5:1 {<01961>}第三<07992>日<09002><03117>，以斯帖<0635>穿上<03847>(8799)朝服<04438>，進王<04428>宮<01004>的內<06442>院<09002><02691>，對<05227>殿<01004>{<04428>}站立<05975>(8799)。王<04428>在殿<09002><01004>{<04438>}裡坐<03427>(8802)在<05921>寶<04438>座<03678>上，對著<05227>殿<01004>門<06607>。
Now it came to pass on the third<07992> day<03117>, that Esther<0635> put on<03847>(8799) her royal<04438> apparel , and stood<05975>(8799) in the inner<06442> court<02691> of the king's<04428> house<01004>, over against<05227> the king's<04428> house<01004>: and the king<04428> sat<03427>(8802) upon his royal<04438> throne<03678> in the royal<04438> house<01004>, over against<05227> the gate<06607> of the house<01004>.
5:2 {<01961>}王<04428>見<09003><07200>(8800){<0853>}王后<04436>以斯帖<0635>站<05975>(8802)在院<09002><02691>內，就{<09002>}{<05869>}施<05375>(8804)恩<02580>於她，{<04428>}向她<09001><0635>伸出<03447>(8686){<0853>}手中<09002><03027>的<0834>金<02091>杖<08275>；以斯帖<0635>便向前<07126>(8799)摸<05060>(8799)杖<08275>頭<09002><07218>。
And it was so, when the king<04428> saw<07200>(8800) Esther<0635> the queen<04436> standing<05975>(8802) in the court<02691>, that she obtained<05375>(8804) favour<02580> in his sight<05869>: and the king<04428> held out<03447>(8686) to Esther<0635> the golden<02091> sceptre<08275> that was in his hand<03027>. So Esther<0635> drew near<07126>(8799), and touched<05060>(8799) the top<07218> of the sceptre<08275>.
5:3 王<04428>對她<09001>說<0559>(8799)：「王后<04436>以斯帖<0635>啊，你<09001>要甚麼<04100>？你求<01246>甚麼<04100>，就是<05704>國<04438>的一半<02677>也必賜<05414>(8735)給你<09001>。」
Then said<0559>(8799) the king<04428> unto her, What wilt thou, queen<04436> Esther<0635>? and what is thy request<01246>? it shall be even given<05414>(8735) thee to the half<02677> of the kingdom<04438>.
5:4 以斯帖<0635>說<0559>(8799)：「{<05921>}王<04428>若<0518>以為美<02895>(8804)，就請王<04428>帶著哈曼<02001>今日<03117>赴<0935>(8799){<0413>}我所<0834>預備<06213>(8804){<09001>}的筵席<04960>。」
And Esther<0635> answered<0559>(8799), If it seem good<02895>(8804) unto the king<04428>, let the king<04428> and Haman<02001> come<0935>(8799) this day<03117> unto the banquet<04960> that I have prepared<06213>(8804) for him.
5:5 王<04428>說<0559>(8799)：「叫<0853>哈曼<02001>速速<04116>(8761)照<0853>以斯帖<0635>的話<01697>去行<09001><06213>(8800)」。於是王<04428>帶著哈曼<02001>赴<0935>(8799){<0413>}以斯帖<0635>所<0834>預備<06213>(8804)的筵席<04960>。
Then the king<04428> said<0559>(8799), Cause Haman<02001> to make haste<04116>(8761), that he may do<06213>(8800) as Esther<0635> hath said<01697>. So the king<04428> and Haman<02001> came<0935>(8799) to the banquet<04960> that Esther<0635> had prepared<06213>(8804).
5:6 在酒<03196>席筵<09002><04960>前，王<04428>又問以斯帖<09001><0635>說<0559>(8799)：「你要<07596>甚麼<04100>，我必賜<05414>(8735)給你<09001>；你求<01246>甚麼<04100>，就是<05704>國<04438>的一半<02677>也必為你成就<06213>(8735)。」
And the king<04428> said<0559>(8799) unto Esther<0635> at the banquet<04960> of wine<03196>, What is thy petition<07596>? and it shall be granted<05414>(8735) thee: and what is thy request<01246>? even to the half<02677> of the kingdom<04438> it shall be performed<06213>(8735).
5:7 以斯帖<0635>回答<06030>(8799)說<0559>(8799)：「我有所要<07596>，我有所求<01246>。
Then answered<06030>(8799) Esther<0635>, and said<0559>(8799), My petition<07596> and my request<01246> is ;
5:8 我若<0518>在王<04428>眼前<09002><05869>蒙<04672>(8804)恩<02580>，{<05921>}王<04428>若<0518>願意<02895>(8804)賜<09001><05414>(8800){<0853>}我所要的<07596>，准<09001><06213>(8800){<0853>}我所求的<01246>，就請王<04428>帶著哈曼<02001>再赴<0935>(8799){<0413>}我所<0834>要預備<06213>(8799){<09001>}的筵席<04960>。明日<04279>我必照王<04428>所問的<09003><01697>說明<06213>(8799)。」
If I have found<04672>(8804) favour<02580> in the sight<05869> of the king<04428>, and if it please<02895>(8804) the king<04428> to grant<05414>(8800) my petition<07596>, and to perform<06213>(8800) my request<01246>, let the king<04428> and Haman<02001> come<0935>(8799) to the banquet<04960> that I shall prepare<06213>(8799) for them, and I will do<06213>(8799) to morrow<04279> as the king<04428> hath said<01697>. {perform: Heb. do}
5:9 那<01931>日<09002><03117>哈曼<02001>心中<03820>快樂<02896>，歡歡喜喜地<08056>出來<03318>(8799)；但{<02001>}見<09003><07200>(8800){<0853>}末底改<04782>在朝<04428>門<09002><08179>不<03808>站起來<06965>(8804)，連身也不<03808>動<02111>(8804){<04480>}，{<02001>}就滿心<04390>(8735)惱怒<02534>{<05921>}末底改<04782>。
Then went<03318><00> Haman<02001> forth<03318>(8799) that day<03117> joyful<08056> and with a glad<02896> heart<03820>: but when Haman<02001> saw<07200>(8800) Mordecai<04782> in the king's<04428> gate<08179>, that he stood not up<06965>(8804), nor moved<02111>(8804) for him, he<02001> was full<04390>(8735) of indignation<02534> against Mordecai<04782>.
5:10 哈曼<02001>暫且忍耐<0662>(8691)回<0935>(8799){<0413>}家<01004>，叫人<07971>(8799)請<0853>他朋友<0157>(8802)和<0853>他妻子<0802>細利斯<02238>來<0935>(8686)。
Nevertheless Haman<02001> refrained<0662>(8691) himself: and when he came<0935>(8799) home<01004>, he sent<07971>(8799) and called<0935>(8686) for his friends<0157>(8802), and Zeresh<02238> his wife<0802>. {called...: Heb. caused to come}
5:11 哈曼<02001>將<0853>他富厚<06239>的榮耀<03519>、眾多的<07230>兒女<01121>，和<0853>王<04428>抬舉他<01431>(8765){<0834>}使他超<05375>(8765)乎<0853>{<0834>}首領<08269>臣僕<05650>{<04428>}之上<05921>，都<03605>述說<05608>(8762)給他們<09001>聽。
And Haman<02001> told<05608>(8762) them of the glory<03519> of his riches<06239>, and the multitude<07230> of his children<01121>, and all the things wherein the king<04428> had promoted<01431>(8765) him, and how he had advanced<05375>(8765) him above the princes<08269> and servants<05650> of the king<04428>.
5:12 哈曼<02001>又說<0559>(8799)：「{<0637>}王后<04436>以斯帖<0635>{<0834>}預備<06213>(8804)筵席<04960>，除了<03588><0518>我<0853>之外不許<03808>別人隨<05973>王<04428>赴<0935>(8689){<0413>}席。明日<09001><04279>王后<09001>又<01571>請<07121>(8803)我<0589>隨<05973>王<04428>赴席；
Haman<02001> said<0559>(8799) moreover, Yea, Esther<0635> the queen<04436> did let no man come in<0935>(8689) with the king<04428> unto the banquet<04960> that she had prepared<06213>(8804) but myself; and to morrow<04279> am I invited<07121>(8803) unto her also with the king<04428>.
5:13 {<09002>}{<03605>}{<06256>}只是<0834>我<0589>見<07200>(8802){<0853>}猶大人<03064>末底改<04782>坐<03427>(8802)在朝<04428>門<09002><08179>，雖有這<02088>一切<03605>榮耀，也與我<09001>無<0369>益<07737>(8802)。」
Yet all this availeth<07737>(8802) me nothing, so long as<06256> I see<07200>(8802) Mordecai<04782> the Jew<03064> sitting<03427>(8802) at the king's<04428> gate<08179>.
5:14 他的妻<0802>細利斯<02238>和他一切的<03605>朋友<0157>(8802)對他<09001>說<0559>(8799)：「不如立<06213>(8799)一個五丈<02572><0520>高<01364>的木架<06086>，明早<09002><01242>求<0559>(8798)王<09001><04428>將<0853>末底改<04782>掛<08518>(8799)在其上<05921>，然後你可以歡歡喜喜地<08056>隨<05973>王<04428>赴<0935>(8798){<0413>}席<04960>。」哈曼<02001>以<09001><06440>這話<01697>為美<03190>(8799)，就叫人做了<06213>(8799)木架<06086>。
Then said<0559>(8799) Zeresh<02238> his wife<0802> and all his friends<0157>(8802) unto him, Let a gallows<06086> be made<06213>(8799) of fifty<02572> cubits<0520> high<01364>, and to morrow<01242> speak<0559>(8798) thou unto the king<04428> that Mordecai<04782> may be hanged<08518>(8799) thereon: then go<0935>(8798) thou in merrily<08056> with the king<04428> unto the banquet<04960>. And the thing<01697> pleased<03190>(8799)<06440> Haman<02001>; and he caused<06213><00> the gallows<06086> to be made<06213>(8799). {gallows: Heb. tree}
