After<0310> this opened<06605>(8804) Job<0347> his mouth<06310>, and cursed<07043>(8762) his day<03117>.
3:2 {<0347>}{<06030>}{(8799)}說<0559>(8799)：
And Job<0347> spake<06030>(8799), and said<0559>(8799), {spake: Heb. answered}
3:3 願我<09002>生<03205>(8735)的那日<03117>和說<0559>(8804)懷了<02029>(8795)男胎<01397>的那夜<03915>都滅沒<06>(8799)。
Let the day<03117> perish<06>(8799) wherein I was born<03205>(8735), and the night<03915> in which it was said<0559>(8804), There is a man child<01397> conceived<02029>(8795).
3:4 願那<01931>日<03117>變為<01961>黑暗<02822>；願神<0433>不<0408>從上面<04480><04605>尋找<01875>(8799)它；願亮光<05105>不<0408>照<03313>(8686)於其上<05921>。
Let that day<03117> be darkness<02822>; let not God<0433> regard<01875>(8799) it from above<04605>, neither let the light<05105> shine<03313>(8686) upon it.
3:5 願黑暗<02822>和死蔭<06757>索取<01350>(8799)那日；願密雲<06053>停<07931>(8799)在其上<05921>；願日<03117>蝕<03650>恐嚇它<01204>(8762)。
Let darkness<02822> and the shadow of death<06757> stain<01350>(8799) it; let a cloud<06053> dwell<07931>(8799) upon it; let the blackness<03650> of the day<03117> terrify<01204>(8762) it. {stain: or, challenge} {let the...: or, let them terrify it, as those who have a bitter day}
3:6 願那<01931>夜<03915>被幽暗<0652>奪取<03947>(8799)，不<0408>在年<08141>中的日子<09002><03117>同樂<02302>(8799)，也不<0408>入<0935>(8799)月<03391>中的數目<09002><04557>。
As for that night<03915>, let darkness<0652> seize<03947>(8799) upon it; let it not be joined<02302>(8799) unto the days<03117> of the year<08141>, let it not come<0935>(8799) into the number<04557> of the months<03391>. {let it not be...: or, let it not rejoice among the days}
3:7 {<02009>}願<01931>那夜<03915>沒有生育<01565>，其間<09002>也沒<0408>有<0935>(8799)歡樂的聲音<07445>。
Lo, let that night<03915> be solitary<01565>, let no joyful voice<07445> come<0935>(8799) therein.
3:8 願那咒詛<0779>(8802)日子<03117>且能<06264>惹動<05782>(8788)鱷魚<03882>的咒詛<05344>(8799)那夜。
Let them curse<05344>(8799) it that curse<0779>(8802) the day<03117>, who are ready<06264> to raise up<05782>(8788) their mourning<03882>. {their...: or, leviathan}
3:9 願那夜黎明<05399>的星宿<03556>變為黑暗<02821>(8799)，盼<06960>(8762)亮<09001><0216>卻不亮<0369>，也不<0408>見<07200>(8799)早晨<07837>的光線（原文是眼皮<09002><06079>）；
Let the stars<03556> of the twilight<05399> thereof be dark<02821>(8799); let it look<06960>(8762) for light<0216>, but have none; neither let it see<07200>(8799) the dawning<06079> of the day<07837>: {the dawning...: Heb. the eyelids of the morning}
3:10 因<03588>沒有<03808>把懷我胎<0990>的門<01817>關閉<05462>(8804)，也沒有將患難<05999>對我的眼<04480><05869>隱藏<05641>(8686)。
Because it shut not up<05462>(8804) the doors<01817> of my mother's womb<0990>, nor hid<05641>(8686) sorrow<05999> from mine eyes<05869>.
3:11 我為何<09001><04100>不<03808>出母胎<04480><07358>而死<04191>(8799)？為何不出<03318>(8804)母腹<04480><0990>絕氣<01478>(8799)？
Why died<04191>(8799) I not from the womb<07358>? why did I not give up the ghost<01478>(8799) when I came out<03318>(8804) of the belly<0990>?
3:12 為何<04069>有膝<01290>接收我<06923>(8765)？為何<04100>有奶<07699>{<03588>}哺養我<03243>(8799)？
Why did the knees<01290> prevent<06923>(8765) me? or why the breasts<07699> that I should suck<03243>(8799)?
3:13 不然<03588><06258>，我就早已躺臥<07901>(8804)安<08252>(8799)睡<03462>(8804){<0227>}{<05117>}{(8004)}{<09001>}，
For now should I have lain still<07901>(8804) and been quiet<08252>(8799), I should have slept<03462>(8804): then had I been at rest<05117>(8799),
3:14 和<05973>地上<0776>為自己<09001>重造<01129>(8802)荒邱<02723>的君王<04428>、謀士<03289>(8802)，
With kings<04428> and counsellors<03289>(8802) of the earth<0776>, which built<01129>(8802) desolate places<02723> for themselves;
3:15 或<0176>與<05973>有<09001>金子<02091>、將銀子<03701>裝滿了<04390>(8764)房屋<01004>的王子<08269>一同<0227>安息<05117>(8799)；
Or with princes<08269> that had gold<02091>, who filled<04390>(8764) their houses<01004> with silver<03701>:
3:16 或<0176>像隱而未現<02934>(8803)、不到期而落的胎<09003><05309>，歸於<01961>無有<03808>，如同未<03808>見<07200>(8804)光<0216>的嬰孩<09003><05768>。
Or as an hidden<02934>(8803) untimely birth<05309> I had not been; as infants<05768> which never saw<07200>(8804) light<0216>.
3:17 在那裡<08033>惡人<07563>止息<02308>(8804)攪擾<07267>，{<08033>}困乏人<03019><03581>得享安息<05117>(8799)，
There the wicked<07563> cease<02308>(8804) from troubling<07267>; and there the weary<03019><03581> be at rest<05117>(8799). {weary: Heb. wearied in strength}
3:18 被囚的人<0615>同<03162>得安逸<07599>(8768)，不<03808>聽見<08085>(8804)督工<05065>(8802)的聲音<06963>。
There the prisoners<0615> rest<07599>(8768) together<03162>; they hear<08085>(8804) not the voice<06963> of the oppressor<05065>(8802).
3:19 大<01419>小<06996>都在<01931>那裡<08033>；奴僕<05650>脫離<02670>主人<04480><0113>的轄制。
The small<06996> and great<01419> are there; and the servant<05650> is free<02670> from his master<0113>.
3:20 受患難的人<09001><06001>為何<09001><04100>有光<0216>賜給<05414>(8799)他呢？心中<05315>愁苦<09001><04751>的人為何有生命<02416>賜給他呢？
Wherefore is light<0216> given<05414>(8799) to him that is in misery<06001>, and life<02416> unto the bitter<04751> in soul<05315>;
3:21 他們切望<02442>(8764)死<09001><04194>，卻不得<0369>死；求<02658>(8799)死，勝於求隱藏的珍寶<04480><04301>。
Which long<02442>(8764) for death<04194>, but it cometh not; and dig<02658>(8799) for it more than for hid treasures<04301>; {long: Heb. wait}
3:22 {<03588>}他們尋見<04672>(8799)墳墓<06913>就快樂<08056>，{<0413>}極<01524>其歡喜<07797>(8799)。
Which rejoice<08056> exceedingly<01524>, and are glad<07797>(8799), when they can find<04672>(8799) the grave<06913>?
3:23 人<09001><01397>的道路<01870>既然<0834>遮隱<05641>(8738)，神<0433>又把他<01157>四面圍困<05526>(8686)，為何有光賜給他呢？
Why is light given to a man<01397> whose way<01870> is hid<05641>(8738), and whom God<0433> hath hedged in<05526>(8686)?
3:24 我未曾<09001><06440>吃飯<03899>就<03588>發出<0935>(8799)歎息<0585>；我唉哼<07581>的聲音湧出<05413>(8799)如水<09003><04325>。
For my sighing<0585> cometh<0935>(8799) before<06440> I eat<03899>, and my roarings<07581> are poured out<05413>(8799) like the waters<04325>. {I eat: Heb. my meat}
3:25 因<03588>我所<06343>恐懼<06342>(8804)的臨到<0857>(8799)我身，我所<0834>懼怕<03025>(8804)的迎<0935>(8799)我<09001>而來。
For the thing which I greatly<06343> feared<06342>(8804) is come<0857>(8799) upon me, and that which I was afraid<03025>(8804) of is come<0935>(8799) unto me. {the thing...: Heb. I feared a fear, and it came upon me}
3:26 我不得<03808>安逸<07951>(8804)，不得<03808>平靜<08252>(8804)，也不得<03808>安息<05117>(8804)，卻有患難<07267>來到<0935>(8799)。
I was not in safety<07951>(8804), neither had I rest<08252>(8804), neither was I quiet<05117>(8804); yet trouble<07267> came<0935>(8799).
