My son<01121>, if thou be surety<06148>(8804) for thy friend<07453>, if thou hast stricken<08628>(8804) thy hand<03709> with a stranger<02114>(8801),
6:2 你就被口中<06310>的話語<09002><0561>纏住<03369>(8738)，被嘴裡<06310>的言語<09002><0561>捉住<03920>(8738)。
Thou art snared<03369>(8738) with the words<0561> of thy mouth<06310>, thou art taken<03920>(8738) with the words<0561> of thy mouth<06310>.
6:3 我兒<01121>，你既<03588>落<0935>(8804)在朋友<07453>手中<09002><03709>，就當<0645>這樣<02063>行<06213>(8798)才可救自己<05337>(8734)：你要自卑<07511>(8690)，去<03212>(8798)懇求<07292>(8798)你的朋友<07453>。
Do<06213>(8798) this now<0645>, my son<01121>, and deliver<05337>(8734) thyself, when thou art come<0935>(8804) into the hand<03709> of thy friend<07453>; go<03212>(8798), humble<07511>(8690) thyself, and make sure<07292>(8798) thy friend<07453>. {and make...: or, so shalt thou prevail with thy friend}
6:4 不要<0408>容<05414>(8799)你的眼睛<09001><05869>睡覺<08142>；不要容你的眼皮<09001><06079>打盹<08572>。
Give<05414>(8799) not sleep<08142> to thine eyes<05869>, nor slumber<08572> to thine eyelids<06079>.
6:5 要救自己<05337>(8734)，如鹿<09003><06643>脫離獵戶的手<04480><03027>，如鳥<09003><06833>脫離捕鳥人<03353>的手<04480><03027>。
Deliver<05337>(8734) thyself as a roe<06643> from the hand<03027> of the hunter , and as a bird<06833> from the hand<03027> of the fowler<03353>.
6:6 懶惰人<06102>哪，你去<03212>(8798){<0413>}察看<07200>(8798)螞蟻<05244>的動作<01870>就可得智慧<02449>(8798)。
Go<03212>(8798) to the ant<05244>, thou sluggard<06102>; consider<07200>(8798) her ways<01870>, and be wise<02449>(8798):
6:7 螞蟻{<0834>}沒有<0369>{<09001>}元帥<07101>，沒有官長<07860>(8802)，沒有君王<04910>(8802)，
Which having no guide<07101>, overseer<07860>(8802), or ruler<04910>(8802),
6:8 尚且在夏天<09002><07019>預備<03559>(8686)食物<03899>，在收割時<09002><07105>聚斂<0103>(8804)糧食<03978>。
Provideth<03559>(8686) her meat<03899> in the summer<07019>, and gathereth<0103>(8804) her food<03978> in the harvest<07105>.
6:9 懶惰人哪<06102>，你要睡<07901>(8799)到<05704>幾時<04970>呢？你何時<04970>睡<04480><08142>醒<06965>(8799)呢？
How long wilt thou sleep<07901>(8799), O sluggard<06102>? when wilt thou arise<06965>(8799) out of thy sleep<08142>?
6:10 再睡<08142>片時<04592>，打盹<08572>片時<04592>，抱著<02264>手<03027>躺臥<09001><07901>(8800)片時<04592>，
Yet a little<04592> sleep<08142>, a little<04592> slumber<08572>, a little<04592> folding<02264> of the hands<03027> to sleep<07901>(8800):
6:11 你的貧窮<07389>就必如強盜<09003><01980>(8764)速來<0935>(8804)，你的缺乏<04270>彷彿拿兵器的<04043>人<09003><0376>來到。
So shall thy poverty<07389> come<0935>(8804) as one that travelleth<01980>(8764), and thy want<04270> as an armed<04043> man<0376>.
6:12 無賴的<01100><0120>惡<0205>徒<0376>，行動<01980>(8802)就用乖僻的<06143>口<06310>，
A naughty<01100> person<0120>, a wicked<0205> man<0376>, walketh<01980>(8802) with a froward<06143> mouth<06310>.
6:13 用眼<09002><05869>傳神<07169>(8802)，用腳<09002><07272>示意<04448>(8802)，用指<09002><0676>點劃<03384>(8688)，
He winketh<07169>(8802) with his eyes<05869>, he speaketh<04448>(8802) with his feet<07272>, he teacheth<03384>(8688) with his fingers<0676>;
6:14 心中<09002><03820>乖僻<08419>，常<09002><03605><06256>設<02790>(8802)惡謀<07451>，布散<07971>(8762)紛爭<04066>(8675)<04090>。
Frowardness<08419> is in his heart<03820>, he deviseth<02790>(8802) mischief<07451> continually<06256>; he soweth<07971>(8762) discord<04066>(8675)<04090>. {soweth: Heb. casteth forth}
6:15 所以<05921><03651>，災難<0343>必忽然<06597>臨到<0935>(8799)他身；他必頃刻<06621>敗壞<07665>(8735)，無法<0369>可治<04832>。
Therefore shall his calamity<0343> come<0935>(8799) suddenly<06597>; suddenly<06621> shall he be broken<07665>(8735) without remedy<04832>.
6:16 耶和華<03068>所恨惡的<08130>(8804)有{<02007>}六樣<08337>，連他心<05315>所憎惡的<08441>共有七樣<07651>：
These six<08337> things doth the LORD<03068> hate<08130>(8804): yea, seven<07651> are an abomination<08441> unto him<05315>: {unto...: Heb. of his soul}

An heart<03820> that deviseth<02790>(8802) wicked<0205> imaginations<04284>, feet<07272> that be swift<04116>(8764) in running<07323>(8800) to mischief<07451>,
6:19 吐<06315>(8686)謊言<03577>的假<08267>見證<05707>，並弟兄<0251>中<0996>布散<07971>(8764)紛爭<04090>的人。
A false<08267> witness<05707> that speaketh<06315>(8686) lies<03577>, and he that soweth<07971>(8764) discord<04090> among brethren<0251>.
6:20 我兒<01121>，要謹守<05341>(8798)你父親的<01>誡命<04687>；不可<0408>離棄<05203>(8799)你母親<0517>的法則<08451>（或譯：指教），
My son<01121>, keep<05341>(8798) thy father's<01> commandment<04687>, and forsake<05203>(8799) not the law<08451> of thy mother<0517>:
6:21 要常<08548>繫<07194>(8798)在<05921>你心<03820>上，掛<06029>(8798)在<05921>你項<01621>上。
Bind<07194>(8798) them continually<08548> upon thine heart<03820>, and tie<06029>(8798) them about thy neck<01621>.
6:22 你行走<09002><01980>(8692)，它必引導<05148>(8686)你<0853>；你躺臥<09002><07901>(8800)，它必保守<08104>(8799)你<05921>；你睡醒<06974>(8689)，它<01931>必與你談論<07878>(8799)。
When thou goest<01980>(8692), it shall lead<05148>(8686) thee; when thou sleepest<07901>(8800), it shall keep<08104>(8799) thee; and when thou awakest<06974>(8689), it shall talk<07878>(8799) with thee.
6:23 因為<03588>誡命<04687>是燈<05216>，法則<08451>（或譯：指教）是光<0216>，訓誨<04148>的責備<08433>是生命<02416>的道<01870>，
For the commandment<04687> is a lamp<05216>; and the law<08451> is light<0216>; and reproofs<08433> of instruction<04148> are the way<01870> of life<02416>: {lamp: or, candle}

Can a man<0376> take<02846>(8799) fire<0784> in his bosom<02436>, and his clothes<0899> not be burned<08313>(8735)?
6:28 人<0376>若<0518>在<05921>火炭<01513>上走<01980>(8762)，腳<07272>豈能不<03808>燙<03554>(8735)呢？
Can one<0376> go<01980>(8762) upon hot coals<01513>, and his feet<07272> not be burned<03554>(8735)?
6:29 親近<0935>(8802){<0413>}鄰舍<07453>之妻<0802>的，也是如此<03651>；凡<03605>挨近<05060>(8802)她<09002>的，不<03808>免受罰<05352>(8735)。
So he that goeth in<0935>(8802) to his neighbour's<07453> wife<0802>; whosoever toucheth<05060>(8802) her shall not be innocent<05352>(8735).
6:30 {<03588>}賊<09001><01590>因<03588>飢餓<07456>(8799)偷竊<01589>(8799)充飢<09001><04390>(8763)<05315>，人不<03808>藐視他<0936>(8799)，
Men do not despise<0936>(8799) a thief<01590>, if he steal<01589>(8799) to satisfy<04390>(8763) his soul<05315> when he is hungry<07456>(8799);
6:31 若被找著<04672>(8738)，他必賠還<07999>(8762)七倍<07659>，必將<0853>家中<01004>所有的<01952>盡都<03605>償還<05414>(8799)。
But if he be found<04672>(8738), he shall restore<07999>(8762) sevenfold<07659>; he shall give<05414>(8799) all the substance<01952> of his house<01004>.
6:32 與婦人<0802>行淫<05003>(8802)的，便是無<02638>知<03820>；行這事的<06213>(8799)，{<01931>}必喪掉<07843>(8688)生命<05315>。
But whoso committeth adultery<05003>(8802) with a woman<0802> lacketh<02638> understanding<03820>: he that doeth<06213>(8799) it destroyeth<07843>(8688) his own soul<05315>. {understanding: Heb. heart}
6:33 他必受<04672>(8799)傷損<05061>，必被<04672><00>凌辱<07036>；他的羞恥<02781>不得<03808>塗抹<04229>(8735)。
A wound<05061> and dishonour<07036> shall he get<04672>(8799); and his reproach<02781> shall not be wiped away<04229>(8735).
6:34 因為<03588>人<01397>的嫉恨<07068>成了烈怒<02534>，報仇<05359>的時候<09002><03117>決不<03808>留情<02550>(8799)。
For jealousy<07068> is the rage<02534> of a man<01397>: therefore he will not spare<02550>(8799) in the day<03117> of vengeance<05359>.
6:35 甚麼<03605>贖價<03724>，他都不<03808>顧<05375>(8799)<06440>；你雖<03588>送許多<07235>(8686)禮物<07810>，他也不肯<03808>干休<014>(8799)。
