21:1 約伯<0347>回答<06030>(8799)說<0559>(8799)：
But Job<0347> answered<06030>(8799) and said<0559>(8799),
21:2 你們要細<08085>(8800)聽<08085>(8798)我的言語<04405>，就<02063>算是<01961>你們安慰<08575>我。
Hear<08085>(8798) diligently<08085>(8800) my speech<04405>, and let this be your consolations<08575>.
21:3 請寬容我<05375>(8798)，我<0595>又要說話<01696>(8762)；說了<01696>(8763)以後<0310>，任憑你們嗤笑<03932>(8686)吧！
Suffer<05375>(8798) me that I may speak<01696>(8762); and after<0310> that I have spoken<01696>(8763), mock on<03932>(8686).
21:4 我<0595>豈是向人<09001><0120>訴冤<07879>？{<0518>}為何<04069>{<07307>}不<03808>焦急<07114>(8799)呢？
As for me, is my complaint<07879> to man<0120>? and if it were so , why should not my spirit<07307> be troubled<07114>(8799)? {troubled: Heb. shortened?}
21:5 你們要看著<06437>(8798)我<0413>而驚奇<08074>(8713)，用<07760>(8798)手<03027>摀<05921>口<06310>。

21:6 我每逢<0518>思想<02142>(8804)，心就驚惶<0926>(8738)，渾{<0270>}{(8804)}身<01320>戰兢<06427>。
Even when I remember<02142>(8804) I am afraid<0926>(8738), and trembling<06427> taketh hold on<0270>(8804) my flesh<01320>.
21:7 惡人<07563>為何<04069>存活<02421>(8799)，享大壽數<06275>(8804)，{<01571>}勢力<02428>強盛<01396>(8804)呢？
Wherefore do the wicked<07563> live<02421>(8799), become old<06275>(8804), yea, are mighty<01396>(8804) in power<02428>?
21:8 他們眼見<09001><05869>兒孫<02233>，和他們<05973>一同<09001><06440>堅立<03559>(8737){<06631>}。
Their seed<02233> is established<03559>(8737) in their sight<06440> with them, and their offspring<06631> before their eyes<05869>.
21:9 他們的家宅<01004>平安<07965>無懼<04480><06343>；神<0433>的杖<07626>也不<03808>加在他們身上<05921>。
Their houses<01004> are safe<07965> from fear<06343>, neither is the rod<07626> of God<0433> upon them. {safe...: Heb. peace from}

Their bull<07794> gendereth<05674>(8765), and faileth<01602>(8686) not; their cow<06510> calveth<06403>(8762), and casteth not her calf<07921>(8762).
21:11 他們打發<07971>(8762)小孩子<05759>出去，多如羊群<09003><06629>；他們的兒女<03206>踴躍跳舞<07540>(8762)。
They send forth<07971>(8762) their little ones<05759> like a flock<06629>, and their children<03206> dance<07540>(8762).
21:12 他們隨著<05375>(8799)琴<03658>鼓<09003><08596>歌唱，又因簫<05748>聲<09001><06963>歡喜<08055>。

Therefore they say<0559>(8799) unto God<0410>, Depart<05493>(8798) from us; for we desire<02654>(8804) not the knowledge<01847> of thy ways<01870>.
21:15 全能者<07706>是誰<04100>，{<03588>}我們何必事奉他<05647>(8799)呢？求告<06293>(8799)他<09002>有甚麼<04100>益處<03276>(8686)呢？
What is the Almighty<07706>, that we should serve<05647>(8799) him? and what profit<03276>(8686) should we have, if we pray<06293>(8799) unto him?
21:16 看哪<02005>，他們亨通<02898>不<03808>在乎自己<09002><03027>；惡人<07563>所謀定的<06098>離我<04480>好遠<07368>(8804)。
Lo, their good<02898> is not in their hand<03027>: the counsel<06098> of the wicked<07563> is far<07368>(8804) from me.
21:17 惡人<07563>的燈<05216>何嘗<09003><04100>熄滅<01846>(8799)？患難<0343>何嘗臨<0935>(8799)到他們<05921>呢？神何嘗發怒<09002><0639>，向他們分散<02505>(8762)災禍<02256>呢？
How oft is the candle<05216> of the wicked<07563> put out<01846>(8799)! and how oft cometh<0935>(8799) their destruction<0343> upon them! God distributeth<02505>(8762) sorrows<02256> in his anger<0639>. {candle: or, lamp}
21:18 {<01961>}他們何嘗像風<07307>前<09001><06440>的碎秸<09003><08401>，如暴風<05492>颳去<01589>(8804)的糠秕<09003><04671>呢？
They are as stubble<08401> before<06440> the wind<07307>, and as chaff<04671> that the storm<05492> carrieth away<01589>(8804). {carrieth: Heb. stealeth}
21:19 你們說：神<0433>為惡人的兒女<09001><01121>積蓄<06845>(8799)罪孽<0205>；我說：不如本人<0413>受報<07999>(8762)，好使他親自知道<03045>(8799)。

Shall any teach<03925>(8762) God<0410> knowledge<01847>? seeing he judgeth<08199>(8799) those that are high<07311>(8802).
21:23 有人<02088>至死<04191>(8799)身體強壯<09002><06106>{<08537>}，盡<03605>得平靖<07946>安逸<07961>；

They shall lie down<07901>(8799) alike<03162> in the dust<06083>, and the worms<07415> shall cover<03680>(8762) them.
21:27 {<02005>}我知道<03045>(8804)你們的意思<04284>，並誣害<02554>(8799)我<05921>的計謀<04209>。
Behold, I know<03045>(8804) your thoughts<04284>, and the devices<04209> which ye wrongfully imagine<02554>(8799) against me.
21:28 {<03588>}你們說<0559>(8799)：霸者<05081>的房屋<01004>在哪裡<0346>？惡人<07563>住過的<04908>帳棚<0168>在哪裡<0346>？
For ye say<0559>(8799), Where is the house<01004> of the prince<05081>? and where are the dwelling<04908> places<0168> of the wicked<07563>? {the dwelling...: Heb. the tent of the tabernacles}
21:29 你們豈沒有<03808>詢問<07592>(8804)過<05674>(8802)路<01870>的人嗎？不<03808>知道<05234>(8762)他們所引的證據<0226>嗎？
Have ye not asked<07592>(8804) them that go<05674>(8802) by the way<01870>? and do ye not know<05234>(8762) their tokens<0226>,
21:30 就是<03588>惡人<07451>在禍患<0343>的日子<09001><03117>得存留<02820>(8735)，在發怒<05678>的日子<09001><03117>得逃脫<02986>(8714)。
That the wicked<07451> is reserved<02820>(8735) to the day<03117> of destruction<0343>? they shall be brought forth<02986>(8714) to the day<03117> of wrath<05678>. {wrath: Heb. wraths}

21:32 然而他<01931>要被抬<02986>(8714)到塋地<09001><06913>；並有人看守<08245>(8799){<05921>}墳墓<01430>。

The clods<07263> of the valley<05158> shall be sweet<04985>(8804) unto him, and every man<0120> shall draw<04900>(8799) after<0310> him, as there are innumerable<04557> before<06440> him.
21:34 你們對答<08666>的話中既都<07604>(8738)錯謬<04604>，怎麼<0349>徒然<01892>安慰我<05162>(8762)呢？
