5:1 那時，先知<05029>哈該<02292>和易多<05714>的孫子<01247>{<05029>}撒迦利亞<02148>奉以色列<03479>神<0426>的名<09002><08036>向<05922>猶大<09002><03061>和耶路撒冷<09002><03390>的<01768>猶大人<03062>{<05922>}說勸勉的話<05013>(8724)。
Then the prophets<05029>, Haggai<02292> the prophet<05029>, and Zechariah<02148> the son<01247> of Iddo<05714>, prophesied<05013>(8724) unto<05922> the Jews<03062> that were in Judah<03061> and Jerusalem<03390> in the name<08036> of the God<0426> of Israel<03479>, even unto<05922> them.
5:2 於是<09002><0116>撒拉鐵<07598>的兒子<01247>所羅巴伯<02217>和約薩達<03136>的兒子<01247>耶書亞<03443>都起來<06966>(8754)動手<08271>(8745)建造<09001><01124>(8749)耶路撒冷<09002><03390>{<01768>}神<0426>的殿<01005>，有神<0426>的<01768>先知<05029>在那裡<05974>幫助<05583>(8683)他們<09001>。
Then<0116> rose up<06966>(8754) Zerubbabel<02217> the son<01247> of Shealtiel<07598>, and Jeshua<03443> the son<01247> of Jozadak<03136>, and began<08271>(8745) to build<01124>(8749) the house<01005> of God<0426> which is at Jerusalem<03390>: and with them<05974> were the prophets<05029> of God<0426> helping<05583>(8683) them.
5:3 當<09002>時<02166>河<05103>西<05675>的總督<06347>達乃<08674>和示他‧波斯乃<08370>，並他們的同黨<03675>來<0858>(8754){<05922>}問說<0560>(8750){<03652>}{<09001>}：「誰<04479>降<07761>(8754)旨<02942>讓你們<09001>建造<09001><01124>(8749)這<01836>殿<01005>，修成<09001><03635>(8805)這<01836>牆<0846>呢？」
At the same time<02166> came<0858>(8754) to them Tatnai(8674), governor<06347> on this side<05675> the river<05103>, and Shetharboznai<08370>, and their companions<03675>, and said<0560>(8750) thus<03652> unto them<05922>, Who<04479> hath commanded<07761>(8754)<02942> you to build<01124>(8749) this<01836> house<01005>, and to make up<03635>(8805) this<01836> wall<0846>?
5:4 {<0116>}我們便告訴<0560>(8754){<03660>}他們<09001>建造<01124>(8750){<01768>}這<01836>殿<01147>的人<01400>叫甚麼<04479>{<0581>}名字<08036>。
Then<0116> said<0560>(8754) we unto them after this manner<03660>, What<04479> are<0581> the names<08036> of the men<01400> that make<01124>(8750) this<01836> building<01147>? {make: Chaldee, build}
5:5 神<0426>的眼目<05870>看顧<01934>(8754){<05922>}猶大<03062>的長老<07868>(8750)，以致總督等沒有<03809>叫<0989>他們<01994>停工<0989>(8754)，直到<05705>這事<02941>奏告<01946>(8748)大利烏<09001><01868>，{<0116>}得著他的回<08421>(8681)諭<05407>{<05922>}{<01836>}。
But the eye<05870> of their God<0426> was<01934>(8754) upon<05922> the elders<07868>(8750) of the Jews<03062>, that they could not<03809> cause<0989><00> them<01994> to cease<0989>(8754), till<05705> the matter<02941> came<01946>(8748) to Darius<01868>: and then<0116> they returned answer<08421>(8681) by letter<05407> concerning<05922> this<01836> matter .
5:6 河<05103>西<05675>的總督<06347>達乃<08674>和示他‧波斯乃<08370>，並他們的同黨<03675>，就是<01768>住河<05103>西<09002><05675>的亞法薩迦人<0671>，{<01768>}上<07972>(8754)本<06573><0104>奏告<05922>大利烏<01868>王<04430>。
The copy<06573> of the letter<0104> that Tatnai(8674), governor<06347> on this side<05675> the river<05103>, and Shetharboznai<08370>, and his companions<03675> the Apharsachites<0671>, which were on this side<05675> the river<05103>, sent<07972>(8754) unto<05922> Darius<01868> the king<04430>:
5:7 {<06600>}{<07972>}{(8754)}{<05922>}本上<09002><01459>寫著說<03790>(8752){<09003>}{<01836>}：「願大利烏<09001><01868>王<04430>諸事<03606>平安<08001>。
They sent<07972>(8754) a letter<06600> unto<05922> him, wherein<01459> was written<03790>(8752) thus<01836>; Unto Darius<01868> the king<04430>, all<03606> peace<08001>. {wherein: Chaldee, in the midst whereof}
5:8 王<09001><04430>該<01934>(8748)知道<03046>(8752)，{<01768>}我們往<0236>(8754)猶大<09001><03061>省<04083>去，到了至大<07229>神<0426>的殿<09001><01005>，這殿<01932>是用大<01560>石<069>建造<01124>(8732)的。樑木<0636>插入<07761>(8727)牆內<09002><03797>，{<01791>}工作<05673>甚速<05648>(8727)<0629>，他們手下<09002><03028>亨通<06744>(8683)。
Be it known<01934>(8748)<03046>(8752) unto the king<04430>, that we went<0236>(8754) into the province<04083> of Judea<03061>, to the house<01005> of the great<07229> God<0426>, which is builded<01124>(8732) with great<01560> stones<069>, and timber<0636> is laid<07761>(8727) in the walls<03797>, and this<01791> work<05673> goeth<05648>(8727) fast<0629> on, and prospereth<06744>(8683) in their hands<03028>. {great...: Chaldee, stones of rolling}
5:9 {<0116>}我們就問<07593>(8754)那些<0479>長老<09001><07868>(8750)說<0560>(8754){<09001>}{<03660>}：『誰<04479>降<07761>(8754)旨<02942>讓你們<09001>建造<09001><01124>(8749)這<01836>殿<01005>，修成<09001><03635>(8805)這<01836>牆<0846>呢？』
Then<0116> asked<07593>(8754) we those<0479> elders<07868>(8750), and said<0560>(8754) unto them thus<03660>, Who<04479> commanded<07761>(8754)<02942> you to build<01124>(8749) this<01836> house<01005>, and to make up<03635>(8805) these<01836> walls<0846>?
5:10 又<0638>問<07593>(8754)他們的<09001>名字<08036>，要<01768>記錄<03790>(8748){<01768>}他們首領<09002><07217>{<01400>}的名字<08036>，奏告<09001><03046>(8682)於王。
We asked<07593>(8754) their names<08036> also<0638>, to certify<03046>(8682) thee, that we might write<03790>(8748) the names<08036> of the men<01400> that were the chief<07217> of them.
5:11 他們回答<08421>(8684)<06600>說<09001><0560>(8749){<03660>}：『我們<0586>是<01994>天<08065>地<0772>之<01768>神<0426>的僕人<05649>，重建<01124>(8750){<01934>}{(8754)}前多年<01836><07690><08140><06928>所<01768>建造<01124>(8752)的殿<01005>，就是以色列<09001><03479>的一位大<07229>君王<04430>建造<01124>(8754)修成<03635>(8806)的。
And thus<03660> they returned<08421>(8684) us answer<06600>, saying<0560>(8749), We<0586> are<01994> the servants<05649> of the God<0426> of heaven<08065> and earth<0772>, and build<01124>(8750) the house<01005> that was<01934>(8754) builded<01124>(8752) these<01836> many<07690> years<08140> ago<06928>, which a great<07229> king<04430> of Israel<03479> builded<01124>(8754) and set up<03635>(8806).
5:12 只因<03861>{<04481>}{<01768>}我們列祖<02>惹天上<08065>的神<09001><0426>發怒<07265>(8684)，神<0430>把他們<01994>交在<03052>(8754)迦勒底人<03779>巴比倫<0895>王<04430>尼布甲尼撒<05020>的手中<09002><03028>，他就拆毀<05642>(8754)這<01836>殿<01005>，又將百姓<05972>擄到<01541>(8684)巴比倫<09001><0895>。
But<03861> after<04481> that our fathers<02> had provoked<07265><00> the God<0426> of heaven<08065> unto wrath<07265>(8684), he gave<03052>(8754) them<01994> into the hand<03028> of Nebuchadnezzar<05020> the king<04430> of Babylon<0895>, the Chaldean<03679>, who destroyed<05642>(8754) this<01836> house<01005>, and carried<01541><00> the people<05972> away<01541>(8684) into Babylon<0895>.
5:13 然而<01297>{<01768>}巴比倫<0895>王<04430>古列<09001><03567>元<02298>年<09002><08140>，{<04430>}{<03567>}他降<07761>(8754)旨<02942>允准建造<09001><01124>(8749)神<0426>的這<01836>殿<01005>。
But<01297> in the first<02298> year<08140> of Cyrus<03567> the king<04430> of Babylon<0895> the same king<04430> Cyrus<03567> made<07761>(8754) a decree<02942> to build<01124>(8749) this<01836> house<01005> of God<0426>.
5:14 神<0426>殿<01005>中的<01768>金<01722>、{<0638>}{<01768>}銀<03702>器皿<03984>，就是<01768>尼布甲尼撒<05020>從<04481>耶路撒冷<09002><03390>的殿<01965>中掠去<05312>(8684)帶到<02987>(8684)巴比倫<0895>廟<09001><01965>裡的，{<01994>}古列<03567>王<04430>從<04481>巴比倫<0895>廟<01965>裡取出來<05312>(8684)，交給<03052>(8753)派為<07761>(8754)省長<06347>的<01768>，名叫<08036>設巴薩<09001><08340>，
And the vessels<03984> also<0638> of<01768> gold<01722> and silver<03702> of the house<01005> of God<0426>, which Nebuchadnezzar<05020> took<05312>(8684) out of<04481> the temple<01965> that was in Jerusalem<03390>, and brought<02987>(8684) them into the temple<01965> of Babylon<0895>, those<01994> did Cyrus<03567> the king<04430> take<05312>(8684) out of<04481> the temple<01965> of Babylon<0895>, and they were delivered<03052>(8753) unto one , whose name<08036> was Sheshbazzar<08340>, whom he had made<07761>(8754) governor<06347>; {governor: or, deputy}
5:15 對他<09001>說<0560>(8754)可以將這些<0412>器皿<03984>帶<05376>(8747)去<0236>(8747)，{<01994>}放<05182>(8680)在耶路撒冷<09002><03390>的<01768>殿<09002><01965>中，在<05922>原處<0870>建造<01124>(8731)神<0426>的殿<01005>。
And said<0560>(8754) unto him, Take<05376>(8747) these<0412> vessels<03984>, go<0236>(8747), carry<05182>(8680) them<01994> into the temple<01965> that is in Jerusalem<03390>, and let the house<01005> of God<0426> be builded<01124>(8731) in<05922> his place<0870>.
5:16 於是<0116>這<01791>設巴薩<08340>來<0858>(8754)建立<03052>(8754){<01768>}耶路撒冷<09002><03390>神<0426>殿<01005>的根基<0787>。這殿<01768>從<04481>那時<0116>直到<05705>如今<03705>尚未<03809>造<01124>(8732)成<08000>(8752)。』
Then<0116> came<0858>(8754) the same<01791> Sheshbazzar<08340>, and laid<03052>(8754) the foundation<0787> of the house<01005> of God<0426> which is in Jerusalem<03390>: and since<04481> that time<0116> even until<05705> now<03705> hath it been in building<01124>(8732), and yet it is not<03809> finished<08000>(8752).
5:17 現在<03705>王<04430>若<02006>以為<05922>美<02869>，請察<01240>(8721){<08536>}巴比倫<09002><0895>王<04430>的<01768>府<09002><01005>庫<01596>，{<01768>}{<04481>}看古列<03567>王<04430>降<07761>(8752)旨<02942>允准在耶路撒冷<09002><03390>建造<09001><01124>(8749){<01791>}神<0426>的殿<01005>沒有<02006><0383>，王<04430>的心意<07470>如何？請降<07972>(8748){<05922>}旨<01836>曉諭我們<05922>。」
Now<03705> therefore, if<02006> it seem good<02869> to<05922> the king<04430>, let there be search<01240>(8721) made in the king's<04430> treasure<01596> house<01005>, which is there<08536> at Babylon<0895>, whether<02006> it be<0383> so , that a decree<02942> was made<07761>(8752) of<04481> Cyrus<03567> the king<04430> to build<01124>(8749) this<01791> house<01005> of God<0426> at Jerusalem<03390>, and let the king<04430> send<07972>(8748) his pleasure<07470> to us concerning<05922> this matter<01836>.
