16:1 約伯<0347>回答<06030>(8799)說<0559>(8799)：
Then Job<0347> answered<06030>(8799) and said<0559>(8799),
16:2 這樣的話<09003><0428>我聽了<08085>(8804)許多<07227>；你們<03605>安慰人<05162>(8764)，反叫人愁煩<05999>。
I have heard<08085>(8804) many such things<07227>: miserable<05999> comforters<05162>(8764) are ye all. {miserable: or, troublesome}
16:3 虛空的<07307>言語<09001><01697>有窮盡<07093>嗎？{<0176>}有甚麼<04100>話惹動你<04834>(8686){<03588>}回答<06030>(8799)呢？
Shall vain<07307> words<01697> have an end<07093>? or what emboldeneth<04834>(8686) thee that thou answerest<06030>(8799)? {vain...: Heb. words of wind}
16:4 我<0595>也<01571>能說<01696>(8762)你們<09003>那樣的話；你們<05315>若<03863>處在<03426>我的<05315>境遇<08478>，我也會聯絡<02266>(8686)言語<09002><04405>攻擊你們<05921>，又能向你們<05921>搖<05128>(8686){<01119>}頭<07218>。
I also could speak<01696>(8762) as ye do : if<03863> your soul<05315> were<03426> in my soul's<05315> stead, I could heap up<02266>(8686) words<04405> against you, and shake<05128>(8686) mine head<07218> at<01119> you.
16:5 但我必用<01119>口<06310>堅固你們<0553>(8762)，用<05205>嘴<08193>消解你們的憂愁<02820>(8799)。
But I would strengthen<0553>(8762) you with<01119> my mouth<06310>, and the moving<05205> of my lips<08193> should asswage<02820>(8799) your grief .
16:6 我雖<0518>說話<01696>(8762)，憂愁<03511>仍不得<03808>消解<02820>(8735)；我雖停住不說<02308>(8799)，{<04100>}憂愁就離開<01980>(8799)我<04480>嗎？
Though I speak<01696>(8762), my grief<03511> is not asswaged<02820>(8735): and though I forbear<02308>(8799), what am I eased<01980>(8799)? {what...: Heb. what goeth from me?}
16:7 但<0389>現在<06258>上帝使我困倦<03811>(8689)，使{<03605>}親友<05712>遠離<08074>(8689)我，
But now he hath made me weary<03811>(8689): thou hast made desolate<08074>(8689) all my company<05712>.
16:8 又抓住我<07059>(8799)，作<01961>見證<09001><05707>攻擊我<09002>；我身體的枯瘦<03585>{<06965>}{(8799)}也當面<09002><06440>見證<06030>(8799)我的不是。
And thou hast filled me with wrinkles<07059>(8799), which is a witness<05707> against me : and my leanness<03585> rising up<06965>(8799) in me beareth witness<06030>(8799) to my face<06440>.
16:9 主發怒<0639>撕裂<02963>(8804)我，逼迫我<07852>(8799)，向我<05921>切<02786>(8804)齒<09002><08127>；我的敵人<06862>怒<03913>(8799)目<05869>看我<09001>。
He teareth<02963>(8804) me in his wrath<0639>, who hateth<07852>(8799) me: he gnasheth<02786>(8804) upon me with his teeth<08127>; mine enemy<06862> sharpeneth<03913>(8799) his eyes<05869> upon me.
16:10 他們向我<05921>開<06473>(8804)口<09002><06310>，打<05221>(8689)我的臉<03895>羞辱<09002><02781>我，聚<04390>(8691)會<03162>攻擊我<05921>。
They have gaped<06473>(8804) upon me with their mouth<06310>; they have smitten<05221>(8689) me upon the cheek<03895> reproachfully<02781>; they have gathered<04390>(8691) themselves together<03162> against me.
16:11 上帝<0410>把我交<05462>(8686)給<0413>不敬虔的人<05760>，把我扔<03399>(8804)到<05921>惡人<07563>的手中<03027>。
God<0410> hath delivered<05462>(8686) me to the ungodly<05760>, and turned me over<03399>(8804) into the hands<03027> of the wicked<07563>. {hath...: Heb. hath shut me up}

I was at ease<07961>, but he hath broken me asunder<06565>(8770): he hath also taken<0270>(8804) me by my neck<06203>, and shaken me to pieces<06327>(8770), and set me up<06965>(8686) for his mark<04307>.
16:13 他的弓箭手<07228>四面圍繞<05437>(8799)我<05921>；他破裂<06398>(8762)我的肺腑<03629>，並不<03808>留情<02550>(8799)，把我的膽<04845>傾倒<08210>(8799)在地上<09001><0776>，
His archers<07228> compass me round about<05437>(8799), he cleaveth<06398><00> my reins<03629> asunder<06398>(8762), and doth not spare<02550>(8799); he poureth out<08210>(8799) my gall<04845> upon the ground<0776>.
16:14 將我破裂<06555>(8799){<06556>}又<05921>破裂<06440><06556>，如同勇士<09003><01368>向我<05921>直闖<07323>(8799)。
He breaketh<06555>(8799) me with breach<06556> upon<06440> breach<06556>, he runneth<07323>(8799) upon me like a giant<01368>.
16:15 我縫<08609>(8804)麻布<08242>在<05921>我皮膚<01539>上，把我的角<07161>放<05953>(8782)在塵土<09002><06083>中。
I have sewed<08609>(8804) sackcloth<08242> upon my skin<01539>, and defiled<05953>(8782) my horn<07161> in the dust<06083>.
16:16 我的臉<06440>因<04480>哭泣<01065>發紫<02560>(8777)，在<05921>我的眼皮<06079>上有死蔭<06757>。
My face<06440> is foul<02560>(8777) with weeping<01065>, and on my eyelids<06079> is the shadow of death<06757>;
16:17 我的手中<09002><03709>卻{<05921>}無<03808>強暴<02555>；我的祈禱<08605>也是清潔<02134>。
Not for any injustice<02555> in mine hands<03709>: also my prayer<08605> is pure<02134>.
16:18 地<0776>啊，不要<0408>遮蓋<03680>(8762)我的血<01818>！不<0408>要<01961>阻擋{<04725>}我的哀求<09001><02201>！
O earth<0776>, cover<03680>(8762) not thou my blood<01818>, and let my cry<02201> have no place<04725>.
16:19 {<01571>}現今<06258>，{<02009>}在天<09002><08064>有我的見證<05707>，在上<09002><04791>有我的中保<07717>。
Also now, behold, my witness<05707> is in heaven<08064>, and my record<07717> is on high<04791>. {on high: Heb. in the high places}
16:20 我的朋友<07453>譏誚我<03887>(8688)，我卻向<0413>上帝<0433>眼<05869>淚汪汪<01811>(8804)。
My friends<07453> scorn<03887>(8688) me: but mine eye<05869> poureth out<01811>(8804) tears unto God<0433>. {scorn me: Heb. are my scorners}
16:21 願人<09001><01397>得與<05973>上帝<0433>辯白<03198>(8686)，如同人<01121><0120>與朋友<09001><07453>辯白一樣；
O that one might plead<03198>(8686) for a man<01397> with God<0433>, as a man<0120> pleadeth for his neighbour<01121><07453>! {neighbour: or, friend}
16:22 因為<03588>再過<0857>(8799)幾<04557>年<08141>，我必走<01980>(8799)那往而不<03808>返<07725>(8799)之路<0734>。
