742>。
Receive<03947>(8798) my instruction<04148>, and not silver<03701>; and knowledge<01847> rather than choice<0977>(8737) gold<02742>.
8:11 因為<03588>智慧<02451>比珍珠（或譯：紅寶石<04480><06443>）更美<02896>；一切<03605>可喜愛的<02656>都不足<03808>與<09002>比較<07737>(8799)。
For wisdom<02451> is better<02896> than rubies<06443>; and all the things that may be desired<02656> are not to be compared<07737>(8799) to it.
8:12 我<0589>─智慧<02451>以靈明<06195>為居所<07931>(8804)，又尋得<04672>(8799)知識<01847>和謀略<04209>。
I wisdom<02451> dwell<07931>(8804) with prudence<06195>, and find out<04672>(8799) knowledge<01847> of witty inventions<04209>. {prudence: or, subtilty}
8:13 敬畏<03374>耶和華<03068>在乎恨惡<08130>(8800)邪惡<07451>；那驕傲<01344>、狂妄<01347>，並惡<07451>道<01870>，以及乖謬的<08419>口<06310>，都為我所恨惡<08130>(8804)。
The fear<03374> of the LORD<03068> is to hate<08130>(8800) evil<07451>: pride<01344>, and arrogancy<01347>, and the evil<07451> way<01870>, and the froward<08419> mouth<06310>, do I hate<08130>(8804).
8:14 我有<09001>謀略<06098>和真知識<08454>；我<0589>乃聰明<0998>，我有<09001>能力<01369>。
Counsel<06098> is mine, and sound wisdom<08454>: I am understanding<0998>; I have strength<01369>.
8:15 帝王<04428>藉我<09002>坐國位<04427>(8799)；君王<07336>(8802)藉我定<02710>(8779)公平<06664>。
By me kings<04428> reign<04427>(8799), and princes<07336>(8802) decree<02710>(8779) justice<06664>.
8:16 王子<08269>和首領<05081>，世上<0776>一切的<03605>審判官<08199>(8802)，都是藉我<09002>掌權<08323>(8799)。
By me princes<08269> rule<08323>(8799), and nobles<05081>, even all the judges<08199>(8802) of the earth<0776>.
8:17 愛我的<0157>(8802)，我<0589>也愛他<0157>(8799)；懇切尋求我的<07836>(8764)，必尋得見<04672>(8799)。
I love<0157>(8799) them that love<0157>(8802) me; and those that seek me early<07836>(8764) shall find<04672>(8799) me.
8:18 豐富<06239>尊榮<03519>在我<0854>；恆久的<06276>財<01952>並公義<06666>也在我。
Riches<06239> and honour<03519> are with me; yea , durable<06276> riches<01952> and righteousness<06666>.
8:19 我的果實<06529>勝<02896>過黃金<04480><02742>，強如精金<04480><06337>；我的出產<08393>超乎高<0977>(8737)銀<04480><03701>。
My fruit<06529> is better<02896> than gold<02742>, yea, than fine gold<06337>; and my revenue<08393> than choice<0977>(8737) silver<03701>.
8:20 我在公義<06666>的道上<09002><0734>走<01980>(8762)，在公平<04941>的路<05410>中<09002><08432>行，
I lead<01980>(8762) in the way<0734> of righteousness<06666>, in the midst<08432> of the paths<05410> of judgment<04941>: {lead: or, walk}

That I may cause those that love<0157>(8802) me to inherit<05157>(8687) substance<03426>; and I will fill<04390>(8762) their treasures<0214>.
8:22 在耶和華<03068>造化<01870>的起頭<07225>，在太初<04480><0227>創造萬物<04659>之先<06924>，就有了我<07069>(8804)。
The LORD<03068> possessed<07069>(8804) me in the beginning<07225> of his way<01870>, before<06924> his works<04659> of old.

I was set up<05258>(8738) from everlasting<05769>, from the beginning<07218>, or ever<06924> the earth<0776> was.
8:24 沒有<09002><0369>深淵<08415>，沒有<09002><0369>大<03513>(8737)水<04325>的泉源<04599>，我已生出<02342>(8797)。
When there were no depths<08415>, I was brought forth<02342>(8797); when there were no fountains<04599> abounding<03513>(8737) with water<04325>.
8:25 大山<02022>未曾<09002><02962>奠定<02883>(8717)，小山<01389>未有之先<09001><06440>，我已生出<02342>(8797)。
Before the mountains<02022> were settled<02883>(8717), before<06440> the hills<01389> was I brought forth<02342>(8797):
8:26 耶和華還<05704>沒有<03808>創造<06213>(8804)大地<0776>和田野<02351>，並世上<08398>的土<06083>質<07218>，我已生出。
While as yet he had not made<06213>(8804) the earth<0776>, nor the fields<02351>, nor the highest part<07218> of the dust<06083> of the world<08398>. {fields: or, open places} {the highest...: or, the chief part}

Blessed<0835> is the man<0120> that heareth<08085>(8802) me, watching<08245>(8800) daily<03117><03117> at my gates<01817>, waiting<08104>(8800) at the posts<04201> of my doors<06607>.

8:36 得罪我的<02398>(8802)，卻害了<02554>(8802)自己的性命<05315>；恨惡我的<08130>(8764)，都<03605>喜愛<0157>(8804)死亡<04194>。
But he that sinneth<02398>(8802) against me wrongeth<02554>(8802) his own soul<05315>: all they that hate<08130>(8764) me love<0157>(8804) death<04194>.
