31 我與眼睛<09001><05869>立<03772>(8804)約<01285>，怎能<04100>戀戀瞻望<0995>(8709){<05921>}處女<01330>呢？
I made<03772>(8804) a covenant<01285> with mine eyes<05869>; why then should I think<0995>(8709) upon a maid<01330>?
2 從至上<04480><04605>的　神<0433>所得之分<02506>，從至高<04480><04791>全能者<07706>所得之業<05159>是甚麼<04100>呢？
For what portion<02506> of God<0433> is there from above<04605>? and what inheritance<05159> of the Almighty<07706> from on high<04791>?
3 豈不是<03808>禍患<0343>臨到不義的<09001><05767>，災害<05235>臨到作<09001><06466>(8802)孽<0205>的呢？
Is not destruction<0343> to the wicked<05767>? and a strange<05235> punishment to the workers<06466>(8802) of iniquity<0205>?
4 　神<01931>豈不是<03808>察看<07200>(8799)我的道路<01870>，數點<05608>(8799){<03605>}我的腳步<06806>呢？
Doth not he see<07200>(8799) my ways<01870>, and count<05608>(8799) all my steps<06806>?
5 我若<0518>與<05973>虛謊<07723>同行<01980>(8804)，腳<07272>若追<02363>(8799)隨<05921>詭詐<04820>；
If I have walked<01980>(8804) with vanity<07723>, or if my foot<07272> hath hasted<02363>(8799) to deceit<04820>;
6 （我若被公道的<06664>天平<09002><03976>稱度<08254>(8799)，使　神<0433>可以知道<03045>(8799)我的純正<08538>；）
Let me be weighed<08254>(8799) in an even<06664> balance<03976>, that God<0433> may know<03045>(8799) mine integrity<08538>. {Let...: Heb. Let him weigh me in balances of justice}
7 我的腳步<0838>若<0518>偏<05186>(8799)離<04480>正路<01870>，我的心<03820>若隨<01980>(8804)著<0310>我的眼目<05869>，若有玷污<03971>粘<01692>(8804)在我手上<09002><03709>；
If my step<0838> hath turned out<05186>(8799) of the way<01870>, and mine heart<03820> walked<01980>(8804) after<0310> mine eyes<05869>, and if any blot<03971> hath cleaved<01692>(8804) to mine hands<03709>;
8 就願我所種的<02232>(8799)有別人<0312>吃<0398>(8799)，我田所產的<06631>被拔出來<08327>(8792)。
Then let me sow<02232>(8799), and let another<0312> eat<0398>(8799); yea, let my offspring<06631> be rooted out<08327>(8792).
9 我<03820>若<0518>受迷惑<06601>(8738)，向<05921>婦人<0802>起淫念，在<05921>鄰舍<07453>的門外<06607>蹲伏<0693>(8804)，
If mine heart<03820> have been deceived<06601>(8738) by a woman<0802>, or if I have laid wait<0693>(8804) at my neighbour's<07453> door<06607>;
10 就願我的妻子<0802>給別人<09001><0312>推磨<02912>(8799)，別人<0312>也與她<05921>同室<03766>(8799)。
Then let my wife<0802> grind<02912>(8799) unto another<0312>, and let others<0312> bow down<03766>(8799) upon her.
11 因為<03588>這是<01931>大罪<02154>，是<01931>審判官<06414>當罰的罪孽<05771>。
For this is an heinous crime<02154>; yea, it is an iniquity<05771> to be punished by the judges<06414>.
12 這本<03588>是<01931>火<0784>焚燒<0398>(8799)，直到<05704>毀滅<011>，必拔除<08327>(8762)我所有的<09002><03605>家產<08393>。
For it is a fire<0784> that consumeth<0398>(8799) to destruction<011>, and would root out<08327>(8762) all mine increase<08393>.
13 我的僕<05650>婢<0519>與我<05978>爭辯<09002><07379>的時候，我若<0518>藐視<03988>(8799)不聽他們的情節<04941>；
If I did despise<03988>(8799) the cause<04941> of my manservant<05650> or of my maidservant<0519>, when they contended<07379> with me;
14 {<03588>}　神<0410>興起<06965>(8799)，我怎樣<04100>行<06213>(8799)呢？他察問<06485>(8799)，我怎樣<04100>回答<07725>(8686)呢？
What then shall I do<06213>(8799) when God<0410> riseth up<06965>(8799)? and when he visiteth<06485>(8799), what shall I answer<07725>(8686) him?
15 造<06213>(8802)我在腹中<09002><0990>的，不也是<03808>造他<06213>(8804)嗎？將他與我摶<03559>(8787)在腹中<09002><07358>的豈不是一位<0259>嗎？
Did not he that made<06213>(8802) me in the womb<0990> make<06213>(8804) him? and did not one<0259> fashion<03559>(8787) us in the womb<07358>? {did not one...: or, did he not fashion us in one womb?}
16 我若<0518>不容<04513>(8799)貧寒人<01800>得其所願<04480><02656>，或叫寡婦<0490>眼中<05869>失望<03615>(8762)，
If I have withheld<04513>(8799) the poor<01800> from their desire<02656>, or have caused the eyes<05869> of the widow<0490> to fail<03615>(8762);
17 或獨自<09001><0905>吃<0398>(8799)我一點食物<06595>，孤兒<03490>沒有<03808>與我<04480>同吃<0398>(8804)；
Or have eaten<0398>(8799) my morsel<06595> myself alone, and the fatherless<03490> hath not eaten<0398>(8804) thereof;
18 （{<03588>}從幼年時<04480><05271>孤兒與我同長<01431>(8804)，好像父<09003><01>子一樣；我從出母<0517>腹<04480><0990>就扶助（原文是引領<05148>(8686)）寡婦。）
(For from my youth<05271> he was brought up<01431>(8804) with me, as with a father<01>, and I have guided<05148>(8686) her from my mother's<0517> womb<0990>;) {her: that is, the widow}
19 我若<0518>見<07200>(8799)人因無<04480><01097>衣<03830>死亡<06>(8802)，或見窮乏人<09001><034>身無<0369>遮蓋<03682>；
If I have seen<07200>(8799) any perish<06>(8802) for want of clothing<03830>, or any poor<034> without covering<03682>;
20 我若<0518>不<03808>使他<02504>因我羊<03532>的毛<04480><01488>得暖<02552>(8691)，為我祝福<01288>(8765)；
If his loins<02504> have not blessed<01288>(8765) me, and if he were not warmed<02552>(8691) with the fleece<01488> of my sheep<03532>;
21 我若<0518>在城門口<09002><08179>{<03588>}見<07200>(8799)有幫助我的<05833>，舉<05130>(8689)手<03027>攻擊<05921>孤兒<03490>；
If I have lifted up<05130>(8689) my hand<03027> against the fatherless<03490>, when I saw<07200>(8799) my help<05833> in the gate<08179>:
22 情願我的肩頭<03802>從缺盆骨<04480><07926>脫落<05307>(8799)，我的膀臂<0248>從羊矢骨<04480><07070>折斷<07665>(8735)。
Then let mine arm<03802> fall<05307>(8799) from my shoulder blade<07929>, and mine arm<0248> be broken<07665>(8735) from the bone<07070>. {bone: or, chanelbone}
23 因<03588>　神<0410>降的災禍<0343>使我<0413>恐懼<06343>；因他的威嚴<04480><07613>，我不<03808>能<03201>(8799)妄為。
For destruction<0343> from God<0410> was a terror<06343> to me, and by reason of his highness<07613> I could<03201>(8799) not endure.
24 我若<0518>以<07760>(8804)黃金<02091>為指望<03689>，對精金<09001><03800>說<0559>(8804)：你是我的倚靠<04009>；
If I have made<07760>(8804) gold<02091> my hope<03689>, or have said<0559>(8804) to the fine gold<03800>, Thou art my confidence<04009>;
25 我若<0518>因<03588>財物<02428>豐裕<07227>，因<03588>我手<03027>多<03524>得<04672>(8804)資財而歡喜<08055>(8799)；
If I rejoiced<08055>(8799) because my wealth<02428> was great<07227>, and because mine hand<03027> had gotten<04672>(8804) much<03524>; {gotten...: Heb. found much}
26 我若<0518>見<07200>(8799)太陽<0216>{<03588>}發光<01984>(8686)，明<03368>月<03394>行<01980>(8802)在空中，
If I beheld<07200>(8799) the sun<0216> when it shined<01984>(8686), or the moon<03394> walking<01980>(8802) in brightness<03368>; {sun: Heb. light} {in...: Heb. bright}
27 心<03820>就暗暗<09002><05643>被引誘<06601>(8799)，口<09001><06310>便親<05401>(8799)手<03027>；
And my heart<03820> hath been secretly<05643> enticed<06601>(8799), or my mouth<06310> hath kissed<05401>(8799) my hand<03027>: {my mouth...: Heb. my hand hath kissed my mouth}
28 這也<01571>是<01931>審判官<06416>當罰的罪孽<05771>，又是<03588>我背棄<03584>(8765)在上的<04480><04605>　神<09001><0410>。
This also were an iniquity<05771> to be punished by the judge<06416>: for I should have denied<03584>(8765) the God<0410> that is above<04605>.
29 我若<0518>見恨我的<08130>(8764)遭報<09002><06365>就歡喜<08055>(8799)，{<03588>}見他遭<04672>(8804)災<07451>便高興<05782>(8712)；
If I rejoiced<08055>(8799) at the destruction<06365> of him that hated<08130>(8764) me, or lifted up<05782>(8712) myself when evil<07451> found<04672>(8804) him:
30 （我沒有<03808>容<05414>(8804)口<02441>犯罪<09001><02398>(8800)，{<09001>}{<07592>}{(8800)}咒詛<09002><0423>他的生命<05315>；）
Neither have I suffered<05414>(8804) my mouth<02441> to sin<02398>(8800) by wishing<07592>(8800) a curse<0423> to his soul<05315>. {mouth: Heb. palate}
31 若<0518>我帳棚<0168>的人<04962>未嘗<03808>說<0559>(8804)，誰<04310>不<03808>以<05414>(8799)主人的食物<04480><01320>吃飽<07646>(8799)呢？
If the men<04962> of my tabernacle<0168> said<0559>(8804) not, Oh that we had<05414>(8799) of his flesh<01320>! we cannot be satisfied<07646>(8799).
32 （從來我沒有<03808>容客旅<01616>在街上<09002><02351>住宿<03885>(8799)，卻開<06605>(8799)門<01817>迎接行路的人<09001><0734>；）
The stranger<01616> did not lodge<03885>(8799) in the street<02351>: but I opened<06605>(8799) my doors<01817> to the traveller<0734>. {traveller: or, way}
33 我若<0518>像亞當<09003><0121>（或譯：別人）遮掩<03680>(8765)我的過犯<06588>，將罪孽<05771>藏<09001><02934>(8800)在懷中<09002><02243>；
If I covered<03680>(8765) my transgressions<06588> as Adam<0121>, by hiding<02934>(8800) mine iniquity<05771> in my bosom<02243>: {as Adam: or, after the manner of men}
34 因<03588>懼怕<06206>(8799)大<07227>眾<01995>，又因宗族<04940>藐視<0937>我使我驚恐<02865>(8686)，以致閉口無言<01826>(8799)，杜門<06607>不<03808>出<03318>(8799)；
Did I fear<06206>(8799) a great<07227> multitude<01995>, or did the contempt<0937> of families<04940> terrify<02865>(8686) me, that I kept silence<01826>(8799), and went not out<03318>(8799) of the door<06607>?
35 惟願<05414>(8799)有<09001>一位<04310>肯聽<08085>(8802)我<09001>！（看哪<02005>，在這裡有我所劃的押<08420>，願全能者<07706>回答我<06030>(8799)！）
Oh that<05414>(8799) one would hear<08085>(8802) me! behold, my desire<08420> is, that the Almighty<07706> would answer<06030>(8799) me, and that mine adversary<0376><07379> had written<03789>(8804) a book<05612>. {my...: or, my sign is that the Almighty will}
36 願那敵我<07379>者<0376>所寫<03789>(8804)的狀詞<05612>在我這裡！我必<0518><03808>帶<05375>(8799)在<05921>肩上<07926>，又綁<06029>(8799)在頭上<09001>為冠冕<05850>。
Surely I would take<05375>(8799) it upon my shoulder<07926>, and bind<06029>(8799) it as a crown<05850> to me.
37 我必向他述說<05046>(8686)我腳步<06806>的數目<04557>，必如<03644>君王<05057>進到他面前<07126>(8762)。
I would declare<05046>(8686) unto him the number<04557> of my steps<06806>; as a prince<05057> would I go near<07126>(8762) unto him.
38 我若<0518>奪取田地，這地<0127>向我<05921>喊冤<02199>(8799)，犁溝<08525>一同<03162>哭泣<01058>(8799)；
If my land<0127> cry<02199>(8799) against me, or that the furrows<08525> likewise<03162> thereof complain<01058>(8799); {complain: Heb. weep}
39 我若<0518>吃<0398>(8804)地的出產<03581>不<01097>給價值<03701>，或叫原主<01167>喪<05301>(8689)命<05315>；
If I have eaten<0398>(8804) the fruits<03581> thereof without money<03701>, or have caused the owners<01167> thereof to lose<05301>(8689) their life<05315>: {fruits: Heb. strength} {the owners...: Heb. the soul of the owners thereof to expire, or, breathe out}
40 願這地長<03318>(8799)蒺藜<02336>代替<08478>麥子<02406>，長惡草<0890>代替<08478>大麥<08184>。約伯<0347>的話<01697>說完了<08552>(8804)。
Let thistles<02336> grow<03318>(8799) instead of wheat<02406>, and cockle<0890> instead of barley<08184>. The words<01697> of Job<0347> are ended<08552>(8804). {cockle: or, noisome weeds}
