2:1 {<01961>}亞達薛西<09001><0783>王<04428>二十<06242>年<08141>尼散<05212>月<09002><02320>，在王面前<09001><06440>擺酒<03196>，我拿起<05375>(8799){<0853>}酒<03196>來奉給<05414>(8799)王<09001><04428>。我素來在王面前<09001><06440>沒<03808>有<01961>愁容<07451>。
And it came to pass in the month<02320> Nisan<05212>, in the twentieth<06242> year<08141> of Artaxerxes<0783> the king<04428>, that wine<03196> was before<06440> him: and I took up<05375>(8799) the wine<03196>, and gave<05414>(8799) it unto the king<04428>. Now I had not been beforetime sad<07451> in his presence<06440>.
2:2 王<04428>對我<09001>說<0559>(8799)：「你<0859>既沒有<0369>病<02470>(8802)，為甚麼<04069>面<06440>帶愁容<07451>呢？這<02088>不是<0369>別的，必是<03588><0518>你心中<03820>愁煩<07455>。」於是我甚<03966>{<07235>}{(8687)}懼怕<03372>(8799)。
Wherefore the king<04428> said<0559>(8799) unto me, Why is thy countenance<06440> sad<07451>, seeing thou art not sick<02470>(8802)? this is nothing else but sorrow<07455> of heart<03820>. Then I was very<03966> sore<07235>(8687) afraid<03372>(8799),
2:3 我對王<09001><04428>說<0559>(8799)：「願王<04428>萬歲<02421>(8799)<09001><05769>！我列祖<01>墳墓<06913>所<0834>在的{<01004>}那城<05892>荒涼<02720>，城門<08179>被火<09002><0784>焚燒<0398>(8795)，我豈能<04069>面<06440>無<03808>愁容<07489>(8799)嗎？」
And said<0559>(8799) unto the king<04428>, Let the king<04428> live<02421>(8799) for ever<05769>: why should not my countenance<06440> be sad<03415>(8799), when the city<05892>, the place<01004> of my fathers<01>' sepulchres<06913>, lieth waste<02720>, and the gates<08179> thereof are consumed<0398>(8795) with fire<0784>?
2:4 王<04428>問我<09001>說<0559>(8799)：「你<0859>要求<01245>(8764){<05921>}甚麼<04100><02088>？」於是我默禱<06419>(8691){<0413>}天上<08064>的神<0430>。
Then the king<04428> said<0559>(8799) unto me, For what dost thou make request<01245>(8764)? So I prayed<06419>(8691) to the God<0430> of heaven<08064>.
2:5 我對王<09001><04428>說<0559>(8799)：「僕人<05650>若<0518>在王眼前<09001><06440>蒙恩<03190>(8799)，王<04428>若<0518>{<05921>}喜歡<02895>(8804)，{<0834>}求王差遣我<07971>(8799)往<0413>猶大<03063>，到<0413>我列祖<01>墳墓<06913>所在的那城<05892>去，我好重新建造<01129>(8799)。」
And I said<0559>(8799) unto the king<04428>, If it please<02895>(8804) the king<04428>, and if thy servant<05650> have found favour<03190>(8799) in thy sight<06440>, that thou wouldest send<07971>(8799) me unto Judah<03063>, unto the city<05892> of my fathers<01>' sepulchres<06913>, that I may build<01129>(8799) it.
2:6 那時王后<07694>坐<03427>(8802)在王的旁邊<0681>。王<04428>問我<09001>說<0559>(8799)：「{<01961>}你去<04109>要<05704>多少日子<04970>？幾時<04970>回來<07725>(8799)？」我就定了<05414>(8799){<09001>}日期<02165>。於是王<04428>喜歡<03190>(8799)<09001><06440>差遣我<07971>(8799)去。
And the king<04428> said<0559>(8799) unto me, (the queen<07694> also sitting<03427>(8802) by him<0681>,) For how long shall thy journey<04109> be? and when wilt thou return<07725>(8799)? So it pleased<03190>(8799)<06440> the king<04428> to send<07971>(8799) me; and I set<05414>(8799) him a time<02165>. {queen: Heb. wife}
2:7 我又對王<09001><04428>說<0559>(8799)：「{<05921>}王<04428>若<0518>喜歡<02895>(8804)，求王賜<05414>(8799)我<09001>詔書<0107>，通知<05921>大河<05104>西<05676>的省長<06346>{<0834>}准我經過<05674>(8686)，{<05704>}{<0834>}直到<0935>(8799){<0413>}猶大<03063>；
Moreover I said<0559>(8799) unto the king<04428>, If it please<02895>(8804) the king<04428>, let letters<0107> be given<05414>(8799) me to the governors<06346> beyond<05676> the river<05104>, that they may convey me over<05674>(8686) till I come<0935>(8799) into Judah<03063>;
2:8 又賜詔書<0107>，通知<0413>管理<08104>(8802)王<09001><04428>園林<06508>的<0834>亞薩<0623>，{<0834>}使他給<05414>(8799)我<09001>木料<06086>，做<0853>屬殿<09001><01004>營樓<01002>之<0834>門<08179>的橫樑<09001><07136>(8763)和城<05892>牆<09001><02346>，與我自己房屋<09001><01004>{<0834>}{<0935>}{(8799)}{<0413>}使用的。」王<04428>就允准<05414>(8799)我<09001>，因我神<0430>施恩<02896>的手<09003><03027>幫助我<05921>。
And a letter<0107> unto Asaph<0623> the keeper<08104>(8802) of the king's<04428> forest<06508>, that he may give<05414>(8799) me timber<06086> to make beams<07136>(8763) for the gates<08179> of the palace<01002> which appertained to the house<01004>, and for the wall<02346> of the city<05892>, and for the house<01004> that I shall enter into<0935>(8799). And the king<04428> granted<05414>(8799) me, according to the good<02896> hand<03027> of my God<0430> upon me.
2:9 王<04428>派了<07971>(8799)軍<08269>長<02428>和馬兵<06571>護送我<05973>。我到了<0935>(8799){<0413>}河<05104>西<05676>的省長<06346>那裡，將<0853>王<04428>的詔書<0107>交<05414>(8799)給他們<09001>。
Then I came<0935>(8799) to the governors<06346> beyond<05676> the river<05104>, and gave<05414>(8799) them the king's<04428> letters<0107>. Now the king<04428> had sent<07971>(8799) captains<08269> of the army<02428> and horsemen<06571> with me.
2:10 和倫人<02772>參巴拉<05571>，並為奴的<05650>亞捫人<05984>多比雅<02900>，聽見<08085>(8799)有<0834>人<0120>來<0935>(8804)為以色列<03478>人<09001><01121>求<09001><01245>(8763)好處<02896>，就甚<07451><01419>惱怒<07489>(8799){<09001>}。
When Sanballat<05571> the Horonite<02772>, and Tobiah<02900> the servant<05650>, the Ammonite<05984>, heard<08085>(8799) of it , it grieved<03415>(8799) them exceedingly<07451><01419> that there was come<0935>(8804) a man<0120> to seek<01245>(8763) the welfare<02896> of the children<01121> of Israel<03478>.
2:11 我到了<0935>(8799){<0413>}耶路撒冷<03389>，在那裡<08033>住了<01961>三<07969>日<03117>。
So I came<0935>(8799) to Jerusalem<03389>, and was there three<07969> days<03117>.
2:12 我<0589>夜間<03915>起來<06965>(8799)，有幾個<04592>人<0582>也一同<05973>起來；但神<0430>使<05414>(8802){<0413>}我心<03820>裡要為耶路撒冷<09001><03389>做<09001><06213>(8800)甚麼事<04100>，我並沒有<03808>告訴<05046>(8689)人<09001><0120>。除了<03588><0518>我<0589>騎<07392>(8802){<09002>}的<0834>牲口<0929>以外，也沒有<0369>別的牲口<0929>在我<05973>那裡。
And I arose<06965>(8799) in the night<03915>, I and some<04592> few<04592> men<0582> with me; neither told<05046>(8689) I any man<0120> what my God<0430> had put<05414>(8802) in my heart<03820> to do<06213>(8800) at Jerusalem<03389>: neither was there any beast<0929> with me, save the beast<0929> that I rode upon<07392>(8802).
2:13 當夜<03915>我出了<03318>(8799)谷<01516>門<09002><08179>，往<0413><06440>野狗<08577>井<05869>(8677)<05886>去（野狗：或譯龍），到了<0413>糞廠<0830>門<08179>，{<01961>}察看<07663>(8802)(8675)<07665>(8799)耶路撒冷<03389>的城牆<09002><02346>，見城牆<0834>拆毀<06555>(8803)，城門<08179>被火<09002><0784>焚燒<0398>(8795)。
And I went out<03318>(8799) by night<03915> by the gate<08179> of the valley<01516>, even before<06440> the dragon<08577> well<05869>(8677)<05886>, and to the dung<0830> port<08179>, and viewed<07663>(8802)(8675)<07665>(8799) the walls<02346> of Jerusalem<03389>, which were broken down<06555>(8803), and the gates<08179> thereof were consumed<0398>(8795) with fire<0784>.
2:14 我又往前<05674>(8799)，到了<0413>泉<05869>門<08179>和<0413>王<04428>池<01295>，但所騎的牲口<09001><0929>沒有<0369>地方<04725>過去<09001><05674>(8800){<08478>}。
Then I went on<05674>(8799) to the gate<08179> of the fountain<05869>, and to the king's<04428> pool<01295>: but there was no place<04725> for the beast<0929> that was under me to pass<05674>(8800).
2:15 於是夜間<03915>沿溪<09002><05158>而<01961>上<05927>(8802)，{<01961>}察看<07663>(8802)(8675)<07665>(8799)城牆<09002><02346>，又轉身<07725>(8799)進入<0935>(8799)谷<01516>門<09002><08179>，就回來了<07725>(8799)。
Then went I up<05927>(8802) in the night<03915> by the brook<05158>, and viewed<07663>(8802)(8675)<07665>(8799) the wall<02346>, and turned back<07725>(8799), and entered<0935>(8799) by the gate<08179> of the valley<01516>, and so returned<07725>(8799).
2:16 我往哪裡<0575>去<01980>(8804)，我<0589>做<06213>(8802)甚麼事<04100>，官長<05461>都不<03808>知道<03045>(8804)。我還<05704><03651>沒有<03808>告訴<05046>(8689)猶大平民<09001><03064>、祭司<09001><03548>、貴冑<09001><02715>、官長<09001><05461>，和其餘<09001><03499>做<06213>(8802)工<04399>的人。
And the rulers<05461> knew<03045>(8804) not whither I went<01980>(8804), or what I did<06213>(8802); neither had I as yet<03651> told<05046>(8689) it to the Jews<03064>, nor to the priests<03548>, nor to the nobles<02715>, nor to the rulers<05461>, nor to the rest<03499> that did<06213>(8802) the work<04399>.
2:17 以後，我對他們<0413>說<0559>(8799)：「我們<0587>所<0834>遭的難<07451>{<09002>}，耶路撒冷<03389>怎樣<0834>荒涼<02720>，城門<08179>被火<09002><0784>焚燒<03341>(8738)，你們<0859>都看見<07200>(8802)了。來吧<03212>(8798)，我們重建<01129>(8799){<0853>}耶路撒冷<03389>的城牆<02346>，免得<03808><01961>再<05750>受凌辱<02781>！」
Then said<0559>(8799) I unto them, Ye see<07200>(8802) the distress<07451> that we are in, how Jerusalem<03389> lieth waste<02720>, and the gates<08179> thereof are burned<03341>(8738) with fire<0784>: come<03212>(8798), and let us build up<01129>(8799) the wall<02346> of Jerusalem<03389>, that we be no more a reproach<02781>.
2:18 我告訴<05046>(8686)他們<09001>{<0853>}我神<0430>施恩<02896>的手<03027>怎樣<0834><01931>幫助我<05921>，並<0637>王<04428>對我<09001>所<0834>說<0559>(8804)的話<01697>。他們就說<0559>(8799)：「我們起來<06965>(8799)建造<01129>(8804)吧！」於是他們<03027>奮勇<02388>(8762)做這善工<09001><02896>。
Then I told<05046>(8686) them of the hand<03027> of my God<0430> which was good<02896> upon me; as also the king's<04428> words<01697> that he had spoken<0559>(8804) unto me. And they said<0559>(8799), Let us rise up<06965>(8799) and build<01129>(8804). So they strengthened<02388>(8762) their hands<03027> for this good<02896> work .
2:19 但和倫人<02772>參巴拉<05571>，並為奴的<05650>亞捫人<05984>多比雅<02900>和阿拉伯人<06163>基善<01654>聽見<08085>(8799)就嗤笑<03932>(8686)我們<09001>，藐視<0959>(8799)我們<05921>，說<0559>(8799)：「你們<0859>做<06213>(8802)甚麼<04100>{<01697>}{<02088>}{<0834>}呢？{<0859>}要背叛<04775>(8802){<05921>}王<04428>嗎？」
But when Sanballat<05571> the Horonite<02772>, and Tobiah<02900> the servant<05650>, the Ammonite<05984>, and Geshem<01654> the Arabian<06163>, heard<08085>(8799) it , they laughed us to scorn<03932>(8686), and despised<0959>(8799) us, and said<0559>(8799), What is this thing<01697> that ye do<06213>(8802)? will ye rebel<04775>(8802) against the king<04428>?
2:20 我回<07725>(8686)答<01697>他們<0853>說<0559>(8799){<09001>}：「天上<08064>的神<0430>必<01931>使我們<09001>亨通<06743>(8686)。我們<0587>作他僕人<05650>的，要起來<06965>(8799)建造<01129>(8804)；你們<09001>卻在耶路撒冷<09002><03389>無<0369>分<02506>、無權<06666>、無紀念<02146>。」
Then answered<07725>(8686)<01697> I them, and said<0559>(8799) unto them, The God<0430> of heaven<08064>, he will prosper<06743>(8686) us; therefore we his servants<05650> will arise<06965>(8799) and build<01129>(8804): but ye have no portion<02506>, nor right<06666>, nor memorial<02146>, in Jerusalem<03389>.
