1; The psalmist exhorts to praise God.
4; He prays for pardon of sin, as God pardoned the fathers.
7; The story of the people's rebellion, and God's mercy.
47; He concludes with prayer and praise.
* (Title.)
As part of the preceding Psalm is found in 1; Ch ch. 16, so the
first and two last verses of this are found in the same place;
and it is highly probable this was composed upon the same
occasion as the former, to which it seems to be a
continuation; for as that celebrates the mercies of God to
Israel, so this confesses and deplores the rebellions of
Israel against Jehovah.
