On that day<03117> they read<07121>(8738) in the book<05612> of Moses<04872> in the audience<0241> of the people<05971>; and therein was found<04672>(8738) written<03789>(8803), that the Ammonite<05984> and the Moabite<04125> should not come<0935>(8799) into the congregation<06951> of God<0430> for<05704> ever<05769>; {they...: Heb. there was read} {audience: Heb. ears}
2 因為<03588>他們沒有<03808>拿食物<09002><03899>和水<09002><04325>來迎接<06923>(8765){<0853>}以色列<03478>人<01121>，且雇了<07936>(8799){<05921>}{<0853>}巴蘭<01109>咒詛他們<09001><07043>(8763)，但我們的　神<0430>使那咒詛<07045>變<02015>(8799)為祝福<09001><01293>。
Because they met<06923>(8765) not the children<01121> of Israel<03478> with bread<03899> and with water<04325>, but hired<07936>(8799) Balaam<01109> against them, that he should curse<07043>(8763) them: howbeit our God<0430> turned<02015>(8799) the curse<07045> into a blessing<01293>.

Now it came to pass, when they had heard<08085>(8800) the law<08451>, that they separated<0914>(8686) from Israel<03478> all the mixed multitude<06154>.
4 先<09001><06440>是<04480><02088>蒙派管理<05414>(8803)我們　神<0430>殿<01004>中庫房<09002><03957>的祭司<03548>以利亞實<0475>與多比雅<09001><02900>結親<07138>，
And before<06440> this, Eliashib<0475> the priest<03548>, having the oversight<05414>(8803) of the chamber<03957> of the house<01004> of our God<0430>, was allied<07138> unto Tobiah<02900>: {having...: Heb. being set over}
5 便為他<09001>預備<06213>(8799)一間大<01419>屋子<03957>，就{<08033>}是<01961>從前<09001><06440>收存<05414>(8802){<0853>}素祭<04503>、乳香<03828>、器皿<03627>，和照命令<04687>供給利未人<03881>、歌唱的<07891>(8789)、守門的<07778>五穀<01715>、新酒<08492>，和油<03323>的十分之一<04643>，並歸祭司<03548>舉祭<08641>的屋子。
And he had prepared<06213>(8799) for him a great<01419> chamber<03957>, where aforetime<06440> they laid<05414>(8802) the meat offerings<04503>, the frankincense<03828>, and the vessels<03627>, and the tithes<04643> of the corn<01715>, the new wine<08492>, and the oil<03323>, which was commanded<04687> to be given to the Levites<03881>, and the singers<07891>(8789), and the porters<07778>; and the offerings<08641> of the priests<03548>. {which...: Heb. the commandment of the Levites}

But in all this time was not I at Jerusalem<03389>: for in the two<08147> and thirtieth<07970> year<08141> of Artaxerxes<0783> king<04428> of Babylon<0894> came<0935>(8804) I unto the king<04428>, and after<07093> certain days<03117> obtained I leave<07592>(8738) of the king<04428>: {after...: Heb. at the end of days} {obtained...: or, I earnestly requested}
7 我來到<0935>(8799)耶路撒冷<09001><03389>，就知道<0995>(8799)以利亞實<0475>{<06213>}{(8804)}為多比雅<09001><02900>在　神<0430>殿<01004>的院<09002><02691>內預備<09001><06213>(8800){<09001>}屋子<05393>的那件<0834>惡事<09002><07451>。
And I came<0935>(8799) to Jerusalem<03389>, and understood<0995>(8799) of the evil<07451> that Eliashib<0475> did<06213>(8804) for Tobiah<02900>, in preparing<06213>(8800) him a chamber<05393> in the courts<02691> of the house<01004> of God<0430>.
8 我<09001>甚<03966>惱怒<07489>(8799)，就把<0853>多比雅<02900>的一切<03605>家<01004>具<03627>從<04480>屋<03957>裡都拋<07993>(8686)出去<02351>，
And it grieved<03415>(8799) me sore<03966>: therefore I cast forth<07993>(8686) all the household<01004> stuff<03627> of Tobiah<02900> out of<02351> the chamber<03957>.
9 吩咐<0559>(8799)人潔淨<02891>(8762)這屋子<03957>，遂將　神<0430>殿<01004>的器皿<03627>和<0853>素祭<04503>、乳香<03828>又搬<07725>(8686)進去{<08033>}。
Then I commanded<0559>(8799), and they cleansed<02891>(8762) the chambers<03957>: and thither brought I again<07725>(8686) the vessels<03627> of the house<01004> of God<0430>, with the meat offering<04503> and the frankincense<03828>.
10 我見<03045>(8799){<03588>}利未人<03881>所當得的分<04521>無人<03808>供給<05414>(8738)他們，甚至供<06213>(8802)職<04399>的利未人<03881>與歌唱的<07891>(8789)俱各<0376>奔回<01272>(8799)自己的田地<09001><07704>去了。
And I perceived<03045>(8799) that the portions<04521> of the Levites<03881> had not been given<05414>(8738) them : for the Levites<03881> and the singers<07891>(8789), that did<06213>(8802) the work<04399>, were fled<01272>(8799) every one<0376> to his field<07704>.
11 我就斥責<07378>(8799){<0853>}官長<05461>說<0559>(8799)：「為何<04069>離棄<05800>(8738)　神<0430>的殿<01004>呢？」我便招聚<06908>(8762)利未人，使他們<05975>(8686)照舊供<05921>職<05977>。
Then contended<07378>(8799) I with the rulers<05461>, and said<0559>(8799), Why is the house<01004> of God<0430> forsaken<05800>(8738)? And I gathered them together<06908>(8762), and set<05975>(8686) them in their place<05977>. {place: Heb. standing}
12 猶大<03063>眾人<03605>就把五穀<01715>、新酒<08492>，和油<03323>的十分之一<04643>送<0935>(8689)入庫房<09001><0214>。
Then brought<0935>(8689) all Judah<03063> the tithe<04643> of the corn<01715> and the new wine<08492> and the oil<03323> unto the treasuries<0214>. {treasuries: or, storehouses}
13 我派祭司<03548>示利米雅<08018>、文士<05608>(8802)撒督<06659>，和<04480>利未人<03881>毘大雅<06305>作庫官<0686>(8799)管理<05921>庫房<0214>；副官<05921><03027>是哈難<02605>。哈難是撒刻<02139>的兒子<01121>；撒刻是瑪他尼<04983>的兒子<01121>。{<03588>}這些人都是<02803>(8738)忠信<0539>(8737)的，他們的職分<05921>是將所供給的分<09001><02505>(8800)給他們的弟兄<09001><0251>。
And I made treasurers<0686>(8799) over the treasuries<0214>, Shelemiah<08018> the priest<03548>, and Zadok<06659> the scribe<05608>(8802), and of the Levites<03881>, Pedaiah<06305>: and next to them<03027> was Hanan<02605> the son<01121> of Zaccur<02139>, the son<01121> of Mattaniah<04983>: for they were counted<02803>(8738) faithful<0539>(8737), and their office was to distribute<02505>(8800) unto their brethren<0251>. {treasuries: or, storehouses} {next...: Heb. at their hand} {their office...: Heb. it was upon them}
14 我的　神<0430>啊，求你因<05921>這事<02063>記念<02142>(8798)我<09001>，不要<0408>塗抹<04229>(8686)我為　神<0430>的殿<09002><01004>與其中的禮節<09002><04929>所<0834>行<06213>(8804)的善<02617>。
Remember<02142>(8798) me, O my God<0430>, concerning this, and wipe not out<04229>(8686) my good<02617> deeds that I have done<06213>(8804) for the house<01004> of my God<0430>, and for the offices<04929> thereof. {good...: Heb. kindnesses} {offices: or, observations}
15 那些<01992>日子<09002><03117>，我在猶大<09002><03063>見<07200>(8804)有人在安息日<09002><07676>醡酒（原文是踹<01869>(8802)酒醡<01660>），搬運<0935>(8688)禾捆<06194>馱<06006>(8802)在<05921>驢<02543>上，又<0637>把酒<03196>、葡萄<06025>、無花果<08384>，和各樣的<03605>擔子<04853>在安息<07676>日<09002><03117>擔<0935>(8688)入耶路撒冷<03389>，我就在他們賣<04376>(8800)食物<06718>的那日<09002><03117>警戒<05749>(8686)他們。
In those days<03117> saw<07200>(8804) I in Judah<03063> some treading<01869>(8802) wine presses<01660> on the sabbath<07676>, and bringing in<0935>(8688) sheaves<06194>, and lading<06006>(8802) asses<02543>; as also wine<03196>, grapes<06025>, and figs<08384>, and all manner of burdens<04853>, which they brought<0935>(8688) into Jerusalem<03389> on the sabbath<07676> day<03117>: and I testified<05749>(8686) against them in the day<03117> wherein they sold<04376>(8800) victuals<06718>.
16 又有泰爾人<06876>住<03427>(8804)在耶路撒冷<09002>；他們把魚<01709>(8675)<01709>和各樣<03605>貨物<04377>運進來<0935>(8688)，在安息日<09002><07676>賣<04376>(8802)給猶大<03063>人<09001><01121>{<09002>}{<03389>}。
There dwelt<03427>(8804) men of Tyre<06876> also therein, which brought<0935>(8688) fish<01709>(8675)<01709>, and all manner of ware<04377>, and sold<04376>(8802) on the sabbath<07676> unto the children<01121> of Judah<03063>, and in Jerusalem<03389>.
17 我就斥責<07378>(8799){<0853>}猶大<03063>的貴冑<02715>說<0559>(8799){<09001>}：「你們<0859>怎麼<04100>行<06213>(8802)這<02088>惡<07451>事<01697>{<0834>}犯<02490>(8764)了{<0853>}安息<07676>日<03117>呢？
Then I contended<07378>(8799) with the nobles<02715> of Judah<03063>, and said<0559>(8799) unto them, What evil<07451> thing<01697> is this that ye do<06213>(8802), and profane<02490>(8764) the sabbath<07676> day<03117>?
18 從前你們列祖<01>豈不是<03808>這樣<03541>行<06213>(8804)，以致我們　神<0430>使<0853>一切<03605>災禍<07451>{<02063>}臨<0935>(8686)到我們<05921>和<05921>這<02063>城<05892>嗎？現在你們<0859>還犯<09001><02490>(8763){<0853>}安息日<07676>，使忿怒<02740>越發<03254>(8688)臨<0935>(8686)到<05921>以色列<03478>！」
Did<06213>(8804) not your fathers<01> thus, and did<0935><00> not our God<0430> bring<0935>(8686) all this evil<07451> upon us, and upon this city<05892>? yet ye bring<0935>(8686) more<03254>(8688) wrath<02740> upon Israel<03478> by profaning<02490>(8763) the sabbath<07676>.
19 在安息日<07676>的前<09001><06440>一日，{<01961>}{<09003>}{<0834>}耶路撒冷<03389>城門<08179>有黑影<06751>(8804)的時候，我就吩咐<0559>(8799)人將門<01817>關鎖<05462>(8735)，{<0559>}{(8799)}{<0834>}不過<05704><0310>安息日<07676>不准<03808>開放<06605>(8799)。我又派<05975>(8689)我幾個僕人<04480><05288>管理<05921>城門<08179>，免得<03808>有人在安息<07676>日<09002><03117>擔甚麼擔子<04853>進<0935>(8799)城。
And it came to pass, that when the gates<08179> of Jerusalem<03389> began to be dark<06751>(8804) before<06440> the sabbath<07676>, I commanded<0559>(8799) that the gates<01817> should be shut<05462>(8735), and charged<0559>(8799) that they should not be opened<06605>(8799) till after<0310> the sabbath<07676>: and some of my servants<05288> set<05975>(8689) I at the gates<08179>, that there should no burden<04853> be brought in<0935>(8799) on the sabbath<07676> day<03117>.
20 於是商人<07402>(8802)和販賣<04376>(8802)各樣<03605>貨物<04465>的，一<06471>兩次<08147>住宿<03885>(8799)在耶路撒冷<09001><03389>城外<04480><02351>。
So the merchants<07402>(8802) and sellers<04376>(8802) of all kind of ware<04465> lodged<03885>(8799) without<02351> Jerusalem<03389> once<06471> or twice<08147>.
21 我就警戒<05749>(8686)他們<09002>說<0559>(8799){<0413>}：「你們<0859>為何<04069>在城<02346>外<05048>住宿<03885>(8801)呢？若<0518>再這樣<08138>(8799)，我必下<07971>(8799)手<03027>拿辦你們<09002>。」從<04480>此<01931><06256>以後，他們在安息日<09002><07676>不<03808>再來了<0935>(8804)。
Then I testified<05749>(8686) against them, and said<0559>(8799) unto them, Why lodge<03885>(8801) ye about<05048> the wall<02346>? if ye do so again<08138>(8799), I will lay<07971>(8799) hands<03027> on you. From that time<06256> forth came<0935>(8804) they no more on the sabbath<07676>. {about: Heb. before}
22 我吩咐<0559>(8799)利未人<09001><03881>{<0834>}{<01961>}潔淨自己<02891>(8693)，來<0935>(8802)守<08104>(8802)城門<08179>，使<0853>安息<07676>日<03117>為聖<09001><06942>(8763)。我的　神<0430>啊，{<01571>}求你因這事<02063>記念<02142>(8798)我<09001>，照你的大<09003><07230>慈愛<02617>憐恤<02347>(8798)我<05921>。
And I commanded<0559>(8799) the Levites<03881> that they should cleanse<02891>(8693) themselves, and that they should come<0935>(8802) and keep<08104>(8802) the gates<08179>, to sanctify<06942>(8763) the sabbath<07676> day<03117>. Remember<02142>(8798) me, O my God<0430>, concerning this also, and spare<02347>(8798) me according to the greatness<07230> of thy mercy<02617>. {greatness: or, multitude}
23 那些<01992>日子<09002><03117>，我也<01571>見<07200>(8804){<0853>}猶大人<03064>娶<03427>(8689)了亞實突<0796>、亞捫<05984>、摩押<04125>的女子為妻<0802>。
In those days<03117> also saw<07200>(8804) I Jews<03064> that had married<03427>(8689) wives<0802> of Ashdod<0796>, of Ammon<05984>, and of Moab<04125>: {had...: Heb. had made to dwell with them}
24 他們的兒女<01121>說話<01696>(8764)，一半<02677>是亞實突<0797>的話，不<0369>會<05234>(8688)說<09001><01696>(8763)猶大的話<03066>，所說的是照著各<05971>族<05971>的方言<09003><03956>。
And their children<01121> spake<01696>(8764) half<02677> in the speech of Ashdod<0797>, and could<05234>(8688) not speak<01696>(8763) in the Jews' language<03066>, but according to the language<03956> of each<05971> people<05971>. {could...: Heb. they discerned not to speak} {of each...: Heb. of people and people}
25 我就斥責<07378>(8799)他們<05973>，咒詛他們<07043>(8762)，打<05221>(8686)了他們幾個<04480><01992>人<0582>，拔下他們的頭髮<04803>(8799)，叫他們指著　神<09002><0430>起誓<07650>(8686)，必不<0518>將<05414>(8799)自己的女兒<01323>嫁給外邦人的兒子<09001><01121>，也不<0518>為自己<09001>和兒子<09001><01121>娶<05375>(8799)他們的女兒<04480><01323>。
And I contended<07378>(8799) with them, and cursed<07043>(8762) them, and smote<05221>(8686) certain<0582> of them, and plucked off their hair<04803>(8799), and made them swear<07650>(8686) by God<0430>, saying , Ye shall not give<05414>(8799) your daughters<01323> unto their sons<01121>, nor take<05375>(8799) their daughters<01323> unto your sons<01121>, or for yourselves. {cursed: or, reviled}
26 我又說：「以色列<03478>王<04428>所羅門<08010>不是<03808>在<05921>這樣的事<0428>上犯罪<02398>(8804)嗎？在多<07227>國<09002><01471>中並沒<03808>有<01961>一王<04428>像他<03644>，且<01961>蒙他　神<09001><0430>所愛<0157>(8803)，　神<0430>立他<05414>(8799)作<05921>以色列<03478>全<03605>國的王<04428>；然而連他<0853>也<01571>被外邦<05237>女子<0802>引誘犯罪<02398>(8689)。
Did not Solomon<08010> king<04428> of Israel<03478> sin<02398>(8804) by these things? yet among many<07227> nations<01471> was there no king<04428> like him, who was beloved<0157>(8803) of his God<0430>, and God<0430> made<05414>(8799) him king<04428> over all Israel<03478>: nevertheless even him<01571> did outlandish<05237> women<0802> cause to sin<02398>(8689).
27 如此，我豈聽<08085>(8799)你們<09001>行<09001><06213>(8800){<0853>}{<03605>}這<02063>大<01419>惡<07451>，娶<09001><03427>(8687)外邦<05237>女子<0802>干犯<09001><04603>(8800)我們的　神<09002><0430>呢？」
Shall we then hearken<08085>(8799) unto you to do<06213>(8800) all this great<01419> evil<07451>, to transgress<04603>(8800) against our God<0430> in marrying<03427>(8687) strange<05237> wives<0802>?
28 大<01419>祭司<03548>以利亞實<0475>的孫子<01121>、耶何耶大<03111>的一個兒子<04480><01121>是和倫人<02772>參巴拉<09001><05571>的女婿<02860>，我就從我這裡<04480><05921>把他趕出去<01272>(8686)。
And one of the sons<01121> of Joiada<03111>, the son<01121> of Eliashib<0475> the high<01419> priest<03548>, was son in law<02860> to Sanballat<05571> the Horonite<02772>: therefore I chased<01272>(8686) him from me.
29 我的　神<0430>啊，求你記念<02142>(8798)他們<09001>的罪；因為<05921>他們玷污<01352>了祭司的職任<03550>，違背你與祭司<03550>利未人<03881>所立的約<01285>。
Remember<02142>(8798) them, O my God<0430>, because they have defiled<01352> the priesthood<03550>, and the covenant<01285> of the priesthood<03550>, and of the Levites<03881>. {because...: Heb. for the defilings}
30 這樣，我潔淨他們<02891>(8765)，使他們離絕一切<04480><03605>外邦人<05236>，派定<05975>(8686)祭司<09001><03548>和利未人<09001><03881>的班次<04931>，使他們各<0376>盡其職<09002><04399>。
Thus cleansed<02891>(8765) I them from all strangers<05236>, and appointed<05975>(8686) the wards<04931> of the priests<03548> and the Levites<03881>, every one<0376> in his business<04399>;
31 我又派百姓按定<02163>(8794)期<09002><06256>獻<09001><07133>柴<06086>和初熟的土產<09001><01061>。我的　神<0430>啊，求你記念<02142>(8798)我<09001>，施恩<09001><02896>與我。
And for the wood<06086> offering<07133>, at times<06256> appointed<02163>(8794), and for the firstfruits<01061>. Remember<02142>(8798) me, O my God<0430>, for good<02896>.
